Evening Tidbits: Ciara, Teyana Taylor & Dude Who PIMP Slapped Katt Williams!

She’s about to shoot the video for “Never Ever” with Jeezy and The Dream. And I’m told she also may be shooting a side video for her “Diva” remix. Hot.
So as a follow up to the PIMP DOWN situation involving Katt Williams–the man who slapped him in the club on NYE has spoken out to VIBE today. Here’s a snippet of what he had to say:
“I wasn’t even paying attention,” the man says. “I was talking to someone else while he was doing it. And then he pointed at me. I walked over to a couple of friends of mine, and they told me, ‘He’s clowning you.’ So I walked over there and asked [Katt], ‘So what you say? I don’t play that joke shit.’ So he was like, ‘And what?’ He didn’t even admit what he said when I asked him.”
The man said he proceeded to pimp slap the pint-sized star of “The Pimp Chronicles,” who was recently hospitalized in South Carolina for a mental evaluation.
“He was still on some comedy stuff after I slapped him, I swear,” the man says baffled. “After I slapped him, he jumped back and he was still talking and it was some girls holding him back. It was actually some girls in the club grabbing bottles like they wanted to do something to me too, like trying to protect him. He stopped and actually grabbed a square and was trying to light his cigarette. It was on some comedy stuff to me. He was trying to get his square lit, he took like two puffs, and he tried to charge back at me. But at this time, the security was heading me towards the door.”

Apparently the slapper was rocking some $5,000 gator boots and Katt was clowning him for them. Needless to say, the dude wanted to remain anonymous but he’s from the Detroit’s infamous Jeffrey Projects. Hood *iggas don’t play that ish. Especially when they spent their year’s worth of subsidized rent on their damn boots. *SMDH*

Katt Williams got what he deserved! You just don’t come up in no club in the D talking slick about some random dude cause we don’t play like that. Oh and just because it says that dude is from the projects doesn’t mean he lives there. My mom always reps the projects she grew up in but she hasn’t lived there in years. And when you see those Benz’s and Lexus in the projects just know that tose people driving them more than likely don’t live there, but that is the spot where to dope dealers are serving them fenes!
@ TT - she is cute and I remember her saying that she taught B how to do the Chicken Noodle Soup and that B told her she was a star, before she made it big. I think it’s cute and of course she didn’t do it as good as Bey but she did the damn thing!
Something is off with Ciara’s clothes or something. It’s just not fitting on her and she would be a real lame if she also re-made Single ladies. Now I honestly like her version of Diva better (the song suits her more IMO) but she shouldn’t dare touch SL.

I agree w/ Detroit Red about Ciara and he unnaturalness (if that’s a word…probably not). She just comes off so phony to me from the fake laughs to the “oh ur so sweet”. She can dance her ass off but that’s about it. Oh and lately her shoe game has been on point…
Teyana did a good job at memorizing the choreography for Single Ladies (I know I’m still tryna get it down, LOL) But if she’s an artist w/ her own songs why is she doing someone else’s? She should be promoting her own shit not another artists’ who sold way more records than she did. IMO

Teyana did a good job, nice to see her outside of her tomboy atmosphere, but it would have really been gangsta if she performed the dance in her usual attire.

i had said i was not going to say anything harsh about ciara because i realized from reading other comments from other blogs that it must hurt her feelings. i am just going to voice my opinion. i am starting to see this competition thing with ciara regarding beyonce. at first i did not think it was a big deal with the remix of Diva, but a video? it is like she is trying her hardest to outshine beyonce. what ciara needs to do, and i don’t mean this in a bad way, is to concentrate on moving up her status in the R&B category up. stop focusing on trying to out do beyonce. ciara has new competition coming in the game. beyonce may be the thing now, but there are new ones trying to make it in. etc. Jasmine Sulivan and others. ciara is already up there in status but trying to keep up with beyonce is going to bring her down a couple of notches. ciara just be you, put blinders on and don’t focus on anyone else. find your own lane. you had your own lane earlier in your career,but you decided to change. i am not a fan of your singing voice, but always look forward to seeing you dance. plus you have other talents…..my opinion
