Sounds like Chris Brown has a whole team of men on his side. The National Coalition For Men has just put out a statement stating they stand by CB. And they are calling for Rihanna to fess up about her reported violence against Chris as well:
LOS ANGELES/EWORLDWIRE/Nov. 5, 2009 — Pop singer Rihanna recently made a widely publicized statement to Glamour Magazine that she wants to “shed light on the reality of domestic violence.” The National Coalition For Men (NCFM) calls on Rihanna to discuss her own reported violence against Brown as well if she wants to shed light on the problem honestly.
According to court records and other sources, Rihanna struck Brown in the face “numerous times” before Brown assaulted her (‘http://news.ninemsn.com.au/entertainment/768865/rihanna-hit-chris-brow…’). NCFM purports although that would not justify his more severe assault, her violence should not be ignored, and if she does not “woman up” to it then her message will be the usual one-sided double standards that leave female perpetration covered up.
The saying, “There is no excuse for domestic violence,” applies to both sexes. Female violence in relationships is not rare but is often hypocritically deemed acceptable or humorous, such as in the film, Sideways. It is part of the cycle of domestic violence, which cannot be stopped without addressing the problem honestly. Children are damaged just by witnessing domestic violence, regardless of its severity.
A 32-nation study by the University of New Hampshire found women are as violent and as controlling as men in relationships worldwide (‘http://www.unh.edu/news/cj_nr/2006/may/em_060519male.cfm?type=n’,
‘http://pubpages.unh.edu/~mas2/ID41E2.pdf’).A major study funded by the Centers for Disease Control found one-fourth of heterosexual relationships had violence and: “half (49.7%) of those were reciprocally violent. In nonreciprocally violent relationships, women were the perpetrators in more than 70% of the cases.” (‘http://www.ajph.org/cgi/content/abstract/97/5/941′)
The same study also found “while injury was more likely when violence was perpetrated by men, in relationships with reciprocal violence it was the men who were injured more often (25% of the time) than were women (20% of the time).” (‘http://pn.psychiatryonline.org/cgi/content/full/42/15/31-a’)
Over 200 studies now confirm the same thing, that “women are as physically aggressive, or more aggressive, than men in their relationships with their spouses or male partners,” as California State University Professor Martin Fiebert shows in his online bibliography at ‘http://www.csulb.edu/~mfiebert/assault.htm’. This data is more reliable than criminal justice data because men are less likely to report the violence or to respond positively to crime surveys because society still does not consider female violence as much of a crime.
If Rihanna sincerely wants to raise awareness about domestic violence, NCFM calls on her to be forthcoming about her own violence and to address the problem honestly.

I agree they should both take responsibility for their actions
Thu, November 5, 2009 2:34 PM
those stats are VERRRRRRY interesting. im so tired of the whole thing really though. i heart chris, he’s talented. rhianna is too…i GUESS. we all know she’s just now speaking publicly cuz her abulm is about to flop, i mean drop. a very good point was brought up though, violence is violence so if she’s coming clean she should come all the way clean.
Thu, November 5, 2009 2:35 PM
STANDING OVATION FOR THESE MEN…………CLAP CLAP CLAP…
THAT LIAR CALLED RIHANNA NEEDS TO FESS UP TO HER ACTIONS AS WELL..SHE HIT CHRIS NOW SHE IS EMBRASSED BY HIM AND SAYS SHE DID NOT CAUSE THIS…GTFOH…
TAKE YOUR LYING AZZ AND CROCODILE TEARS BACK TO BARBADOS..LIARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!
Thu, November 5, 2009 2:35 PM
damn homie…but RiRi is throwing CB up under that bus and running over that azz full speed!!
Thu, November 5, 2009 2:36 PM
Womp womp…
I couldn’t agree more though. Domestic violence is domestic violence, no matter who it’s coming from. If she was in fact abusive towards him, it’s no wonder it got to that point. It goes both ways. You can’t hit a man and not think he won’t hit that ass back. It’s not right either way…
Thu, November 5, 2009 2:37 PM
WE ARE STILL WAITING FOR CHRIS “I DON’T REMEMBER” BROWN TO COME CLEAN ABOUT ALL THE TIMES HE KICK RIHANNA’S ASS!!!
I DON’T REMEMBER SEEING PICS OF CHRIS’S BATTERED AND BRUISED FACE!
NOW THAT RIHANNA SAYING HER PIECE EVERYONE GUNNING FOR HER!
NOW NCFM TRYING TO BRING SOME PUBLICITY TO THEIR ORGANIZATION ON HER BACK!
WHAT KINDA ORGANIZATION GOES AFTER THE VICTIM????
WHERE WAS THIS ORGANIZATION FOR THE PAST NINE MONTHS!
GO TO HELL!
Thu, November 5, 2009 2:37 PM
wow oh wow oh wow….
Thu, November 5, 2009 2:38 PM
Why all the negativity…clearly your not part of the solution.
Thu, November 5, 2009 2:39 PM
sell out
Thu, November 5, 2009 2:39 PM
Well it about time that SOMEBODY said it! I said this a long time ago. When I first heard that she was punkin Chris out and hitting on him. Plenty of people said that she was rude and nasty and a spoiled brat with too many yes people around her.
It isnt fair for her to be the only one to play the victim just because she came out looking worse. Dont hit people and not expect to get hit back. Enuff on everyones part is enuff!
They BOTH need help!!
Thu, November 5, 2009 2:39 PM
I also agree, she should tell the whole truth! I don’t agree with him beating her ass the way he did, but how many men are going to let a woman keep hitting him in the face and he does not respond. Tyra had a female on her show that was doing the same thing to her man, so it can go both ways.
Thu, November 5, 2009 2:39 PM
whoa! i’m starting not to care cos no1’s telling the truth… go away both of you. she was beaten, he was beaten… errrr…
Thu, November 5, 2009 2:39 PM
Im going to be so honest! I applaud the NCFM for speaking up about that! Its about time someone said what we all were thinking. The sad part is, Chris Brown tried his damn hardest to keep it directly on him. He never mentioned anything she may have done, could have done, or did… he made it simple ” I was wrong”. Trying to protect this chick got him no where because she is about to get on national television and throw him under the bus. Domestic Violence is wrong, no matter what sex. Unfortuately, as stated, there is a double standard and its almost taboo to speak that a woman might have played a large part in her situation of DV. For this reaso alone is why I choose to support CB. Men are victims as well, in this case, IMO, there is no victim of DV because both were willing participants.
Thu, November 5, 2009 2:40 PM
RIHANNA WILL GET HERS, THERE ARE SOOOOO MANY PPL WHO KNOW WHAT REALLY THE TRUTH. AND THEY WILL SPEAK.
SMH
Thu, November 5, 2009 2:41 PM
AMEN–I am so glad they are speaking out on this. I do believe she struck him and he is not speaking out on it for fear that he’ll be called a snitch or punk. Women think they can punch, smack, scratch, or kick a man whenever they please and they are just supposed to take it. Violence is violence, if a woman chooses to put her hand on a man, she shouldn’t be surprised if he does the same.
Thu, November 5, 2009 2:41 PM
Whatever. Those men are stupid, and so are the women that agree with them. Come on ladies, whose side are you on here?
Women RARELY inflict the same type of damage on men, as chris did to rihanna.
Thu, November 5, 2009 2:42 PM
I love Chris and RihRih both. They should have both kept quiet with all this now they just opened it all back up. Rih is wrong for trying to put it all on him. I’m sure she smacked him up a few times. It still doesn’t make it right. They both need to keep their hands to themselves.
Thu, November 5, 2009 2:42 PM
I am Rihanna stan & I agree that she should admit that she was violent against him also…I just think for both Rihanna & Chris to deal w/ something like this so publicly makes the situation 100x harder. I can’t wait to see the interview tomorrow though, let’s hope hers isn’t the trainwreck Breezy’s was!!!
*Kanye shrung*
Thu, November 5, 2009 2:42 PM
AMEN–I am so glad they are speaking out on this. I do believe she struck him and he is not speaking out on it for fear that he’ll be called a snitch or punk. Women think they can punch, smack, bite, scratch, or kick a man whenever they please and they are just supposed to take it. Violence is violence, if a woman chooses to put her hand on a man, she shouldn’t be surprised if he does the same.
Thu, November 5, 2009 2:44 PM
So happy sobody finally called her out on this. I just wished they had done this before her interview so she would have been forced to adress it.
Thu, November 5, 2009 2:46 PM
My mother ad uncles, cousins, auts, friends always told me….: Never hit anyone (man or woman) unless you are prepared to get hit back! Its just the rule. Ad if I am having aboy I will instill in him that its not ok to hit women because you are stronger than them…. but you also have a right to defend yourself. By defending yourself that doesnt mean go crazy on her but use enough force to restrain the person (man or woman) from causing you any further harm.
If its a girl… she will know, the same exact thing!
Thu, November 5, 2009 2:46 PM
I understand that neither ppl in a relationship should put their hands on each other. However, wus up w/ all the other EXTRA stat’s and stuff. It’s like they are tryna lessen the severity of what he did to her imo. Yes we know it happens on both sides. However, TESTOSTERONE tops ESTROGEN any day!
Thu, November 5, 2009 2:47 PM
ALL THESE COMMENTS SUPPORTING CHRIS BROWN JUST PROVES THE STATE OF THE BLACK AMERICAN WOMAN…SINGLE, LOW SELF ESTEEM, GOLD DIGGERS AND MOST OF ALL DESPERATE!
MOST OF U CAN’T SEE THE FOREST FOR THE TREES BECAUSE U HAVE NO CLUE WHAT A GOOD MAN IS. MOST OF U PROBABLY GREW UP IN A FATHERLESS HOME WITH NO POSITIVE MALE ROLE MODEL!
