Michael Vick was running a criminal enterprise. The govt couldn’t get him on Rico violations so they settled for the lesser charge of dog fighting. He came out lucky and it was not race that motivated it or love for dogs. It was money. The govt was not getting their cut of the illegal money that Vick was making. A clear case of screwing the govt out of their dough.
As for his reinstatement, he clearly violated the terms of his contract. Should he play? Yes, he should but he must understand there are rules that you must follow and if you break those rules there are consequences to those actions.
Legally, he doesn’t have a leg to stand on. It is all up to the NFL to ignore the contract requirement that he clearly violated or punish him for it. Race may play a part in them choosing to ignore the rules but it has nothing to do with his punishment.
And finally as a prosecutor, I don’t give two shits about a spoiled, bratty football player who broke the law trying to play ball again. Cry me a freaking river. Try working 20 hrs a day on a govt employee salary being hated by all of society until someone in their family is murdered. Then all of a sudden you are their new best friends. When that happens, I may find some sympathy.

Black people dont love their animals? I dont get that about white folks loving on their dogs, it just means caring about something you took responsibility for, loving it, feeding it, not harming/abusing it, and not letting it fight and treat it like a piece of shit and as if its disposible.
