only thing is….her voice is so strong and at one point i thought she’d take over the song, belt out a note or something, and nada. it is like she doesn’t showcase her voice. the beat/background singers seemed just as loud as she did. damn, now i sound like an idol judge. is it me though?

I feel the same way about Jennifer Hudson… she has such a lovely voice but I don’t like any of her songs. I think this song is nice though. The beat is catchy.

I dunno………….she’s talented and has a unique sound that’s different which is good and bad. Good is you stand out, bad is when you don’t have the right direction and overall production that makes your uniqueness standout or shine. The song AND video are too short. I need artists to extend their creativity … give me some sense of longevity. So… I suppose the video is standard. The song? Def not her best work. The beat totally overpowered her voice. This is not her style. They are trying to put her in a box she shouldnt be in. Her audience should not be the yougins, same as Jennifer. Trying to get both yougins and mature audience, but all the while losing the organic rawness of the voice. Still buying the CD. If she sells alot, then they will let her do her. That’s the game they play.

Of course Chrisette has an awesome voice, I was wit her from day one when she wasn’t even as highly recognized as she is now. I especially loved that song (i forgot the words) but it was talking about what you hoped to find your love and meeting him at the altar). Wished that couldve been on your 1rst album.
