Malia Ann Obama is about to be one of the newest residents of 1600 Pennsylvania. We all got to see her–as well as her little sis Sasha–grow up throughout her dad’s Presidential campaign. And because we love to check out cute YBF chicks in the making, here’s some pics:

She’s almost as tall aa her 6′1 dad and she’s only 10. Oh, and she shares her birthday with Independence Day.
More pics of Miss Malia when you read the rest…
Here’s even more pics of Malia, her mom and dad Barack and Michelle, and her little sister Sasha:

Cuteness. Check out YBF’s feature on Sasha Obama here if you missed it.

Ladies….
As I’ve told ya’ll that O love my daddy, he’s the one that has put me through school and al of that…but his house has never been MY house…I moved to his house when I graduated from high school….and then tha August, I went straight to college…and have only been here on breaks and whatnot….
My step has always had this thing about me coming over their house and cleaning up…like on the weekends when I was little and come over here there was always a sink full of dishes waiting on me or cleaning the bathroom, dusting, mopping something… So eventually you tired of coming to somebody else’s house to clean up…and they pretty much make you feel ungrateful if dont want to do it. That’s pretty much been going on since I was 6….
Well I got here on Friday morning….didnt rreally get settled because my cousin got married Friday night…Why did my stpe moother come upstaris Saturday morning at 9:28 talking about get up and clean up….I’m like I dont even live..at. all. She wanted me to basically help her do a spring cleaning, but she didnt even bother my sisters at all.
My thing IS…I didnt come 1500 hundred miles to clean somebody else’s crib…I have my own house to clean in Chicago..why would I want to come here and clean….plus my daddy dont me to go anywhere…He wants me to stay at home, but I have like my whole mother side to see, plus a flock of cousins that I grew up with that I want to kick it with…He dont realize that I’m 27 years old and not a child anymore….We exchange some heavy words…I dont think our relationship will be the same.
My boyfriend is coming on Wednesday…I dont know how he is going to react to that….

The last time I spoke to my dad was in I think 2003. Even though I’m up here in Nashville, he lives about 15 minutes from my Mom. The last time I talked to him he was asking me was I married, do I have kids, where do I live, what am I doing now…I was glad to talk with him, but it was pissing me off that this man was asking me questions that he should know the answer too. I am not upset with him or anything but I think it is sad that I haven’t seen or heard from him since 2003 and my brother transferred from Fisk to UTC and he doesn’t even know he’s in college. That is ridiculous. I praise God that Barack is in their lives and that he puts family first. If men really knew how detrimental it was for them to be in their children’s lives…they would do all they could to play the role they should play in a child’s life.

My dad, I love him, but he’s always showed the tough love and I guess that’s from being in the military.I want to feel like I’m his daughter and not some soilder.I can’t complain though, he helped payed for my college and putting my brothers and sisters through it too. Foley,
I even tried to talk to my daddy…this nigga said he wasnt even trying to understand where I’m coming from…and that he’s not going to go back and forth with me….so what am I suppose to do….Now we walking around not even speaking…
I heard him tell my stepmom to not ask me to do anything cause I was a lazy fat cow…How do you think that made me feel? I feel like my dad has this expectations of what he wants me to be…and to him I’m not….He wants me to be a homeowner, a wife, a mom…and be a size 6 (even though my stepmom is not)
So I confronted him about what he said…I said so if my boyfriend called me that you’d be ready to fight him and if you are talking to your wife like that you wrong for that too…He could even say nothing…cause now I know whgat goes on when I’m not here…
This trip has really made me realized that I’m not moving back tp Dallas…and that I have to do my best to start my won life in Chicago and start my family there….

Barack Obama is such a stand up guy. Even though he didn’t know his father well growing up, he hasn’t let that stop him from being a great father to his girls. Hopefully more men (and even women) will look to him as an example that despite what your family situation is there is room for success. B/c frankly, I’m tired of hearing Black men use there fathers’ absence for the reason they don’t know or can’t get ahead. That should be motivation to be better than him.
And as another person said, Barack is showing his girls how a man is supposed to treat a woman. They won’t ever accept bullshit because they know that they’re worth more than that. Whoever steps to them will have some big shoes to fill, which is how it should be. I commend Barack and Michelle for raising beautiful children and showing the world a healthy, positive black family.

