Folks have been reporting for a couple years now that Jermaine Dupri and Janet Jackson were secretly married, broken up, publicity stunting on us, etc. But now the breakup rumor seems a bit more real than usual. US Weekly’s reporting:
“His friends are telling people it’s over…They have been moving in different directions for a while…She’s devastated. She’s busy caring for Michael’s kids. Janet’s the family’s backbone.”
We’ve been waiting on J.D. to confirm/deny via Twitter like he usually does, but he hasn’t even addressed it. Apparently Janet’s been saying to her people around her that she should have never changed their business relationship into one of pleasure. But what’s done is done. A breakup and a close family death all at one time is some tough ish to handle. And we actually started to like them together….

I might be speculating… ok I am but, I want to say maybe she needs time with herself and her family for a minute. The Jackson family just suffered a tragic and sudden death and Im sure only about 3 weeks out, they arent over it. I like them together because she looks happy with him and every person deserves happiness. If it is true tho… damn JD, you got her face tatted on your f*ckin body!!! SMH

I don’t believe they’re done. This has been said too many times, for too many years now. The last time it was said, a few months ago, Jermaine said on Global 14 he and Janet had gone to some artist’s show after their reported breakup.
This time, he mentions her name on the latest ‘Living the Life’ that was just uploaded yesterday. A person who just ended a relationship of 7 years is not usually able to just mention the ex’s name so freely, with no emotion, in casual conversation.
Also, US Magazine has quoted “friends” as saying “They have been moving in different directions for a while now”. If this is true, then why get that huge ass tat just a month earlier?

Don’t know if it is true or not, but if they did reach a point in there relationship where it is better to be apart and remain friends than be together then good for them, at least they didn’t stay together, get married and divorced 3 months later like other celebs. Personally, I think Janet is a bit to mature for JD and needs some time to herself to deal with her grief, help with the children and focus on herself. Was JD even at MJ’s funeral?

On JD’s twitter on the night of the BET Awards he said something like “run to your t.v. and see my baby.” He could still feel like, “No matter what she’s always my baby.” The only somewhat convincing evidence that they are not together is that no one claims to have seen Jermaine at the memorial service, yet he was spotted in L.A. the same day.

Just hoping and praying for the best for Janet. She does seem like a really strong woman but we all have our limits. Losing a brother, and a long term relationship at the same time has to be traumatic for her. Aww man I hope this isn’t true. JD treated Janet so nicely and even made seem more down to earth. I think the biggest problem for them is JD is an extrovert and Janet is extremely introverted that really put a strain on the relationship. I read an article where she says she’s not religious, but very spiritual. Those are two very different things. Right. A friend of mine got a tattoo of his fiancee’s name on his ring finger…a few months later, she cheated and they were done. I know at least 5 people who have done it and for some reason or another it didn’t work…just seems like a jinx to me. I have no idea if these two are together. I have read some comments that are straight up incorrect or twisted.
1. Janet is not a Jehovah’s Witness. The only members in the Jackson family that are still Jehovah’s Witnesses are Katherine and Rebbie. Janet said she WAS NOT a Jehovah’s Witness on CNN a while back.
2. Janet was seen with JD getting fast food. That doesnt mean they were still together then but it is odd if they werent. Also,they could have broken up in between that time and today.We dont know that though.
3. This rumor is getting tiring. Janet said in an interview that she didnt like discussing her secret marriage and decided to keep it a secret because people like to make up things and eventually it takes a toll on the couple. If they are married…now,I see why they wont say anything. Itll be 100000 times worse!
