I’m so pleased by the way Kanye handled himself in his interview. It’s refreshing to hear his point of view without there being some media filter or spin put on his comments. He seems like he has matured leaps and bounds and I’m proud of him…especially as a black man to be traveling the world and keeping an open mind. I love that his main message that straight black men tend to treat gay black men like they’re contagious is absolutely ridiculous. At the end of the day, everyone is entitled to choose what lifestyle works for them but we should treat one another with respect because we ARE all human beings. This is a nice side of Kanye to see…it kinda makes you look past his crazy hair :)

Love J hud’s voice, she knows when to go full throttle and let the soul drip in every note and knows when to pull back and keep it light. She understands the integrity of each song she sings so that she can be played on stations like Power105 or Z100. Very happy that she seems to getting along well, I hope that she is in therapy to help her get through this. With that being said, I love the song!

I just have to say with all this Chris and Ri-Ri drama… I havent heard anyone say anything about postponing her endorsements until the air is cleared… I mean in society, we tend to view domestic violence as what men do to women, but in fact many men are abused as well…. I mean with all the photos of Chris in another country with another girl, who’s to say that she didnt start hitting him while he was driving and he fought back(I dont agree that he should have)but stranger things have happened. Ri-Ri looks like a strong minded girl,with a lil’ temper, I think it’s possible she could’ve put her hands on him, angry with the fact that he is out and about with someone else. I think if his endorsements are suspended,songs are banned, her’s should be as well..until she is proven innocent, she could have been the aggressor and he got the best of the fight, and because shes a woman, we automatically take her side.. and he hasnt even given his side yet, not fair at all, domestic violence laws apply for men as well as women.. Just saying food for thought… and I am a female.

I had one boyfriend who I found out was doing God Knows what back in Jamaica. I told him I wanted to use condoms and he had the nerve to slap the crap out of me. He slapped me so hard that blood came out of my nose. The only way he left my house is because I grabbed the phone and pressed 911. He jumped up and left.
I’ve also have had my feel of being involved in scams by the men I was dealing with. I myself never do anything to break the law, but the men I was involved with was deep in the crap and when the police came into the picture I was left out to dry and I was innocent.
I have been dealing with African American Christian men and I have had MUCH better luck in my life.
I think it has a lot to do with the poverty and lifestyle. Almost everyone wants what the people in America has in terms of wealth. They might not want to say it but they do. To be honest it’s not just the men who are not worth much either. I have female family and old friends that I do not even talk to because they are always on a scam or worse.Some of the women can be just as underhanded because of the men. But back to the men, I think what women in the US don’t understand is the west indian man’s mindset. Many (not all) are terrible liars and cheaters. The violence is another thing too. I always tell the few American friends I have made here to NOT get involved with a man fresh from the Islands. You are playing with fire.
One of my co-workers was dating a man from my homeland–Jamaica—and she told me she thought he was cheating. I told her to just pay attention and if she catches him in lies, then he probably is cheating. so the next week after she told me this, she comes to work with stitches in her forehead. She privately told me that she followed him and caught him going to another woman’s house and when she approached him as he walked to the doorway, he punched he to the ground. Sorry to say but he was illegal so calling the police would do no good.
I hate to say it, but I distance myself from a lot of people from where I came from. They seem to always have stealing and wickedness in their minds.

My husband is west indian and he is a very good man and comes from a good family that excepts me more than my own extended family. it is sad that black people are the first to complain about people saying that “blacks should go back to africa” but it is so sad to here black people spew the same hatful speach.

Not at all…..So if she hit him, she shouldnt be held accountable for her actions?…are YOU kidding?…we all dont know what happened, we only know what she said, and what they are saying that happened….she may have bruises, but for all we know, he may have some too…what I simply said was we dont have all the facts, and to stop jumping to conclusions. Now that Im hearing parts of her versions, I believe she played more of a role than she’s letting on, but I still believe he should be held accountable for hitting her, but if she hit him as well, she should be accountable also, and the same treatment everyone is giving him, should apply to her as well….
