Here’s the Jay-Z BluePrint 3 album cover posted up on the Jay-Z site right now. Didn’t say anything about it being the final official one but I guess we’ll find out soon. Interesting.
And if you thought you’d seen all the Youtubery you could stand from Soulja Boy…there’s more:
He did a Youtube video featuring his brand new remote control Lambo chain to match his real life one and his other black diamonds. Yes, really. It’s decked out in black diamonds too. Eminem and bloggers have completely dissed him today. Eminem harshly told him to to do the superman and f****** die already. And Soulja posted this response on his site when people started popping off about it:
1ST OF ALL. I didn’t pay ANYTHING for my black Lamborghini chain I got it FREE as a birthday present from my jeweler when I turned 19 on July 28!
2ND OF ALL. Even if I did pay for it who are you to judge me on what I purchase with MY money?
3RD OF ALL. Why do the media blow up the things that they think will make me look stupid or ignorant. Why not publicize or put me in the spotlight when I do positive things? What about when I was in the hood this past Christmas passing out toys to everybody on the westside of Atlanta where I grew up why not show that on TV? Why not publicize my Little league football team that I sponsor in Batesville, MS or the money I donated to help build the rec center and boyz and girls club!? What about when I donated $25,000 for all those kids to have a good Christmas with the Toyz n da hood foundation? Why not step in when Ice-T was dissing me why not call up and have a sit down to squash that beef. THINK ABOUT IT A 40 YEAR OLD SOMETHING GANGSTA NIGGA VS. A 16 YEAR OLD KID (AT THE TIME). What if he really did have O.G. crip niggaz that had a price on my head to murder me? WHY DIDN’T YOU TRY TO STEP IN AND STOP THAT? HUH?. you worried about a black diamond chain that I received as birthday present??? WTF What about when me and Tigger was in D.C. buying all those can foods for the homeless??? Why not publicize when them niggaz ran in my house and tried to kill me and I had to defend myself and blast they ass. WHY NOT SHOW THAT ON TV???? HUH!???? CUZ U DONT WANT PEOPLE TO SEE THE REAL SHIT THATS GOIN BEHIND THE SCENES U WANT EVERYTHING WATERED DOWNED AND FAKE THATS WHY! FUCK THAT! I’m all the way REAL 100. I know America probably ain’t ready for a young black rich nigga running around doing it how he had it planned since he was little. But i’m from the hood! This is all I know! All I grew up seeing was diamondz, money, drugs, fightin, shootin, dancing, basketball and football. real nigga shit that’s all I was around while I grew up! I don’t know shit else! I got signed when I was 16 and it took me away from that environment and put me on a whole other level that blew my mind. I’ve traveled all across the world and seen some AMAZING MIND BLOWING THINGS. But I can’t run from my past I can’t act like i’m something i’m not! I only can be what I know and be who I am WHICH IS ME. A young nigga who was born in Southside Chicago moved to ATL and went to high school in Mississippi. NEVER stayed in a good neighborhood my whole life until after I got signed! BUT IT IS WHAT IS IT IS. IM REAL AS IT GET AND ALOT OF PEOPLE LOVE ME FOR THAT. AND LOT OF PEOPLE HATE ME FOR THAT. I’m just being ME that’s all I can be! im out 100 ROLE MODEL OR NO ROLE MODEL IM ONLY HUMAN.
Funny funny…

1st!
good for him..souljah boy that is. people need 2 leave him alone
Mon, August 3, 2009 5:57 PM
Soulja boy f all these people talking about. you do you like you said. FUCK EM, he aint nothing but a punkass excuse for a grown man. The womanizer is now on watch for child abuse. I say they hatin on you. DO you dog, those of us in Mississippi are proud that you are staying yourself. Just learn something alone the way. you can be that way forever. Keep yo head up dude. Also, STOP BLASTIN SHIT ON LINE!!!! That could be the reason all that happen with the breakin in the first place. Not everyone in the world is going to like you remember that.
Mon, August 3, 2009 5:57 PM
So excited about this album!
I adore the cover!
Mon, August 3, 2009 6:02 PM
He made a point…media is the beast. But regardless of where you come from you can always change to become a better person. I did.
Mon, August 3, 2009 6:02 PM
wow. i do think abt soldja boy a little differently now. media is a funny thing. he needs to blast those positive things himself since no one else will
Mon, August 3, 2009 6:03 PM
I love me some JayZ!! :D
Mon, August 3, 2009 6:03 PM
Soulja Boy just shut EVERYBODY DOWN! lol
Mon, August 3, 2009 6:06 PM
Jay Z why waste your time just retire dog..Nobody checkin 4 u anymore….
Mon, August 3, 2009 6:07 PM
I love the album cover- complicated and mysterious.. like me! (virgo)
I’m not sure if I love jayz because of his swagger or because he has a big dick.. idk
Mon, August 3, 2009 6:08 PM
Why don’t people leave Souljah boy alone? He’s a young affluent African-American male making money doing something he loves in a creative fashion. He’s not hurting anyone. And he gives back. Also Eminem needs to fall back, for real. First he’s beefing with Mariah now he’s trying to slam Souljah boy? I wish someone would put his misogynistic a** in time out already, geez. He needs to focus that energy on making an album the public will actually embrace and go out and buy.
Mon, August 3, 2009 6:08 PM
It look like a kayne’s cover.check that paper Mr Carter !
souljaboy-no comment-
Mon, August 3, 2009 6:09 PM
Thats a lie
Mon, August 3, 2009 6:09 PM
souljaboy is the example of people with too much money and not enough sense.
Mon, August 3, 2009 6:10 PM
Jay’s album is COLD.
….Soulja BOY never respond to ignorance. Realize, people DON’T have a need to DEFEND themselves towards a LIE. So when you DO address a obvious (or as you think) LIE, it only makes people/media feel like they’re rufflin yo ass quicker than a stripper is running up and down a poll. Like “LOL” said, stop blastin ALL of your damn business on that kiss ass Twitter! But if you must , say something of meaning. But don’t complain.
Mon, August 3, 2009 6:10 PM
Soulja Boy is an embarrassment to the whole Afro American race.
Mon, August 3, 2009 6:10 PM
Wow. All I can say is you do sound/act your age. Ps didn’t mean that as a compliment. Just straight ignorant!
Mon, August 3, 2009 6:11 PM
can’t wait for blueprint 3. soulja boy, soulja boy.. smh..
Mon, August 3, 2009 6:11 PM
jay z’s album cover looks interesting…. let’s just hope that the material is too!
Mon, August 3, 2009 6:11 PM
OH HELL TO THE NAW TO ALL OF THE ABOVE.
Blueprint 3 will be a compilation of whackness. Soulja Boy needs to enrol in clown college cos his wack azz is killin me with this foolery.
GTFOH.
Mon, August 3, 2009 6:11 PM
Confused- who is doing anything to soilder boy- WTF is that all about- peranoid- Anyway
Jay z is HOTTTTTTTTTTTTT- loves that man
Mon, August 3, 2009 6:12 PM
lol
Mon, August 3, 2009 6:13 PM
thats why he got robbed
Mon, August 3, 2009 6:15 PM
i hav 2 agree wid soulja boy on this 1 i dnt understand y big jackass ppl r runin him dwn he is jus a child.. yh his music isnt al that gr8 but so wot!!!.. ppl like ice T and Feminem shud b ashamed off themself.. bunch of haters kmt!!
Mon, August 3, 2009 6:16 PM
Soulja boy need to stop it and chill, if he wasnt putting his business out there for people to see then no one would be commenting, just another thirsty ass n*gg*
Mon, August 3, 2009 6:17 PM
O how we love the haters… keep hatin!- you do a great job of it~
Mon, August 3, 2009 6:17 PM
Soulja Boy speaks the truth.
It’s easier to gang up on a young, naive, wide-eyed, raised-in-the-hood black boy than the white CEO millionaires who use their POWER to exploit the poor and the powerless for their own gain. Something that happens everyday.
