Chris Brown Gets Pushed Up+MJB Singing At World Series+Baby Kiyan & Amerie+Gucci & Usher’s “Spotlight” Preview
Looks like all this publicity is faring well for Chris Brown. His album Graffiti is now set to be released on December 8th. His label says the debut single “I Can Transform Ya” is Top 10 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip Hop urban mainstream and rhythm radio airplay charts, and the video is # 1 on the iTunes music videos chart this week.
The release comes on the heels of his upcoming “Fan Appreciation Tour” which begins November 14 in Houston, Texas.
And right before Rihanna’s ABC interview airs this Friday, Chris Brown is doing an interview with MTV that airs the same night. On a side note, we hear Sway cut off his dreads….
And it’s another one for NYC. Mary J. Blige is set to sing the National Anthem at the World Series’ Game 6 at Yankee Stadium tonight. Get it MJB!

No offense but Chris Brown being on the RnB charts alone does not equate to possibly good sales. If youa re not on HOT 100 or charts like that then not a good sign. Especially since he used to be all over charts like that.
I think moving up the album had more to do with big names like A.Keys and MJB releasing albums that day. Him debuting at #1 would help his career. I am sure he would beat Ushe because no one is seriosuly checking for Usher and his PAPERS nonesense. Chris needs big time tv appearances and it looks like no one is interested, MTV does not count.
Rihanna i starting off with good morning America, one of the best ways to promote her album.
I think Chris should have finished his community service before releasing an album, let the mainstream audience forget about his mistakes for a while.

This is the main reason why i think Chris Brown would have a problem getting most of his success back. He keeps saying he took time out to learn, when, he was already promoting bringing out an album back in May or June just a few months after the incident. The way I look at it, when bringing out an album a certain level of time and focus goes into that actually a alot, so when did he have time to think of his issues? He should have pushed his album back to mid 2010, give people sometime. He is young I don’t know what the hurry is. Maybe his record label forced him to.

Don’t sleep on Usher… not saying Chris can’t out sell him first week but Usher ain’t Trey Songz or Omarion, Usher has a huge fanbase and On the week ending October 31, 2009 “Papers” debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at #92 and moved 61 spots to #31 in its second week.

Right now Chris is the most talked about male R&B artist in the game. His singles are getting mad buzz. His Fanbase is still intact. The concert he did was sold out and he got rave reviews. It’s set to drop before Christmas and after Rihanna (the other most talked about artist) As far as the record label is concern they see dollar signs. It’s perfect business sense to drop his album in 2009.

Completely agree that he is the most talked about RnB artist, not bring race into this but the reason Chris Brown is more successful than a Trey Songs or Omarion is because he has a more mainstream audience. He was performing for sold out arenas all over the country and the world. The old Chris Brown should be on more charts than one RnB chart. Those radio concerts are not a good indicator of one having a comeback. R.Kelly still sells out concerts like that but I think we can both agree that his career never fully survived his sex incident.

As of last week chris brown was 24 on the hot 100- it will be higher this week, for songs that were released at the same time as transform ya the only 2 that get more airplay are britney and taylor swift. If u look at the chart chris’s song has a star next to it representing the song with the most gains in airplay. So yes he is on the main billboard chart and doing dam good

Plus with Kelly his fanbase is getting older so his numbers would have reflected that even without the sex tape.

If I’m Jive Records and I see those numbers I’m dropping the album quick.

Also cb’s has been getting nearly 5000 spins per day on hip r and b stations with an audiance of 35million but was only getting 250 spins on pop radio, but since that video has came out the pop spins have went up to 750 and climbing so if the pop ever matches the hiphop spins then you have a new no1 song, hell if he can get the pop up to 1500 or 2000 spins per day he’d be in the top 10 so concidering what he’s up against I’d have to say the kid is doing pretty dam good!

Um….where have you been? He is No. 24 right now on the Hot 100 charts! That is with very lil promotion. He couldn’t perform it on any TV shows right now, and the only time he has performed it was at the concert back in Jersey! Plus he just released the video for it. ‘Transform Ya’ is doing quite well being that he had a lot of odds against him. Plus he has another song on the charts ‘Drop it Low with Ester Dean. His newest single ‘Crawl’ is amazing and getting positive feedback from critics and fans! Yeah he may have been able to do better if he could reach a boarder audience, but if the numbers are good then it is smart to release the album now! To hell with mainstream and what they think! His audience will carry him to success!

Maybe I’m the only one but I will not be buying Chris Brown’s album. Yes people make mistakes but you also need time to learn from those mistakes and time to get forgivness and and I don’t feel having time to promote an album and go on tour just 8 months later is enough time. As for the interview on MTV the same day as Rihanna’s on GMA is unnecessary unless he gonna say something worth hearing.
