Love the clothing choices in Amerie’s video..I adore that fluffy vest thing with the shorts..and that layered or tiered dress…Good job on the stylists part. The song is okay..nothing special IMO…Best of luck to Amerie though..I’ve always loved her songs.

Amerie’s song is better than the video. Yeah yeah yeah she has the good fashions(which anybody can have). But to me she just always carries this mediocre line that she can’t cross. In the business you just can’t be pretty. You have to have fire and you have to bring the fire. In the video she didn’t bring the fire. Her clothes were nice but she had no fire in her eyes or anything. She’s missing that real star factor. When you make a “comeback”, you need to do more than just wear nice clothes and hopping and two steppping in one spot. She will continue to be mediocre. she gets no props from me.

Thank you!!!!!! With the exception of Beyonce(the bitch is sasha fierce) Ciara, Ashanti, Amerie and the rest aren’t relevant enough to name are sooooo mediocre. I mean don’t get me wrong I do like some of the songs but if I wanted to spend money on a bomb ass producer and writer than I too would have a good song. But those chicks have no substance for the music industry. They just wanted to be famous.

Contrary to what most people are saying, I aactually think Amerie puts out good music! He voice range isnt much but that isnt what makes you a great singer! She has a nice voice! Not a strong voice but nice. Just about every song she comes out with I have liked although I have never purchased an album of hers. I dont think she is whats wrong with music when you have people like Rhianna, Souljah Boy, and others who cant do anything and yet are selling records! Amerie can sing despite her laws of low vocal range. She isnt known strictly for fashion or who she collabs with. I like this song and like the video. All her videos are good and she always puts out feel good music, from her first joint “why dont we fall in love” to that song “one thing”. Do your thing Amerie!!

The Qweenie is probably a “rich bish” on the DL.
The Amerie song and vid are cute, but forgettable. At this point Amerie needs to come hard or go home. There is very little middle ground for R&B artists at this point.

@Ok Kanye- I agree with you about Amerie. I really like her as an artist. I bought 2 of her albums. But I have to disagree with you by putting Rhianna and Soulja Boy in the same category. Rhianna does not put out trash. Listen to her lyrics. And the chic has serious swagger(sorry for using this word I know its quite annoying now). Soulja Boy just makes party music and that’s it. No one is saying he is the greatest rapper. And for his age he knows how to make money so I ain’t mad at that. As far as his image that’s another tragic story.

Her music makes you smile whether you like her or not! Thats the thing! You dont have to agree with it. However if I had to pick I ould rather listen to Amerie anyday over Rhianna! All the singles she has come out with have the same feel to them… like a summer feel. I’m not saying she is the best singer in the game or the best artist, but I respect her for what she does and what she brings to the table.
