“Real Housewife” NeNe Leakes EVICTED!
Well isn’t this peculiar. ATL Housewife NeNe Leaks has been evicted from her “lavish home” in a gated Sugerloaf community in Atlanta.
Apparently the home she and her Greg and her sons were living in on the Bravo “Real Housewives of Atlanta” show was being rented. And they owe over $6,400 in back rent. Interesting since these chicks from the show were talking big and bad about balling out of control. But we all knew some folks were frontin’ for the cameras.
According to the AJC, here’s NeNe’s response when asked where she’s been living since she was evicted in September:
NeNe Leakes, in a series of e-mails Tuesday, would not say where she is living now. “It’s none of your business,” she wrote. But she noted that they “are financial able [sic] and stable to live where ever we feel fits.”
She also says “people don’t really know her relationship with Greg”. Um, what? So they’re possibly not married either? WTF is really hood with the poserificness in the ATL? And we also reported several months ago that a birdie told us many folks on the show were frontin’ and rentin’. We hear Sheree was put out of her house as well. No clothes for her fashion line to go along with her no house having self. Womp! And NeNe isn’t the only Housewife on the show frontin’ and rentin’. Womp womp! But you haven’t heard that from me….

I really don’t care, I love me some Ne Ne! She never said that she owns the house. But, the only ones that probably really own is Deshawn. The rest of them Sheree, Kim, and Lisa are all probably renting and frontin. Ne Ne keeps it all the way real. I like that! It was a single family home, looked like it had a nice yard. But everyday people here in DC have those. It wasn’t a mansion or anything. Just nice and humble, enough for them.

yeah, their family seemed the most geniune but whatever Im going through my own struggle cant kill myself over hers btw its a recession, maybe she had money but was effected during the recession. i know I was effected so good luck nene!!

It’s sad how people (especially my black folk) need material things to feel like they are somebody of significance. I said don’t believe the hype it’s the Black Mecca and land of opportunities . I researched Atlanta job market and the only big Companies that came up were Delta,Airtran, UPS, Coca-Cola and a few others. Shit Philly has more big companies then that.Not to mention that people were down there buying houses without a job. Talking about I’m a model, producer, singer and whatever else . Everybody down there has the same goals . The only jobs available are customer service and that’s not for me I barely like to answer my cell phone . The ID theft and credit scams has been high for the last 7 yrs .I went there last yr and wasn’t impressed at all. Chicago takes ATL any day. Co-sign. I also live in Atlanta and I have worked with some of the old money blacks in Atlanta. I was shocked that the new money women were even chosen for this show. Although I am not surprised that most of them are posers because that is what some new money people tend to do.
Either way this is not indicative of Atlanta. The city has old real black money and REAL “elite” folks that actually would never be seen flaunting it on TV.

Barack and Michelle Obama worked and lived right in Chicago, which has horrific crime, gang and poverty issues and they still were hella successful. I am a little older than you guys so here is my 2 cents.
I moved to Atlanta back in 1995 and I still love it. But it depends on who you are around and certainly who you listen to. Atlanta’s mecca status was built on the backs of the educated, old black money and entreprenuer. When LaFace Records came into Atlanta in the early 90s they ushered in a strong music scene that was actually pretty positive for the city, but around 1997 rappers started to get wind of the city’s progress and they came in bringing their obsession with flash, drama and strippers.
The real black folks of Atlanta know what time it is. The n*ggas are caught up in the whole mecca status for an entirely different reason. And trust their idea of a mecca has nothing to do with education, family and real growth.

I said don’t believe the hype it’s the Black Mecca and land of opportunities . I researched Atlanta job market and the only big Companies that came up were Delta,Airtran, UPS, Coca-Cola and a few others. Shit Philly has more big companies then that.Not to mention that people were down there buying houses without a job. Talking about I’m a model, producer, singer and whatever else . Atlanta is considered the “black mecca” however you must not forget that it is still considered the “south”. I moved here a year ago and most whites are extremely racist here. And lets not talk about jobs, they are very scarce, unless you know someone or have a highly desirable skill set, you will find yourself in the unemployment line. Don’t read into the black mecca too much, because it is far from what you may think.

