Our friends over at WorldStarHipHop posted some interesting nuggets today:
Lamar Odom chatted with CBS about his marriage to Khloe K. I guarantee you he didn’t believe his own bullsh*t he was talking in this interview. Check it.
For all you folks missing “The King”, here’s T.I.’s “Behind The Music” that aired on VH1 last night:
Chris Rock on “Tyra” under the cut…
Chris Rock went on The Tyra show yesterday:
Raven Symone even came through to have some weavalicious fun.

Fri, October 9, 2009 11:44 AM
Oh em gee!!! I’m so sick of all these hair shows. Enough!
Fri, October 9, 2009 11:45 AM
why do people care who lamar married? not nan person on this site was checking for him so why care? if he and khloe got married that is their business. is it so hard to believe that maybe just maybe they are for real? i have known people to be engaged and married in just as short a time and they are still married. there is no time limit on an engagement. and if they are fake who cares… it is their life and their money so just let them be… hell stop asking them about it… that is what the problem is…
Fri, October 9, 2009 11:49 AM
Okay Chris..I mean ok. Enough is enough.
I can care less about Lamar Odom, it is what it is..
Fri, October 9, 2009 11:50 AM
Aww arnt you cute you dont’ seem to care about what anyone does, not really the best way to live. It is illrelevant and who does care the world cares thats why they’re still talking about it and your are on this site!! But on the for reals I cant even see it but I will when I get home, everyone knows most celebrities are a joke this is not different.. Next comedian to the stage
Fri, October 9, 2009 11:50 AM
Aaaaaah Tip Harris.. oh how I miss thy fine self. This video should keep me until release :)
I AM SO SICK OF LAMAR LAMAR LAMAR.. how’d he become so relevant, he’s so boring [and a dirty NBA player might I add].
Fri, October 9, 2009 11:55 AM
Not buying it… Lamar you definately need more people to believe you’re not fulla shit
Fri, October 9, 2009 11:57 AM
Good hair bad hair who gives a you-know-what right about now. Everybody gots something stuck up in their hair, white black it don’t matter. Do what every makes you happy and not what the media says you should do. Don’t be a follower be a leader in anything that you do. That’s what so great about being a woman you can have short hair one day and long hair the next. It’s not about sister’s wanting to look like white woman, that’s them talking and some sisters too. I guess when these white woman go out and get these ass shots and the bronze fake ass tans that they want to look like black woman, look like whoever you want to if it makes you happy.
Fri, October 9, 2009 11:57 AM
lamar odom made that shit up on the spot.. ive been watchin lie to me no one can fool me anymore he was lyin! chris rock is hilarious!!!! lol gotta ♥ him!
Fri, October 9, 2009 11:58 AM

Fri, October 9, 2009 11:59 AM
LMAO!!!! I do that all the time. And so does my mother… its like, “I watch Lie To Me…. I know your ass is lying”…. what are we? Ace VEntura Pet detective or inspector gadget?! LMAO
Fri, October 9, 2009 12:00 PM
Lamar Odom… side eye as in WTF????
Man T.I. is the realest…can’t wait til dude gets out and start doing shows again. Now that’s I show that need to sell out in 15 mins! We miss you bruh!
Fri, October 9, 2009 12:09 PM
I mentioned it before, I’ll say it again. I used to date someone like him, also rich, that wanted to be married yesterday. As if his life wouldn’t be complete without a woman. He was just ready to settle down, and it didn’t matter who. I caught on, and got out early. I think Taraji saw this in Lamar and ran away. Khloe is being naive. He will get bored and realize that a wife is just not an accessory. I guess they’ll learn the hard way. But I’m sure they’ll work on the baby; Khloe is going to lock that in, and cash out. What a mess. Lamar needs a psychiatrist, not a wife. He looks miserable.
Fri, October 9, 2009 12:09 PM
@TP u are so right. I don’t care what other people do. They aren’t living my life for me and I don’t live my life for them. I make deicisions that people may not agree with but at the end of the day it is my life so who cares if anyone else agrees with it. i just commented bc it is stupid to me that so many people care that they got married (for what reason who knows). it is their life so let them live it… if it is a better life to always care what other people do, then i will just stick with the dreadful (insert sarcasm) life i have…but as MJB says “i won’t change my life…i’m FINE”
Fri, October 9, 2009 12:11 PM
“I guarantee you he didn’t believe his own bullsh*t he was talking in this interview.”……..Ha!
