ESPN has just confirmed that the newly re-instated Michael Vick has just signed a 2 year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles. Word has it the Eagles were about to release their current star quarterback Donovan McNabb but he re-signed his contract recently. They’re holding a news conference tomorrow morning to make the official announcement. A lot of folks didn’t think Michael would get re-signed…and def not this quick. But it looks like Mike is ready to get back in the saddle.

In other news, NFL baller Dante Stallworth was just suspended for the ‘09 season after killing a pedestrian while driving drunk:
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell decided Donte’ Stallworth’s football punishment should last much longer than his 24 days in jail.
The Cleveland Browns receiver, who pleaded guilty to killing a pedestrian while driving drunk, was suspended without pay Thursday for the entire season. He is barred from team activities until he is reinstated after the Super Bowl.

American justice and hypocrisy at its finest

Thu, August 13, 2009 11:04 PM
Shouldn’t Stallworth be facing major prison time??? How is it that he only faces a slap on the wrist? This doesn’t seem right… Scratch that, THIS IS NOT RIGHT!
Thu, August 13, 2009 11:13 PM
YOu wonder why the eagles were never mentioned in speculation. Im curious to see what andy reid is going to do with vick. Good since kolbs been hurt and when mcnabb inevitably gets hurt this seawson, vick should be an incredible replacement.
Thu, August 13, 2009 11:42 PM
good for vick. let’s just hope he doesn’t fuck it up like oj did.
Thu, August 13, 2009 11:59 PM
The one thing that help Stallworth is that the street camera showed the man he hit run out in front of his car and even if he wasnt drinking that night he would have still hit and killed that man! But my prayers do go out to the dead man family!!!
Fri, August 14, 2009 12:00 AM
Good for Vic..u see what i mean, you kill a dog and damn near get a life sentence but kill a human and get a slap on the wrist. Where’s the justice???
Fri, August 14, 2009 1:10 AM
Welcome back Vick! I don’t like any nasty darn dogs anyway..people worry more about animals than their own fellow human being
Fri, August 14, 2009 1:22 AM

24 days for killing someone? There is something seriously wrong with the justice system in this country; disgusting. The NFL suspension is not nearly enough. A 59year old man has been taken away from his family because of this clown. I hope they sue.
Fri, August 14, 2009 3:37 AM
you ain’t neva lied
Fri, August 14, 2009 4:04 AM
I’M SORRY I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT STAND THE NFL ANYMORE. NEITHER OF THEM DESERVES A SECOND CHANCE IN THE LEAGUE. THE NFL IS SETTING VERY VERY LOW STANDARDS AND IT’S VERY VERY SAD.
KARMA IS SOMETHING ELSE. I THINK STALLWORTH IS ACTUALLY REMORSEFUL FOR WHAT HE DID, IT WAS AN ACCIDENT AND THE THE MAN WAS ILLEGALLY CROSSING THE STREET. VICK IS FULL OF SHYT AND DID HIS DIRT INTENTIONALLY.

Good for Mike! I knew he’d get signed to somebodys team! Hell, I might even go get a jersey now! lol Has anybody heard about how the fans feeling about this deal?
Dante, damn, talk about a deal! Only 24 days? I don’t know, think if i was related to the person who was killed, I might be raising hell! But you know what the bad part is? Not playing all year and not getting paid is what is going to be on his mind more than the jail time!
Fri, August 14, 2009 8:44 AM
I’m Soooooooooooooo happy for Mike Vick. This is a very good move for him. Now that Donte shit is a hot ass mess that man is a killer period point blank. That’s how you know the law is all fucked up the man aint loss a damn thing and I can’t take what he says to heart. But anyway Good luck Mr. Vick hope you do it right this time around
Fri, August 14, 2009 9:03 AM
way to go vick now u can laugh a your snitching ass homes with their broke ass….haha
Fri, August 14, 2009 9:33 AM
You sound absoulutely RIDICULOUS!!!! How is it that you can feel sorry for a man who KILLED anothe HUMAN BEING while driving DRUNK (regardless if the man jumped out in front of the car) and continue to villify a man who participated in DOG fighting?! Where are your priorities and morals?! NEVER EVER should an ANIMALS life be put before a HUMANS’S…there is just NO COMPARISON!! Maybe when you or someone you love dies at the hand of another negligent human being you’ll change your mind! Hipocrasy at it’s finest! SMDH
Fri, August 14, 2009 10:02 AM
I will DEFINITELY support Vick! Welcome back!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fri, August 14, 2009 10:51 AM
I was thinking that since McNabb is getting up there in years, Vick would be a good replacement. We’ll see. I don’t know who the other guy is.
Fri, August 14, 2009 10:52 AM
AGREED!!!
Fri, August 14, 2009 11:02 AM
Whether the man was illegally crossing the street, or not, I don’t understand the rationale for Stallworth’s sentencing. Alcohol levels well over the legal limit, marijuana found in his system and all he gets is 24 days in jail and one year without pay. This guy has millions and will probably not hurt from not getting paid for one year. He will more than likely resume his football duties shortly after the football season ends, and be rewarded another multi-million dollar contract. Something’s just not right about this.
Fri, August 14, 2009 11:29 AM
I am happy that Vick got a second chance. I love dogs, pits in particular, but I can’t judge him. I’ve made some mistakes in my life and know that God is the One Judge.
Fri, August 14, 2009 11:58 AM
Michael Vick got like 2 years for funding dog fighting Dante Stallworth got 24 days for killing a human being while being drunk????? Something sounds way off here
Fri, August 14, 2009 1:19 PM
so happy for michael vick he did his time and i dont see a problem letting him do his job….
Fri, August 14, 2009 4:45 PM
Dante Stallworth deserves life in prison..so sad & unfortunate that celebs get a slap on the hand because they have Money…
Fri, August 14, 2009 9:40 PM
That is true, he got away with alot. I pray he does not do it again
Sat, August 15, 2009 2:46 AM
Thank you NFL for suspending this loser of a human being Dante Stallworth? HOw does he live with himself knowing he could have prevented this man’s death had he checked his ego at the door and not drove home drunk. I don’t understand why people are so selfish when it comes to drinking and driving. If you have the money to buy drinks then you should have the money to get a cab. It’s not that hard to do.
