YBF L.A. Correspondent Shannan was on the scene last night at Carmelo Anthony’s bash to celebrate his new shoe and…just because:
Carmelo brought along his official girl LaLa. Still no word on what the wedding hold up for the engaged couple is. And it looks like Melo wasn’t too keen on showing off his semi-new braidless hair either.
Tyrese flew solo to the party.
And so did the fellas David Banner and Duane Martin. Everybody’s lookin’ laid back nice.

I’m surprised by the Tyra backlash….I’m not going to say y’all are haters, but I have a different perspective. Tyra is the creator, exec producer and host of the show so of course she’s involved. And she is trying to give the models practical advice and her personal experiences wrapped up in one. A lot of contestants misconstrue what the modeling world is about. She says she started the show because she was tired of girls getting taking advantage of by agents who just wanted sex or to take money from aspiring models. Girls want their dream so bad and get themselves in bad situations were they are almost hurt. I was one of those girls and could have gotten killed so I am happy about what she is doing. She is trying to bring awareness and provide a safe place for people to chase their dreams. So please consider that angle.

nobody is hating on her, and I give her props for being a mogul but she is annoying and always makes it about her. Sometimes I wish she would sit back and let people tell their story without trying to relate so badly. And her shows are not always about modeling/modeling scams. Sometimes her shows are about people that have grown through things she has never experienced yet she still tries to make it about herself…

I answered this add for plus-sized models in Atl sizes (10-14) and went with a friend. The photog was a chick, and she was real cool. But when her “stylist” came through and he obviously wasn’t gay and didn’t know anything about clothes, he tried to put his hands all over us while giving “tips” about clothes and my body type. It was uncomfortable and my ride or die friend was about to cut him and we jetted. That was my last go round in the modeling world. There were a lot of people line for the casting, they had a whole office and it looked legit, but it was not at ALL!

All it takes is a dream. My Pastor always says we cant even IMAGINE what God has in store for us; HE will do “exceedingly, abundantly and above anythign we could ask or imagine”. To me, that means youare SUPPOSED to dream big. all of my accomplishments are STRICTLY because of GOD. And I know he’s not done yet. Im going to be General Counsel of a Company one day, as well as own my own business. I think Im DESTINED for greatness. And He’s going to send me a man that more driven than I am, and that wants to provide for me. I LUV IT!! lol.

I’ve been to NY one time and that’s where I was at. LOL!! I was in the car looking around like WTF!!! I may be from the sticks but I’ve traveled lots of different places and that was by far the hoodest destination I’ve been too. I want to go back to NY to check out some other things and go shopping.
