In breaking news tonight, “Atlanta Housewife” Kandi Burruss‘ fiance Ashley Jewell (AJ) was killed while at The Body Tap gentlemen’s club in Atlanta. We spoke with a few witnesses on the scene who tell us there was indeed a fight that broke out while AJ and other men were leaving. AJ ended up on the ground, and died on his way to the hospital.
The AJC has confirmed a man “died from a head injury sustained in the brawl” outside of Body Tap tonight. And Kandi’s publicist has confirmed the fatal incident as well:
Burruss’ publicist, Lisa Nelson, confirmed to WSBTV.com reporter Brian Johnson that the incident has left the Atlanta housewife stunned and speechless. Nelson, who represented Burruss during the taping of the show, told Johnson that the family is asking for privacy during this very difficult time.

An investigation is underway to determine exactly who did this to AJ and why. Incredibly sad news. AJ, who appeared on several episodes of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” with Kandi, leaves behind 6 children, family, and friends. Kandi recently spoke about them possibly calling off the engagement. My step brother lost his 3 month old Oct.2 to sids. It is so important 2 squeeze all the best of yourself in life & leave no space for negatives cause death is the certain thing. This is very sad news. Kandi just did an interview and her uncle that was also on the show (the episode where her mom made her cry about AJ in the kitchen with her aunts and the uncle) recently passed away too and was buried either the same day AJ died or the day before. I just have to say we have to squat things right. We have to learn to walk away. Just last night, I was behind this car and the woman driving apparently had her left signal light indicating that she wanted to park. I didn’t see the signal, so she couldn’t back into the parking space. Do you know she got out of the car and yelled at me. Who does that? What if I had gotten out of my car and screamed back? What if I had a gun? What if I had gotten out my car and sliced her up? Over a parking space (that she wouldn’t pack her big ass car into anyway). It’s not that deep.
Life is too precious for that bullshit.

For those who commented about how Kandi’s mom is feeling come on… please remember that Real Housewives is a reality TV show, where the directors have the right to edit and cut scenes and most of what we see was shoot months in advances some maybe the course of their relationship changed from what we see on tv up too this event. Although i was not a fan of their relationship and prior to reading this i saw kandy on the wendy williams show where she confirmed they were no longer together, so i know this is extremely difficult for her. She is dealing not only with his death, but the reason behind their breakup. i heard he was cheating on her, which may be why he was at the strip club. We as people need to learn how to deal with our emotions in other ways besides killing and harming others. I am so saddened by this news.I was about to marry the man of my dreams on 7/7/07 but he was killed while working on 2/7/07. In addition to the pain from losing him, I had to deal with his estranged family who treated me like an outsider as if I was nothing. I didn’t get a chance to pick out a tie for him and walked away from a four year relationship with nothing but my clothes. GOD worked it out for me even though I couldn’t understand why. This is the saddest news and it has broken my heart. I hold back tears as I write this post (something that I hardly ever do). I was watching Thursdays show (ATL Housewives) tonight and I was just saying how sweet AJ was to Kandi and I loved how he treated her. They were eating Sushi at a restaurant and she was talking about her showcase and he was so supportive. Then to open up theybf.com and see this story crushed me. It just shows you that you have to live right while you are here because tomorrow is not promised.
