Don’t blame Atlanta or the south in general for “killing Hip Hop” blame the consumers. The consumers choose to buy watered down commercializd hip hop so that is what you will see artists giving. The south is home to some of the greatest musicians the rap game has to offer (Outkast, Goodie Mob, Scarface, etc) who are just as lyrically profound as rappers from other regions. Also the south does not hold the patent on songs with nonsensical lyrics (have you heard Jim Jones “Na Na Na Na Na”…ain’t he from Harlem)? I agree with the above to quotes. From NY lived in ATL for school. The current media (music, tv , news etc) is not accuurately potraying ATL and Atliens in the same respect that media is not potraying black accurately. That is not accidents trust me. Think about this very carefully and realize that this has nothing to do with ATL killing hip or the south. All thouse connery artist seem to primarly conform their we have been slowly condition to accept this and want this. Then we blame one another and says who fault it is. There 1st have to be a study to fit the agenda. Then a producers pitches the idea. Then it has goes to several board meeting ,voted on. Then edited to meet the committee agenda. Then it is scripted then that is reviewdd changed edited. Then their is a cast call, production. There also funding through these commerical who also have input. Then finally aftertr months it crafed and edited and sold in a neat package for us to crafted.. You think the only images we are soldon bet are accident. OF course the majority of the performacing are of rappers who have ridcuolously long rap sheets, and of Gucci Mane 3x when he just a fugustive give u me and our kids something to look up 2.
