Here we go again. First FeFe Dobson jacking accusations, now this. One of our loyal YBF readers sent over some pics that made us go Hmmmm. An up and coming singer named Eva Simons–we’ve never heard of her but others apparently have– posted some photoshoot pics several months ago on her myspace page. Our reader noticed the striking similarities between those pics and Rihanna’s new promo pic and sent us a Swagger Jacker Alert. Here’s Eva’s pics:

Another random tidbit: Eva is reportedly the original singer behind “Silly Boy”, even though people thought it was Rihanna or Lady Gaga.
In other Rih Rih news, she’s been confirmed to perform for the 2009 American Music Awards. Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, and many others will be performing as well and it airs live Nov. 22nd on ABC. Rih is set to shoot the video for “Russian Roulette” in the next few days. Producers Stargate also confirm the track “The Wait Is Ova” (produced by them of course) will be her second single releasing in a few weeks.

The reason that no one really seems to swagger jack Beyonce is because her style is all that original. Be honest what about Beyonce is something that we haven’t seen before by many female artist both black and white? As far as Rhianna is concerned yes anything that she does that look vaguely similar to anyone else style is going to be scrutinized because she goes for a more distinctive look. Those looks are more easily recognizable if the are copied or if someone does something similar. The hair styles are similar, but I first saw this style a couple of years ago, so they both jacked someone else and that someone else was a man.

@ Okay kanye, I disagree, Rihanna has the IT factor, the reason is because if she didn’t, she would not have made it, no matter what def jam did. You all keep saying her first two albums didn’t sell. That is far from the truth, because her first album produced pon the replay that was #3 on the charts when it came out. It was a club banger, and was played throught the summer. Her Second Album was successful as well with hits like SOS and Unfaithful. The Song SOS was when people started to take notice of her in the game, and then her Third album was what put her over the top. This showed that rihanna was growing as an artist from her first album to her third. Don’t try to downplay her success by saying she’s cute, because there are lots of cute people out there that don’t make it and some not so cute ones that do. She came on the scene solo no girl group, no underground buzz, no mickey mouse clubs, no formal training, no commercials, just a little unknown island girl, so I think she did pretty well for herself.