U WERE HOLDING ON TO CHRIS BROWN’S GOODY GOODY IMAGE AND HIS FAME AND MONEY JUST LIKE RIHANNA WAS. THE BIG DIFFERENCE IS THAT SHE IS THE ONE WHO GOT HER ASS KICKED BY CHRIS AND THANKFULLY HAS FOUND THE STRENGTH TO STEP AWAY FROM THE SITUATION!
ALL U “STRONG BLACK WOMEN” QUIT BEING CLICHES AND KNOW WHAT TRUE STRENGTH IS (IT’S NOT HAVING A BIG MOUTH) BUT A BIG BRAIN!!! BE SMART ABOUT UR RELATIONSHIPS!!!!
Thu, November 5, 2009 2:47 PM
I know one thing… their albums better be worth all this drama.
Thu, November 5, 2009 2:48 PM
I mean as much as Rhianna fans will hate to hear this, she probably did slap him a few times before that night of the awards show. I had a feeling that they both have some fault to claim in this mess. And its probably only going to get uglier
Thu, November 5, 2009 2:48 PM
AGREE!!! When she doesnt & if she doesnt mention what she did and the fact that BOTH of them were violent I think that makes her phony & just as at fault as him. He is a man he a man should NEVER fight a woman he’s fighting another man. YET, no one should hit anyone. Whitney even told Oprah that Bobby smacked her only after she hit him over the head with a phone 3 times. Keep it real Rihanna. Dont play innocent. No you didnt deserve it but to just act as if he was a monster and he just beat the sh*t outta you while you were just twiddeling you thumbs is not far.
Thu, November 5, 2009 2:49 PM
@Me
So just because a woman may not be able to cause the same type of damage, it makes it ok for a woman to be able to hit? That’s bullshit. Is that what people are taching their daughters? If your boyfriend pisses you off it’s ok for you to wild out on him b/c you can’t really hurt him. But it’s not ok for him to defend himself against a woman? BULLSHIT!!!
I’m glad someone is defending Chris besides his fans. It’s about fucking time. I feel bad b/c he tried to be a man about it and take all the blame and not even say what actually happened that night. He tried to protect her and this is what he gets.
I am in no way saying what he did was right, but don’t put your hands on me and I won’t put my hands on you!
Thu, November 5, 2009 2:49 PM
I agree with them. I think she should admit her wrong doing as well. It’s a problem across the board! Wrong is wrong, no matter who’s doing it. Lets be fair!
Thu, November 5, 2009 2:50 PM
I concur.
Rihanna does need to fess up because I would bet on the fact that she put her hands on him first. While it is unfortunate, women should take heed to the saying “If you wanna fight like a man be prepared to get beat down like a one”. A man is usually physically stronger than his woman so constant abuse might trigger something. I will admit to being one of the women who might take advantage of the fact that men do not hit women. However, I am no fool. I know that if my man wanted to beat the ish out of me he could do so; therefore, I will not push certain buttons. Chris was DEAD WRONG because he didnt just give her one backhanded hit to stop her he beat the crap out of her but there is also something about this story that the public doesnt know.
Thu, November 5, 2009 2:51 PM
But we don’t know what kind of damage she did or did not do to him. When men are victims of domestic violence, it’s rare that they come forward b/c of embarrassment (what man wants folks to know his girl is whuppin up on him) and/or to protect the female from being prosecuted. If that’s the case, then of course we won’t EVER know unless they choose to let it be known. And to me, it sounds like CB is still tryna protect Rihanna.
Thu, November 5, 2009 2:51 PM
I completely agree. We’ve all heard about rihanna goin upside chris’s head before. I’m sure she’s not as innocent as she coming across in this interview.
Thu, November 5, 2009 2:52 PM
AT LEAST !
THIS CHICK THREW BREEZY UNDER THE BUS, SHE’S CALLING HIS NAM DURING THE INTERVIEW ON ABC, TALKING ABOUT HOW SHE REALIZED SHE WAS AN EXAMPLE FOR A LOT OF LIL GIRLS BUT HONEY U GOTTA TEACH TO YOUR YOUNG STANS THAT BEING A WOMAN OR FROM THE “WEAK SEX” DOES NOT GIVEU THE RIGHT TO HIT SOMEONE, EVEN IF HE’S STRONGER THAN U ARE, AT THE END OF THE DAY, VIOLENCE IS VIOLENCE !
Thu, November 5, 2009 2:52 PM
So are you sayin that its ok that she hit him since she didn’t black his eye?? Since she didn’t inflict the same damage??
Just asking questions…
Thu, November 5, 2009 2:52 PM
DAMN thank GOD some1 on a bigger platform said what I have been saying the whole damn TIME! Never heard of this org but I’m behind them %100! If women want full respect & equality its time for us to shed our double standards as well!
Thu, November 5, 2009 2:53 PM
its about time!! we all know them island girls can be a little crazy! i don’t agree with domestic violence, but if you man enough to fight a man, he should be able to whoop your ass like a man too! i can understand if she was helpless! she just hit him too many time, and that was the last straw…
Thu, November 5, 2009 2:53 PM
I agree. I also think that if she wasnt in the public eye she would not have left him this time. And if he wasnt in the public eye there might be a next time but since they are they make sure they do what is “correct” from this point forward
Thu, November 5, 2009 2:54 PM
of course rihanna crazy…most island women are crazy and violent….i just want 2 hear some good music from both camps…damn
Thu, November 5, 2009 2:56 PM
Oh and the damage doesn’t always have to be physically. Being abused by anyone can leave emotional and psychological scars as well…
Thu, November 5, 2009 2:57 PM
there is no need for harsh sterotypes.
Thu, November 5, 2009 2:59 PM
Thank God someone is finally is saying this!!!!
Riri fess up!!!
Thu, November 5, 2009 2:59 PM
Now see… this is a real statement from a real female. Keep it 100. The most honesty I’ve read on here all day.
Thu, November 5, 2009 2:59 PM
I agree and I am glad he has people defending him … to say that you are embarrassed about loving someone is a slap in the face. To say that you didn’t cause the situation is another slap in the face when without knowing the true facts we can tell that there is more to the story and she is just as responsible as he is. I am ashamed of her … someone needed to speak to her before she gave this interview … she will have a backlash from this and with her being a Caribbean it will be worst for her …. I’m sorry but I am not supporting this interview as yet …
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:00 PM
Damn! Thank God i dnt live in America that’s all i have to say, all this mess that u ppl write on blogs is the reason y sooooooo many horrible things continue to happen to your ppl. There is no love in your country. A man freakin beats a woman to a pulp and she deserved it? wow? I hope that things change, i have a feelin that most of the bloggers on here are young anyways, experience teaches wisdom and clearly a great deal of u are lacking…smh
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:01 PM
This has nothing to do with her being an “island girl”
This whole situation is too crazy. I mean why didn’t Chris speak up and say something? Was he embarrassed? It’s still doesn’t justify him doing all that stuff to her.
It sounds like Chris may have snapped or something that night.
This is crazy?!?!?!
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:01 PM
As a woman, I’m on the side of fairness and equality. NO ONE has the right to put hands on another person. It’s not about the physical damage that could be caused, it’s about respect and controlling one’s own emotions and taking responsibility for ones actions.
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:01 PM
He should not have beat her like that, but ladies I dont care how mad, big, or bad you think you are… Some of our actions are too much. Just because your angry doesn’t mean that you can hit, or bust someones windows, scratch their car or do whatever other childish act that makes you feel better. If someone isnt treating you the way that you feel they should eliminate the from your life or learn to deal with the anger that they are going to bring…
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:02 PM
Where were they??? The same place Rihanna was these past months shit!!! Dont act like its a shock someone has Chris’ back! Rihanna didn’t throw him under the bus until her album came out. She didnt care about how little girls viewed domestic violence until her wack ass single came out!!! You have nerve getting mad at a REPLY statement made by an organization. Ask Rihanna where the hell she’s been! Oh yeah, shopping and taking fucking pictures! She acts like this shit happened last night! It didnt!!!
You didn’t see Chris’ face… hell you weren’t supposed to see Rihanna’s face either! So whats the problem. Domestic Violence is what it is. Everyone needs to keep their damn hands to themselves! If you don’t want to be hit, u keep ur hands to yourself. You learn that in preschool!
What if Chris were your son! This shit isn’t okay! Ok so he banged her ass up… but he’s not like Ike Turner who just fucked her up for blinking too many times in 60 seconds.
she NEEDs to keep it 100 just like this open letter says! They didnt accuse her of ANYTHING except not being 100% honest… nor did they EXCUSEChris of Anything.
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:03 PM
This was just a way for the NCFM to advertise their cause. They barely said ANYTHING about Chris and Rihanna, they just listed a bunch of skewed statistics as an excuse. Look, violence is wrong regardless of any situation, and I don’t doubt that women are more violent in relationships than we know about, but really? Who believes these statistics? When women are abusive, it’s usually emotional, and the situations are usually so different that you can’t compare them. I don’t know about the Chris Brown and Rihanna thing, but I know that this was a cheap way for the NFCM to gain attention, a lot of it probably negative.