Mon, August 3, 2009 6:20 PM
Soulja Boy who? Nobody would notice your ass if you stop posting ish on YouTube. That whole rant sounded like a weak ass lil boy tryna justify his actions. I dont see YOU posting your good works but you sure as hell dont mind YouTubing your flodging. So dont get mad if all we see is the BS that you flash before us. If you such a hood “graduate” show us that instead of all this foolery.
Mon, August 3, 2009 6:21 PM
My thing is why not go out with the jewelry and then be photographed in rather than making a video and flaunting it. It makes him look ignorant. He needs to understand the media and blog whores feed into this sort of nonsense. I applaud him for his good deeds and that is something he should be publicizing not this foolywang. Fine you got black diamonds as a bday gift, good for you. Next time let the paparazzi snap it and put it on the front cover of a mag.
Mon, August 3, 2009 6:21 PM
Ok, I gotta say this because YBF is always posting negative things about Eminem. First of all, the track “Die Already” thats dissing Soulja Boy is not even Eminem, it’s someone imitating him, so he didn’t even say that(check his twitter). As an Eminem fan, even on “Y.B.F.” I think yall should do some research before u just post things like that. Just giving people more reason to say somethin’ about him.
Mon, August 3, 2009 6:21 PM
Im in LOVE with Jays new cover. He seems very sophisticated and that speaks for him.
Mon, August 3, 2009 6:21 PM
@ Kris
No, he’s not at all an embarrassment to me, a fellow “Afro American”. He’s telling HIS truth; which may be the case for many of the hip hop artists and singers of his time, Afro Americans and other ethnicities alike. He is an example of many of our youth who have newlyfound fame and more money than they’ve ever seen in their short lifetime. If he never changes, so be it, as this is why we are all individuals.
Mon, August 3, 2009 6:23 PM
MAN, JAY-Z RETIRE YOU BAPHOMET WORSHIPER!!!
Mon, August 3, 2009 6:27 PM
mane i agree wit lil soulja on dis one we dnt no every move so called famous people do with their bread we jus c wat gets brought out to us..so who r they 2 knck his shit even tho he said it was a gift..i sn the video on worldstarhiphop n the 1st thing that came 2 mind was wat if he doin this jus 2 c who got sumthn 2 say..SHIT i aint gon lie i wld do all typ of dumb sht fa the poparazzi 2 criticze cuz thats there MEDICINE..giv it 2 em.lies n all..the furthest frm da truth the better
Mon, August 3, 2009 6:28 PM
I feel you on this 100 percent. He and any other celeb bring all that negative stuff upon themselves. They sign up for the fame and they know it comes with the good and bad. SOulja Boy wants all the attention, with the stuff he puts on twitter, his website, youtube and all those other things and when people got negative comments on it he gets butt hurt. Sorry BooBoo you want the attention you will get the good and bad kind.
Mon, August 3, 2009 6:30 PM
Can’t wait for Jay’s album to come out.
They need to leave Soulja Boy alone. Why are people like Eminem & Ice T making comments on what he do any way? They’re too old for that.
Mon, August 3, 2009 6:31 PM
Jay-z cover pure classic. He’s a genius.
Soulja Boy= no comment.
Mon, August 3, 2009 6:35 PM
Can’t wait for Jay’s new album. I love that man.
Soulja boy..your music is wack and so are you. go sit in your lambo and rotate. I can’t wait till no one plays your music anymore. and if you understand why you act the way you do then you no longer have an excuse to continue acting that way.
Mon, August 3, 2009 6:37 PM
LOL! It could be both. No shame in that.
Mon, August 3, 2009 6:41 PM
Wise up Soulja Boy. Dont let your age or your upbringing be your excuse for pure ignorant. Wise Up!
Mon, August 3, 2009 6:44 PM
Can’t wait for Jay’s album!
Soulja boy needs to blame his management and PR team if his positive things aren’t seeing the light of day! It’s their job to pitch to the media and get placement!! And since he’s the king of youtube…how about you youtube yourself doing these acts of charity instead of doing donuts in a parking lot?!
Mon, August 3, 2009 6:45 PM
blueprint 3 cover is so creative sometimes it takes just that
Mon, August 3, 2009 6:46 PM
he just got his reward…it was better for him to keep it in private..
Mon, August 3, 2009 6:48 PM
I used to love M but he is corny now. This same dude got his fame and millions but disrespecting his WIFE and MOTHER…things that his daughter and niece can now read and understand
Anyway, I’m in the older club and say instead of blasting Soulja Boy, why don’t someone like Puff, Jay or Ye take him under their wing and show him how to invest, re-invest and actually education him PRIVATELY. We all do dumb shit when we are young. Also, why don’t we see the positive side of mcs and rappers in the media, huh?
Soulja Boy, good luck, keep up the good work and I pray that you have a responsible team that shows you how to make your money last for lifetimes to come.
Love & Peace!!
Mon, August 3, 2009 6:53 PM
why dont he tape his own community efforts and post them on youtube like he did this bafoonery! i applaud him for giving back but this stuff is just stupid if its him, Bow Wow or anybody else that thinks its cool to buy or have over teh top items and brag about it, you got you got it. Be Blessed in it and dont be so extreme!
Mon, August 3, 2009 6:55 PM
Get out of Jays ass….I dont see you posting any “hater” comments regarding what people are saying about SB, so its okay to talk about other blacks as long as its not Jay and B?
Mon, August 3, 2009 6:57 PM
So true! Put those positive acts on youtube.
Mon, August 3, 2009 6:57 PM
some people say this will make people stop talking about soulja boy in a bad way but if they open they eyes including soulja boy they would realize that people will always pick out the bad things about people no matter if you rich, smart, dumb or what people make life a competition or a race to try to tear others down to make them be in last place {{that’s a no brainer like duh….}}
Mon, August 3, 2009 7:02 PM
That’s right preach!!!!
Mon, August 3, 2009 7:05 PM
Really that’s not funny…i’m with him all the way you know what you know….
Mon, August 3, 2009 7:08 PM
who cares about what he do with his money, i hate when motherfuckers try to tell other people how they should spend there money!!! Everything he has, he earned unlike some of these other rappers/celebs!!
Mon, August 3, 2009 7:12 PM
He’s a 19 year old kid! Leave him alone! Plenty of young people are doing just as silly or much sillier things just with a lot less money than he’s got. I think the remote control chain is hilarious!
Mon, August 3, 2009 7:12 PM
Soulja boy needs to sit his WACK A$$ down somewhere! If he didn’t promote his own bull ish we wouldn’t be commenting on his stupid A$$!!! Young or not, his ignorance is WAYYY outta hand, and someone who actually cares for him, needs to check his a$$ about it! I understand being from the hood and all, because that’s my story too, but have not, nor will I ever use that as an excuse too act a damn fool!!!
Mon, August 3, 2009 7:13 PM
he’s going to have to get used to it. hopefully he doesn’t do a lindsay lohan or britney spears on us cuz of all the bad media attention.
Mon, August 3, 2009 7:14 PM
For years and years and years Hip Hop has flaunted money, cars, and hoes….just in different ways….Soulja is just doing it HIS way…Kanye does it HIS way…Jay Z does it HIS way…Diddy does it HIS way, 50 does it HIS way. So none of them can really say shyt when most of them have been seen pouring out hundreds of dollars of champagne on the ground or having million dollar parties for what? MARKETING of themselves. I’m sure once Soulja put this up…hundreds went to listen to that song playing in the background. It’s entertainment for kids…that’s why parents should instill in their kids reality vs. non reality. My Dad use to come home with crazy azz shyt that my Mama got on his azz about and my Mama bought shoes and handbags she didn’t need herself. Anybody remember the episode of the Cosby show where Bill Cosby bought shyt that light up and his wife had to get at him? It’s because he’s a millionaire it’s on a larger scale. It’s also because he’s NINETEEN he’s flaunting it HIS way. So everybody that’s being hard on him…look in your own closet and take back that stupid shyt you bought. I myself have a “what the hell was I thinking”…..so I’ll be in line behind you…
Mon, August 3, 2009 7:15 PM
So true.