Fri, October 9, 2009 12:20 PM
How is it that you get on a gossip blog and complain about people gossiping?!
Fri, October 9, 2009 12:20 PM
LMFAO!!! Chris is frikkin hilarious!!!!
I think it’s great that this whole hair issues is coming to the forefront. It’s a woman thing, not a race thing. Women in general spend way tooooo much time creating a new woman rather than accepting the beautiful woman they already are…
When I wore my weave, I LOVED IT! But now I’m all natural and I LOVE IT MORE! Just like these women who wear the whole MAC counter on their face. Give it rest ladies!! It’s fun being a woman, but give it a rest sometimes.
If makeup was breaking you out in horrendous huge pizza face pimples, you’d stop wearing the makeup… why not do that when a perm is literally frying your hair, melting away the cuticle, and you would rather DIE than have anyone see you without your weave, you need Jesus!!
Fri, October 9, 2009 12:21 PM
LMAO @ Chris Rock! He said maybe if Lady Gaga learned to sing she wouldn’t need to hide under all of those costumes!
PROPS TO TYRA MAKE UP ARTISTS AND STYLISTS! They sure as hell can “beat the face” and do some hair. First Lil Mama, now Raven! Tyra got good people on her said. Raven look so freaking pretty!
Fri, October 9, 2009 12:22 PM
Lamar definitely needs more people…didn’t anyone ever teach him about making eye contact??? Good grief!
Fri, October 9, 2009 12:22 PM
* side not said. oops!
Fri, October 9, 2009 12:22 PM
Ok, first of all i could care less about lamar odem. The tyra inteview was funny as hell. Raven looks amazing and i just like the fact that she is comforable enough in her own skin. Tyra looks so much better with her natural hair, and chris was right when he said that she is more confident, you can see her glow.
Fri, October 9, 2009 12:26 PM
I like Lamar and Khloe as a couple, but im getting sick of hearing about them. They are not A,B,C, or D list. Kim and Reggie as well
Fri, October 9, 2009 12:28 PM
that is what I will never understand for the life of me. You should come to the Rih and Bey posts.
Fri, October 9, 2009 12:29 PM
I can’t see the video but if you have ever seen Lamar Odom give an interview on TV he always does that — rolls his eyes up in his head and seems a bit uncomfortable. Great speaking voice but he does needs a coach. It seems you guys are reading way too much into this situation. It is is what it is and they both may prove everybody wrong. I’ve known people to marry just as quick. Khloe and Lamar will do just fine. Personally they both look happy and I wish them well!
Fri, October 9, 2009 12:30 PM
sure dont.
I swear her last post was MJ died.
Fri, October 9, 2009 12:30 PM
LMFAO!!! Chris is frikkin hilarious!!!! And Tyra is a damn fool! And Raven is FIERCE!
I think it’s great that this whole hair issues is coming to the forefront. It’s a woman thing, not a race thing. Women in general spend way tooooo much time creating a new woman rather than accepting the beautiful woman they already are…

Fri, October 9, 2009 12:44 PM
not complaining… but most of the comments aren’t gossip… they are negative and deragatory statemnets…simply saying… i am so surprised that what i said touched a nerve with people… laughable… it is what it is… like i said before and i will reiterate… doesn’t really matter to me either way… gossip away (if that is what you call it)… no hard feelings. i am not the one to argue with anyone on a blog so i am out… well at least for this post…
Fri, October 9, 2009 12:50 PM
WOOWW RAVEN LOOKS SOOO PRETTY. THAT VID WAS FUNNYYYY
Fri, October 9, 2009 1:09 PM
Raven is so funny and honest. I love her.
Fri, October 9, 2009 1:10 PM
Dont even wanna hear Lamar…And im tired of Tyra alien looking self preaching about weave and real hair…Bish just started showing her real hair the other…ok we get the point!!!
Fri, October 9, 2009 1:12 PM
Is it me or is the this whole hair thing just stupid. Women please “do you”, whatever makes you comfortable and happy. I mean really Oprah and Tyra with the whole “this is my hair” is stupid, they both have been wearing weaves and wigs for years, so that their natural hair had the ability to grow like that. I have worn a weave for years and I am a black girl with regular hair hanging down my back and when anyone asks me how it got that long, I tell them I wore a weave for years. who the hell cares, please lets try to examine something of substance people.