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:03 PM
Um excuse me! I was in an abusive realtionship and it was a mutually abusive relationship. Both of us had bad tempers and things would get heated and hot! I would hit and so would he. The cops were called once and he was the one who was held accountable and taken to jail until I went down to the station to fix things and get him out.In the end the best thing to do was walk away beause it was unhealthy. When family wanted his ass on a platter, I told them I was whoopin his ass as well, they said “Both of you are crazy!” Just because some of us arent held up to think the same simple minded thinking “Men cant hit women but women can hit men” doesnt mean we are a bunch of weak women who dont know what a good man is. It means we live in a real world. Most of the women on here have all said the same thing “No one should hit anyone….. DV is not good no matter who the offender is”. If you acant understand that, when its in plain english, then there is a break dow of understaning somewhere. I choose to support CB because he was man enough to own up to his mistakes and take proper actions. Not only that but he never sh*tted on your girl Rihanna in the least way. ITs easy for everyone to throw shade here and there and blame the next person. What do you think Rihanna is doing? Blaming it all on this boy and leaving him out to dry. My strength as a black woman has nothing to do with who I support but everything to do wth how I choose to live my life. So lets make it clear :Hitting is not acceptable whether it be a man or a woman doing the hitting! Either way its wrong.
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:04 PM
No one knows for sure if she hit him first, so I don’t know why everyone is saying that. If she did hit him first how do they know she isn’t going to admit to it? They should let the whole interview air before they put out this ridiculous letter. If she hit him first she was wrong but he still didn’t have to take there.
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:04 PM
You mean like how he whipped her ass and left her in the street by herself?
I mean, who the fuck the National Coalition for Men? I’ve NEVER, EVER heard of it, and this whole “violence against men” thing? Sure, it happens, haven’t you seen “Snapped?” But it’s also clear that it’s mostly MEN who BEAT and KILL women…
And really who keeps spreading this Rihanna hit Chris thing? So it’s okay for a 6′1 man to beat up a woman half his size who slaps him? If, indeed she did? Since when is a man fighting a woman a fair fight? Is that how we do relationships these days? Natasha, by printing this you give credence to these people. Do you know anything about them?
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:05 PM
@lisacarver … there is no need for stereotyping I am a Caribbean who has lived my entire life in the U.S. You can count on your one hand the number of violent women in my family … do not stereotype others even though I will say based on facts that it is the American way to do that …. like I said before she is a Caribbean and she will get a backlash from this if she doesn’t speak the whole truth.
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:08 PM
As a woman i am disgusted that they have taken his side. THERE IS NO EVIDENCE that she hit him. But we all saw her face after she got beat down. All of you women siding with Chris, i am ashamed that we share a gender. You all should get whooped so you can feel what it’s like.
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:08 PM
Yes Rihanna should talk about what part she may have played in this. However, that doesn’t take away from the fact that Chris is strong male and Rihanna is weaker female physically. Chris has a physical advantage over her. He could have used that advantage to restrain her from hitting him; but instead he used it beat her. A fly on the back of an elephant isn’t hurting the elephant, but let the elephant try to piggy back on the fly. It doesn’t work.
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:09 PM
This organization needs to sit down and shut up! If Rihanna did indeed hit Chris, HE should have informed the police and have her arrested…since this is not the case and the only “alleged” info they have is in court documents and are NOT from any official police reports then as it stand HE CHRIS Brown IS the abuser and Rihanna IS the victim!!! And for those of you small minded, ignorant, fools that are “sending” her back to her native land GET A LIFE! She isn’t concerned about you! I wonder how this would have played out if it was done to Beyonce by Jay Z?!
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:11 PM
I agree with these men! Everyone needs to take responsiblity. I’m not hating but I’m too over Rihanna and her side of the story..sheesh
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:11 PM
its funny that Chris brown has not said anything about Rhianna hitting him in the past. All he is doing is posting videos of them on twitter and talking about how he is still in love with her. If she supposedly slapped him around he should b somewhat upset with her or putting the blame on her in some way.
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:12 PM
Such a tragedy- I have absolutely no understanding for domestic violence on both parts, Its an act of hatred and jealousy
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:13 PM
A REAL JOURNALIST WOULD ASK HER BLOW BY BLOW WHAT HAPPENED
NO ONE IS TAKING CHRIS SIDE WERE JUST SAYING DON’T ACT LIKE
SHE’S COMPLETELY INNOCENT. SHE TAUNTED THE DOG HE JUMPED THE
FENCE BIT HER AND NOW HE’S BEING PUT TO SLEEP. ONCE AGAIN THIS
IS NOT JUSTIFYING HIS ACTIONS CAUSE I DON’T CARE ABOUT HIM
ONE WAY OR ANOTHER. THE STORY NEED TO BE TOLD IN FULL SO WE
ALL CAN SHUT UP ABOUT IT
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:14 PM
HOLD UP HOMIE!!! DONT COME OUT OF NOWHERE TALKIN BOUT BLACK AMERICAN WOMEN!! ESPECIALLY IF YOU R NOT ONE! WE HAVE ENUF PREJUDICE BS TO DEAL WITH! SO HOW WOULD YOU FEEL IF SUM1 CALLED UR STUPID ASS OUT LIKE THAT? THIS IS A BLOG SPOT AND EVERY1 HAS THE RIGHT TO SAY WTF THEY FEEL! IF U DONT LIKE IT GO TO ANUTHA SITE B*@!*H! AS 4 CB, HE SHOULDA BEEN PUT RIRI RE-RE ASS ON BLAST! VIOLENCE IS VIOLENCE AND IT’S ALL WRONG! TASHA STOP THIS CRAZY HO TRINI FROM EMBARRASSING OUR PPL!
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:14 PM
NO comparing a woman hitting a man to a man hitting a woman.
You all are insane if you do.
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:15 PM
well said!
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:16 PM
being caribbean has nothing to do with this.
AFRICAN AMERICANS are viewed as GHETTO ANGRY PEOPLE. let’s not start with the stereotypes.
NO ONE KNOWS IF SHE HIT HIM FIRST.
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:16 PM
did’nt even read all of the comments & this is exactly what i’m saying,he man up & she does this it was not neccesary to throw him under the bus.Chris took all the blame.& no i’m not bashing the so called victim.
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:16 PM
yall do know thats fake right…lol….lawd…the internet and stans are SOMETHING ELSE …LOOOOOOL..will sit at their comp and make all kinds of shit up. Have mercy. Get an education kids.
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:18 PM
I am shocked and somewhat appalled at the remarks I see her on YBF! I find it absolutely disgusting that many would “assume” that Rihanna HAD to do something for Chris to assault her!
Black women, please wake the f*** up! We’ve been beaten for many years by our men. I wasn’t there (nor was anyone else on here), so I have NO idea what REALLY happened… but the fact of the matter is, he hit her…and I don’t care what kind of man you are, you do not put your hands on a woman.
I’m still sad reading these comments. You’re agreeing with an organization that has no credibility. They pull random “facts” out their (you know what), and now everyone is Team Chris! GTFOH!
Yes, women hit men…and vice versa. It’s a fact! My point here is this, until we really knwo the FACTS, don’t assume that Rihanna was the reason why Chris acted like a beast! No one deserved to be beaten like that. Yes, I saw the HORRID pictures! As a woman who has seen other women around me experience abuse, this is no joke!
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:19 PM
Period. He went too far, he did her so wrong, but let’s get to the root of it all. Let’s be effin real.
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:19 PM
Yeah, Chris probably did it more than once, but we all know Rihanna did some stuff too. And to further tarnish Chris’ reputation is so sad when she knows she’s guilty of stuff too. Too bad Chris is gonna try to take the high road.
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:20 PM
I will never forget when Diane Sawyer questioned Oprah about why she was building a school for africans while black american kids suffer. Diane looked like she wanted to lay her out when Oprah gave a lame excuse.
Then Diane interviewed a single mother from philly and her 5 year old. He was so cute when he reassured Diane, “I want to learn to read. I want to learn to read.”
Diane is showing rihanna cursing and looking like the evil person she is. She’ll rue the day she disrespected oprah and tyra, and wendy and monique.
Good white people like Diane love them some american negroes.
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:20 PM
DO NOT MAKE THE FACT THAT SHE IS WEST INDIAN PART OF THE REASON SHE WAS AGGRESSIVE TOWARDS HIM. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH WHERE YOUR FROM!!!
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:21 PM
@ OK..COSIGN MY GIRL!!! EDUCATE THAT IGNORANT SOUL OF TRINI’S!!!
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:21 PM
Sadly, no one is gonna get to hear the story blow for blow until they are old and their careers are washed up and down the drain. Case-in-point Whitney and Bobby.
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:21 PM
So glad they are standing by her side. She admitted herself the deeper in love they got the crazier she would act so boo boo needs to come clean about her wrong doings in the relationship. The picture made her the victim but I do not know what she did to provoke him. I am not saying he was right in no way at all but there is another side to this story and they both need good press right about now!
