J-Hud & Fam Pre-Grammys+Poprah Makes A Comeback+T.D. Jakes’ Son ARRESTED!
Remember the loud 40 year old talkative drama queen Poprah from “I Want To Work For Diddy”? Well she’s getting her own segment on a new show debuting on CW network this summer. Here’s what her reps sent over:
With other on-air projects in the works, Poprah is also lending her expertise and name recognition to a historic new reality show called “The Write Stuff” that will debut during the summer of 2009 in over 20 cities throughout the country on the CW Network. Executive Produced by Cyrus A. Webb of Shadow Play Entertainment and Celebrity Sports & Talent Agent Glenn Toby the show will take 14 contestants who believe they have what it takes to be the next big thing in publishing through challenges that will test whether or not they really have ‘the write stuff’. At stake will be a book deal for the winner and over $16,000 in prizes to aide them in making their book a success.
“We are excited about Poprah being a part of this project with us,” says Webb,33. He first was introduced to Poprah in 2008 as she was competing on I WANT TO WORK FOR DIDDY. “She has alot to offer, and I think she will be a great asset.”
Don’t know about taking career advice from someone who couldn’t win a show about getting a career, but it’ll be entertaining nonetheless. I just know they better not had removed “The Game” for this ish.
So Jennifer HUdson’s family members, including her sister Julia Hudson (second from left), accompanied her to the Grammys. And they took lots of pics before the big show to remember the occasion.

And Jermaine Jakes, son of Evangelist T.D. Jakes, was arrested for lewd behavior last month. Apparently he walked up to one of two detectives at a park in Dallas with his pants unzipped. He then began to masturbate while making eye contact with the detective. He was charged with indecent exposure. Just…wow.

I don’t know about that…but it is a lot of pressure associated with being the child of a prominent pastor. You are under heavy scrutiny ALL THE TIME! And people that don’t want to say something mean about the pastor will attack his wife and kids instead. Obviously, he has some issues. Members require so much of a pastor’s time and attention, sometimes they don’t even really know what’s going on at home because they are rarely there.

It was about teens, sex, and birth control. He was completely against teens being able to access birth control w/out their parent’s permission. And everytime the woman gynocologist Dr. Phil had on the panel tried to talk, he’d just completely start talking over her saying sex education is up to parents and then he’d start preaching. It was completely disrespectful and over the top. After that I was 100 % against him. I can’t roll w/that type of attitude.

TD Jakes is doing what he feels he is ordained to do. Quite frankly he USED Dr. Phil’s show as a vehicle to fulfil his assignment. He was able to reach families, homes, and indivuduals through that show that would not normally tune-in to a spiritually-based broadcast. After all, you watched it and you clearly have a disdain for him. So I believe his mission was accomplished. i am a preacher’s child and that is a misconception about we are the worse ones. How is that? Like non-preacker kids are perfect. my parents have nothing to do with the wrong decisions, i made as a teenager/adult. we all have issues/problems God deals with us individually and you have to know him for yourself. So stop saying preacher kids are worse because the only difference is my mother/father is a preacher and yours is not. the devil probably comes after us worse to discredit our parents, but people with common sense knows that i have nothing to do with what my father/mother do because they were chosen by God to preach and not me.

i have to agree with u cuz my pastor and wife has 10 kids and they were all brought up in church but when they got GROWN AND GOT THEIR OWN MINDS some of them strayed and did what they wanted to do but that doesnt mean my pastor and his wife did anything wrong and the kids who strayed also said their parents did nothing wrong..so i feel you and my heart goes out to u and ur family having to go thru with ur siblings but ur mama and daddy or not to blame as parents and man and woman of God they did what they were supposed to do, as parents we cant control what our kids do once they get their own minds..all we can do is try our best to raise decent adults…

My overall disdain for preachers period probably has something to do with my dislike for TD Jakes, but ugh, he just rubs me the wrong way. A guest appearance on Dr. Phil sealed the deal for me. It was about teens, sex, and birth control. He was completely against teens being able to access birth control w/out their parent’s permission. And everytime the woman gynocologist Dr. Phil had on the panel tried to talk, he’d just completely start talking over her saying sex education is up to parents and then he’d start preaching. I believe God would want people to treat others with respect and the way he was talking over everyone like his opinion was right and theirs was wrong, was not treating the others with respect. First of all, not everyone is a Christian. Not everyone lives their life by the bible. There are several religions. That is why religion should have nothing to do with a conversation about teens, sex, and access to birth control
2., What T.D. Jakes’ son did is a reflection on him no matter how you spin it. Thats the way society works. It was no different for President Bush when his daughters were wilding out.
3., I don’t have anything to be careful about. I never said anything bad about T.D. Jakes in my original statement other than that he acts holier than thou. Which, in my opinion, he does.

Family is just that we got to love them. I never pay any attention to that ring cause I try like heck to ignore these two as a couple! They are so spoofy lookin, it looks like something PUT together.