Fri, October 9, 2009 1:13 PM
I’m not feeling the “Good Hair” movie. I saw a preview of it and it makes us black women look like idiots, as if weave runs our lives and we should be singled out for it because no other race does it (???????, I’m being hella sarcastic with that one). If this is an answer to Chris Rock’s daughter’s perception – ok – write an article about it then FULL STOP. No need to make a movie about it, interview people across America about it as if it is the second coming to black women. Its not that deep. I wear a weave, so what – Its not something i think about, it does not consume my life, it does not influence my sex life (hell – what woman, either fake or real hair wants to do it after they’ve just gone to salon – NO ONE!!!!) This is crap – just another reason for people outside of our race to think they can use this as a quick tutorial about black women and I AM NOT FEELING IT – joke’s over.
I cannot belive Al Sharpton and his RELAXER had the nerve to make an appearance in this. As far as that fat fried chicken eating muthaf**** in the barber shop talking ish about women and fake hair – your ass probably can’t even get a beautiful woman. You’re probably dating those fat – fake $20 Korean wig wearing bitches that hang out at the corner and drink Crown Royale.
Fri, October 9, 2009 1:15 PM
IT WILL END UP LIKE KIM’S FIRST MARRIAGE
Fri, October 9, 2009 1:22 PM
TYRA…I LOVE U but shut u mouth……….bout u dont use the full strength of relaxer..u texturize…….tryna make it sound better…..u relax ur hair..u almos seem shame of it to even say something like that..
Fri, October 9, 2009 1:39 PM
I TOTALLY AGREE, I THINK THEY NEED TO TALK ABOUT IT BECAUSE BLACK WOMEN ESPECIALLY HAVE MAJOR ISSUES WITH HAIR AND IT TOOK A MAN TO DISCUSS THE ISSUE. I REALLY APPRECIATE THIS MOVIE, I AM ALSO A FELLOW NATURAL
Fri, October 9, 2009 1:42 PM
YEAH i’m save my cooments on this HAIR Movie un til i see cause i just don’t know, But i really did not think this weave or no weave was a issue hell been putting weave in y hair since the 90’s but i also wear my own now i love wigs whats the bif deal. But like i new when i saw this movie coming out i was going to get questioned by my white co workers, lol & it happen today i just said watch the movie, lol Question who is this movie for?
Fri, October 9, 2009 1:48 PM
Exactly, white women are flocking, and he never covered the issues that they have with hair and everything else fake (breast, lips, etc). I have very long hair and do you know how mant ignorant white folks approach me asking is that my hair, it is annoying. And why the hell do we always need to explain ourselves to them. Trust me, black women didnt need a whole damn movie about black hair. It didnt educate us one bit, just more fodder for other stupid people. Especially the black girls will get a weave before paying their rent, sounds like a fox news talking point.
Fri, October 9, 2009 1:52 PM
You are a right it’s a woman thing not a race thing, but HE made it a race thing. Its all funny until you get insulted by other folks. Dave Chapelle thought some of those antics were funny until he found out white people were laughing at him, not with him. I just think black women have soo many things that could be highlighted than how you choose to wear your hair.
Fri, October 9, 2009 1:53 PM
You know what – you care too much about stupid things for you to say you really appreciate someone coming out with a movie to discuss black women and hair. People are going to go to the movie and laugh and that’s it – nothing will be resolved so what the hell are you talking?????? I am also assuming that because you felt the need to say you are a “fellow natural” – your reasons for going to the movie would not be to learn but to laugh at other women who wear weaves. I guess this movie will make you feel really good about yourself, huh??? get over yourself – only ignorant people that do not care about REAL issues think this is an issue. This is a COMEDY – its not a dramatic depiction of what black women go through so stop making it seem like it should go down a significant black movie and it will make a difference.
Fri, October 9, 2009 2:09 PM
Lamar, swivelling your eyes around in your head and talking out the side of your mouth doesn’t convince anyone you’re talking about your true love. Damn puppet!
Fri, October 9, 2009 2:13 PM
Please say it again!
Fri, October 9, 2009 2:24 PM
This was a very good segment of Tyra!! I was laughing the whole time!!