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:22 PM
I AM HAPPY THAT THIS HAS BEEN ADDRESSED IN THE RIGHT MANNER..SINCE ALL I’VE HEARD SINCE THIS SITUATION OCCURRED IS THAT A MAN SHOULD NEVER HIT A WOMAN…AND I DO NOT CONDONE VIOLENCE BUT EVERYONE HAS A BREAKING POINT…WHILE I FEEL FOR RIHANNA, I WOULD RESPECT HER MORE IF SHE ADMIT TO HER ROLE IN THIS SITUATION, SINCE SHE HAS AGREED TO TELL THE WHOLE STORY…I DONT UNDERSTAND HOW YOU WANT PRIVACY BUT WILL NOW GIVE A BLOW BY BLOW…I’VE RESPECTED CHRIS BROWN DECISION TO TELL THE STORY BECAUSE I BELIEVE WE KNOW ALL WE NEED TO KNOW SINCE NO MATTER WHAT HE SAY HE IS GOING TO BE CONSIDERED WRONG..BECAUSE WE ARE SO BIAS AS A SOCIETY…BUT TO ALL THE PEOPLE WHO SAY REMEMBER YOU MIGHT HAVE A DAUGHTER, NIECE OR SISTER ETC THAT THIS MIGHT HAPPEN TO..I SAY THIS I DO HAVE A DAUGHTER,NIECES BUT I ALSO HAVE NEPHEWS AND BROTHERS AND A HUSBAND SO I CANNOT BE ONE SIDED IN THIS SITUATION… SO I WILL EDUCATE MY DAUGHTER, NEICE AND NEPHEWS THAT IT BETTER TO WALK AWAY WHETHER YOU ARE A MAN OR WOMAN BECAUSE IF YOU HIT A PERSON YOU MIGHT GET HIT BACK…PLEASE LET STOP HAVING THESE TWO YOUNG PEOPLE BE THE VOICE OF DOMESTICE VIOLENCE..LETS STOP LOOKING TO OTHERS TO RAISE OUR CHILDERN AND TEACH THEM WRONG FROM RIGHT WHEN WE AS PARENTS AND ADULTS SHOULD BE DOING THAT…LET SUPPORT AND PRAY FOR THE BOTH OF THEM AND HOPE THAT THEY WILL MAKE IT THROUGH THIS WITH THE HEADS HELD HIGH…
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:23 PM
I think it’s bullshit that a real man should never hit a woman, and I’m a woman. Women have so long gotten away with shit on the basis of “well, he should never hit me”. My logic is, I know he’s stronger than me, why pull some dumb stuff by hitting the man or putting myself in that position. I don’t condone abuse, but people have their limits.
It’s ridiculous that women can get mad and slap a man, but the man has to have some supernatural willpower to stand by.
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:24 PM
Im not saying that Chris was right or rihanna was right. the only thing im saying that chris beat the mess out that girl… if she was fighting him he didnt have to beat the girl ass. Dang all he had to do was restrain her and shake her up a bit not bite her ear like tyson and put her in a headlock…dat was a lil too extreme…he should have been man enough to control his emotions…im not trying to make excuses for anyone, but how many women out there have slap their men for lying or cheating on them..?? I know plenty so don’t tell me that if a woman slap a man he have that right to beat her ass…No b/c a man is strong enough to kill a female especially on the rihanna and chris point of view…if he was defending him self he should have known when enough is enough…the pics look like he got a lil bit fist happy and continue to punch and bite her.
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:24 PM
TMZ says rihanna being sued cause her and her uncivilized friends driving their cars on other people’s lawns.
way to go rihanna.
chris keep your bodyguards she’ll blame that on you too.
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:25 PM
WHAT THE FUCK EVER!!! I don’t give a damn if she instigated, she was beaten and he did NOT look the worse for wear. Sorry, but that is the truth, there IS NO MORAL EQUIVALENCE BETWEEN THE ROLE THEY BOTH PLAYED IN THAT DRAMA. Anyone claiming otherwise was raised by ignorant trash with no understanding of how a man should treat a lady. Samurai woman, people from Rihanna’s hometown in Barbados have already spoken out in support of HER, they said “she could be anyone’s daughter down there”. If the NCFM really cared about victimization they would not be trying to derail the convo with this sideshow, Chris NOT a victim. They need to shut up until they have something helpful to contribute, this situation WAS NOT IT.
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:26 PM
@triniting,
I AGREE WHOLEHEARTEDLY. it is very strange the organisation chose now to speak out because rihanna is on her media train. they didnt come out when chris brown went on larry king.
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:27 PM
I agree.
The end
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:28 PM
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AFRICAN AMERICAN AND CARIBBEAN VIOLENCE IS THAT
AFRICAN AMERICANS GET VIOLENT FOR A REASON, BUT
CARIBBEANS DONT NEED A REASON TO CHOP YOUR HEAD OFF WITH A MACHETE. THEY JUST ROLL OUT OF BED LIKE THAT.
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:29 PM
OMG! I can not agree with you more!!!
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:29 PM
I am glad that the National Coalitaion of Men are standing behind and up for Chris Brown. Out of all the interviews that CB has done, besides Larry King, he has all but poured out his heart to his fans (the children that count for him and others), Rihanna, and anyone else that matters to him that he is deeply sorry for what took place…..What I commend to him is not speaking openly about what has taken place…..we all know something serious happened in that car…what exactly happened in the car – we will neva know, until either of them decide to write a book…….
What is bothering me more so about this whole situtation is:
Rihanna has not spoken to the media about anything until now…she has not done anything with Domestic Viloence to show me or her fans that she is taking a STAND AGAINST DOMESTIC VOLIENCE and until she does that…..I will stay actually where I am with my judgement of what took place that fatal night for the both of them……..In my opinion there was 2 victims – One Female and One Male…….things could have been handled better by both camps and each camp and artist drop the ball on handling things better….
Now after this, lets see who sells the most albums when they come out………..the entertainment world is some ISH!
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:31 PM
Carribeans will kill you for voting against their candidate or having 2 pair of pants to their one. If they could they’d kill all bloggers for having a different opinion LOL LOL
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:32 PM
DEAD @ but he’s not like Ike Turner who just fucked her up for blinking too many times in 60 seconds. LMFAO!!!
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:34 PM
I AM SO GLAD THIS HAS FINALLY COME OUT…ALTHOUGH THIS VERY OWN BLOG SITE HAS REPORTED ON SEVERAL OCCASION REGARDING RHI RHI’S MAN HANDLING OF CHRIS…I ALWAYS STATED THAT HE WAS PROVOKED, I AM NOT SAYING HE WAS RIGHT TO WHOOP THAT ASS, BUT I AM SAYING YOU CAN ONLY TAKE SO MUCH…AND I AM SURE CHRIS HAD HAD ENOUGH FROM MISS UMBRELLA ELLA ELLA…GOOD FRO THESE MEN FOR SHEDDING LIGHT ON THIS OH SO HYPOCRITICAL ISSUE…
BE LOVELY…PEACE…
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:34 PM
No man should EVER hit a woman.
But, I do believe Ms. Rhi Rhi started the fight & had been whipping CBs @ss wwwaaaaayyyyyy before the “big fight.”
She got these White folks fooled. Crying to Diane Sawyer & ish. But, us Black ppl know.
She got that HOT Carribean blood & had been tearing his @ss up since they started dating.
And know he posting videos & ish with pics of them 2getha playing sad, apologetic music. Did she put voodoo on him as well?!!!
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:35 PM
Shellyshell save it. Your dirty caribbeans applauded when their own Misick beat down lisa raye, and refused her entry to her own home. You dirty trash. If rihanna was an american woman they’d be applauding right now. you low life SOB
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:36 PM
lmao @ full speed! But this is what I’m talking about!! Rihanna looks like a scrapper and people are just completely ignoring the fact that she has been hitting him. I don’t hit dudes cuz if I did, I wouldn’t be suprised if I got hit back. I love her and her music but she needs to fess up and say that she provoked the situation some kind of way.
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:36 PM
The point is though, don’t throw blows and then play the victim.
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:37 PM
On anther note, is anyone else noticing that Rhi never says she was abused. She never says that she wants to set an example for girls/women who are abused. She says “domestic violence”. I’m sure Rhi understands that she played a role in their situation as well or else she would be saying that she was abused!
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:38 PM
oh yeah she definitely poisoned him. that is probably what made him act out of character and hit her. he had never hit a girl before in his entire life. it’ll take him a long while to get that voodoo poison out of his system, and he may never get it fully out.
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:38 PM
I think this is great.
What did Mike Epps say, “The first one to get to the phone, the other one is going to jail,”
I don’t doubt that Rhi was being ridiculous to Chris and Chris was being just as ridiculous back to her.
They need the whole story and Rhi needs to be called out in her shit too, just like Chris was.
And uhm where were The National Coalition of Men back when this all went down??
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:38 PM
Seriously? Were you going for funny? You know that was stupid, right?
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:38 PM
Sigh, I’m so sick of people saying stuff like “Testosterone tops Estrogen…”. and no one is sayin that she MUST have done something to him in order for him to have put his hands on her. For those of you jumpin on Rihanna’s victim bandwagon, the same police report that has ya’ll taking her side also notes that she HIT HIM AND STARTED WILDIN OUT ON HIM FIRST. I’m not saying that he was right, but she wasn’t no damn angel. The way she is coming out as the poor defenseless victim is making my butt itch! And Chris has kept quiet and not made any excuses for his part in what happened that night. There are situations where men beat the hell outta there women just because. To paint this young man in that same light when he doesn’t deserve it is wrong. THEY WERE BOTH OUT OF CONTROL AND BOTH OF THEM MADE SOME VERY WRONG DECISIONS THAT NIGHT!!! *drops the mic and walks off stage*
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:41 PM
What’s with the hostility against West Indians? We all came on the same damn ship. They just so happened to drop some of us down the islands versus the mainland (US).
Pure ignorance if you ask me!
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:42 PM
im tired of all this! i dont want no sissy ass mothafucka who cant take a punch anyways.
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:42 PM
Of course, I realize that it’s all a part of the publicity circus to sell the next “hit” record and that checks my rising anger about these ordeals….
I respect the statement put out by NCFM regarding the incident between Chris Brown and Rihanna Fenty. The studies they cite aid in presenting a compelling argument.
However, I encourage everyone to take a look at these studies and do their own research before coming to a conclusion and spreading as fact what this statement represents as fact. These studies support their claims, but there may be studies that dispute them OR they may be taking findings within these studies out of context. To be clear, I am not claiming that NCFM’s statement does this. I am encouraging readers to go to the sources provided by their statement and read the actually studies yourself to gain full understanding.
In any case, I am disappointed by these events.
Approximately two months ago, Whitney Houston sat with Oprah and threw Bobby Brown under the bus. Now Rihanna is doing the same to Chris Brown. I am not saying that these men are innocent of any wrong doing, but what I am not hearing is “I did wrong too. I accept personal responsibility for my actions as well.”