Mon, August 3, 2009 7:19 PM
He is. Souljah…. um 25 thou is nothing compared to what you are making and I know people who pass out toys and can food, so that is not saying much! How about you pretend to act like you are used to having things! That bragging ish is lame! And if you constantly have to defend yourself as such, you should know you are not doing something right! He need to come better than that and grow up! When is his manhood and common sense going to kick in! Immaturity at its worst!
Mon, August 3, 2009 7:20 PM
how you saying this man don’t have any sense? because he bought a chain? Imma tell you whats ignorant, you buying all that weave and perming that nappy ass shit on your head. How come that isn’t ignorant? why can’t you wear that nappy shit normal?
Mon, August 3, 2009 7:20 PM
Agree 100%…these people are so selective with which celebs that talk negative about! if you say anything about Jay or Bey they go crazy as if you have no right o talk about those two! But yet they disect and give negative opinions about other celebs…the Jay and Bey stans are such LOSERS and the biggest HATERS ever when it come to other celebs!!!!
Mon, August 3, 2009 7:25 PM
how the fuck you gon tell this man what to spend his money on, thats some ignorant shit right there. Do you tell white people something when they buy them expensive ass houses with 30 rooms and they ain’t got no children. Do you tell white people something when they have 20 cars and they only need one to drive, when they buy a damn jet airplane, or when they eat unfilling caviar thats costs thousands. Those whites are bragging but you ain’t got a fucking thing to say to them, shut yo ignorant ass up.
Mon, August 3, 2009 7:25 PM
The cover (if it is) is nice..different but nice..still not purchasing Mr. Jigga, lol
Soulja boy: Umm no. Don’t go on a rant because people are tired of the coonery that you display on a regular basis. First off, if you got as a gift fine, but really? If someone gets you something like that for your birthday that says a lot about you and your maturity level. Stay flaunting your shit but hey, you worked for it so i’m not gonna go in..just use your money wisely young man..invest in your future because as far as I can see, all you are doing is spending it on shit that doesn’t acquire any value. You claim you a grown ass man? Well grown ass men don’t put their sneakers in a jacuzzi with water in it jackass. LOL
Mon, August 3, 2009 7:30 PM
Poor soulja boy..always getting shitted on, but hey that’s how it goes. Stop being extra with your shit, that’s how ya ass get robbed. I thought you would have learned from that last incident in ATL. We know your rich, now humble yourself, and cut all that “rich nigga” episodes out. Grow up!
and Marshall need to sit his ass down..
I don’t give a damn bout no album cover, I just wanna hear the material. I just hope all this time it took, the album is a classic one.
Mon, August 3, 2009 7:31 PM
Soulja Boy F**K EM!!!!!…lol…It’s pretty sad and pathetic when “grown” men (Eminem, Ice-T) have so much to say about him…It just makes them come off old and bitter cuz their ish died out…Soulja did his thing and made millions cuz the PEOPLE LIKED IT!!!!…Im not a Soulja fan but I’d be lying if I told you I wasn’t doing that Soulja boy dance right along with him when it came out)…lol…If they want to cuss anyone cuss us..THE PUBLIC….We gave him that shine and made him a star and that makes these old guys made as hell…Can’t tell youngin’ how to spend HIS money…its HIS money!!!!…He’s a baby…He’s got time to wise up…How long does it take dudes to mature anyway??…ICE-T is damn near 60 and Eminem is middle-aged and there acting like jealous, childish, teenage girls sooo…ya : /
Mon, August 3, 2009 7:31 PM
i feel em on this one, soulja boy is the one posting this nonsense on the internet so expect to be criticized….save ya money dog.
Mon, August 3, 2009 7:35 PM
what an inarticulate coon souljah boy is! my goodness, did he get a GED?! are students no longer required to take grammar classes. I think he should take eminem’s suggestions into serious consideration and stop setting the entire race back everytime he steps outside
Mon, August 3, 2009 7:36 PM
EMINEM IS SO OUT OF POCKET ITS NOT EVEN FUNNY HE NEEDS TO JUST SHUT UP HE’S COMPLETELY WHACK TO ME NOW AT FIRST I LET THE MARIAH THING SLIDE NOW SOULJA BOY A 19 YEAR OLD? HOW IMMATURE
Mon, August 3, 2009 7:41 PM
i agree with soulja boy. em has been gone so long that i guess he figured he needs a way to come back.
first he had bruno’s balls and ass in his face
second he wants to have beef with mariah carey and nick cannon (wth)
third he comes at soulja boy.
em why don’t you go back to those pills you were popping they seem lonely.
Mon, August 3, 2009 7:41 PM
Just like going to church on Sunday doesn’t erase or excuse Monday-Saturday niggatry, the good things he’s done doesn’t excuse the tomfoolery that is that chain. Okay it was a gift, but why put it out there like that? Like another commentor said, that’s why he got robbed in the first place.
Mon, August 3, 2009 7:46 PM
Just like going to church on Sunday doesn’t excuse the niggatry people get into Monday-Saturday, none of Soulja Boy’s contributions make that chain any less negroidian. I understand the point he’s trying to make, but it’s like a killer saying ‘Yeah I murdered 5 people, but where were y’all when I was voting for a new PTA president and painting the houses of senior citizens?” One has nothing to do with the other SB.
Mon, August 3, 2009 7:54 PM
I like Jay-Z’s reported album cover. Hopefully this cd will be good because I haven’t liked anything he released since the Black Album.
This young kid (SB) is upset because of all of the heat he is receiving for his “gift”. Meanwhile, the jeweler is getting a lot of free advertisement. Inquiries will be made, sales will go up.
Mon, August 3, 2009 7:55 PM
I think what we are saying is that all that damn advertising is uncalled for! If I saw a white, hispanic, or whatever person posting ish on youtube and what not, I would find that quite ignorant as well! Real talk, it’s STUPID to publicize all your wealth in that way. It makes him look like a damn fool! If he wants to buy chains or whatever that’s his business, all I’m saying is stop parading that shit around like you brand new!
Mon, August 3, 2009 8:01 PM
Feeling…empathy…for…Soulja…Boy…make…it…stop…
Mon, August 3, 2009 8:10 PM
Amen soulja! He’s absolutely right! Shit, I thought he was ignorant and wasteful as shit until I read this. But he’s right, the media does try and bring him down and really only posts the negative. He actual seems like a pretty nice guy with his head on straight. See I never knew he did all that charity work…I see soulja in a new light after this…
But then again, the songs he makes do kind of help with the ignorant thing…maybe he should rap about something a little bit deeper than women, cars, money and swag from now on if he wants to be taken more serious…hold your head up though SB…
Mon, August 3, 2009 8:11 PM
LLS!!
That was EXACTLY what I was thinkin when I saw that
Mon, August 3, 2009 8:12 PM
I have to agree with soulja boy. first of all Tash was all in Beys defense when she bought those pricey finger nails but she thinks what he’s saying is funny funny..like he said it was a gift, and no one talks about the good he has done cause i surely didnt know…thats the most sense i have ever heard him “speak”
Mon, August 3, 2009 8:15 PM
Don’t sweat the small stuff and people soulja boy, and IceT and bitchboy Enimen is just that. They are trying to get some media play on your dime because they think you are an easy play and they WILL NOT go after anybody that would seriously tap that ass.
Don’t worry about IceT sending any bloods/crips to you, IceT is and will always be a FAKE GANGSTA.
And somebody black gave Eminem a ‘pass’ so he feels he can go after anybody black he thinks he can win with, he is a drugged out PUSSY!
Mon, August 3, 2009 8:16 PM
soulja you said a mouth full and that letter needs to get copyright, thats very good coming from a young man of your age and it put you right up there with the grown ups because theres not many old a@@ ni@@ers who can not hold a candle to what you said oh yes they are making that paper and are not thinking about nobody but their rich friends that they just met since they got some much needed paper , and if you don’t stand for something you will fall for anything and thats the reason that a lot of our people fall because they work so hard to try and hold otheres down you get that letter printed of and on a plack and frame it, that was well written and who ever don’t like it suck a frog.
Mon, August 3, 2009 8:18 PM
jay album cover looks real good its different and it makes a mistake, hes a savvy business man, and he seems to have his head screwed on right.
Mon, August 3, 2009 8:19 PM
JayZ sit your old declining ass down. You ain’t relevent anymore.