Fri, October 9, 2009 2:33 PM
I can understand the Z list actresses taking part in the good hair movie but I’m not quite sure what motivated Nia to do it. Nia – you have worked too hard and for too long to use your acting chops for this. Leave these types of movies to the video hos turn movie actresses. You should be thinking Oscar bound, critically acclaimed, Broadway theatre, etc, etc. Not this CRAP. Dissapointed in you Nia. Really dissapointed. SMH.
Fri, October 9, 2009 2:36 PM
ITA cuz the majority of us is not runnin out spending or rent, food, diaper money on weaves! SMDH! I DO NOT like being protrayed like that and put on blast like that. Why? how bout we bring to lite how much white women are spending on botox, lip/but injections and tan’s. I dont see no one making a movie about that anytime soon!
Fri, October 9, 2009 2:54 PM
It was. Ima watch her show at 3
Fri, October 9, 2009 3:09 PM
I think the sun burnt man who was nodding like his neck was itching was the most entertaining part of the video.
Fri, October 9, 2009 3:38 PM
Lamar Odom sounds slow..He’s like Bobby Boshay…..Dumb ass hell but in can ball.
Fri, October 9, 2009 3:47 PM
Hahahaha on the Odom interview!!!! MAN PLEASE they are so compatible… you really know that in three weeks! I give them Two more months! LOL
Still love my T.I.
Can’t wait to see GOOD HAIR…I hope they highlight some Black owned Beauty Supplies…We need to support our own in a 9 Billion Dollar Industry!
Fri, October 9, 2009 3:58 PM
You sound really silly. Just because people are still married doesn’t mean they are happily married. I know several women who have been married for over 20 years, and they are miserable. There is a time limit for engagements. Engagement means you get to know the person you are marrying. That’s common sense. When one gets married, they are making a vow to a person for a “supposed” lifetime. Marriage is nothing to play with. When one considers getting married, they should at least go through the seasons with that person, meaning, knowing how that person is in different circumstances. You should become friends with your mate, and you can’t do that overnight.
Secondly, blogs are for people to comments and state their opinions. Whether or not Lamar and Khloe make it doesn’t mean one damn thing to my life or anyone else’s, but people still have an opinion, so get off your high horse, okay.
Fri, October 9, 2009 4:03 PM
I think you are giving yourself more credit than you deserve. You touched nerves all right – everyone’s last nerve. If you don’t like the comments, bounce, baby. It’s a free country. People discuss issues and have opinions. Get over it and get a life. Moving on.
Fri, October 9, 2009 4:07 PM
raven looked FIERCE!
get it girl.
Fri, October 9, 2009 4:18 PM
Get a tampon.
Fri, October 9, 2009 4:44 PM
Lamar Odom, “And then like… a real man, when he wants something he keeps it next to him”….LMAO
He cannot be serious or the clown interviewing him….Epic Fail!
Fri, October 9, 2009 5:44 PM
Did I hear Lamar mention that he was “spiritual”??? Where the flip was all this spirituality when he was knocking up his babies mother without a ring. He’s full of ish. Talking that, as a real man I want to keep what’s important to me close to me, blah blah blah. What about your children??? I know they didn’t have a chance to get to know her in 30 days even if he did. Now, they have some big *ss armanian chick for a step mom that they don’t know from a can of paint. He needs to be slapped!
Fri, October 9, 2009 5:51 PM
Stop playing!!! You know when most men get married they don’t think a rats ass about their kids!! LMAO… One more thing what relationship is not good in the 1st 30 days? In the first 30 days you still have you good face on getting to know one another of course they seem like your dream woman/man…..
Fri, October 9, 2009 6:14 PM
Why are black women getting so defensive about this movie?
Fri, October 9, 2009 7:30 PM
My only problem is, if black women’s hair is seen as an issue and something that should be addressed, it should be done in a different way. Chris Rock is a comedian, and people will go to the movie theatre to laugh, and guess what, now black women’s hair will be the talk of the town, whether it’s real, or if a black woman has long hair, it’s automatically seen as weave or wig or the trauma black women go through to have supposely, “good hair”. Honestly, non-black women will subconsciously feel superior or they have better advantage, I wouldnt say it, if I didn’t already experience it.