Rihanna states (whether verbatim or through the magic of editing) that this happened to her and she did not choose this, and that she is speaking out because of the impact she has on young girls. However she fails to mention that she was physically violent as well. What impact will that have on young girls? Are we telling young girls that it is okay to hit and scratch, and that there should be no recourse?
If Ms. Fenty is indeed attempting to be a better role model for young girls, why not teach them to hold themselves accountable as well? More to the point, hold themselves accountable for mental physical and verbal abuse and emasculating and provocative behavior?
If we want equality, we must put these double standards behind us. If you do not tolerate hitting, verbal abuse, and other violent actions, then you can not perpetuate this behavior with your own actions. Those with clean hands who find themselves in a bad situation can utilize the legal system and other processes in place to aid victims of domestic violence.
It is time that each of us stands up and take responsibility for our own thoughts, words, actions, and habits; and more importantly, that we pass this behavior along to future generations.
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:42 PM
OH she hit chris? i thought chris said he did not remember what happened, and where are his pics afterward could have sworn i saw him perfectly fine at a gas station, and why didn’t he file charges against her alot of men have done that, dennis rodman did against carmen electra
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:44 PM
YOU ALL NEED TO STFU ABOUT THE CARIBBEAN PEOPLE BEING VIOLENT THING!!! YOU SOUND LIKE IDIOTS, DON’T TALK ABOUT A CULTURE AND A PEOPLE YOU KNOW NOTHING OR VERY LITTLE ABOUT, BECAUSE YOU SOUND PLAIN IGNORANT!
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:44 PM
Mary Lynch wacked her husband Leary some 25 times in the head with a machete, then dismembered his body and spread the pieces throughout the countryside – telling people that her Barbados-born husband was “away” on a business trip. Some business trip.
When caught, she said it was “self defense”.
Yup… sure sounds like self defense to us!
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:45 PM
My seminents exactly.
Ignorance gets them nowhere in life!
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:46 PM
How old are these kids? Let’s remember that they are kids. 19 & 20 don’t mean you’re grown. We have all done things that we wish we did not do when we were their age. That is why it is important to have guidance, which I see is lacking from both sides. Now this is simply a conspiracy, not sure how much truth this holds…
Let’s say Rihanna wanted to come out with “truth.” Do you know how much money the execs have invested in her sucess. The industry is bad and dirty place to be if you do not have good people on your side. Rihanna is business to them. If her record sale doesn’t do well, they lose money. So even if she wanted to “tell the truth” I doubt she could. She is puppet with fame and money dwindling in her face.
You have a young girl who is not that talented vocally but “has the look.” They have spent plenty of money and they will get their monies worth out of the girl. So they have no problem with her living that promiscuous life, shopping, and front row seats to all of the latest runway shows. It’s an evil business and in a way you have to sell your soul to make it or make sure you have GREAT people around.
So I think Chris and Rihanna are the victims. They both desperately need to get help. Because when the fame is gone, no one will give rats arse about them. These execs won’t care.
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:47 PM
STFU.. they didnt say anything for the last 9 months because that bitch aint say shit til her stupid ass album happens to be coming out… stfu and stfd
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:49 PM
IMO I see everyone has something to say but if your not trying to fix the problem then u can’t complain about the situation. Yes they both are wrong for hitting each other…we call all say this until we are blue in the face. We wasn’t there that night so we don’t know what happen. You heard his side and now we about to hear hers.We will never now the TRUTH on what happen. Both camps should take blame too.b/c they was around and let this happen over and over. If some didn’t hear her scream would we be talkin about this right now. If she just went home like nothing happen would we even care about DV.Me and some ladies are trying to do something to help out DV. I thank God everyday that i’ve need been in this situation, but i am trying to make a difference. ARE U???
Sidebar: have anyone notice that ri ri seem sad now in her photo’s ,but like a few weeks ago she was all smiles…mmmh…
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:49 PM
If she put her hands on him first then she got what she deserved. Any wise mother would have told their daughter don’t put dish out violence to a man unless you can eat it. So yea i understand she may be shocked cuz she didnt expect him to go upside her head. but if she assaulted him first then thats the angle she should speak out against..especially if he was driving when she wanted to act all tough…sumtimes people dont wake up till that ass feels sum pain
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:49 PM
This is a punk move by that organization. There gonna get a whole lotta guys locked up. If a woman hits a man, it’s up to that man to call the police and not hit her back. His force is 2 to 3x harsher than hers is and he will go to jail.
And where are the “reports” that she hit him several times? There are none. It’s a bunch of he say, she say stuff. Everything documented is on the mess he did.
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:51 PM
Jamaica, a parliamentary democracy, has a long history of political violence, although it has tapered off in recent years. In 1980 nearly 900 people died in violence leading up to elections.
HOW STUPID IS THIS??? and now they’ve started their killing sprees in american cities.
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:51 PM
I’m glad somebody is looking out for Chris. Obviously Rihanna’s people are trying to burry Chris and have Rihanna look like an innocent angel.
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:51 PM
One of my friend’s husband got on my youngest boy about being to rough with his daughter. I re-inforced what he said; but then I saw his daughter being rough with my oldest son, but he is old enough to know better than to retaliate. So I told him, if you want your daughter to be treated like a lady, you need to teach her how to act like one. I don’t condone what Chris did; ladies have to take responsibility for their actions as well, and it starts with teaching boys AND girls to respect each others’ boundaries.
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:54 PM
So0o0o when exactly did she have that so called strength to step away? before or after she asked the judge was it really necessary for a restraining order to be put into effect? And now she wanna talk about how stupid she was to go back and how she wants to support all women who go through domestic violence? where was she when the case was finalized? last month was national domestic violence month where was she? still prancing around in Europe making songs about shooting yourself?
I resent the fact that just because I lived in a single parent home with my mother I cannot agree with Chris Brown or support him. I do not condone what he did but I do not condone the actions that she took during and after the situation either.
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:54 PM
you know what gets me mad about rihanna.. that as soon as cb says on the radio that he wont talk about it anymore to protect her privacy and whatnot.. she comes out and pushes this kid under the bus… what a bitch.. i dont care if this was my blood sister i would call her out as a EVIL bitch.. just like you been quiet for 9 – 10 months you should keep quiet and stay away from him.
what a dumb broad.
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:54 PM
He didn’t say anything about her hitting him because people would say he was making excuses for his behavior when really there is no excuse. He’s accepting responsibility for what he did as he very well should. But Rihanna needs to take ownership as well and stop playin the victim. And it kills me how folks use the fact that they didn’t see a pic of Chris’ face as an excuse to say that she didn’t do anything. Again, the police report says it all. just because WE didn’t SEE the bruises on him don’t mean he didn’t have any. It also doesn’t mean that she didn’t hit him. No one is denying that he is bigger and stronger than her and should not have busted her up if his life wasn’t in danger. At the same time, you can’t go puttin your hands on somebody or wildin out on them and then when they bust your lip you talkin bout “but you’re bigger than me” or “you’re a man, I’m a woman…” That’s why you just keep your hands to yourself. Don’t hit anyone if you can’t take getting hit back! You just might hit the wrong Mutha*****….
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:56 PM
@nic
WE BEEN TRAVELING B8TCH. U MIGHT HAVE FOOLED US FOR A LONG TIME WITH YOUR DEVILISH SMILES AND CON GAMES. BUT CHRIS WOKE UP AND SO HAVE MANY OF US WHO KNOW YOUR SATAN WORSHIPPING AZZ.
U CAN CON SOME PEOPLE SOME OF THE TIME, BUT U CAN’T CON ALL PEOPLE, ALL THE TIME.
TIME FOR AMERICANS TO WAKE UP AND FIGHT THESE COWARDS BACK.
GOOD FOR THE MEN STANDING UP FOR CHRIS.
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:57 PM
FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m glad someone finally came out with the police report stating she hit him numerous times before the “incident”. It doesn’t make what he did right but it explains alot.
TEAM CHRIS!!!!!
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:59 PM
AGAIN, IT’S FAKE RETARDS! DO YOUR RESEARCH. DEAR GOD, WE AS A PEOPLE ARE SO FUCKING IGNORANT THAT IT UPSETS ME…
Thu, November 5, 2009 3:59 PM
I never bought any of Chris’ music cause over the age of 21 but I doubt I’ll watch any of his movies or anything else he does. It’s a wrap.
Thu, November 5, 2009 4:00 PM
thats what I’m saying.
I dont see no report. The only police report that surface was the one reporting HER injuries.
and i dont know why folks in here act like women always hit first. what about those who don’t hit at all? and still get bashed in???
Thu, November 5, 2009 4:02 PM
___________________________________________________________
where was rhianna for the past 9 months? don’t be one sided we all know that she hit him too although her blows were worst. fair is fair!
im just sorry she said anything at all now we have a whole heap of bullshit going on…SMH
i pray for these kids.
Thu, November 5, 2009 4:03 PM
caribbean coons see Chris’s manning up as a WEAKNESS!
NEVER SHOW WEAKNESS IN FRONT OF A PREDATOR. WHEN THEY SMELL BLOOD THEY GO IN FOR THE KILL.

caribbean coons see Chris’s manning up as a WEAKNESS!
NEVER SHOW WEAKNESS IN FRONT OF A PREDATOR. WHEN THEY SMELL BLOOD THEY GO IN FOR THE KILL.
but he can still win as long as he continues to take the high road. white folks cant stand predators.
if i were him, the only thing i would say is,
“I am seeking help from my pastor, trying to make restitution to the people, and I have apologized from the bottom of my heart. It is the only thing I can do. I am saddened that she has decided not to forgive me, but I understand. Thank you. No more questions.”