Mon, August 3, 2009 8:22 PM
Allen, he’s not quite old enough to drink (legally). He IS doing exactly what children do, especially children of this generation, regardless of race. His stage name says it all SouljaBOY (emphasis on BOY). It all equates to immaturity but when you know better, you do better and in most instances, wisdom comes with age. Not sure of YOUR age but I’m certain that there are things that you have done in your past that shame you to this day; major or miniscule. You live and LEARN; give him room to grow. He’s a human being and if the Lord wills, he will evolve and his “manhood” will come about in due time.
Mon, August 3, 2009 8:22 PM
JAY LOOKS SO DUMB WALKING AROUND WITH SAGGIN JEANS AND A BASEBALL CAP TILTED TO THE SIDE OF HIS HEAD. HE ANNOUNCED HIS RETIREMENT 10 YEARS AGO….. 3 ALBUMS LATER, HE’S 40ISH AND STILL TRYNA RAP AND KEEP UP WITH THESE YOUNG KIDS. HE LOOKS SO FOOLISH.
Mon, August 3, 2009 8:24 PM
soulja theres a lot of negative things said about different people and they needs to take a stand just like you did you see in the business that you are in you can be your own man and keep doing what you know is right and you will win in the end, you have got to deal with yourself, family, friends, people in the industry, and still keep your sh@t tight and that takes a lot of doing but keep the determination that you have and keep working hard and it will keep paying off for you and you have a chance to be as big or bigger than anny of them thats out there right now, tell the devil to get his behind you and keep your feet to the paddle, remember that there will always be those people who did not make it into the industry like you did they will always have a lot of negative talk going on about but let them talk and you keep yor feet to the peddle.
Mon, August 3, 2009 8:27 PM
HOWEVER, I’m with you on the weave v. nappy. Proud to be nappy – 2 months strong! Weave/relaxer free and loving it!
Mon, August 3, 2009 8:33 PM
When Jay’s last CD dropped, Def Jam bought up a bunch of copies, so he would have good #’s the first week (Pure Ego). Surprise, surprise, second week sales dropped dramatically. I’m sure they will buy up copies of Blue Print III as well.
Mon, August 3, 2009 8:34 PM
I hope he don’t let all this negativity people throw his way mess up his mind and career. I say leave the young boi alone, damn!!! Is he supposed to look and act like he don’t have money just to make others happy? I mean REALLY
Mon, August 3, 2009 8:36 PM
yes! he doesn’t have any sense! haven’t u seen people who have come across large amounts of $$$$ they lose their fuckin marbles actin like they ain’t never seen $$$ and this is an example of it.
Mon, August 3, 2009 8:37 PM
say what you want to about soulja but first of all ice needs to shut the hell up and live his own life and get of this young mans ass, em need to take his want to be black self somewhere and cool his self off and soulja told it really good, diddy he acts like hes all for himself i do not know but you do hear of jz doing things for people and giving back and what soulja has given back is saying a lot for him to be so young and just what in the hell or you doing icet you know you know better than to try and tear one of your own down thats wrong, you know theres a lot of dirt that goes on behind the curtains thats just plain dirty, and whats done in the dark will come to light.
Mon, August 3, 2009 8:37 PM
CEO Millionaires that use their POWER???
Mon, August 3, 2009 8:39 PM
Eminem needs to STFU already. I’m tried of hearing him trashing everybody else just to sell a damn album. Grow up already this isnt 2001 anymore.
Mon, August 3, 2009 8:41 PM
Why do you feel that one individual carries the weight of the entire black race? That’s a slave mentality if I’ve ever heard one. His occupation is not in corporate America or in a boardroom. He entertains and from the sounds of it, he’s doing quite well. He entertains people and if truth be told, there are SEVERAL others in Hollywood that don’t possess a highschool diploma much less a college degree yet he earns more than some gradutates of either. Accentuate the positive, he is able to attend college and pay cash.
Mon, August 3, 2009 8:45 PM
I love Jay Z!
Mon, August 3, 2009 8:47 PM
How? Because he made a #1 hit song, had everybody doing his lil dance, and made a bunch of money? Yeah… what an embarrassment…. NOT!!!! Stop hatin!
Mon, August 3, 2009 8:48 PM
RESPECT HIS TOP!!!!
Mon, August 3, 2009 8:50 PM
@ ‘chele
He makes it extremely clear that he’s never had money. What a selfless display of generosity – he could hoard all of his earnings and operate out of a spirit of lack. Yet he is a giver. His vent is a cry for help and a fellow giver will gladly take him under his/her wing. Stay tuned.
Mon, August 3, 2009 8:51 PM
ni**a phuckery at it’s finest. Don’t you hate when people use how and where they were raised as an excuse 2 act like a bafoon?
Mon, August 3, 2009 8:52 PM
Oh Souljaboy! lets see: maybe if you didnt brag abt how much $$ u hve, the robbers wouldnt hve jack you…heard it was stage anyway.
You can buy whatever you like Soulja…but when ur doing commercials for Cash4Gold @ 25yrs old…..we gonna sit back and say….told u so. Now he broke.
FYI…if you dont want ppl judging u….dont put ur self in a negative light. such as Bragging abt what u got.
take note from the MC Hammer page of trickin’off money..its a hard road to get yoself back to milli status.
Mon, August 3, 2009 8:59 PM
who in the hell is Afro American…thats the question. Is that a group of ppl with Afro’s?
Mon, August 3, 2009 9:01 PM
If you know your history, entertainers were frowned upon. Websters definition of BUFFOON is “a ridiculous yet amusing person”. There are quite of few of those on YouTube and in the music industry. I actually work with a few. Why is he being singled out?
Mon, August 3, 2009 9:13 PM
Hate to break it to you sister but people will judge you if you’re in a positive light, negative light, NIGHT light..! That’s what we do! LOL
Mon, August 3, 2009 9:14 PM
GoodNite BLACK Diamonds, White Diamonds, Red Diamonds etc
Mon, August 3, 2009 9:20 PM
I wish J would focus On what is left from Rocafella Records, and produce like several rap greats, like Dr. Dre (he is an excellent example of producing and developing artist and doing cameo’s and still staying relevant in the game). I honestly feel that J needs to age gracefully, there is not enough dialog Jay can hold in his rhymes that is relevant to the new generation, on the other hand if all we are left is with is Solider Boy, then I say J, start looking for new and improved rappers. I know they are out there on the Mixed Tape Scene in New York and across the country. There is enough talent across this country to run Soldier Boy out…that’s the problem, nobody is giving new cats/talent on the block a chance anymore…..Therefore, we are left defending the like of Soldier Boy. Don’t get it twisted, I am not hating on Soldier Boy, but again, there are not many record exc’s out there trying to recruit new and upcoming talent like they do in the pop/r&b world. Retire Hov, please and save what is left of Rocafella if there is anything left other than yourself…..
Mon, August 3, 2009 9:32 PM
can someone please tell me when soulja boy’s 15mins of fame is up??? that’s the longest 15mins i’ve ever seen, i hope he wises up and invest in something……. earth to soulja boy invest youngin, invest!!! but then again he’s young, all am saying is he hasn’t been in the biz that long to be wasting his little cash on this ish…… hope he doesn’t go bankrupt…..
Mon, August 3, 2009 9:38 PM
Jay-z album cover looks like some Kanye West-inspired design and I kind of feel SOulja Boy this time around. Ppl need to take him under their wing rather than shit on him! Black men in the industry that are twice his age are no better, so why talk about him at his age?
Mon, August 3, 2009 9:40 PM
Dumb Fuck….. um…… what did I tell him to spend his money on?!!!! I just said that he need to cut the bragging ish out….. When referencing how much he donated my point is that that is not even enough to tell about! How about you go back and re-read that and pick up your face while doing so!
Mon, August 3, 2009 9:47 PM
LMFAO!!!!
i just can’t!!
Mon, August 3, 2009 9:47 PM
I am the one who said that and I am the same age as Souljah boy. He talks of how he was born and raised in the hood and so on, but being in a similar situation, you are exposed to a great dose of reality at a young age, as well as common sense. I do understand what you are saying as people grow mentally at their own pace. However, you also have to be willing to do so. I am a 19 year old young woman and no one can tell me different.
