Beyonce’s “Roc”+Michelle Gets Fab
Check out this newly leaked track left off of Sasha Fierce. It’s called “Roc” and we all know who B meant it for…
And speaking of former Destiny’s Child chicks, Michelle Williams is revealing a new look in Corduroy magazine. And talking about her new leaf:
“My goal isn’t to sell-out stadiums or be on the cover of magazines anymore,” she says. “My dream path is just to get that loyal fan base. I don’t care if it’s a hundred million or a hundred thousand. I’d rather play an underground club where people all know your songs than perform for audiences who have no idea who you are.”

“There is that glamour side to me,” she says, “but then there is that girl who just wants to chill out at a café in Brooklyn or be in Chicago by the lake, without a sequined dress and heels on.” Asked about her perfect night out, Williams says she prefers staying in with friends, catching up over drinks and her specialty: homemade mac and cheese.
Williams also speaks out at length about her new solo venture and the breakup of Destiny’s Child: “Now I can finally just do me,” Williams says; “no more pleasing other people, no more compromising what I want. As a group, we all had to agree. But now, it’s just me.”
“People are naturally going to say ‘oh that’s the girl from Destiny’s Child,’” she says. “That’s my foundation and I don’t think it’s ever going to go away.”
“But now I just want to be known as Michelle Williams, period. Not ‘Michelle Williams from Destiny’s Child.’”

I liked the unreleased track. Keep them coming.
@Michelle…she has a pretty decent gospel fan base. However, she needs to come with a better CD. I purchased that CD and its a stretch of the imgaination to say its a solid CD. I will support the Destiny Child’s clan but her false sense of security thinking she can stand alone is sad.
Destiny Child helped her career tremendously and she better THANK the musical gods for being a member of one of the best female group.
Compromising sometimes pays off.

Remember Bootylicious I would say that was pretty Sasha too. Michelle’s voice is solid and her and poor Kelly weren’t damned to be apart of Music World and getting songs Beyonce wouldn’t sing I feel they’d both be doing better.

Beyonce deserves her props. Come on, the girl sets her goals and is working hard to achieve them. I dont think her hustle should be dissed. If she wasnt working her butt off we would call her lazy. I actually like her CD and when your CD is not promoted and held back a couple of times that is what you get. If you don’t like it, you don’t like. Michelle seems to be grounded in who she is and that’s what matters. There are plenty of artist who have a small fanbase, like Tamia, Vivian Green or Shanice, who are doing well. I don’t think Michelle planned on having a gospel singing career, that was just a gimmick that the girls put out three different albums in different genres and people automatically thought “Oh, Michelle is a gospel singer.” People don’t remember that she started singing back up for Monica, just like Vivian Green started singing back up for Jill Scott. wish people would just give her chance, just my two cents.

Say Jay-z does have a child somewhere, why hide it and emotionally damage a kid in order to fool the whole world into thinking the kid is your nephew? I mean cause Jay-z was a find upstanding drug pushing individual before he hit the rap game. I like the song. As for Michelle and Kelly both I think that they will never get a fair shot being managed by Beyonces father. Michelle has fans who love her music I am on of her…i hate going to see concerts at big stadiums because they don’t see you and u hardly see them unless your in the front row. My favorite concerts were at BBQs where i got to see Monica, Toni Braxton, Neyo and so many more and i actually held their hands and they signed autographs and stuff. You don’t get that at Madison square garden plus the tickets are cheaper and your getting much more…As for beyonce’s song’s her cd couldve been better and i actually like michelles and kellys better…i know i know…oh well its the truth…but beyonce’s music will get played so much that it will start to grow on me

Respect the younglady Michelle for speaking how she wants too be . Double disc sets count as one sale no matter how many discs make up that set, that’s right on soundscans website. Now you sound like a queef and need to be ignored.

When Nielsen SoundScan counts sales of albums, one album sold is one album sold, no matter how many CDs make up the album. So if someone buys a copy of the double-CD version of Celine Dion’s new “My Love: Essential Collection,” it does count as one album sold, not two.
For the RIAA a double set is counted as two sales but the RIAA is not soundscan now is it?

Okay, it is really said how we treat each other. Especially, by it being a Sunday. Why are you guys arguing over someone you really don’t know and probably will never meet. Beyonce comes across as being a good girl and very hardworking. Nobody can’t take that away from her. We also know that Michelle is the same way. Even though she has poor management. I have a better idea, if you hate Beyonce so much why the heck are you in a news blurb about her and her man? Pick up the Introduction to Logic book and Venn diagram this one out. Beyonce released two albums on the same day, one regular and one deluxe with extra songs ……so technically she released 3 disc’s this means that her fans purchased both Albums the Deluxe Version and the Regular version this counted a double sales, check your fact.

Beyonce is still a top selling artist but when they clealy stated that they wanted to sell 750k to a mili the first week, its a complete failure compared to the expectations and the promotions that she is still doing. this being said, 480k or 500k is still good but for all that promotion and her caliber, I really thought she would have sold 1 million! Not trying to take anything away from Michelle or Kelly, but they just don’t seem to have the star quality or presence that Bey has. People keep blaming Matthew Knowles, everyone just were not meant to be a hugh star. They were both fine in Destinay’s Child but as solo artist they don’t seem to be strong enough artist for whatever reason. Even in Destiny’s child, the attention and focus always went to Bey.

Why make a double album of NOTHING? There is a count of 6 songs on “I AM Beyonce” and another 5 worthless tracks on “Sasha Fierce”. Apparently, the Itunes album has more songs. If you ask me, there ain’t a damn thing “Fierce” on either one of those worthless CDs. I bought both of her previous CDs and I was expecting the same quality- emphasis on expecting.
If those were picks from 100s of songs, then she should scrap them all and go back to the drawing board.

This unleaked track isnt all that.. Damn i used my study break on this! its an ite song. the lyrics arent deep or believable and theres nothing special about the vocals. BUt on the other hand, the point of making dozens of songs is to scrap some (maybe take some of the best lines in one song and use it in another one)… so i agree with B, its an ite song and not good enough for an album…

I like the cd…it’s very different than anything she has done, but I like it. I actually prefer the mellow tracks of the I Am.. disc over the Sasha Fierce disc

I cannot believe that there are so many ppl who are responding so negatively towards Michelle because she has had a change in her career goals. I don’t think that there is anything wrong with having a solid fanbase who loves your music and supports you as an artist. I think Michelle is a decent artist and I think she could be even better if she had some better management. Basically, as long as she has ties to Matthew Knowles and World Music, she will never get the exposure she deserves. She will never be considered as a top priority cause there is only one top priority over there and that is Beyonce.

200+ comments of bullshit….now its my turn…i actually like the track…should have been on the album and that diva shit should have been cut. that is one wack ass song and she got the nerve to be doing a video for it. please beyonce…sit the fuck down and have kids now…your done…i actually listened to a few songs online ( no way in hell i was buying the cd)and i was disappointed as a whole. im not a fan…but i liked about 3 out of the 16 and if i were a boy has definitely grown on me. she has substance but its like another mary j album…after u fall in love u just say fuck it with the music and start writing/ producing bullshit.
