you know, keri hilson is hit or miss with me. Energy was a great song. the one with timb was not and the one with chris b was not. but i like this song. she is capable of great music but something is still not clicking. she’s is absolutely beautiful, she has a great voice but she is still missing something that makes her great. i don’t know what it is though.

Seems Like she’s trying to rock a Ciaraish, Erykah Baduish swag to me. She’s not quite pulling it off tho. She needs to be a more sure of herself to really be relevant. She has the potential though.

so this is what happens when youre first two singles fail to generate any buzz on your album? Look at some Ciara videos to get some moves *check*, cop Rihanna’s style and stiff dance moves *check*, throw some Keri Hilson in (whatever that is), and show LOTS OF SKIN. I like the video for a few reasons:
1. My boy Weezy is featured. Yeah I am a Lil Wayne Stan too.
2. Me loves houndstooth, and there is lots of it in the video.
3. The eye candy.
4. The “on” and “off” earrings are cute.
On the flip side,
1. Keri herself is not that good of a dancer; she needs Ciara lessons.
2. The song might’ve been a hit if she added T-Pain. Her songs just need that oomph!
3. Its just an OK song by an OK artist, nothing more and nothing less.

Was I the only one that cringed everytime they flickered between the dance scenes? Something just ain’t right. Lmfao, I dunno.. the dancemoves were kinda wack! Even Lil’ Wayne’s verse was “mediocore” & that’s saying something. Keri, baby, you need to take off this “mask” you have on, go back into the studios and show us the real you. Because this shit right here, just ain’t cutting it.
I just hope it’s not too late and we don’t have another Mya/Cassie/Ashanti on our hands.

I’m sorry, but I LOVE LOVE LOVED “Energy”.. perhaps its b/c of where I was in my life at that time, but its a great song and she sings it well. HOWEVER, with that being said, everything I’ve heard since is just “okay” … and thats too bad, b/c she’s a phenomenal writer, pretty face, and has a great voice (heard her sing live, and she gives the biz).