Wassamatta sis?
—————————————————————————-
You are a grown woman and sometimes you have to remind your parents of that. It only hurts them because it takes time for them to realize that their baby is now an adult just like them.
My father is the same way. He’s real strong headed and old-school in his thoughts about the parent-child relationship (he’s African and they have real strong guidelines about that). So we bump heads a lot. A whole lot, to the point where I don’t speak to his ass because its disrespectful. I look at Obama and how he treats his daughters and i’m like why can’t I have that? Damn what did I do? But you know what though? There’s going to come a point where it will hit him (if it hasn’t already) that he raised a responsible independent woman who’s not afraid to do what she wants…But now its like walking on ice with him, and its okay because I know he loves me..he just has a fucked up way of showing it.
————————————————————————-
Foley,
I even tried to talk to my daddy…this nigga said he wasnt even trying to understand where I’m coming from…and that he’s not going to go back and forth with me….so what am I suppose to do….Now we walking around not even speaking…
Awww I’m sorry to hear that. You know what, do what makes you happy and if your mother is proud of you, fuck what everyone else thinks..I’ve learned how to do that, cuz my pops does the same thing..talks all this shit behind my back to my mother, and my pastor at my church and even my sister..so I said it don’t matter what you think of me..cuz when I make it, don’t you ask me for a single thing..I will put your ass in a home and keep it moving..If you don’t support me, then there’s no reason for me to do the same.
I guess my perspective may be a little different (as usual :P ) because I lost my Father. He was an alcoholic and made life kind of unbearable, but when he died, I felt pain like I had not experienced before.. not because he passed away, but because my brother was hurt because they did not get along and he went into the Army before they could get it reconciled, and my Dad passed away while he was gone. I admit, I did not treat my Dad the best and it was because of the alcohol, he was a butt hole when he drank, but I made sure that after my mother died to try to treat him with the respect that he could not give out. I saw the pain in his eyes everyday after my mom passed away, and he was never the same.. So I say all that to say..no matter how he treats you, make sure you treat him how God would have you to, so if something does happen, you will know that you have done all that you can…

Yeah…I’ve long ago shut my dad out of my life. Too many broken promises and flat out lies.
But what hurts the most is that I have a 16 year old brother who has to learn how to be a man from everyone but my dad.
My mom, my grandmother, my uncles, and his football coaches. Its really pathetic.
As long as your brother has positive men around him and taking an active role in his life he’ll be fine. I do believe that boys need that role model but it doesnt always have to be their biological father. I’m sure ya brother will be just fine…
Yeah because honestly my dad isnt the type of person I want around my brother.
And besides he has my grandmother to jack him up and give him one of those “country whippins” her mama gave her where he has to “scrape himself off the floor!!” LOL

My dad is like “don’t get me nothing” because he can for years with the same shoes, clothes, anything! He still wearing the same shoes my brothers and sisters and I bought him like 10 years ago and they still in good condition.I do buy him a card because my dad just don’t like material things.I bought him a Subway gift card last year, he still hasn’t used it, lol.
So I say all that to say..no matter how he treats you, make sure you treat him how God would have you to, so if something does happen, you will know that you have done all that you can…
Yeah thats true.
I just cant see myself ever calling him or trying to start a conversation. I wouldnt even know what to say.
I would probably go crazy on him…
And it is very hard finding the words to say to someone who treats you like crap, but even if it’s a forced ” I love You”, say it, and let that be the end of the convo..
*Whew* Thats gonna take some practice.
But thanks
Besides Im willing to be the better person!

Sometimes the best thing about this website is the OBAMA juice. It’s like the only time the haters don’t come out in droves and we can all agree that this is a great family with beautiful children and a smart woman by his side. Aside from the slutty comments people make about getting with the president (even though we may think them *smile*) it’s a little less ignorant and it is uplifting. I hope it never goes away. I love the Obama’s they make me happy dammit.

I know i’m wrong to say this, but there is something strange looking about Malia. I don’t want to get too specific, but there is just something off… Maybe it’s because she’s just really tall?!?! Little sis, Sasha is sooooooo cute though!!!! She’s one of the most adorable girls I’ve seen!

She is so cute! Looking just like Michelle. And at the age of 10 her level of intelligence and articulation says alot about Barack and Michelle as parents. THIS is the kind of black familty I don’t mind representing us internationally.
