Jay-Z just SHUT IT DOWN last night with this concert…was one of the best live concerts I’ve EVER seen by a Hip-Hop artist…he’s the truth.
Beyonce let them know who was boss…she killed that in 2 minutes. Then walked off cuz she know she’s the ish. lol…Get it Bey.
Rihanna actually sounded decent for a change, that performance was really good too.
Mary also killed it…LOVED her performance.
And John Mayer was feeling that guitar…he was great.

Rihanna sounded the best I’ve heard from her live – this song fits her voice and styling…and it works whether she can “blow” or not – it works for the song.
and anyway – ou can’t compare Beyonce to Rihanna…if you haven’t figured it out by now they are completely different artists.
Rihanna’s more like a Santagold, or MIA than a Beyonce anyway…

The concert last night was fantastic. I was way up front and must say Jay never fails to disappoint. I re-watched it on Fuse when I got home and will say- had I stayed home to watch it the show would have seemed ‘boring’. Live is always better.
I agree with whoever said it is EXHAUSTING reading the B vs. Rhi nonsense. Two different artists. I have been to lots of Beyonce’s concerts and she is an entertainer who works the stage. I did not think about it at the time but I can see how folks would think the ‘airplane’ comment in her song Diva was out of place considering the reason for the benefit BUT she still bought the house down. Rhi DOES need to work on her stage presence. She did seem ‘off’ while Kanye and Jay were performing. She is still a young artist developing so I don’t begrudge her that. When Rhi can sell out the Garden then these debates will take on some significance. Until then let the girl grow as an artist until she finds her “swagger”. Right now she is rocking Jay’s and it’s not going to take her very far.

Ok I was actually at the concert last night and it was awesome. I mean the energy in the Garden could not be matched so for people to say Jay Z is not relevant anymore really shows ignorance. Fans have the biggest say in an artist relevance and the fans last night were our of their mind happy at that concert, myself included. Those who doubt Rhianna’s star status also need a reality check. The girl is not the most soulful singer but her voice carried through that arena last night and when I saw her last in the glow in the dark tour. It would make more sense if people said her voice was not thier preference but to completely say the girl cannot sing is an unfair assessment. Not everyone needs to perform like Beyonce to be relevant. Not everyone is into that type of performance. Everyone who performed did great, there were tons of firefighters and police officers in the audience who were very appreciative of Jay Z throwing the concert.

Rihanna was giving it last night and she sounded good. We all know she is not the best singer but her voice is unique and it works for her. I have always loved her music she makes hawt songs. Neither Brittany nor Madonna can sing but you dont hear YT folks screaming that every 5mins.

I give credit where credit is due and when she does something I like then I will give her a hand clap of praise otherwise I will critique her just like every other artist. Last night I felt her hair looked good and thats about it. I never liked the Diva song and I always feel that lately Bey dances way to hard or rather pops her back real hard and calls it dancing and her fans and stans go crazy but if anybody else popped their back on stage yall would call them out with a quickness. I believe she is doing Sweet Dreams 2morrow at the VMAs and I dont like that song or video so I doubt she will impress me then either. I do love the song n video for Ego (see I am not a hater :-)
Also I want ppl to think outside the box being a dancer is not the only way to perform. Akeys who I also STAN for puts on a GREAT show so does MJB if you need another of ex of somebody who isnt the best dancer but gives you your moneys worth in concert. I would go see Akeys or MJB any day over Bey.

Ok , maybe I was the only one watching the concert last night, b/c I feel that the show was a boot leg version of the fade to black live concert. It had the same songs, same people and Jay doing the same two step on stage. I felt like it was a rock concert more than hip hop. I didn’t like Jay having a snotty attitude as if he was God the entire time he was on stage. All he talks about is how much money he has. 1st off Rihanna did better than I expected she is still stiff as hell but it was a good performance. 2nd. Bey sounded good but was trying too hard w/ the dancing like she still has something to prove. She looked pissed and I believe it had something to do w/ Rihanna all up on stage with her husband with her ass out. (side note- I know Bey was backstage like oh hell no, I am the queen of no pants take my pants off I am bout to show this bitch!! She came out looking pissed while she performed and then just walked off stage with her 6 feet of hair and all and why Jay hugged everybody … EVERYBODY who performed BUT Beyonce. WTF these two are so Weird. I am private about my relationship too but they act like they don’t even sleep together sometimes. 3rd WTF was up w/ the fake ass Alicia Keys ? 4th. Why was there only one mention of the victims of 9/11 throughout the whole show. The whole show was about promoting Jay new CD and that new roc nation label. 5th. Why the hell was Memphis Bleek looking like a fake ass Dame Dash on stage? 6th. Why the hell did he bring Pharell out to do that old ass song instead of the new joint. 7th. OUT of everything. WTF was up with him saying I see you to EVERYBODY in the damn audience!! That was really strange. Ok I am done now, but I see why this damn concert was free, the only thing that saved it was my girl. I think that both Beyonce and Rhianna did a good job. They are not beefing with each other, only we are. Rhianna’s stage presence was a little lacking, but I think she still did a good job and she looked amazing. Beyonce looked great, although she looks a little smaller. I love when she is a little thicker. She sings phenomenally as usual and commands the stage.
Both ladies did a good job. I wish them both continued success. Jay-Z’s concert looked amazing and even though I’m not a big fan, I think it was really nice of him to put on this benefit concert for the 9/11 families of the victims.

But what would he have gained financially or socially then? Even in the beginning he reaffirms this by saying “in 2001 when the first blueprint came out, terrorists attacked NYC”. Highly unnecessary.Again, psychology,to link the album to Sept 11, a date people will never forget and rightly so. All this is about his album. I can smell his nonsense from a mile away.Pure malarkey.

Beyonce – You need to go and watch those planes crashing into the WTC and people leaping out of the burning building and realize how misplaced and innapropriate that set was. Actually the concert was only 54.00 across the board, so everyone could afford to go. You saw high prices on scalpers websites. They bought the cheaper tickets at $54.00 and resold them for those crazy prices. Jayz even spoke out and said how he thought it was a disgrace because the concert is supposed to be for charity purposes. Also Stub Hub made a press release stating they will not take any proceeds from those unlawful scalpers, and will put all of the money towards charity. Research before you call out someone, that concert was low price and for charity across the board.
The concert was amazing, one of the best I have seen, and on top of that Beyonce straight killed it, i also liked Mary’s appearance. Although I don’t see why ppl are getting on Beyonce for singing Diva when Mary J Blige performed her same song that night that said “You ain’t got nothin on me”, and the song is called number one. Yet she is pushing 40!!!! lol. People up here are funny, with double standards. Overall awesome show!