Ok! I understand these people appeared wealthy but there was nothing that stated their wealth was forever and they could not fall on hard times. To gloat over someone’s hard times is really tacky and opening the door for Karma.
I live in Charlotte, NC and I still see the same mess that I saw in Atlanta, just on a smaller scale. Actually I am seriously considering moving back to Atlanta. Reality TV is not Real Reality most of the time. When they showed where NeNe lived, I looked it up in the tax records-No Leakes in the neighborhood. Lisa is not a licensed real estate agent in Georgia according to the real estate commission website. I know “celebrities” often conduct businesses under aliases. DeShawn is a licensed real estate agent and had a company (she wasn’t the broker though). Sheree was getting a divorce, so we knew where that was going. Don’t know anything about Kim.
Kudos to Bravo though because although I said I refuse to watch the show after the pilot…I found myself getting sucked in and watching just about every episode. It was entertaining!
The bad thing is that people thing that it’s real and try to live their lives like that. People always have said that Atlanta is home of the $30,000 MILLIONAIRE!

Honestly, why are black people always looking for Meccas and pots of gold? Barack and Michelle Obama worked and lived right in Chicago, which has horrific crime, gang and poverty issues and they still were hella successful. A Mecca is where you are determine to educate yourself and thrive no matter the circumstances. Think on it.

I moved to Atlanta back in 1995 and I still love it. But it depends on who you are around and certainly who you listen to. Atlanta’s mecca status was built on the backs of the educated, old black money and entreprenuer. When LaFace Records came into Atlanta in the early 90s they ushered in a strong music scene that was actually pretty positive for the city, but around 1997 rappers started to get wind of the city’s progress and they came in bringing their obsession with flash, drama and strippers.
The real black folks of Atlanta know what time it is. The n*ggas are caught up in the whole mecca status for an entirely different reason. And trust their idea of a mecca has nothing to do with education, family and real growth.[/quote]

I actually feel pretty sad for all people who get evicted or have money troubles now, regardless how they were before. It is terrible to have no place to live, have uncertainty and fear. Something is breaking down in our society, people are passing by not willing to help anyone. Terrible! I was never team Nene. Remember, there is massive identity and mortgage fraud here. Go to the W tomorrow night for drinks…and you will see all the “beautiful people” around faking it.

Mrs. Leaks has relocated from her residence at the Stonebriar at Sugarloaf in which she has moved into another lavish residential home in which one is a townhome within the same Sugarloaf/N.Brown vicinity. I personally don’t believe anyone was fronting, none of the housewives ever stated their mortgage agreements with anyone on the show nor on BRAVO. If you ask me, renting is equivalent to mortgage.
As far as Sheree goes, she is currently attempting to sell her house in Sandy Springs. She may or maynot be able to continue to afford a house of its magnitude being a single mother.
But in this economy, most of us really don’t have the “space” to talk!

I’m not downing any of these people, can’t believe that in Atlanta of all places, Bravo couldn’t find five affluent African American couples that had no affiliation with athletics. To me, this continues to perpetuate the stereotype that Black people can’t have money unless there in athletes of some sort, and as a young Black male pursuing a career in Psychology, this somewhat offends me. Surely there are Black doctors, lawyers, bankers, and other professionals who would have been willing to show the world that we are also successful in all sectors. Take a look at the other Real Housewive shows. None of them are athletes are they?

I knew NeNe was not wealthy when I saw her graduating son on the show and his teeth were a bit yellow. Anyone with money to burn would have brightened those babies up!! Even still I enjoyed Nene.
DeShawn was a nice person but downright boring,thats why I believe she is not returning, Lisa said it best at the reunion show when Andy asked DeShawn a question and with DeShawns silent response Lisa chimed in saying Crickets…..

These women didn’t live in Buckhead which is much more affluent than Gwinnett County. NeNe and Greg were renters that owed back rent, they were evicted as they should be. NeNe is now seen on camera supposedly buying fabric with Dwight. How can she afford to decorate her home is she couldn’t pay her previous rent?
These women aren’t the brightest, they’re all living paycheck to paycheck and once the RHOA ends they’ll be evicted and living in the ghetto.
I used to love NeNe, this season she’s as phony and broke as the rest of these women.
