This is such a truth of what marriage can be, not about someone really loving another but about ” Lust”. Lust hurts because there is no foundation of any loyalty in it.

Basically I think a lot of the things he does hurts the already tainted image that white America has of black America. Meet the Browns is pure trash and makes a mockery of EVERY stereotype of black people known to man. Its his growth as a producer (no growth) that makes me skeptical. More importantly, its the fact that this man fired his black writers and had plenty more going on strike all because he denied them the proper health benefits! And who did he replace these black writers with? Jewish writer who we all know love to out black people. I just dont believe in success at the hand of makng a mockery of your own people.

Yep, lol. Because when I see or read “Madea” in the title, I expect to see “Ma- to the damn d-e-a”. Lol. But in the last few (mostly “Madea Goes to Jail”) I was expecting to definitely see more of Madea…IN DA DAMMN JAYL!!! :-P Don’t get me wrong, I loved the movie. I love janet but dramatic acting is not her thing. In the first installment, every time she referred to her dead son and was trying to cry – the entire movie audience would laugh including me. It was the same feeling i got when i tried to take Beyonce seriously in DreamGirls while Jennifer Hudson basically walked all over her acting skills. Let’s hope Janet stepped it up this time. Janet and Malik were awful in the last one. Tasha Smith and Jill Scott’s storylines and acting carried the entire movie!!!

I feel you. I respect TP’s hustle and drive. He writes, produces AND directs his movies. He employs many AA, in front of the screen and behind. And how any Black-owned film studios are there? Yes, there is an element of coonery in his films, but I honestly believe that it’s in an effort to reach a broad audience. There are some people who only respond to comedy and foolishness. But TP incorporates powerful messages in his films as well. Plus, like you said, there aren’t many Black people doing this on a Hollywood level. Respect…

Well I think alot of people get caught up in the messenger and overlook the message. I know a lot of guys who will not see a Madea movie becuase it is a man in a dress acting. The Madea character is used to bring a little humor to plots that are of a more serious nature, domestic violence, child molestation, things that happen daily, that people are afraid to talk about.

The show Meet the Browns, I do not like either, however Meet the Browns the movie was okay, not one of his best though. I have not gotten the chance to see I Can Do Bad By Myself, I will get it when it comes out on DVD. But I think one of his best works was The Family That Preys, with Sanaa Latham and Taj Henson.

Why do you you people give white people so much power????? Like Chris Rock said they dont care…they are also worried about bleaching their hair, trying to hold their marriages together, leading their double lives, looking after family, school, work, the list is endless…for them to be worried about black people!!! TP’s audience is predominantly black and I watch and love Madea. It’s purely for escapism just like most movies are supposed to be. Good grief…so the Italians must grief Gandolfini and co for doing that successful mafia series. I mean gees whiz Louise its just for fun sakes. I dont know I think that SOME black people in America need to start living for themselves and stop wondering what white people think. A question for all those that will bother to respond. What have you done TODAY to potray yourself in a better light? Let us be uplifting of one another and not be bitter like Spike Lee. If Spike Lee wished to make his point, he could have spoken to Tyler face to face instead of being so rude. I am glad Tyler is doing fabulous without the detractors. Spike still needs to buy a studio.

Ok Kanye! aka Zane Mac: @ Keki- Im gonna make it short because Im not going to get all into it with ayone over this dude lol….Basically I think a lot of he does hurts the already tainted image that white America has of black America. Meet the Browns is pure trash and makes a mockery of EVERY stereotype of black people known to man. Its his growth as a producer (no growth) that makes me skeptical. More importantly, its the fact that this man fired his black writers and had plenty more going on strike all because he denied them the proper ! And who did he replace these black writers with? Jewish writer who we all know to out black people. I just dont believe in success at the hand of makng a mockery of your own people.

RobertJ: This is directed to the Tyler Perry haters . Do us all a favor and provide us with a list of all of the movies and plays you have produced. Also please provide a list of all of the movies that you have attended that were written and produced by non- AFRICAN AMERICANS. Until then, don’t be so critical.. If you must be critical, lets be critical of all the writers and producers who keep cranking out this crap that you allow your children to view. If you don’t like Mr. Perry’s movies, then you could at least teach your children that there are alternative means of entertainment. People, EDUCATE YOURSELF AND YOUR FAMILIES… Don’t wait on one person to make it and then proceed to tear him down

LOL!!!! Preach!!! Just can’t please BLACK people….SMDH

I can not wait to see this movie! I LOVE me some JANET. It looks like she has stepped her acting game UP!!! I am so excited about this. April has to be something to get the crowd hype. He can’t possibly really be putting this movie out in April. I think he is saying April on purpose to see the people’s reaction. He should release it on Valentine’s Day Weekend.