Black women’s hair is something that I believe should be addressed, but I do think the movie will not help in any way but add to the problem.
Also, wearin weave, wig or perming your hair should not be the problem, but the shame, insecurity, low-self esteem, not feeling accepted, the good hair mentality, the pressure to do these things because you want to feel accepted by the society, should be addressed.
I also believe it is deeper than just doing a movie that exposes black women’s hair, but at the same time maybe it will force black women not to be so tied to their hair or spend so much money on their hair. Many black women are enslaved to their weaves, wigs, and perming. I hope they can come to see that they can be beautiful also with wearing their hair natural, in spite of what the society will say or think. It’s all about a woman’s inner beauty.
Fri, October 9, 2009 8:44 PM
Is it just me! or all these brother’s lived a troubled life. I dont understand why all them dealt with drugs, guns ETC. It seems none of these rapers had a o-k-a-y life! its sad.
Sat, October 10, 2009 12:07 AM
Cece i couldnt have said it better. Thanks.
Sat, October 10, 2009 4:12 AM
I have mixed feelings about the film. I agree with the others who stated Chris Rock is a comedian. Naturally it was produced in a way to make people 1.)Laugh and 2.) I guess be informed. This is yet another production which I think has good intentions but will end up making black women or our hair an anomaly. Bottom line women want to be beautiful, regardless of race. I think uncovering the psychological issues as regards ideas of beauty, what makes someone beautiful would be a more interesting topic of documentary to invest in.
There is a black hair documentary, My Nappy Roots which I think takes a more fair and academic approach to the history of black hair and how some of us ended up with esteem issues tied to our hair, which ultimately caused conformity and in turn damage to our hair. Good hair is hair that is healthy and nurtured. Whether that hair is healthy under a weave or wig, relaxed, or out and natural doesn’t matter. At the end of the day women should do what makes them feel comfortable and confident.
Sat, October 10, 2009 6:10 AM
Good Point. They ran out of issues with real substance! So now what, does this mean that no woman is ever going to wear weave again? I think not.
Sat, October 10, 2009 9:16 AM
i really wanna see Good Hair… I’ve always been told I have good hair, But its all in how u care for it right… Its gonna be interesting to see though alot more issues than just hair within the black woman realm … RAVEN is gorgeoussss and we know that lil Olivia from Cosby show has good hair!!
Sat, October 10, 2009 11:05 AM
Has anyone noticed that only in the black community is it ok to ask offensive ?s about our culture, I don’t understand why everyone has to know everything about black people. I was watching Tyra and a white woman said to her ” I’m confused, when you revealed your real hair I heard that it wasn’t exactly your real hair because it was relaxed, what does that mean?” I was offended because why do we have to explain everything about our culture. Only in the black community everyone has an opinion. You don’t see black people asking white people why do white boys have white girl hair dos. You don’t see people asking Asians why alot of them have the same exact hair do. Only in the black communtiy. Everyone knows each culture is different. We as black people need to just embrase each other and love how different we are, and stop hating on other black folks because not only do we have other races baggin on us, we bag on each other. Its sad, I see the black race falling apart and it breaks my heart. I thing good hair will be a way to make black women not feel they need to compete with other nationalities because are hair is different. To me whether your hair is curly or straight, whether your light or dark, BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL!!!
Sat, October 10, 2009 11:44 AM
hahahha@the reporter saying “I can see the sincerity in your eyes” okaaaaaaaay George Bush. WOW! That was the weirdest comment ever. And Lamar…I just can’t. lol
Sat, October 10, 2009 12:46 PM
Good hair is HEALTHY HAIR ..period. End of discussion as far as im concerned.
Sat, October 10, 2009 7:11 PM
Definitely enjoyed the documentary on T.I. I even watched a few episodes of the “Road to Redemption”. If he really “gets it” now, it will be in his actions onces he is out of jail. That will be the true test that I am waiting on. Not only has he escaped serious injury from being involved in the drug world and the fight that killed Philant, but even the just system is giving this guy break after break(sentenced to 72 months and you spend 7 in jail!)I look forward to seeing if he and Mike Vick can both be productive, law-abiding citizens now. I know we are all human and all make mistakes, but I have never been to jail so there’s no excuse that others can’t live their lives without continuing to make the same mistakes that end them up in the same situation! GOOD luck FELLAS!
