Michael Jackson Updates
Funeral plans for Michael Jackson have finally been set. The memorial service for Michael will take place at the Staples Center on Tuesday at 10:00 AM. 11,000 tickets will be distributed free of charge to the general public. Some reports also say that a carnival-like procession will happen after the services as Michael body is transported elsewhere for the family’s private funeral services.
In other news, Mike’s ex-wife Debbie Rowe has stated through her awyer that she will indeed petition for custody of her and Michael’s children. She dd an interview with L.A.’s local NBC network yesterday and said she was willing to submit to any testing, including DNA, to prove she was the biological mother of Prince Michael, 12, and Paris, 11. Rowe also said she was concerned about splitting up the three children, and would be willing to accept custody of Prince Michael II, Jackson’s youngest child. Michael’s mother, Katherine, has been granted custody as Michael expressly willed his kids to her.

We have definitely lost a true talent. It is a shame that as a residual effect of Michael’s death, there will be more turmoil and sadness for his family and his children. Michael made it a point and went through great lengths to have his children shielded from the spotlight, and they will now be not only in the spotlight, but will thrown into it.

Let me just say that this is some bullsh*t!!! I dont know any judge that would be willing to split up siblings to go with the biological parent, which the children DO NOT KNOW!!!!! Debbie Rowe is a money hungry b*tch! She gave up full custody and parental rights of her “children” so that she could get paid! She had nothing to do with those kids for all their life!! I think that Debbie Rowe is wrong for doing this. Yes, she may be their mother, but she signed off all rights when they were 1st born and got 8.5 million for doing so. She has never had a relationship with the kids so why now? Is it that she will be rewarded a nice chunk of change in child support from Michael’s estate? I mean, the eldest child is 12 & now when the amount of Michael’s catalogue & The portion of the Beatles catalogue has come out? Sad. If she is indeed the biological mother of the first two kids, she is 99% likely to get custody of all 3. Courts are very, very, very reluctant not to give custody to a biological parent who has not been shown to be unfit, ie severe abuse. What Michael said in his will won’t matter. I wonder if she is just doing this to get the Jacksons to pay her off. I don’t see why she would want the children. It’s a shame. Those kids are going to grow up just like Michael did - feeling like all they represent is a paycheck for other people. Hopefully they will get over it and move on to have happy lives, but that would be a lot because Michael was never able to move past his childhood.

The judge will weigh the options to see who is most fit to become the legal guardians of the children. I think this is just a strategic move by Debbie to squeeze out some more money from Michael Jackson even though he’s dead. She knows that it is now or never. She was acting all nice last week cuz she thought she woulda got broke off in the will, now that she heard MJ told her to kick rocks bytch, now she wanna petition for custody.

Also did anyone watch the special on MSNBC Joe Jackson will pay for what he did those children, beating them before they went on stage with extension cords and telling Michael he was ugly and that his nose was awful. Just my scenario of the court proceedings:
Katherine Jackson: famed matriarch of the Jackson family that includes a slew of sons, daughters, grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Ms. Jackson has a proven track record of being a supportive mother of the chart-topping family who one of the members of the family has sold more records than any other artist in the world. Ms. Jackson has been a key figure of Michael’s children since birth and the kids have specifically mentioned that they would like to remain with her. Ms. Jackson will continue to employ the long-time nanny that has been with the children for as long as they remember and it was Michaels personal wishes that his children go to his beloved mother.
Debbie Rowe: physician assistant of Michaels dermatologist who gifted Michael with his two oldest children for a disclosed sum of money. Ms. Rowe has stated publically that “…those are Michaels kids…” Ms. Rowe’s support system is questionable as well as her track record of being being a supportive and active mother.

This situation is crazy .
Despite the fact that Katherine deserves custody of her grandchildren, according to the will, the kids are 11, 12 and 7 - and the court will most DEF. ask them what THEY want or who THEY want to live with.
No offence, but I doubt that they would ask to live with Debbie because she hasn’t been their for them (that point has been proven) and Katherine has been the support system for those children .
Hopefully those kids will have an input by the court on where they want to live or who would be the “ideal guardian” for them .

Debbie won’t get them….if they have to prove she’s unfit…duhhhh…look at her past record with them…if that isn’t unfit…tell me what is…..what mother “gives” their children away. That’s what she did because she didn’t have an active part in their lives. Kids live and are raised by their single fathers everyday but most mothers don’t choose to stay away 100%. There were no disabilities to hinder her mentally or physcially from being apart of those kids lives and trust. One thing you can’t deny about the Jacksons is that they stick together regardless of whatever internal issues they have going on. And we must not forget…they are rich and have the ability to fight this for a very long time. If they do settle, I hope the settlement includes her officially and finally signing over her parental rights so that if Katherine passes she won’t be allowed to haul whomever back in court if the kids haven’t reached the age of 18 fishing for more funds. In the end….she will be punished for her sins as us all. God bless MJ, his family, and definitely his kids.

@ WhatGOINGOn, I feel everything that you are saying. We as African Americans should reclaim our culture and our original identities. I look at dismay at how our children are turning out to be. It saddens me to see little black boys and girls walking around without any knowledge but what they hear on tv or through music and the videos. Books and knowledge do not even matter to them. THen I look at the parents and I see why.Michaels death should teach us that ANY talent that is bestowed on us is from GOD and GOD only. The white race will not accept you no matter what you do or say. That is a hard pill to swallow. I find that any person ( no matter what color) that is worth their salt in life always respects and rewards hard work and preperation, point blank. I teach my children that “Opportunity favors the prepared mind.” I feel that there is a huge movement coming in our race that will be magnificent. I really don’t want Debbie to take the kids. She was well paid by Michael for her vessel body. I think he paid her something like 20 mill and purchased a house for her and her dogs. Last week she said she didn’t want custody…this week she does. Those kids don’t know her…she hasn’t been apart of their lives. I smell golddigger.

M.J. and Debbie Rowe are legal parent of the kids. I think M.J. wanted to raise the kids himself, and that’s why Debbie was not in their lives for a long time. She has every right to want custody of the kids, and I think she does not mind Katherine Jackson taking care of them, but wants a restraining order on Joe Jackson. Katherine Jackson is 79 yrs old, and I don’t want them to go through another tragedy if anything bad happens.
I expected one of M.J siblings to step up, he has eight other siblings right, ok, I know Janet or Latoya or Jermaine is out of the picture, but what about Rebbie(the oldest), Tito or Randy, i think they should step up. I know it looks like M.J. would have prefered Diana Ross, because he did not mention any of his siblings, but it would be nice if they can take care their brother’s kids.

Yeah, in the real world, but I think MJ loved those kids and carefully planned out who would care for his kids,, Diana Ross is pretty old herself, but every book or article that I’ve ever read, talks about her passion for her own children.. She seems to be a great mother, as her kids adore her. I mean, I have a child, and I would want the BEST person to step up, not just because we’re family, but because we share the same interest and love regarding our kids. I think everyone should respect the man’s wishes, especially when it concerns the people her loved most.. it all seems really sick and shameful.

At the kids’ age, the Court will probably ask them who they want to live with. I can’t imagine that they would want to live with a woman who they don’t know.
