Jill Scott has confirmed her preggers status to the Television Critics Association at a conference yesterday. She and her fiance Lil Jon Roberts, a drummer in her band, are ecstatic. And she’s already past her first trimester:
“The first trimester I spent in Botswana. That was one of the biggest challenges of my life. First trimester! You’re sick every morning. It was seven hours time difference, the heat, the bugs, the 14 hour days.”
She was in Botswana while filming her new HBO series “The No 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency”. She’s due April 25th and says her doc gave her the green light to go ahead and film the show. The news was first reported by AOL Black Voices a couple months ago. Loves it all. Congrats to Jilly!
