Sulfate free shampoo,deep condition, oil treatments, and trims do wonders if they are done on a regular basis. I wash and deep condition my hair every week and sometimes deep condition twice a week during the hot summer months. It isn’t rocket science. I guess I’m in the minority, but I like the jumper (but not the color) and the shoes together. It’s hobo meets glam chic. Now, her hair is over, but she get’s a pass on account of her touring. We’ve all seen how Bey slings her hair and sweats it out (yes, I know that’s a wig, but it’s a REAL HAIR wig and therefore can get sweat out, also).
As for Jay’s interview, hilarious! That’s why I’m a stan; his personality and charm is ridiculous (that and the fact that he’s HELLA SEXY to me despite what anyone says). And, anybody who’s a fan knows he’s very superstitious and won’t cut his hair while recording an album because of it. That has nothing to do with his being newly married. Oftentimes, he looks like he doesn’t give a damn until he’s with Bey. That just goes to show that he only cares what his wife thinks of him–which is the only woman he should worry about anyways.

I live in a South FL suburb with a good mix of black, white, and latino women. I know more WHITE women who wear weave on a regular than black women. I wear weave I would say nine months out of the year because I prefer not to deal with my own hair. If that makes me a weave crack whore I am okay with that. Do black women need to lay low on the weave, maybe I guess. Weave is so deeply rooted within our own culture I don’t think we will ever stop wearing it. I’m not bald headed, but however, I have done some damage to my hair by not looking after the my hair under the weave. I love in texas, and yes weave is big here, especially amongst black women. We have a weave super store(yes we do) and it’s off the WALL! I spend between 200-350 on a decent weave and 200 to 275 to get it sewn in. If I’m feeling cheap I do a quick weave with some 40 dollar hair. I do believe that black women should start letting their hair down a little, but we still shouldn’t go into world war 3 over some human hair extensions. Currently I have on a lacefront, and I LOVE IT! my hair is braided underneath it and is growing very well may I add. Next month I’m going to wear some kinky twist. I think Weave crack,southern queen dee,and Mamma Mia-I am learning the EGO dance routine made great points. We should be able to work towards less human hair dependency, but still get our weave on every so often.
