Today is one of those truly special days. We lay to rest two men whose actions touched so many lives in such different ways. Michael, not only would today have been his fifty-first birthday but we hope a day when we can finally say goodbye and RIP. And Ted Kennedy, “The Lion” of the Kennedy family. A man whose personal pain, tragedy and weaknesses were always played out for the world to see. A man who was a champion for the weak and faceless. Two men who live their lives so differently but in the end so much alike. Michael Jackson helped to open up doors in the music world for many to step through. Ted Kennedy helped to open doors for those who desparately needed them open.
Two extra ordinary men….One, who we still feel left us too soon. The other, outliving all of his bothers and receiving the gift of aging; a headful of gray hair. Although they are both gone, their life and legacy will live on. May they Rest In Peace.

I can’t stop crying. Looking at photos of young Michael and hearing a J5 tune used to warm my heart and make me smile. Now, I still manage to smile but through tears. I still cannot believe he is gone. June 25 is one of the saddest days in my life. Not easy letting him go.

I never thought I could be so attached to an artist. I miss Michael so much and celebrating his birthday with him being gone made my heart so heavy Saturday.
Mike, you and your family have been the soundtrack of my life. You were like family to me because I was raised listening to you ALL my life.
