- Nas pulls in $244,826 a month
– Kelis rakes in a relatively paltry $13,744 a month
– Kelis should get child support totaling $17,225 a month
– Kelis should get spousal support totaling $72,728
– Nas should pay retro child support totaling $29,522
– Nas should pay retro spousal support totaling $281,571
That’s a lot of mula.
So Omarion is taking to his Twitter to try to clear up the rumors of him getting dropped from Young Money/Cash Money. He says he didn’t get dropped. He asked to be released:

I’m sorry… but how in the hell is she suppose to get retro support when the child was just born… this is what’s wrong with the system and why men try to run from it… just because they were married, doesn’t mean that the child was his, and the lawyer knows damn well that is the case in child support issues.. now that paternity is confirmed or Nas isn’t protesting it, they should go back into talks and negotiate a new deal….child support is to support the child and ‘help’ out with the child’s up bringing, not to suport the mother in what she can or can not afford. 15% of this man’s salary is well over enough for the first half of this child’s life… as for the spousal support, yes they should determine that, but make that a seperate issue… because I think they need to take in consideration that she is an entertainer as well and she is still marketable. I’m truly beginning to think Kelis married Nas for financial security ONLY! It’s not that I don’t think she should get some support to get on her feet but it seems she is being rather greedy and truly is taking this poor me, I’m broke and “my survival depends on Nas” act to the edge! Besides she had a career the entire time married to Nas. So what happened to her money? Because according to Kelis…Nas was supporting her fully during the marriage! We should know better by now, if you marry someone who was living above there means when you met them you should rightfully assume that if or when you divorce you will be funding their lavish lifestyle. Actually…whatever amount Kelis receives for spousal support will only be temporary they were not married long enough for Nas to support her forever…no long term marriage (10 years or more)! She is going to get what the law allows which is 17% (or whatever NY state requires) of what the former husband’s earnings are. Even Kim Porter, who never married Diddy, got what she was entitled to by law as his children’s mother, which is why Misa took him back to court for an adjustment since Kim’s support was court-ordered. This is all about what women (or man) should get as the custodial parent. If you are smart enough to get married, you can get spousal support unless you refuse it. If you have means, you will pay child support regardless. I’m sorry, I don’t even have kids but I wouldn’t risk my child’s future on any person doing what they’re “supposed” to do. That’s why people get court orders. Kelis is asking for what is hers by LAW, that’s why you get married, dumbassses! And for those saying she needs to get a job, she’s bringing in over $13,000 a month. How many other women are earning that much? She’s hardly broke.

I think alot of these stars are looking for someone to take care of them, Lauren London, LaLa, Gabrielle Union, and more. I do not think they make as enough for their lifestyles so they prey on these men(atheletes, superstar rappers etc.) to get pregnant for security.

But I will say this, Kelis was Nas’ wife therefore I think she is entitled to at least half of his estate or a reasonable amount. We do not know why she was not working during their marriage, it could have been an agreement between him and her for her not to work. Nas made his bed now he has to lye in it. I do not feel sorry for him. Marriage should be for life and some people are really hurt when it does not last. I think it needs to more private then public because other races get what they are entitled to.