Thu, November 5, 2009 4:04 PM
and they definitely didnt say anything when folks were breaking his CDs.
they just want attention and using Chris for it.
Thu, November 5, 2009 4:06 PM
If it’s that serious, why aren’t the begging Chris to tell the truth? Why is it Rihanna’s duty to tell about Chris’ “abuse”…and you damn right I’m putting it in parentheses, because the abuse she can inflict on him is nothing compared to what he can do to her. Which is the whole reason people are more empathetic for women than men in abuse situations.
Thu, November 5, 2009 4:07 PM
umm, how do we know that she hit him? Did she say that? No she didn’t.
get out of imaginations and walk with the truth
Thu, November 5, 2009 4:07 PM
I don’t know the specifics of the Chris Brown/Rhianna situation (although I feel neither are innocent), but if you are woman enough to strike the first blow, and hit a man under any circumstance, you need to be woman enough to take the a#$ whooping that follows.
Real Talk.
Thu, November 5, 2009 4:10 PM
Any of you defending a man beating a woman til she’s black and blue deserve to have your gonads removed.
do NOT procreate.
Thank you.
Thu, November 5, 2009 4:13 PM
The point of the response was to bring awareness to the fact that men are abused too and ALL domestic violence needs awareness and treatment. I don’t think they were taking a side—they were taking the opportunity to spark discussion on violence against men. Also note, the response references court reports that Rihanna hit Chris Brown—that is why people are bringing up allegations that Rihanna hit him–it is a relevant point to discuss.
I agree with many of the sentiments here, no matter who you are…keep your hands to yourself. Learn to control your anger instead of letting your anger control you. Our society would be better off as a whole—less violence period.
Thu, November 5, 2009 4:14 PM
Their research is questionable and I don’t believe it for one minute. I’m gonna look into those numbers.
I know of men who would beat their wife if she squeezed the tooth paste the wrong way. The battered shelters are not filled with men hiding out with their children. I don’t buy it. Many women share the story of being either physically or mentally abused or both.
Thu, November 5, 2009 4:16 PM
rihanna is shaking in her boots i’m sure.
Thu, November 5, 2009 4:19 PM
Rihanna started it! I been sayin this since it happen you cannot expect to keep puttin your hands on folks and not eventually get ya ass kicked…everyone has their breaking point WOMEN and MEN and her ONLY motive for speaking NOW is to ONLY SELL RECORDS..lets all be real here.
Thu, November 5, 2009 4:19 PM
Shellyshell save it. Your dirty caribbeans applauded when their own Misick beat down lisa raye, and refused her entry to her own home. You dirty trash. If rihanna was an american woman they’d be applauding right now. you low life SOB

THIS IS ABOUT ETHNICITY BECAUSE IF CHRIS WAS A CARIBBEAN MAN SHE NEVER WOULD HAVE DATED HIM, AND BECAUSE SHE CHOSE THIS INNOCENT AMERICAN BOY TO VICTIMIZE AND USE LIKE ALL THE CARIBBEAN B8TCHES DO OUR GOOD BLACK AMERICAN MEN. THEY PICK THE NICE INNOCENT ONES TO DESTROY. SHE WOULDN’T HAVE EVEN TRIED THIS ON NONE OF OUR GANGSTA RAPPERS.
OH AND TO THE CARIBBEAN WHORE WHO SAID ALL AMERICAN WOMEN ARE SINGLE, YOU BETTER CHECK YOUR STATS BECAUSE WE MIGHT HAVE 70% OUT OF WEDLOCK BIRTH RATES, BUT YOUR SORRY AZZES HAVE A WHOPPING 99% OUT OF WEDLOCK RATE. EVERYONE KNOWS YOU AND YOUR MEN NEVER MARRY EACH OTHER BECAUSE YOU’RE ALL TOO BUSY PROSTITUTING TO THE TOURIST TO TRY AND GET TO AMERICA.
Thu, November 5, 2009 4:21 PM
Wooooowwwww!
Damn! No one can pay me to be a celebrity.
Thu, November 5, 2009 4:22 PM
so if rihanna says to chris, YOU GAY. he hits her.
is that provocation?
rihanna could have said anything VERBALLY and he hit her.
it does not have to be physical provocation.
Thu, November 5, 2009 4:25 PM
Americanhater- as an American whose family is west indian, I am deeply insulted at your prejudice.
I have no idea why you have such disdain for carribean people but you are very ignorant, hateful and mean.
Thu, November 5, 2009 4:28 PM
Wow, thanks for doing your part to uplift us “black women”. You are so thoughtful with all of your stereotypes of us.
——————————————————–
Thu, November 5, 2009 4:30 PM
I agree!!! There is two sides too every story!! I believe she hit him numerous times and he couldnt take it anymore!!! If you hit him like a man prepare to get hit like a man!!! Everybody need to stop beating down CB and look at the problem. She is protrayed as an “american sweetheart” and thats a f-in lie!!! She need to take her violent azz back to her own country!!! VA HAS YOUR BACK CHRIS!!!!
Thu, November 5, 2009 4:32 PM
DON’T COMPARE THIS SITUATION WITH ONE WHERE A BITCH ASS DUDE
BEATS THE BREAKS OFF A FEMALE BECAUSE SHE DIDN’T RESPOND TO
HIM QUICK ENOUGH OR HIS FOOD WASN’T DONE ON TIME OR JUST
BECAUSE HE FELT LIKE IT THIS DOES NOT COMPARE.
Thu, November 5, 2009 4:34 PM
I’m glad they called Rihanna out. Am I the only one who thought her interview seemed so rehearsed. Or maybe it was her poor English skills. But anywho, she really needs to admit to her wrongs as well. Everyone busy pointing fingers at Breezy cause he is a guy. If a female feels she is tough enough to hit a dude, then she is tough enough to take a beating as well.
Thu, November 5, 2009 4:39 PM
Very well said. And I believe that NCFM has a great point as well. If your going to talk about the situation, talk about your role in it. That is exactly what he did, and didn’t speak further about what she did. That wasnt his place, just as it isnt hers.
Thu, November 5, 2009 4:41 PM
Wow, its astounding how as women we keep bringing each other down. This coalition is clearly taking a side and atleast 99% of the women here are applauding. Shocking! When will we ever learn that men will always use us for their selfish reasons and dump us in the end?. Where was this coalition when Chris pleaded guilty and didn’ t stop him because Rihanna was equally to blame? Where were they when Chris had a memory block on Larry King? I feel sorry for all of you talking about CB being put under the bus when he himself pleaded guilty to assault. You are the same people who teach your kids, sisters, brothers, aunties, uncles… to not snitch while our young men and women are killed in our neighborhoods. Both Ri and Chris need to tell the truth but its clear people take Chris’s side of the story as gospel truth.
And for those of you questioning why Rihanna is speaking now, the girl has to make a living. If she meant to destroy CB’s career, she would have taken to talk shows immediately after the incident but she never did this. Now that she is promoting an albulm, the incident is like this huge elephant sitting in a room! It can’t be ignored.
Thu, November 5, 2009 4:43 PM
Amen Sister! and fuck the The National Coalition For Men they are ignorant to this shit as well! This is coming from a female who’s been in a domestic violence relationship, none of these fools have any idea what it’s really like. If she put her hands on the fucker CB it’s probably because she was trying to defend herself. So again, Amen to you TriniTing!
Thu, November 5, 2009 4:43 PM
REALLY???? Before you spout out facts, you need to know that those guns were provide by our lovely government who wanted to prevent another Cuba.
West Indian are no more violent than Americans. Black Americans have been killing each other way before West Indians migrated here.
We are all black folks struggling
Thu, November 5, 2009 4:45 PM
YES! It’s about fucking time.. she wanna play the victim role like..he came outta NO WHERE and just molly whopped her ass..
keep ya hands to yourself, didn’t ya parents teach you that…hit and expect to get hit back
but yea, um Chris you should of left that ass in the car before it got to the point where you were gonna break on her like you did..
so sad, people don’t wanna take responsibility for their actions.. Rihanna be HONEST! you little fans can learn alot if you take responsibility for YOUR actions.. Chris has and so should you.
Thu, November 5, 2009 4:46 PM
Well stated… co-sign
Thu, November 5, 2009 4:50 PM
BIIIITTTCHHHHHHH who the hell u calling dirty. All carribean people….shiiiiiittt.. BIIIITTCCHHHH please…NEXT!!!!!
Thu, November 5, 2009 4:51 PM
After Reading all these comments, I see why Black women continue to loss, get your minds right women.
Thu, November 5, 2009 4:54 PM
VERY good point.
Thu, November 5, 2009 4:56 PM
If Rihanna assaulted Chris than why wasnt she charged? Most of the time, when there is domestic violence, both people will be arrested. Who said she hit Chris first? Chris told Larry King he blacked out and had no memory of what happened. Even if she hit him first, he could have pulled over and got out of the car. Getting smacked upside the head because your screwing around is not the same as beating a chick till the white meat shows.
Thu, November 5, 2009 4:56 PM
Rihanna should have done the honest, decent thing and take responsibilty for the part she played!
Thu, November 5, 2009 4:57 PM
I think a lot of people showing their support is a slap to the millions of women who are abused daily. This organization is trying to make you believe that men are abused more than women and I think that is false.
You have so many “fans” caught up in CB because he’s a celeb that they want to turn everything on her and it’s sad. It’s also the sad state of young people who have no respect for themselves or each other. Men don’t respect women anymore because these parents today aren’t teaching them too. I don’t care anything about if they come from single parent households because old school mothers still managed to make their sons respect women.
He beat her with excessive force and nothing can change that fact.
