It’s official. 43 year old Halle Berry is 3 months pregnant with her and Gabriel Aubry’s second child–an insider confirms. People have been whispering for a while now–especially my keen-eyed YBF readers–that her belly’s been looking a bit preggers lately. According to Life and Style:
“Halle is overjoyed,” says an insider close to Halle and the baby’s father, model Gabriel Aubry. “The first time, she struggled so much to get pregnant and eventually conceived through in vitro fertilization. This time, the baby was conceived through artificial insemination.”
“She’s just ecstatic to be pregnant again,” the insider tells Life & Style. “She wasn’t sure if she’d have another baby, so she’s very happy!”

I had a friend who was 23 (like 6 years ago) when her mama just happened to get preggers for this NO GOOD (dude was how old still wearing cornrows) and mind you she had just bought a house (which of course he was lounging around in, no job) that her daughter was helping her make the pymts on. First house. Now she was 40+ thinking this shit was cute. That baby came out all types of wrong. Very sad.

I’m apologizing for the words I used. Yes, they were a bit harsh for a baby but I think I should be able to state my opinion like everyone else. Yes kids can look different when they grow up.
BTW I’m not preoccupied with outter beauty in kids. So if I had kids that looked just like Nahla, I wouldn’t have a problem with that. Just as long as I have a healthy baby is all that matters to me.

@robbie: that was a tad harsh. a lot of women have trouble getting pregnant. plus halle has diabetes and is AMA (advanced maternal age) so she may have had more difficulties than the average woman. but even so AI just means that she took his seed and had it placed in her to conceive. and i wonder why people do not like them as a couple. they seem happy together and she has been with him longer than any of the bruhs she dated or married. at least with this one he hasn’t hit her, cheated on her or tried to destory her in the public eye. also i don’t think she has ever claimed to be perfect or have the perfect life.

I remember that interview she had with Oprah. A series of unfortunate events has a way of shaping someone’s beliefs. A cheating, sex addicted husband who tries to ridicule and tarnish your name can change a person. I can only imagine.

Why does she have to get married? Or rather why are people hopeful she gets married? A marriage does not make a family nor does it “validate” for outsiders an existing one. It should be a choice, if two people wanna go get a piece of paper saying their bound to each other cool or if you’re religious and you wanna do that whole thing..that’s cool too, but it just seems condescending when people say they hope so and so gets married as if their family isn’t real without the paper.

Me too. How I long for the days when people would get married first and then procreate. I just can’t get with celebrating illegitimate births. I know she said she would never get married b/c of the past relationships and what ‘they did to her’, but I say nobody’s perfect and she obviously played a part in the break up. Let’s just be real about it. I like her as an actress, alright, but I don’t think the dirt’s out about the part she played in her past failed relationships. And I’m not hating on her, either. I just don’t think the past relationships are a valid reason for ruling marriage out, altogether.

I do understand people believe different things butI saw it as condescension because if two people are committed to one another and see no use for marriage, why isn’t that enough? Especially the way people nowadays get married one day and divorced the next month. I’m engaged and some days I have to remind my wedding happy mother that it’s simply a piece of paper and a party. The true marriage is of me and my fiance’s love and dedication to one another, with or without a paper it’s there.IDK to me I just feel that some people see marriage as the stamp of approval..when there’s people unmarried together for 30 years like my grandma and the man I consider my grandfather.
I didn’t say anyone specifically here did, but often times that is the argument I hear used when unwed people have families together. That’s all. I just don’t see the difference between a married family and unmarried family. I’d be lying if I didn’t admit the only reason why my fiance and I are getting married is because he’s a cop and they have weird rules about non married spouses.

some of you need to get informed and look up what AI (artificial insemination) is. it does not mean that he wasn’t or isn’t around. it means that they could not get pregnant the “normal” way but they had to use an alternative method. again i state that she has had problems with fertility and she had to go about having her family another way.
and with regards to marriage or no marriage what do you say to a man or woman who adopts a child? or to a woman who decides to use sperm b/c she is at an age where she is established and wants a child but has not found a husband? should that stop her from having a child? God will love that man or woman just the same regardless of if they are married or not. And I don’t think people are celebrating Halle they are celebrating the fact that she is having the miracle that is a “child”…. Just my opinion…

I fully agree. I find nothing wrong with marriage(if it happens for it then great it it doesn’t oh well) but let’s face it, it is not for everyone. If marriage works for you then do it but if your type of relationship/situation works for you then even better. Not everyone HAS to be marriage and I can see where Halle is coming from she tried with two marriages and it didn’t work for her.
