Rihanna’s camp is firing off the first response to nude pictures, allegedly of Rihanna, that hit the internet today.
TMZ has learned the legal department at Island Def Jam Music Group, RiRi’s label, sent a letter to at least one website that published the photos. The letter refers to “unauthorized photos purported to be…Rihanna,” demands that the photos be removed from the site, and calls the photos a violation of “the Artist’s rights.”
It’s not clear whether Rihanna really is the woman in the buff because you can’t see her face in the nude shots. She is clearly pictured in two fully clothed pics.
Interestingly, the letter from Island Def Jam does not deny (or confirm) if it’s really Rihanna.

I support RIhanna through all this Chris Brown mess because its OBVIOUSLY the only position to take (LOOKING DIRECTLY AT YOU PUFF), but I’m not going to sit here and say some dumb crap about how everyone makes mistakes, blah blah blah.

It’s sad to say but I think there is a difference between Cassie and Rihanna in these two situations. Cassie is someone who has been crying out for attention this whole damn month, has something to gain from having her pictures released. Her pictures scream “publicity stunt”. Rihanna has album sales, tours, rocks hot shit everyday, is adored by white people like you wouldn’t believe, and has endorsements, why would she want this attention? I think Rih was in love and being silly, so calling her a slut seems harsh. This won’t break her career, especially since she’s never been known for being squeaky clean. I think it will blow over.

I just wanted to say to all the impressionable YOUNG black women out there, as I once was, please don’t let this give you any ‘bright ideas’ about how to get attention or fame or even the love of a man. Usually in this instance, the starlet gets a ‘cut’ of the profits which usually keeps her mouth shut and forces her to grin and bare the humiliation.
Man, bring back the days of TLC, SWV, En Vogue, Mary J, you remember, the days when you kept your private life private and your clothes ON where possible! I remember there was a time i could say, with my head held high that black women were too proud, too dignified to partake in such foolishness in public. Being from jamaica, if these pics were me, I’d have been disowned right away, and rightly so.