Mon, August 3, 2009 9:49 PM
Sadly enough, he DOES carry the weight of the black race…all blacks do… When we do what we do, we are representing EVERY GROUP we are a part of because EVERYONE judges certain things based off of their previous exposure to them…It’s called STEREOTYPING, we ALL DO IT! Nobody is colorblind, gender-blind, religion-blind, whatever because we all naturally use stereotypes.
With that being said, maybe Soulja Boy should think about what he does a little more before he broadcasts it, because believe it or not, it indirectly affects all of us… especially young blacks like him.
and as a teacher I agree with the comment that one positive thing doesn’t overrule all of the bad things. For example What good is sponsoring a football team if your songs don’t even use the correct grammar they would need to be eligible to play college/NFL football?
think about it.
Mon, August 3, 2009 9:52 PM
Take him under their wing????? GTFOH, Soulja Boy is a COON, just like Lil Wayne. His music is COONISH, his behavior is COONISH, hell CARTOONISH. He is not a good role model for young kids. When he performed at the BET Coon Fest last month, I wanted to throw up. His music is GARBAGE, like pretty much all the rest of the junk out there. I can give a fuck how old his dumb ass is…he is a BUFFOON and embarrassment.
Mon, August 3, 2009 9:53 PM
When ignorant people as yourself refer to hair as “nappy shit”, why would someone want to wear that shit “normal”!!!! You talk ignorant and sound uneducated! I would like to see you date all women with “nappy shit”, then you can run your mouth! And how are you going to assume that the person that said that do?!!
Mon, August 3, 2009 9:55 PM

Mon, August 3, 2009 10:33 PM
i dont c aything funny about what he had 2 say..i just don’t think he owed anyone an explanation..
Mon, August 3, 2009 10:37 PM
Girl Bye with that Eminem foolishness!! NO ONES CHECKING FOR HIMMMM!! Say it with me………NO ONES CHECKING FOR HIMMM!!
Mon, August 3, 2009 10:39 PM
I have to agree with Soulja Boy on this one. Not a huge fan, never bought his CD but I do like a song or two. Eminem is going on Mariah Carey now Soulja Boy?? He keeps killing himself. Someone tell him to go to a permanent timeout already!
Mon, August 3, 2009 10:49 PM
thank u…lmao.. soulja boy needs to sit his ass down and live life as well as take care of his family and do us all a favor and dont make any more songs cuz i cant stand to hear those nursery rymes that u call lyrics ANYMORE… anyways luv jay-z and his cover..c ant wait 4 the album to drop
Mon, August 3, 2009 10:50 PM
CO- SIGN
See BET and other black media outlets thought that it was cool to play music by this BOY who talks about his mother and the mother of his child. I’m sorry T.I and Gucci may say bitch this and whatever that (not condoning it) but u will never hear TIP go in on tiny or his mom like that. Black folk (some) just gave him some sort of hood card and he ran with. He felt he got the approval so he’s ridin it but let the Black media ignore his ass trust IT WILL be over!!!!!!
Mon, August 3, 2009 10:51 PM
I don’t feel embarrassed by soulja boy….he is still growing up and he tried to explain that. He isn’t showing off anymore than any other rapper when they get signed and talk about all of the things they have. Look at jay z, diddy and well everyone. So what he raps about nothing, im older and when rappers came out rapping about adidas, the wild wild west and tonto we just danced to it and had fun.
Eminem, I simply cannot take. He disrespects everyone and particularly entertainers in the african american community and everyone gobbles it up. Im happy Nick Cannon showed class and ignored his latest stunt.
Mon, August 3, 2009 10:57 PM
Why is this funny, funny Natasha??? He is actually speaking the truth. I didn’t even know he did all those things, except when dudes broke into his house. What he is saying is actually the truth. Why not spread when he does positive things?? We r ALL supposed to lift each other not bring each other down. That’s the main problem with our kids. They never hear the good things they do, just the bad.
Mon, August 3, 2009 11:01 PM
I totally agree. He needs a little bit more guidance.
Applause! This was very well stated and so precisely correct.
Mon, August 3, 2009 11:03 PM
Say that girl!! Say It!! Im not embarrased by him either. Honestly if he is going to act like this, I rather him do it now at 19 than at 29 like some of the other dudes. I beleive he will be more refined as he gets older.
As for Em…no words but I’m glad Nick kept it classy. It’s just plain wrong that Eminem acts like this and on some of the black blogs some BLACK PEOPLE/WOMEN are condoning it! Sickens me and shows me the state of some of US!
Mon, August 3, 2009 11:04 PM
We have no problem when he buy that type stuff, but bringin to the internet like it’s fly is the dumb move. I can’t support that type of HipHop.
Mon, August 3, 2009 11:23 PM
no comment on soulja boy
but damn, i cant be the only one that thinks that
eminem needs to sit down.
the man was relavent for years and now his coming back with fury. damn!
Mon, August 3, 2009 11:26 PM
Soulja kid isn’t gonna get any sympathy from me. He is a perfect example of a kid from the hood, who has too much money, and lacks the maturity on what to do with it.
He is the one that put his shyt out there like that….he could have all that shyt, and keep it to himself, but like a typical child, he wants to show off what he has. Yes, he is just a kid, but u know what….enough of that shyt. His whole response reeks of “why is everyone picking on me”…he needs to stfu
Mon, August 3, 2009 11:29 PM
Missthang, which by the way, there’s no such word as “Thang”, you’re disgracing our ENTIRE race with your slang. Off with your head! Silly right? That’s how you sound to me too. Live and let live.
Agreed, stereotypes and prejudices are a constant but we as individuals must transcend and accentuate the positive! Soulja Boy’s behavior/speech is absolutely acceptable in his industry -one that glamourizes youth, freedom of speech, money, fame, drugs, pre-marital sex – especially “Birthday Sex”! He won’t be shunned if his subjects and verbs don’t agree because he makes you shake your a$$ and “Superman dat ho”. Nor will the athletes be expected to do more than catch the ball and score a Touchdown! GO BILLS!! As I mentioned, entertainers and athletes were to some a disgrace to our community years ago, those who were education were favored (and still are) however this presents the old negro catch 22 because we’re also conditioned “do whatcha gotta do” to get out of the ‘hood and he’s doing/has done just that. So which one is it going to be folks???
Rap/hip hop has offered poor black boys an opportunity to be rich – note that young white men purchase (not bootleg either) more music than any other group. How can you offer a book to a starving (literally) person? There’d better be a coupon for a FREE sandwich combo as a bookmark! Why not expound on his entrepreneurship, determination and ability to make your ride home that much less stressful? Stop tsk, tsk, tsking and shaking your head when he opens his mouth because he’s only doing what he knows to do NOW. He’s fortunate enough now to be able to change that if he so chooses. ROLE MODEL? Nonsense! He does what he’s paid to do and you should be teaching your children to view him for what he is, an entertainer and a HUMAN being – not perfect today, tomorrow, NEVER and to make their own CHOICES.
He’s beat the odds, he owns real estate, a car, and jewelry; he’s traveling the WORLD! How many sentences will your students need conjugate before their passport is stamped? In his industry NONE- they’re wanted in Europe and Asia as I type! Is it right? To some yes, he’s eating well and living better than he’s ever and to some no, he needs to speak better and get an education; yet you’re renting, praying that your car holds up until income tax returns next year, student loans in default and never traveled out of your home state. The child is damned if he does, damned if he doesn’t. Your opinion, my opinion but not at all anything to be ashamed of, he’s beat “da” odds. Think about THAT….