Thu, November 5, 2009 4:58 PM
THIS IS ABOUT ETHNICITY BECAUSE IF CHRIS WAS A CARIBBEAN MAN SHE NEVER WOULD HAVE DATED HIM, AND BECAUSE SHE CHOSE THIS INNOCENT AMERICAN BOY TO VICTIMIZE AND USE LIKE ALL THE CARIBBEAN B8TCHES DO OUR GOOD BLACK AMERICAN MEN. THEY PICK THE NICE INNOCENT ONES TO DESTROY. SHE WOULDN’T HAVE EVEN TRIED THIS ON NONE OF OUR GANGSTA RAPPERS.
bitch do you even know chris’s ethnicity or anything about his background.AS FOR YANKEE MEN I WILL NEVER TAKE ONE SERIOUSLY MUCH LESS DATE. YOU CAN HAVE THESE NIGGAS SPECIALLY CHRIS the yankee part of him that is.
Thu, November 5, 2009 4:59 PM
WHOA! THE BEEF BETWEEN AMERICAN BLACKS AND CARRIBEAN BLACKS IS GETTING REAL HEATED RIGHT NOW. WHAT IS GOING ON HERE????
Thu, November 5, 2009 5:01 PM
I don’t think they are making him out to be a victim…I believe that they are right when they say if she is going to tell the truth, she should take responsibility for her actions as well. Everyone knows that she has been violent toward him in the past. Though no one is co-signing for CB’s beatdown on Feb 8th. We know that she struck first and should be held accountable…I wonder if he had just walked away that night and then put her on blast about her violent behavior what would white america and all the media outlets have to say…NOTHING…DV is not right whether it’s man on woman or woman on man…NOT ACCEPTABLE!
Thu, November 5, 2009 5:06 PM
Now I hope the battered womens groups step in with their numbers. Where is this mens organization on the daily when celebs are not involved. We consistently hear about domestic violence groups for women because they just show up when celebs are involved to boost their organization.
I know a guy who’s girl hit him and after a while of holding her slapped her to get her off of him(not to beat her down), she then pulled a knife, when the cops were called, she went to jail for pulling a weapon. So don’t tell me they won’t arrest women too. They will. But when it’s not self-defense and the force is excessive, then that dudes going to jail.
Thu, November 5, 2009 5:07 PM
Sigh…nothing but pure ignorance on this blog. It’s a damn shame. Now I see why Black women will continue having babies by men who don’t want them, getting beat on, getting left high and dry, used and abused…because too many don’t even have enough sense to understand that at the very minimum a man shouldn’t brutally beat the crap out of them under any circumstances. I grew up witnessing domestic violence in the home so I know first hand that there are some men who are just animals that get a kick out of beating the crap out of their spouses. At least my mom had the strength to get out of those situations and teach me to never ever put up with that from a man.
NCM should be ashamed of themselves because they sound like a bunch of straight up b!tches. If Rihanna did something inappropriate that night then Chris Brown had the opportunity to speak on it. If they were even a remotely credible organization they wouldn’t be quoting a gossip site about what happened that night (especially when the official court documents completely refute the notion that she attacked him).
Thu, November 5, 2009 5:16 PM
Wow…Ok I have a question where was this coalition of men during the trial…..some of you people need to wake up. It’s funny how women are so willing to defend and fight for a no good ass man but cannot fight for their fellow sister. How pathetic….”she needs to own up to her abuse too”…..what fuckin’ abuse were ya’ll in the car did you see what happened?!?!? So I guess I’m the only one who saw the picture of her face. It makes since now why both were so quite because she went back to him and he probably hoping that she would stay to help his image. Obviously there was more of a case against chris and not her because I’m sure his all star legal team could have go him from not having to plea to a felony charge or would have asked for the DA to bring similar charges. Chris is in my book a piece of shit and he should have to pay for his actions.
Thu, November 5, 2009 5:17 PM
Tell the whole truth Rihanna or STFU please!
Thu, November 5, 2009 5:17 PM
But you’re on an “American” blog?? How long did it take for you to come up with this thought process?? If you have such disdain for Americans stay off our blogs.
Thu, November 5, 2009 5:19 PM
Cris woulda never pulled that beat down on another GROWN ASS man, or any man for that matter even if he was getting slapped, hit and physically abused. Had that been another dude he was in the car with that started slapping, punching, him he woulda pulled ova with da quickness and got his black azz out that car, he sho as hell woulda “controlled” his emotions then, despite him getting to his so called “breaking point”. But since Ri Ri is a female and he knew he was physically stronger than her he did not control his emotions he just let it all out, therefore she is the VICTIM!
DV is wrong on both sides. I don’t care how you try to call it aint no grown ass man biting another dude in a fight, that is a SISSY move! And all u females in here that are standing up for this bullshit Men’s organization….breaks my heart. All they’re doing is trying to make what CB did less wrong to their own advantage. Women need to learn to stick together and maybe sum of this shit would be eliminated.
Thu, November 5, 2009 5:29 PM
i dont get that whole” i dont remeber” thing either.. but he could have blacked out.. i always knew chris brown wasnt the brightest crayon in the box but he is not that dumb to say that.. since he was in a home where he seen domestic violence u never know.. i dont mean to get all dr. phil on yall but those things afffect people in the weirdest was mentally.. u never know wat was goin threw his head while she was hiting him.. thats all im sayin
Thu, November 5, 2009 5:34 PM
all this talk about physical advantage needs to cease. Do you know how may dudes there are that are bigger and stronger than me? If I swing on that dude, it don’t matter if he bigger he gone try and fuck me up. If you know you can’t win against a man, why hit him?
Thu, November 5, 2009 5:34 PM
wooooow at that comment.. im not a patriot or anything close but wat u are sayin is bul cuz things like this happen everywhre…. and when ppl say she deserves it is cuz she hit him first…. just cuz she is a woman doesnt mean she doesnt deserved to get punched back.. alot of women like to taunt men goin up to them say ” hit me, hit i dare u” and then when they finally do they wanna call 5-0.. listen chris is worng and so IS RIHANNA.. no one is innocent in this situation no matter wat she says… the reports say it all
Thu, November 5, 2009 5:36 PM
Bout time people face FACTS.
Rihanna pretty much summed it when she implied that she would still be with Chris if it were not for her FANS ( and Handlers).
I think everyone is pretty much aware that they were both at great fault here no matter who came out with the most bruises. I bet in the past Chris just hid his as most men in this situation do.
If she was going to “break the silence” she should have let it all out or just keep it smooth and hidden like Chris in his interviews.
I would have had more respect for her if she not only threw Chris under the bus but also be smart enough to be honest about the part she played in this situation. Honestly that would have been damn historic and a career booster for her. Face up even while you snitch on another instead of acting like a TOTAL ANGEL that you are not.
She and Chris can go hide under a rock together for all I care!
Thu, November 5, 2009 5:36 PM
Black women are so fucked up in the head. I am not black I am Puerto Rican and call me racist if you want to but I am speaking the truth. Right after this went down in Feb I was at a beauty shop to get my hair done and they were talking about the Chris Brown and Rihanna situation. Now these were BLACK WOMEN saying “she should not have hit him.” “She must have provoked him, you don’t hit a man first and not expect an ass whopping.” Now I see why black women have multiple babies by men that will not marry them, why their sons and daughters are having babies so young. What you say as people on these blogs DO EFFECT HOW PEOPLE VIEW YOU AS A PERSON. Now I could see you speaking for BOTH sides of the situation. But to defend the man’s side and blame your fellow black woman and leave her in the dust just speaks volumes. Like I said I don’t care if you think my comment is racist. I am not racist towards black people. What white people do is no different. But I am just saying that what you say on blogs and in person reflects how people view you as a race and a community.
Thu, November 5, 2009 5:37 PM
UHMM HELLO.. SHE IS SPEAKING ON IT NOW. BEFORE THE TRIAL SHE WAS QUIET.. SHE IS SAYING THAT HE DID THIS AND DID THAT AND DIDNT TAKE UP FOR ANYTHING.. THATS WHY …
Thu, November 5, 2009 5:39 PM
I co-sign 100 ….because people believe that you had no father, low self esteem because you agree that she isn’t innocent…..wrong I think that people allow girls to get away with a lot a boy can’t say a girl abuses him because everyone will laugh because she is a girl and he is a boy and he is suppose to be stronger than her but I think he should of handled it differently but he didn’t so he has to live with it for the rest of the life because he is now known as an abuser I think she should of elaborated a little more about what really happened but to each its own.
Thu, November 5, 2009 5:41 PM
This ish needs to be in the foolywang section.
I can beat up Rihanna and I’m a female. If she hit me, I wouldn’t hit her back because I’m not a violent person. I would call the cops on her.
Psycho Chris being the more physically stronger person could have walked away. Only very violent people feel the need to hit a person back when attack. That’s why there are so many murder/homicide cases because of this stupid belief.
Thu, November 5, 2009 5:42 PM
I’m sorry but I don’t know about ya’ll but I had my share of fights growing up and I can tell you that when someone hit me I lit a fire in they ass until somebody could pull me off. Like if you are set off, you aren’t necessarily thinking this person is smaller/bigger than me…at least i wasn’t. At the end of the day if a woman knows a man is bigger/stronger don’t hit him unless that’s an ass whippin’ you’re willing to take. I’m not saying Rhianna did or didn’t but if you lay hands prepare to have hands laid on you. I don’t want to hear he didn’t have to do her like that bec/ anyone woman with sense would know she could be done like that and would keep her hands to herself. Mutual DV will always sit different with me than one sided in terms of blame…it’s shared.
