Jackson Family Ties
In a rare decision by TIME, they are putting out a rushed mid-week special edition hitting stands Monday. It will showcase the life and legacy of Michael Jackson and will pay special tribute. The last time a mid week edition was done was after 9/11.
Michael Jackson’s 3 children have reportedly made it known that they want to live with their grandparents–particularly Katherine Jackson. The Jackson family is adamant about keeping the children in their family as the children have no relationship with mother Debbie Rowe. But since Debbie is indeed their natural mother, a custody battle is possible.
Michael’s body has been legally returned to the family’s possession and they are spending today planning his funeral arrangements. Reportedly they are having a second autopsy conducted now as well.
Michael’s doctor Dr. Conrad Murray (above) from Vegas is being questioned by authorities as to what happened in Michael’s final moments as Dr. Murray was the only witness present. The 50-date London concert promoters AEG reportedly put Murray on the payroll to be with Michael throughout the tour. Murray had been treating Michael for the last 3 years and Michael told the promoters that “he trusted this man.”
Tyler Perry spoke on the radio yesterday morning about halting production on “Why Did I Get Married? 2″ once they learned of Michael’s death. Janet hurriedly left the Atlanta set to travel to L.A. to be with her family. Heartbreaking.

Exactly. I agree with you. She said in an interview, years ago, herself that she didn’t want to raise the children. I quote her saying something similiar to “those are Michael’s children”.
His kids should be with their grandmother and the rest of his family! They will love them dearly. They will hear so many great stories of their father with his family! I can imagine it will be GREAT for them. =]

Michael Jackson was an angel that God himself sent down to walk and live amongst us. Just at Jesus was crucified, Michael was done the same way. Michael was here to put wonderful songs in our heart, and to help change the world. Just as Michael said in his song “Cry”, he can’t change the world by himself. God simply ended ended Michael’s suffering that his own people inflicted upon him. He is in a better place, and I am celebrating the legacy of Michael Joseph Jackson. I am praying for MJ’s children, parents, siblings, extended family, and his fans. We will all get through this together. Michael’s job here was completed. He has gone home to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. God bless you all.

First of all, they’re not keeping her away from the two kids she SOLD. She gave up her parental rights years ago. Her & Michael had a legal agreement, so she wanted money more than she wanted rights to the children. The courts are going to look at who is more capable of taking care of the children & lookin’ out for their welfare. The children she had for him do not know her, that would be like sending them to live with a stranger, literally.
They would be much better off with his (mother) family, & I wouldn’t be surpised if he stated that in his will.
If she wanted anything to do with them, how come she was never photographed anywhere with them? After she had them, you never heard about her again until the molestation trial. And it was said that she earned “some” of her rights back, but that was only temporary. Either way, the children are going to back taken care of no matter what. An attorney said earlier they are currently with the nanny, which was probably like a mother figure to all of them besides Mike’s mom.

I agree with you with all of my heart. Michael Jackson was an angel. Someone that not everyone understood. People had questioned him and did not want to just accept him as the way he was in these past years. It was noone’s business. He was questioned because he had a free spirit and was so loving. I saw that, never questioned him but I did question the hearts of all the individuals that had everything but nice things to say about our king Michael Jackson.
God bless those hateful, hurting souls and please allow for those ones to accept what only he’s evidentally left behind. He left us his I incomparable talent, his passion, his love for us and much more but not anything less.

If you believe the past rumors, Michael’s will states he wants the children to live with the nanny, who has been in his employ for 20 years. She first started out as an assistant and later became almost a full-time caretaker to the children. I don’t believe the grandmother is in good health to raise these three children and I don’t think Michael wants the children being raised by Joseph considering his abuse of Michael and really can anyone blame him. The abuse cited by Michael in his book was far worse than he detailed. This is not someone who should be around young children. I can’t stand child abusers. I don’t care how famous they are or their children. Joseph is a disgusting human being and I don’t have much love for Katharine as she watched this man beat on these children, especially Michael and did nothing.

yeah i hate, joseph and katharine. i know what it feels like with parents like that, i lived it myself. thats why i always hated michael parents for putting him trough this. i hope the feel awful for what they did to him. thank god i was stronger then michael, but sometimes i do feel sad, because i alway feel different then the rest. but thank god i have good people around me.

Katherine Should take the kids, I think the three kids should stay in the family since all they know is Michael and the family, if the mother fights for custody NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN it would BAD for her but then again white media would spin it as the poor mother fighting for her kids…rolling my eyes. And for the people questioning Joe and Katherine as parents if it wasn’t for them none of them would be here and we wouldn’t known the talent and legency of MJ, Janet and the rest of his bros and sisters, yes they made mistakes and could had done a lot of things differently but parents aren’t perfect and after all that was said and done, the Jackson was still a strong and tight family in the end.

Hi M,
I have cousins who went through the same thing. Mother ignored the abuse they suffered at the hands of their father. I’m talking brutal beatings and verbal humiliation. 2 came out of it alright and the third is very very troubled. None of them have any children and 1 made it very clear he would not have children because he feared he would hurt them like his father hurt him. Ugh.
Michael was a tortured soul and I really wish he had gotten a good childhood even if it meant that we couldn’t have the King of Pop.

ITA! I don’t like Joe and Katherine at all. Something must be up with your parenting practices when ALL of your children grow up to have some sort of self esteem issues, and drastically change their appearances with plastic surgery. It’s bad enough being a kid in the industry but if your home life is also screwed up unfortunately you’ll be too. I LOVED Michael Jackson and I always felt sorry for him because he could never have any real friends because of his militant upbringing. It just pisses me off that he never got his redemption. Birthing children doesn’t make you a mother. And no one kept Debbie Rowe away from her kids. SHE DECIDED SHE DIDN’T WANNA RAISE THEM. She didn’t want them. If you believe what u’ve been reading, and i personally do…that she’s had no contact with the kids and they don’t know who she is, y should she have any more right to those kids than anybody else. She’s practically a stranger….there almost as good going to somer foster home. I’m not a mother, and i just don’t understand how someone can just give up their kids,….just no want them….she has the means and the resources to raise those kids. The court needs to do whats in the best interest of those kids. If this nanny is like a mother figure to them,….then take the nanny, and she could go live w/ katherine….or whatever. They have been blasting that over the news but come on……….we knew that they were never produced by his sperm although he claims that. In an interview that they have been playing on MSNBC all day, Michael said that the youngest child is all blk and that the surrogate mother was a light skinned woman. Again, leaglly and spiritually, those 3 kids are his and more than likely Katherine will get custody b/c they said she was with them most and helped Michael raise them. Joe is out of the picture.

I would love for the grandparents to get the kids but they are getting a little old to be running around after young children (although for the last 6 months they were staying with Katherine & Michael)…And about Joe I don’t agree with the abuse he put his kids through but in several recent interviews he has acknowledged himself that he made mistakes and Michael has said many times in documentaries (Bashirs/Home Vids with MJ) that he forgives his father & that they are in regular contact! If they can get past their hard family issues then we should let Joe live too! And any pic of MJ and Janet makes me smile…RIP to the legend!
