Im with Jayz!! 100%. Think about it. Jay z basically carried this guy on his back his entire life… he gaves him opportunities to prove himself as a rapper and a business man. Although I do agree with what Jay said about people taking responsibility for their actions, I still think Jay Z is triflin’. The only reason why half of yall are even agreeing with him, is because Jay has the gift of the gab, which is what makes him a good “businessman.” Jay is able to say things that put people on his side, but he is an arrogant asshole who based on his deeds, doesn’t deserve the success he has. Just me – I hear what you are “trying” to say but one thing you need to cut out is this “African American way” so called definition. I work in corporate with nothing but whites and they will cut each other down/out at the drop of a dime to get ahead. Its not the “black way”, its the “business way”. I don’t know what you do or what type of business you’re in but in the real world its every man (and woman – trust me, I know) for themselves when you are dealing with a lot of money. I know that YBF is the typical place where black people like to take jabs at each other and make generalizations to make a point but really think about what you are trying to define first. This is the way business works with every race. I’m not sure if you all know much about corporations, but it’s quite common for a business owner to sell their company and as part of the deal, remain an executive or retain a controlling interest in the company. Therefore, Jay selling Rocawear and yet having some control is a normal business move. When you don’t have enough liquid assets to make necessary changes to your company, it makes sense to sell to a larger corporation or become a subsidiary to a larger corporation. The fact that he’s retaining an interest in the company suggests this was the situation.
I’d also like to ask those who are taking Beanie’s side on this issue to think about this:
Also, how many business owners give their employees multiple opportunities after they continually have issues with the law? – Don’t expect Jay to do it differently, how many of you would?
And on a personal note, how many of you have had friends who just couldn’t keep themselves out of trouble, and you had to limit your friendship? And recall that millions of dollars weren’t involved in your friendships. Jay-Z did more then enough for Beans.

Yea, they gave Beans a clothin line and etc, but Beans said in his interview they did so to pacify him, one. Two, no one showed him how to manage it all, when jay did.
