She says the media has been lying about her and trying to bring her down. The thing is, Tameka, your own ex-husband has spoken more negatively about you TO the media than a blogger has in a long while. Media and such have talked about what your own ex-husband has put out there TO the public. When your ex-husband puts out an entire song about your marital woes, goes to the media with his 911 call and story about you wildin’ out trashing his car, and he’s publicly toting around a new boo months before he divorces you, how does that make a blogger the culprit? After listening the song several times, I can actually understand what Usher is trying to say, he’s not blaming her for all the changes in his life after he married her, but more disappointed that he took this big risk to be with her and she never turned out to be worth the sacrifice.

lol.. Putting a song out about whatever you’re going thru in your personal life is not “speaking” about your ex. Marvin Gaye dedicated a whole album to this same thing…. So I don’t understand why Usher is getting slammed for doing the same. Many entertainers sing about their life experiences, Usher is no different. If this is what he is gone through, why would he sing about happy go lucky days or what have you? I’m sure some of the songs stem from personal experience & others are hyperbole. Like he stated he did with Confessions as well, but no one was trying to hear when he said it was not about his relationship with Chili. Media thinks what they want.. And he has yet to speak on his album, the divorce, his kids, or the single or even do any interviews at all. So with that said, not sure what kind of publicity he is going for. It’s neither Tameka or Usher’s fault that the media is nosy and dug up a 911 phone call placed a month ago. No one said that it was a “publicity stunt” when TMZ went and obtained the police reports from the Chris Brown/Rihanna case or when they got her pictures from the police.
Now..onto Tameka, at least she looks cute here.. but I really wish she’d quit being so fame hungry. It’s not a good look and probably what caused their marriage to fail anyway. To those who said she “kept it cool” during their marriage… clearly not the case. He has been seeing her since 2006, and right soon as they were engaged she was every where on his arm. I guess you can’t expect much more from a blog site. But talk about contridiction. 90% of the people on here ride with Mashonda but hate on Tameka. And have done so from the beginning. This woman had NEVER spoken publicly. This is the 1st time many of you have even heard her speak. Don’t know her ’spect through what’s written in blogs and othe tabloid outlets and photographs. Yet there is SO MUCH angst towards her. I think it’s totally based on she wasn’t what ANYBODY expected the golden boy to end up with. And I do agree with her that there is ALOT of self hate amoung black women.
She’s dark, with non-europen features with kids. Like half of the sisters I know! And I guess for the public that’s not good enough for one of there idols. Dude been photographed with HIS jump off without HIS divorce being final (like Swizz & Alicia) where’s the out cry?
Give this woman a break. I mean what do you REALLY know about her other than what you’ve read & pictures.

It is a shame of some of the things I’ve read about Tomeka on these blogs.
Since Tomeka came to light, with her relationship with Usher, she has been judged and ridiculed unfairly. This is because she married the most sought after black man in America and Internationally. I must say myself Usher is fine as hell, oh how I wish it was me…Since marrying Usher she has been attacked and treated most harshly, not by the media, but by her own community of African-American/blacks. What is really sad is that these bloggers don’t really know her or anything about her relationship with Usher, all judgements, etc. are assumptions and opinions. Like Steve Harvey said, “These people don’t even know me”.
Tomeka has been right all along, she said once if she was white many black women, media, and bloggers would not be reacting and judging her if she was a white womman. That is the same sentiment for First Lady Michelle Obama. Since President Obama has been in office blacks have been attacking him, his wife, and their children, because they are black and in the White House. We as blacks have consistently peddeled negativity towards them since they came in office; it is called siding with white folks. We don’t want the white folks to think we are a proud race and we love ourselves and our accomplishments. We have so much self-hatred of ourselves that we can’t stand to see ourselves in any positive light, this is because of years and years of slavery, brainwashing, oppression, etc. We were taught to hate being black – to hate ourselves.
Tomeka is a beautiful black woman and the union between her and Usher produced two beautiful handsome boys. Tomeka tried to show the world something and we as black and the world failed, including Usher. The truth is Usher is a falandering womanizer, but I do commend him on trying to do right and marry a black woman, I guess he got that out of his system and now he can go on a be with all the white women of the world.
I would not be surprised if he started dating white women exclusively. Which most black famous men do anyway. This brings to mind Terrel Owens who has two black women goones by his side while he goes about trying to find the perfect white woman.
Tomeka, you keep doing what you do.

Look – don’t even start that – do not compare Tameka’s 15 minutes to the love and admiration people have for the Obama family. Do you know ONE political figure who EVERYONE loves – that no one has issues with – NO – so why is it such an issue that some may have an issue with Obama. Stop putting a magnifying glass on black people that do not like Obama. A lot of people in general do not like Obama – SO WHAT!!!! He was still voted president right?? (which means he has enough support to wash out the others) and BO and the first lady are still making progress with the people that support them (mainly African-Americans). If what occurred in Usher’s marriage discourages him from the black women, then so be it. Ain’t nothing better or finer than a black woman. Its just something about us and any black man that prefers the white woman,more power to them. But in my opinion, they’ll always be lacking something. And this is coming from a woman who has more white friends than blacks and who has also dated outside her race. (Learned my lesson quick) No hate, just truth.

And she is absolutely lying about the whole WENDY WILLIAMS incident. She KNEW who Wendy was and the whole theme of Wendy’s show. Who is she kidding? She did whole lot of explaining to this guy about the incident that in her mind was really nothing. If it was harmless, then why all the BS and lengthy response? Unless of course that was a planned publicity stunt that her and Usher agreed upon. Nothing surprises me.

Seriously, I haven’t left a comment before, but I just couldn’t help myself. What is the problem??? Why does it feel so good for women to dog other women over men. This is absolutely ridiculous. All women do it but black women are the worst. By the way, we (black women)are losing out on married life at alarming rates. No other race of women have as many single mothers, women, as we do. If you are wondering why– look at the comments above and you will understand. The reason we can’t find love and marriage is the same reason black women attack other black women so harshly. Black women don’t love themselves. I was taught a confident women doesn’t have to hate(put down)another women because she is confident in herself. Anyhoo, my first reaction to Tameka was wow, she looks great and I need those boots. I do commend her for not bashing her ex like some of us bash our own exes. I don’t know that I would be that mature if I had the opportunity to tell the world how I was wronged by my ex. I do think she is in a bit of denial, but when you love hard, that love doesn’t just go away. Especially when you have children with someone, I don’t doubt she will ever NOT have love for Usher.

People, let me educate you on how divorces are done in the state of Georgia. The state of Georgia DOES not require a legal separation prior to filing for divorce. A couple can be divorced in Georgia in 30 days – from beginning to end. With that said, Usher didn’t have to wait a “specific” amount of time to file for divorce after a legal separation. If in face, the song “Papers” was written 8 months ago, it is possible that the song had nothing to do with Tameka. Let me repeat an uncontested divorce in Georgia can be granted by in judge in 30 days.

Judge another beautiful black women(very harshly) for no reason at all. I don’t need an expert to explain stereotypes and realities that are out there about black women because I am one. You don’t need someone to tell you what is blatanly in your face everyday. Unless you are ignorant to the fact that black women and all women hate on each other every day and mostly something to do with a man.