Mon, August 3, 2009 11:33 PM
Souljah Boy please go sit your ass somewhere, making me ashamed to say I am even in the same generation as you. As a young black college female, I can tell you this, what Souljah Boy is doing is plain ignorant. You can always tell who has new money and who has old money. No I am not going to tell a white person who’s rich what to do with their money because 9 times out of 10 they are not on Youtube flashing it like they lost all their senses. Also growing up around wealthy white people, they might have luxurious houses and cars, but better believe they know how to get rid of them when the time comes to. They also know how to invest their money and make sure their children are at least taken care of while they are alive and when they past. No one can blame this on age and being a child. Souljah Boy is now what the USA considers an adult. Someone does need to teach the boy to invest his money like I was taught to invest money and I grew up in the hood, I was just able to have opportunities to leave it when it came to my education. I am 20 years and I will admit I am ashamed of SB and I am not trying to tell him what to spend his money but it’s about humility when growing up. So what no one shows the good you are performing, but remember this, you do good deeds because you want to help someone else out and because you want to not for the recognition. For if you do good deeds for the recognition, then in reality you don’t care, you just want the fame and acknowledgment for doing it. Also other rappers do donate and have foundations, they just keep their ish on the low low. For example, Jay-Z has a scholarship foundation that helps pays majority of college tuition for teens who live in the hood, and those teen have to mentor a young teen in their neighborhood, or state of their college. Go google it for yourself for the details. It’s a great way to give back and improve the black community. Maybe SB should take notes on giving for the older rappers.
Mon, August 3, 2009 11:36 PM
this is what rich men give their young rich boyfriends and i’m sure his “jeweler” is just that maybe tila tequila will steal it from him on his stream lmao
Mon, August 3, 2009 11:39 PM
Also people please realize, although he might have this money now, there’s a huge possibility he might not have it later. Money is not long lasting, it does fade away if you squander it like it’s something gained back in large amounts easily. Plus who says he owns that house, car and all those other items, he could easily be faking the funk just like a lot of other celebrities have. The house can be on a payment plan, his car can be leased or also on a payment plan and those other items payment plans. Just because he says he owns these things, he might not because he probably was not the one reading the contracts or papers that were involved, it’s just a thought. If you think about all the people who’s houses were foreclosed and cars repossessed this past year, ish does happen and he is not saved or different from any other person, it can happen to him. Therefore he needs to watch how he spends his money, just like a lot of other rich and wealthy people do.
Mon, August 3, 2009 11:44 PM
EXACTLY…if u don’t understand that…time to educate yourself….
He puts himself on blast and he is just so foolish he thought he was actually droppin knowledge! “Nigga” at its finest…
Mon, August 3, 2009 11:52 PM
Did any of you college grads major in history? Blacks have always had to clean up better, speak better, act like they had some sense so that white folk would comment on how you weren’t like the rest of “them”. And here years later you’re still at it!!! ENOUGH! Our yearning to fit in birthed our flashiness! Look at your logoed bags, shoes, belts, not a chemically altered hair out of place, eating at restaurants which our ancestors would only be able to cook or serve, and turning your noses down on those who aren’t at “the” events – SB fits in now, and he’s not robbing (he’s being robbed) or stealing – he’s rapping. He shouldn’t be made to feel as though his accomplishments as an artist are second to those of the educated.
Tue, August 4, 2009 12:09 AM

Tue, August 4, 2009 12:43 AM
Em needs to shut the f up with his washed up ass. Mad that a young brotha is stealing his lil fans. SO WHAT!!!! SB can do whatever the hell he wants to do with HIS money.
I am happy to see ANY BLK person make it out the hood.

They wanna comment about SB but no one makes comments on those young white ho’s whoring around.
Tue, August 4, 2009 1:04 AM
Lol,Lol, I know know his jeweler love to see him coming. I bet as soon as he step out the door they laugh behind his back. I’m sure they are thinking, “what a dumb nigger”, “A dumb nigger is born everyday”, “can’t wait for that dumb nigger to come back in”, “see what we sold that dumb nigger”, “every minute a dumb nigger is born”.
Tue, August 4, 2009 1:29 AM
No Jay Z isn’t a genius-all his so-called, ’swag’ was str8 from Big. And the album cover isn’t cool—it’s ominous. Anyone who drops an Album on 9/11 @ 9:11 am is up to no good!
Tue, August 4, 2009 1:34 AM
Hmmm, I wonder what designers think/say when the notice that their merchandise is predominately purchased/worn; that their bags are being purchased/rented (you know who you are) by individuals from socioeconomically challenged backgrounds who live below the poverty line??? Who gives a flip? NOT I!! Why do you care what people think? The only opinion that matters is that of the Most High – personal, just as his life/money. SB is enjoying life right where he is TODAY!
In this economy, the jewelers are most likely thanking God for SB as he’s keeping them in business! Accentuate the positive Hot Pants; SB is single handedly employing gemologist and jewelers and challenging them to create designs that they’ve never dreamed of! He’s happy and who does that – wears a jeweled toy? How much FUN this CHILD is having! What’s your talent HP? Can you rap? ;-)
Tue, August 4, 2009 1:35 AM
Oh, and who cares about Souljah Boy besides his mama and teens grls (which is how it should be)!
Tue, August 4, 2009 1:42 AM
Ominous, lol – love the perspective. His album could be just that – an American tragedy as the date suggests.
Tue, August 4, 2009 1:52 AM
I guess Lowkey feels stupid now. Soulja Boy is successful young ,black male and I respect his grind . Let him buy whatever he wants to . He does a lot of positive things and god bless him 4 it . Who are we to judge? I do believe he has money saved up I dont think this young dude is stupid at all . You Go Soulja Boy
Tue, August 4, 2009 2:26 AM
Curious
OnAug 3, 2009 at 7:35 pm | Reply | what an inarticulate coon souljah boy is! my goodness, did he get a GED?! are students no longer required to take grammar classes. I think he should take eminem’s suggestions into serious consideration and stop setting the entire race back everytime he steps outside
That is the dumbest shit i have every read
Tue, August 4, 2009 3:04 AM
wow, i never comment and im not that much of a fan of soulja boy, but i must say i feel him. im glad he stood up for himself in a way that showed exactly what he has been doing for the community and was not the regular ” im so hard” speech.
Tue, August 4, 2009 3:33 AM
I AGREE WITH BEUATY IS MINE NAME 100%!!! I like this site but why does it blast the men who wears chains, I’ am not a fan of big chains and such but if they want to spend their money on it or wear it more power to them. How come nobody says it is a shame when the ladies celebs spend thousands of dollars on their shoes (even though their cute) that we only see once? At least you can exchange jewerly if times get rough. I agree with Soulja boy to an extent why is everybody checking on him? His music and behavior is no different from all the others his age range so why no attack them also. I think we need to stop picking celebs to hate on and the ones we give a pass too.
Sorry, I don’t find anything interesting about Jay’s album cover. I’ am not a fan so I won’t be buying.
Eminem needs to sit his ass down period. I’ am so sick of him attacking people mainly women and children. He is like the big dog picking on the puppies challege someone on your level, boo. At least 50 took on other rappers that was on his level
Tue, August 4, 2009 4:48 AM
hmmm… pretty decent spelling and grammatical structure for a web-page post and I have to admit, better than what I would have assumed Soulj Boy would put out.
… and that line “real nigga shit” after diamonds, guns, b-ball, football, etc… really gets me every time. WTF!!! to that my peoples! Hilarity!!
Tue, August 4, 2009 4:57 AM
… okay and then I just had to go and click the video. Ri-dam-di-cu-lous!!
… and the lil’ song at the end is indicative of all his ~ish. A whole song where he only says 3 words over and over again. This kid has no clue. Granted he’s making the kind of money that he and his family didn’t have growing up & he’s doing some charitable things with it according to him. But he’s absolutely dumbing down hip hip. So many in his whole lil’ generation are. Shame on ‘em.
