Jay-Z hit Toronto yesterday to do some BP3 press. He hit the MuchOnDemand show and then hit the stage last night with a surprise appearance from the hometown hero Drake:

Hov’s wife Beyonce is set to do a Thanksgiving night special for all her fans. On Thursday, November 26, at 9 p.m. on ABC, you can get your turkey on, then watch behind the scenes and concert footage from one of B’s intimate “I Am” concerts at The Wynn in Vegas.
Interestingly, she’s releasing her I Am DVD 3 days before called “I Am…Yours. An Intimate Performance at Wynn Las Vegas.” The vid is above.

As reported last week, friends of Paula Patton and Robin Thicke told media sources that the couple is expecting. And now, Robin’s mother Gloria Loring confirmed on Facebook to her fans (she’s a singer as well) that her daughter and law and son are indeed expecting:
“I am going to be Nana Gloria again,” writes Loring, “as my son Robin Thicke & his wife Paula are expecting their first baby!” What happy news!

I swear I was watching “This Is It” and thinking “Beyonce will do this next…but YES, I’ll be watching. I think more people need to see the process of entertainment and not just the glamour and glory, then maybe more people would be inspired to be better.
I hated the last B album, though, I just wish she would dig deeper into her own soul and find a place that reflects the more coherent direction of the first two CD’s. And maybe, yes, take a break, and live a life out of show business and maybe come with some richer material.

She is a talented singer. That is clear. I believe in giving credit where credit is due. I wholly agree with what you said. Her take on success is I got to be every goddamn where and do every goddamn thing. I really find that to be her most annoying attribute. They are trying to equate her to Micheal Jackson which is the most ridiculous thing ever and i’m sure Micheal is somewhere amused by that. Everything Micheal was everything original. He earned every ounce of success and credit he got plus more. For me Beyonce is pure commercial. She wants her hand in everything, wether she is talented in that area or not. I find it so hilarious that everyone is still hating on Drake. No real reasons especially.. just random comments like ” I just don’t like him”, no breakdown of his songs, wordplay delivery, nothing.. you know things that you should really rate a rapper on. Be honest with yourself and name 5 artists at this point on the come up that have the potential that dude has… To be a force, in not just music, but the film industry as well as being a actual brand. Yes I know it may seems that he’s overexposed and all over the place but you have to consider that when our all time greats where at this stage their careers, we didn’t have the accessibility we now have with Drake and his career, all we had was what The Source, XXL and a few other media outlets really had to say.. you never had this sort of frenzy surrounding an artist on the come up like this ever.. No matter what it is, too much of it is going to have a negative effect at some point… All I’m saying is judge the music and find real reason to like or dislike Drake. Please don’t insult me. I don’t find Drake all that talented as a rapper or an actor. He is decent but nowhere near the level that people hype him up to be. His wordplay is mediocre, his flow is slow, and his singing is atrocious. I could continue but my opinion just like yours, don’t amount to much.
Most people like him, I don’t. And just for the record, I don’t think highly of Beyonce, Rihanna, Kanye, Lil Wayne or Trey Songz either. We all have different tastes in music. That does not make me a hater just because I would never support these particular artists. It just means I’m not a fan.

It’s funny how the critics dogged Mariah about her lack of acting skills as well in her first movie “Glitter” now look at her performance years later in the upcoming movie “Precious”….Simply Amazing. I’m so tired of seeing Jay-z and Beyonce everywhere. I know the whole concept of Hova, and Bey being a goddess is doing everything to remain the power couple. They need to take a break, and focus on other things. Honestly, I just respect when artists don’t try too hard to be noticed or be a legend, but it just happens naturally. I will say M.J., and Sade Adu are the two I can think of right now.
These two people, I mean it’s not even like their songs are all that. The hype is always temporary. True artists and legends, their songs will be played and appreciated forever.
It doesn’t take away from them been talented or work hard to get where they are right now. It’s interesting that when someone says their opinion, people call it hating or says things like be over there hating, while they are making all the money they want. Like money and fame is the most important thing in life, there are other important things in life. I will honestly tell you, I’m content and happy where I’m at, rather be in their shoes or any of these celebrity shoes.
There is something off about their relationship to me. Not wearing your rings, not talk about each other, act like you guys are not married, Beyonce act like she’s independent and controls her relationship, Hova boasting about having the hottest chick in the game, Beyonce thinking she got the best rapper in the game, trying to outshine each other, Beyonce exposing her body most of the time, if you will ask me, it’s bunch of nonsense to me, nothing cool about it.
I’m sorry, no artist comes close to M.J., when it comes to true talent, originality, sing songs that are so heartfelt, and meaningful, uniqueness, humility, and humanitarian. He loved what he does, and he just wants to share it with the world. M.J., is also an entertainer, but you can just see the passion and heart when he sings and dances. When you are good at something, work hard, do your best, no need to boast, or try too hard, people acknowledging or respecting your work will just come naturally. The cool thing is that M.J. sometimes even praise other people’s work over his, give people credit, that’s what you call humility and been a legend.

If you watch Glitter it wasn’t it Mariah’s acting that got the negative reviews per se. It was more of the lame movie concept and it’s execution that people were dogging.
