This ish was over before it started. And Fame Kills ironically got killed. MTV is now reporting that Kanye West’s and Lady Gaga’s “Fame Kills” tour has been CANCELED! No reason has been given by tour promoter LiveNation just yet. The official press release states that folks can get refunds where they purchased the tickets.
Rumors about the tour’s possible cancellation have been swirling for days, largely related to the negative publicity stemming from West’s interruption of Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards last month. The tour, which West abruptly announced during a television appearance during the spring and was scheduled to launch on November 10 in Phoenix, was oddly not confirmed by either of the artists’ reps until mid-September.
Just last week, Gaga revealed details about the tour during interviews with Las Vegas radio station KLUC and San Diego’s Star 94.
Hmmm…maybe Kanye’s about to use his time to go to rehab/counseling/anger management afterall…

honestly, I understand that Kanye hasn’t had time to grieve, and I’m all for him taking time off to relax a bit, and although I don’t know the extent of his “drinking problem” and “anger management” issues, I can tell you that there are more ppl in the industry that need way more help then him. Ugh, so what he did was wrong by running up on the lil girl like that but who cares, its done n over with, 50 cent did that shit to evanescence in like 03, its been done, I don’t know why everyone cares so much. Get over it. Now this whole thing is snowballing into some bigger thing about him needing help, which I don’t particularly think he does, cuz Kanye’s always been overly ambitious, arrogant and pretty much out-spoken…dont act like ya’ll don’t know! This tour cancellation is nothing but divine intervention. Kanye is free fallin’ and if he doesn’t do something to turn this ish around right now, he’s going to become another sad tragic story of a talented musician who couldn’t exorise his demons and paid the ultimate price.
I too lost my mother suddenly and unexpectedly 4 years ago this November, and the feeling of listlessness and void is something I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. Fortunately, I didn’t have to grieve under the bright glare of the media and gossip blogs. I don’t think I would have made it….

ACTUALLY! When you think about it in a global sense instead of a United States of America sense, People of Color are the majoity. BUT People of Color are too busy trying to nitpick on who is and isn’t a person of color as well as too busy being predjudice against each other and in our own walks of life that we don’t see that we are the majority (Latin America, South East Asia, Asia, the Southern Pacific, Africa, some parts of the United States and some parts of Europe too)
Start thinking on a gobal sense, I feel like we are limiting ourselves to this American mind frame that we are the minority. We are doing a diservice to ourselves.

Being the huge Kanye fan that I am, I have to say I was literally almost in tears when I went to livenation yesterday and saw this. I was waiting for the tickets for Houston to go on sale in a couple weeks for his show in Janurary. I am happy that Kanye has decided to seek professional help in dealing with the problems he has going on internally (that is, if the rumors of rehab are true). I wish I would have gotten a chance to see him again in concert but I do understand that his mental health is more important. Another rumor that is going around is that Gaga pulled out. Honestly, that has got to be one of the dumbest things she could have done, speaking from a promotional point of view. Im not doubting that she can sell out a concert but she wouldnt make nearly as much money as she would if she was to continue to tour with Kanye. All the cities who had tickets for sale were already sold out completely. Im not a huge fan of Lady Gaga since her performance on the VMA’s. If it was me, I would have rode it out with him and did the show. She could use that extra fame and review do get her further in the music industry. I personally was going only to see Kanye.
Either way, I hope Kanye gets it together and comes back even better and stronger.

I have always said the same thing. I am a pretty large Kanye fan but he was like this before his mother passed. Its just that now, since her untimely passing, he has gotten a little worse. Nonetheless, still the same Kanye. He does need help though, he has to learn to deal with his issues and he has to address things instead of ranting about them. First things first though, he needs to get rid of a VAST majority of his “circle”. His girl and some of his “friends” need to go because they are poison in his life. IMO

Well people of color are not a monolithic group of people. We can identify any way we please. We are not all of the collective mind and that for many reasons can be a very good thing. Blame imperialism and colonialism for the shift in power.
Obviously there are more diverse races, ethnic backgrounds, and cultures that can totally be attributed to our human race, but we are talking about people of color and I forgot the middle east, what with all the billionaires they have over there.
The said thing is people don’t even see “black and white” anymore all they see is green.
We live in a capitalist society and it’s all about the money you can dish out. So even though it is safe to say that white people have most of the money and the majority of the power, people of color (from all “diverse races”) some of the money and some of the power (there is such thing as a black middle class).
I just think it’s dangerous when people speak in such general terms. Like that heffa that kept yelling about slavery.