Tue, August 4, 2009 6:36 AM
honestly if you’re that concerned with people’s opinion of you don’t put yourself out there. no one one would of known about the chain if he didn’t make it known. he vented a while ago about how crazy everything is and he wanted to be taken seriously and then comes back with “real nigga shit” “rich nigga shit”. hopefully this is a gimmic because it’s sad. the only reason SB is bringing up his charity work now is because so many people took offense to this situation. He never thought it was cool enough to bring camera’s with him or post his charity work under a “rich nigga shit” episode. where does society draw the line in immaturity, yes he grew up (possibly) in a a very bad situation, but for the regular person growing up in those same surroundings don’t we expect them at some point to grow up, why do people get offended when society expects the same from him? is it because he has money? if everyone should be treated on the same level, the maturity i expect from one person in his age range is the maturity i expect from him also. Why make excuses for yourself? even his supporters will get tired of the excuses eventually….. oh well i hope he gets it one day (hammer would be a good mentor for SB)
Tue, August 4, 2009 7:13 AM
You took the words out my mouth!!! The media isn’t posting this WHACKNESS…HE is…so he can’t blame anybody but his self…
Tue, August 4, 2009 7:44 AM
As my man would say to me every night.. “That was AMAZING” Tell’em soulja boy.. tell’em why u mad son… tell’em why u mad son!!!! I love it, well said Soulja boy…oh and I love black diamonds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tue, August 4, 2009 8:18 AM
y’all talking mad shit cause if i was Soulja Boy i woulda done the same shit most likely. Who in da world do you know got a REMOTE CONTROL CHAIN?? Almost everyone prob has a chain but a remote control chain that HE GOT FREE…he didnt spend his money on the shit. A remote control chain yo?! who even thinks abt making that. Prob might not have youtubed it but i mean wats da difference between him flashing his chain an when master P was on Cribs with the golden toilet…its the same shit. He’s a rapper, they all stunt in some fashion. As for the idiots saying he should show the good stuff he been doing. That’s like someone doing you a favour to make them look good and not out of the kindness of his heart. Its more generous to give out an not put it on TV like you looking for attention. If youtubed giving sh!t to charity that would be him just being a n***a, if you gonna give stuff to the poor. Do it out of the kindness of your heart not for a photo-op so i respect him for that. The chain, might not have youtubed it but i woulda shown somebody what it can do? I mean why else have it?!?! Stuntin is a habit!!!
JayZ needs to fall da fck back, he like George Forman still tryna box…n**a go school these youngins an improve the quality of music on the radio….you already hit an went past the top. Time to pass on what you learnt. Fck ya bogus announcement, im like ya ex-best friend who would know you best. I believe you did CB dirty at that BET awards but what goes around comes around if you did. If you didnt then i apologize but i sincerely feel as if you did. If CB is at the MTV awards, it just goes to damn well show

I am very proud of the way Soulja Boy responded. He made a lot of sense. You can take the boy out the hood, but can’t take the hood out the boy. I never knew the things he was doing to give back, and that in itself is com, endable. It shows unselfishness. Let the media tell it, he is an ignorant boy who Superman’s that hoe, flosses & makes senseless YouTube videos. Seems he may be more than that.
On theo the other hand, when these celebrities make these videos, they leave it open for the public to criticize, & really shouldn’t expect much from a world of people, who don’t think for themselves & will turn anything into negative media. Stop doing the videos Soulja Boy, and if you don’t wanna, that’s ok too, but take this criticism & hate & dust it off your shoulders. What others think, matters not. What YOU think of yourself matters MOST!!

Soulja Boy can buy whatever it is he wants and post on every social network there is because that’s what he eants to do. People are so judgemental about what someone else do with themselves. These so called adult men need to grow and and try to shed a positive light instead of being so negative all the time. GROW UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tue, August 4, 2009 9:22 AM
WOW!!! I never really cared for Soulja Boy until now!!! He’s absolutely right. He actually sounds like he has a good head on his shoulders. People need to understand that he is a teenaged boy with a lot of money. He’s going to do all kinds of shyt that we may think is crazy but who are we to judge. He has a lot of maturing to do so we need to let him have at it. The media and public shouldn’t be the ones telling him how he should live or what he should do. That’s up to his parents and mentors. Where the he!! are they at???
And to Soulja Boy….if you want people to see you in a differnt light…when you’re buying can goods for the homeless, toys for the underpriveleged at Christmas and donating your time maybe you should document it yourself. The media isn’t going to do it for you. They want to see you jump around with the Lambo chain and act silly. It gives them coverage and makes people diss you to the highest degree…that’s what they like. Why not document the shyt yourself and put it on Youtube. You put everything else on Youtube….your abs and your Lambo chain. Display your own positivity. No one else is going to uplift you better than you can. XOXO
Tue, August 4, 2009 9:26 AM
yeah yeah yeah, womp womp womp…you wanna know “why”!? BECAUSE YOU PUT THIS IGNORANCE ON YOUTUBE, didn’t nobody make you do it silly rabbit. That is WHY people are all in your business, BECAUSE you invited them to do so. If you don’t want people judging you, talking about you, criticizing you, then get a (better) life and stop showing how ignorant you are and try uplifting your fellow youth by introducing them to some of what you say you’ve seen around the world and start publicizing and youtubing all the philanthropy you’re such a fan of. p.s. Some humble pie wouldn’t hurt you either. It’s real ugly when people do good and give to others ONLY to advertise that they’re doing it because they want praise and glory. It sort of nullifies the whole purpose of GOOD WILL. Thank you, buh bye.
Tue, August 4, 2009 9:48 AM
That’s just not true. He does put these sorts of things on YouTube, but he also puts videos of his charitable events on YouTube as well. It’s not his fault that “Rich Nigga Shit pt. 6″ has over twice as many views as his “Toyz in Da Hood” YouTube posts. Controversy sells. Or in this case, gets massively publicized. That’s the way it is and that’s the way it will always be in America. People should realize that, although you may not like it, Souljaboy IS doing something Constructive and Creative. He could’ve totally neglected his creative talents, stayed in the hood, got on the corner, rob people, etc. But, instead, he made the Choice to develop his craft and be a positive influence on his friends and family. GET OFF THE MAN’S BACK. He’s 19!!
Tue, August 4, 2009 10:25 AM
Wow….beleive it or not, but I’ve never listened to a SB song all the way through without turning that shit off…But his little post actually made me look at him differently. Hmmm…good look.
And on a side note: The media is a hot mess.
Tue, August 4, 2009 10:26 AM
Hand Clap for the Boy! Still not my kind of music but I can respect him for stepping to the BS the media and others throw his way.
Tue, August 4, 2009 10:31 AM
As far as Jay-Z…can’t wait! :)
I always forget how young he truly is. Soulja Boy is a young man who still has his “hood” mentality. I’m from the hood and my Bachelor’s degree is proof that you can do better, but I know the mentality that he has. I’ve seen it first hand. When he gets something new, he flashes it, much like the little kid who got their favorite toy for Christmas. I agree, he does need to grow out of that, but I believe in time…he will. Before this, I didn’t know the good works he does in the community, and yes, that should be what he’s advertising, but let’s not forget that he’s still a kid. I think he’ll grow out of it…but then again, look at Bow Wow, and he’s 22. lol I just feel people should lay off him and let him be who he is. He’ll grow when he’s supposed to.
Tue, August 4, 2009 10:58 AM
I heard he is gay. I have a problem with him saying Nigga repeatly. Haven’t you learn your lesson yet. Stay humble. Oh,I forgot he’s still young and immature.
Tue, August 4, 2009 12:16 PM
Soulja Boy does have a point, although he do and say a lot of ignorant shit, he is just a boy so Em need to find someone else to pick on (a grown man), and Ice-T is ridiculous, WTH was all of that about!
Tue, August 4, 2009 12:24 PM
people really need to stop criticizing him! of course he’s gonna spend his money on bullshit stuff…he’s still a kid.
Tue, August 4, 2009 12:53 PM
Soulja boy STFU. Your lame point blank period.
Tue, August 4, 2009 1:06 PM
This is some of the most articulate posting I have ever witnessed on a messageboard. This is real talk, and I will never understand why we berate people like SB by saying things like “He’s making us look bad”. You may not agree wit hwhat he’s doing but since when did a black teenage boys actions determine the fate and perception of the black race. He is not robbing, killing, or committing any crimes by relishing in what his money has got him. He also tells the truth about his charitable offerings. When certain celebs do charity it turns into a “DO WE LIKE THIS LOOK???” instead of focusing on the event itself, then have the nerve to talk bad about the celeb when they buy thousand dollars worth of shoes and jackets because they “don’t do enough charity”. That whole mentality is wack. And Soulja Boy just has to represent for himself and not the entire race, because there are other ethnicities doing far worse, yet we have to live up to “their standard”. GTFOH.
