Word has it Kanye West is headed to rehab soon:
According to Star, Kanye has been boozing ever since his mother Donda died one day after receiving a tummy tuck in November 2007.
An insider tells the mag, “His drinking is getting worse — and when he has too much, he can be mean and obnoxious. If he doesn’t get help soon, things could really spiral out of control.”

Allegedly he will be checking into a rehab facility as soon as his Fame Kills tour with Lady Gaga is over. I wonder if that bottle of Henny he was killin’ by himself at the VMAs set off a red flag…

Erykah Badu is headlining the Bermuda Music Festival next month on opening night Oct. 29th. And we sat in on her web conference call announcement this week as she talked about the Fest and her upcoming projects.
She also said she’s been in the studio in Dallas working on her next album New Amerykah Pt. 2- Return of the Unk releasing on her b-day Feb. 26th, 2010. She says about it:
“Wherever I am in life, is where I am in my music. It’s the emotional and right brain counterpart to New Amerykah pt. 1. It’s what I say in Amerykah like I was standing on an Apex, watching everything around me, like a commentary. Part 2 is emotionally where I am and spiritually and creatively. This one tells a biography of what I’m going through, what I see and what I’ve learned. When I listen to the albums, I can see how far I’ve come spiritually and mentally.”

ok let me address the haters. As one of the biggest Kanye fans, ill be the first to tell u Kanye was always an arrogant fcuk, even with Katrina and all that other ish before his mom’s death. He’s cocky and full of himself YET that’s what he was full of HIMSELF. So for him to come at Swift like that is just out of character. I expected him to say some dumb ish like he did at the MTV awards before when he didnt win but to come at her isnt his style. I am really starting to feel bad for Kanye. I wish people would get off his back and just let him get help. I know he has kind always been an ass, but I think with the passing of his mother has sent him over the deep end. I don’t think he ever really dealt with her death, he just went right back to work and he probably does have a drinking problem and it will only get worse if he doesn’t get help. I wish him the best.
Haven’t heard from Erykah in a minute (haven’t really been checkin for her either) but good for her either way. As for Breezy, good for him as well. Um…ok I feel ya on the Trey and CB are two completely different artist and all, cause they are. They are in two completey different lanes and they are not each others competition. But you can chill with all that other bullish you were spittin! Regardless of how you feel about CB and his music, he has FAR surpassed Trey (as far as success) in the music industry. CB reached international status in 4 short years! He has had SOLD OUT concerts in the US, Australia and the UK. Has Trey? CB has toured ALL over the world! CB has toured with Superstars such as Beyonce and Rihanna internationally and headlined his own tour here in the US. Trey, though very talentd, has not reached the status that CB has! Let’s be real! CB had made a name for himself long before Trey Songz was getting recognition! Best believe that boy has more than proven himself in this industry.

CB won artist of the year at the AMA’s in 2008 back in November (as well as two other awards that night) and has won 29 awards total (in four short years) including internationl awards. He is a also a song writer. CB writes for himself as well as others and has written many hits. His world wide hit, “Forever” he wrote and won a BMI award earlier this year for best song. The song was used for a Doublement commercial. How major endorsements and commericals has Trey gotten?
“Forever”, peaked at No. 2 in the US and reached No. 1 in New Zealand and Ireland and reached top 10 status in many other countries. “Disturbia” one of Rihanna’s biggest hits, he wrote, which peaked at No. 1 here in the US and was a international hit as well. ‘Stronger’ which he co-wrote with singer/song writer Esther Dean, and was recorded by Mary J., shows his strength as a song writer. You forget to mention that CB has been on damn all the major talk shows and morning shows and awards shows. He has been on Tyra, Regis & Kelly, Ellen, Oprah when he went to Africa with and performed for her school (long before the DV episode with him and Rihanna) He has performed on Good Morning America and The Today Show. He has performed at the Grammys, MTV Awards,Vibe Awards, Bet Awards, Essence Music Festival, AMA’s, World Music Awards (where he honored Mike by performing ‘Thriller’). Trey has been on what, 106 & Park and the Wendy Williams Show? Not exactly huge forums.
@ Stacy: Chris may have made headlines for his assault against Rihanna and he may be more infamous than he is famous, but he is talented none the less. You may not like Chris’ music or voice and you may perfer Trey’s music and sound, but it is obvious Chris has made a bigger impact and accomplished much more than Trey in his career. But they are both two very talented young men and they both should get the repect the deserve! You don’t have to bash CB in order to support Trey. Trey and CB are friends (remember they are both from VA) they have respect and support each other.