On another note. Can’t wait for BP3. Classic in the making.
Tue, August 4, 2009 1:20 PM
Not a soulja boi fan but I do read some of his blogs…and that man ONLY does videos & stuff like that because his die hard fans love seeing it…I don’t know any celeb who puts on blast the things they do for the community…if they did…they would ONLY be doing it so people can say “Oh look at them, they do this and that”….pure fake! I wish people would stop talkin about this man EVERY time he chooses to do stuff for him…that’s his money..and if he wanna spend it on useless shit..then that’s on him…people worry tooo much about what somebody else doing when they need to worry more about what THEY doin’….
And Em? Really? So you STILL talking about people huh? SMFH…some things NEVER change tho…
Tue, August 4, 2009 1:40 PM
that’s what im saying. When u do good and talk about it…means you’re looking for praise or thanks and it wasnt out of the goodness of your heart. his jeweler got it for him, even if he did buy it get off his nuts. Half these bitches wear weaves or wigs or w.e false hair but he making US look bad? Nah b!tch, you and ya wanna be str8 hair is making us look bad. What you ashamed of your hair? And the n***az that forget abt the hood after they get a degree an a job, aint saying go chill on the corner. Hell you aint even gotta go back there but at least call n see how ya pplz who held u down thru the rough college years are doing. SB is mad wack but he spends his money like an a$$ and he gives out to the poor in the same regard also. I dont care if he bought a platinum water bottle n put it on his neck. If he took half of that cash an fed a child as well. I aint gonna knock him cause half of u walk past n***az on the subway so dont front like u better than nobody
Tue, August 4, 2009 2:35 PM
“A fool and his money are soon parted”
Having said that, who cares what he does with his money?
That’s why I’m Republican cause I do not like folks dictating to me what I should be doing with my hard earned money! I feel ya youngin
Re the vid, he is appealing to his fan base…seems like a smart kid if that is what you like
Tue, August 4, 2009 2:38 PM
That is not the reason he was robbed. Do you rob? probably not because you may have a job and actually be a productive member of society. Ignorance is such a strong word. Look it up. SB is surely making money. What if he was selling drugs or robbing YOU. Guess that would give you a good reason.
Tue, August 4, 2009 3:35 PM
I have to agree with Soldier Boy on this one. He said it all when he asked “Who are you to judge how I spend my money?” It’s his name that’s on those checks. Like it or not, it’s his choise as to how to spend the money. What good does it do to worry about it? Unless he’s about to cut you a check, your mind should be on his money anyway.
Tue, August 4, 2009 3:37 PM
Tue, August 4, 2009 5:48 PM
souljaboy earned his money so he can do what he wants with it. If he wants to buy jewelry and flaunt it on internet videos then so be it, that’s his business. I bet if he was not famous but rich and making videos like this it would not be a problem & as far as eminem goes he is too damn old to be hating on a teenager he needs to grow up.
Tue, August 4, 2009 5:58 PM
hopped out of the bed…… turned my common sense off!
Tue, August 4, 2009 11:06 PM
Thank You!! I was 19 a few years ago, and trust me I knew that you have to be responsible for what you put out about yourself. What makes it EVEN WORSE, is him essentially claiming he’s just a product of his environment. FOOL, if you have enough sense to recognize the ills of your environment, that means you are aware enough to change your attitude.
The funny thing is to see people here defending him like oh, he’s just a young Black man. SOmetimes y’all need to chill with that excuse, because it ends up breeding some immature adults who feel like they have no control over their actions.
Tue, August 4, 2009 11:27 PM
WOW, pure-de ignorance all up and through Soul Boy’s response and all up and through this entire post; comments included. It was almost hard for me to acknowledge or applaud the charitable work/deeds of Soulja Boy, on one hand I say good, you did what you were suppose to do you gave back, you contributed something besides embracing this hood/ghetto mentality, besides feeding young people mindless, weak lyrical content, It’s good that he gave back to people who are in need, but I’m not going to give him a gold star for it. When are people going to stop using “I has born in the hood it’s all I know’ as an excuse to not do better? When are people going to stop saying “well he or she is only 18 or 19 what do you expect, give them a break…yada yada yada) I say HELL NO!!! Do Better! This kid used the word nigga and niggaz I don’t know how many times in response, he stated that he has “traveled all across the world and seen some amazing things…” Great, then you know there is another world accessible to you, there is another world outside of you backyard, outside of your hood, there is soo much this “young nigga” humph, can change about who he is, it isn’t about not being ” REAL 100″ or about wearing I’m “a real nigga” on your sleeve like a badge of honor to prove something to somebody, it’s about doing better, this kid now has access to a better living environment, hell a better education if he so chooses to take advantage of, soo much is now available to him yet like soo many of our youth they have no one to show them how, I really do hope “the writing is not on the wall” for Soulja Boy, I feel so sorry and disappointed in our youth today, like Jessie Jackson said ” I may have been born in the ghetto but the ghetto was not born in me!”
“CUZ U DONT WANT PEOPLE TO SEE THE REAL SHIT THATS GOIN BEHIND THE SCENES U WANT EVERYTHING WATERED DOWNED AND FAKE THATS WHY! FUCK THAT! I’m all the way REAL 100. I know America probably ain’t ready for a young black rich nigga running around doing it how he had it planned since he was little. But i’m from the hood! This is all I know”
No Soulja Boy, baby boy you and others just like you have got it all wrong, Black America especially is ready for our young black men, whether your rich, poor, surviving, living, just getting by, barely getting by, don’t know how you got by, we are READY for you all to do better, to want better, not just material processions, but want more from your selves, and to refuse the excuse echoed by “a young nigga” ” But i’m from the hood! This is all I know”.
BC is getting down from her soap box…….Oh and to the fool who commented that Solja Boy’s response needed to be copy righted because it was soo articulate and thought provoking, NEGRO pleaseeeeee Read A book, any book, if you thought Soulja Boy’s response riddled with the words nigga and niggaz was soo moving that it ought to be copied righted then you are also need to do better!

You got grown folks doing the same over the top spending adn worse, they may not post it on You Tube, but believe me the same crap you are chastising this guy for, MANY of your celebes and rappers do the same mess and just don’t post it the evidence. I appreciate what he wrote because it was from the heart. You all act like dude is 35, he’s a damn TEENAGER!! Let him have his fun! You should like a bunch of jealous haters!
Wed, August 5, 2009 5:32 PM
No excuses period! 19 years old or 35 years old or 65 years old, celebrity or not, I refuse to justify ignorant behavior, and I certainly am no “hater” GOD I can’t stand that word, I “EXPECT” my young brothas to do better, to want better, to over come and be a positive example and not glorify this ghetto mentality, I “EXPECT” for 19 year old young men to act like young men and not young “niggaz” I “EXPECT” a 19 year old young person who has never been anywhere, never had anything to exhibit the type of behavior and sentiments that Soulja Boy expressed in his response, but my question when does that no longer apply? When he’s 20, 21, 22, 23, etc…. At what point to you people say sorry young man that excuse no longer applies?
“Let him have his fun!” from the mouth of babes, or rather tweens / young twenty-somethings…

If Soulja Boy is mad about folks not talking about the good stuff he does, why not get a video camera and post those events for charity or doing good for everyone to see.
He put all that effort into posting dumb stuff like this (and naked photos of himself), he can do the same for charity things.
Why showcase that stuff? Didn’t he get robbed already? Stop making yourself a target. And if other rappers are ripping for that–you might want to take their advice. Besides when he gets BROKE will hebe posting videos of the repos?
The media DOES report some of the good things rapers and blacks do. It’s not their fault that those media outlets are not BET, MTV or VH1. Romeo, Pharrell, Tyrese, Omarion, Nick Cannon and others SURE don’t have a problem in getting coverage. OUTSIDE the black media.
Fri, August 7, 2009 11:50 PM
I can top that 40 kids from my school DROPPED out thanks to him. They saw what some guy with little talent can do and they decided they could do the same thing too. And showcase all that junk doesn’t help encouraging keeping black kids in school.