Thu, November 5, 2009 5:42 PM
you say our gangster rappers the same rappers that rap about guns and drug and niggas and hoes and then going home to a gated community with their security knowing they influence youg people.chris said on the martinez show it was for his URBAN audience thats what he thinks of you thats why he wanted rihanna.THEIR IS NO BEEF BETWEEN YANKEES AND US NO MORE WE WERE NEVER THAT CLOSE TO EACH OTHER TO BEGIN WITH.
Thu, November 5, 2009 5:46 PM
For you to even mention “Now I see why black women have multiple babies by men that will not marry them, why their sons and daughters are having babies so young” please please do me a favor and save it! Like Hispanics dont have the same issues! Like black women are the ONLY race that has kids at a young age. And how does having children at a yong age have to to do with this situation. You are beyond racist….. pure ignorant is what I call your comment. Domestic violence is wrong, whether it be man or woman who is the aggressor. Reality is, if the girl did hit him, she should be prepared to be hit back. Does that make it right?! Hell no! He should have restrained her not whooped her ass, which Im sure some of her bruises came from hitting her head on that dash board.
If you would like, I can get on her and spit out numbers about Puerto Ricans and all hispanics. Please stop beig so simple minded. Would you like it if I said “You are one of those Puerto Rican chicks that love hitting and beating thehell out of her man and just KNOW he better not lay a hand on me!” I wont do that though because Im not filled with ignorance and stereotypes of people.
*meditating rubbing my belly trying to calm my baby down*
Thu, November 5, 2009 5:47 PM
First of all you sound like a sonofabitch. I don’t think ANY of us have the right to judge because NONE of us really knows what happens. That in itself should cause you to shush up this bull you are spewing. At the end of the day violence is violence no matter if it is coming from estrogen or testosterone. We all saw the pics and the proof is in the pudding. Chris hit rihanna. We get it. Its done now. I don’t know what else you want people to say. If people want to defend Chris then they have that right and YOU don’t have the right to judge them. Actually, none of us have the right to judge them, but then again we wouldn’t all be on this guide typing up comments now would we? (now for my opinion) I personally think they both are to blame. Just because you never saw footage of Chris’s face or injuries from rihanna tearing up in his a**, doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. But you don’t want to look at that. You want to look at Chris and demean his character for his mistakes. (for which he should be punished) So to sum this all up…calm down homie, its not your problem to be this invested and this judgmental…peace
Thu, November 5, 2009 5:49 PM
If Rihanna had died at the hands of Psycho Brown, would the NCFM think that Rihanna was responsible for her own death because she hit him first? SMDH.
I think the NCFM would better it’s purpose if they taught men how to respond when things get heated. Because the bottomline in most abused cases is the Great MAJORITY of WOMEN die at the hands of the men. Very few men die at the hands of women.
Thu, November 5, 2009 5:51 PM
people are really defending this DV issue and trying to justify it because they think she started the fight?! this is just as fucking ridiculous as defending a rapist for raping a woman because she decided to wear a sexy dress.
WOMEN NEED TO SUPPORT WOMEN! THIS IS WHY MOST OF US AND IM SURE PLENTY OF YOU KEEPING GOING BACK TO THE WRONG MEN. I BET YOU CAN RELATE TO RIHANNA’S STORY MORE THAN YOU KNOW.
Thu, November 5, 2009 5:52 PM
RIHANNA HITTING CHRIS BROWN IS NOT A FACT. The men of NCFM should be ashamed of themselves for citing an article that lists TMZ and The Sun as their sources. Those are TABLOIDS. The fact remains that there has been NO evidence, in court or otherwise, that Rihanna was physically violent towards Chris Brown. The end.
Thu, November 5, 2009 5:53 PM
I do think she needs to own up, too.
I doubt this was a one-sided volatile relationship.
Domestic abuse is a horrible thing for any male or female to go through.
Thu, November 5, 2009 5:55 PM
I see people going for real ignorant at this site!
The National Coalition of Men-Must be a joke!
Number One: he is a man who is stronger than her..guess what? walk out…get out the car and leave her alone! if he went stupid like that(which i don’t believe)…and further more he could have restrained her WITHOUT BEATING HER FACE IN! and threatening to KILL HER!
Sounds like excuses…people need to check their family background to figure why they think domestic violence is ok EVER! Its not…I’m Sure C.B. disrespected her in some way that made her react how she did in that car…so let’s come clear on that too while we are asking people to keep it real!
Any woman talking stupid on these sites is probaly one with low self esteem
I, like Rihanna DESERVE Loyality, Respect, True Friendship and Love from any man that’s trying to be a part of my life as my boyfriend or husband….OK Ladies seek some help or a mentor or a role model cause some of yall sound like you need one.
Thu, November 5, 2009 5:56 PM
How do you know that she has anything to take up for…..once agian people are making assumptions to save this no talent coon. Unless your ass or everyone else claiming this inside knowledge of this event was in the back seat or the trunk of the car….STFU. I’m going by what was decided in the court of law. What person in their right mind will take a felony on their record especially if the other party was “equally” responsible. I hope this next interview (what is this now interview number 3) he worked with a speech coach so he won’t come off as so damn unintelligent……AGAIN.
Thu, November 5, 2009 6:02 PM
WHILE YOUR AT IT SUPPORT THE LITTLE HOODLUMS THAT KILLED DERION ALBERT AFTER BEING PROVOKED YOU SAW THE VIDEO IT WAS A MISTAKE. TOO BAD THEY CANT SING AND DANCE.IF THEY GOT HOME AND HE GOT A KITCHEN KNIFE I’M SURE YOU DUMB CUNTS WOULD BLAME A DEAD RIHANNA.
Thu, November 5, 2009 6:05 PM
I guess Chris Brown’s mama deserved what she got at the hands of her ex-husband. She shouldn’t have hit her ex-husband and he wouldn’t have F her up. I don’t know why Chris Brown’s mama filed court papers against her ex-husband. Since she started the mess she deserved all the beatings she got.
Ain’t this what the NCFM is claiming.
Thu, November 5, 2009 6:06 PM
Agreed. Got damn TMZ. That’s laughable!
Thu, November 5, 2009 6:08 PM
OK.. WELL IF U WANNA GO THERE HOW DO U KNOW SHE DOESNT HAVE ANYTHING TO TAKE UP FOR.. MIND U THEY R GOING OFF OF THE POLICE REPORTS NOT OPINIONS.. SO U ARE LYING WHEN U SAY U ARE BASING UR OPINIONS OFF OF THE COURT OF LAW.. UR BASING IT FOR UR OWN BIASED REASON.. I SEE U CALLED CHRIS A NO TALENT COON , U OBVIOUSLY DONT LIKE HIM.. I DONT LIKE EITHER.. AND WHEN I FIRST HEARD ABOUT THE INCIDENT I SHOOK MY HEAD IN EMBARRASMENT FOR THEM… CHRIS DESERVES TO BE PUNISHED .. AND SO DOES SHE… HE WOULD TAKE THE FELONY SIMPLY CUZ THAT MAY HAVE BEEN THE SMARTES THING TO DO CONSIDERING HIS LAWYER TOLD HIM TO DO THAT… AS WELL AS HE MAY HAVE FELT CORNERED AND HE WOULD LOOK STUPID IF HE TRIED TO GO AGAINST HIS ACTIONS.. YESS CHRIS HIT HER… BUT U MAY NOT KNOW WHY… WE ALWAYS KEEP HEARING OF RUMORS THAT SHE WAS JEALOUS.. AND AS WELL AS SUMONE ON HEAR SAID… IF U KNOW U ARE NO MATCH TO SOMEONE WHY HIT THEM AND START A FIGHT?
Thu, November 5, 2009 6:11 PM
if a man is in a bar and another man hit he has a right to defend is self. If he almost kills the man. then the person who defending himself could go to jail. If he kills the man the system will say he went over board in defending himself.
if Rhi did slap chris. Choking her until she black out it ok. ARE YOU SERIOUS. ARE TELLING ME CHRIS COULDN’T HOLD RHI DOWN OR SIT ON HER. WHAT SHE A BUCK 120 WET.
Please, this is a sad state of affair when we blame rhi for chris beating her up. how do you know he didn’t hit her first. mug her or put his finger to her head or push her head. All I know if both of them went in the police that night and she looked jacked up. Are you crazy?
what wrong with you people. THIS DUDE COULD HAVE KILLED HER.
and your saying her slapping him gives him a reason to choker her until she was black out.
THE NIEHBOR CALLED THE POLICE BECAUSE THEY HEARD SCREAMING.
Pay attention people. The boy needed help. Hopefully chris will get it.
Thu, November 5, 2009 6:14 PM
Ya’ll said it all for me!!! DITTO!!!!!!!!
Thu, November 5, 2009 6:18 PM
We weren’t even supposed to see Rihannas face but two WOMAN released that shit. Nobody released Chris’ face because everyone is on the womans side…the supposed victim!
Thu, November 5, 2009 6:21 PM
national coalition of free men? wow…is this an organization for black men…. men experience violence but not the kind of systemic violence women experience
if she slapped him, or whatever they’re alleging, it’S totally justified that he bit her, slammed her head into the window/dashboard/whatever else…..poor defenseless Chris Brown
Thu, November 5, 2009 6:21 PM
I so agree. Both should fess up and then shut up. I am soooooooooo tired of this story.
Thu, November 5, 2009 6:21 PM
GOOD POINT! YOUR RIGHT ABOUT THE WHOLE RAPPIST THING.. BUT JUST CUZ RIHANNA IS A WOMEN MEANS THAT IT IS OK FOR HER TO HIT CHRIS.. THIS IS WHY I CANT JUMP ON THE RIH BANDWAGON CUZ AS MUCH AS IM NOT A VOILENT PERSON IF SUMONE KEEP HITTING ME IN MY FACE, MY FACE ESPECIALLY! I WOULD LOOSE IT.. AND CONSIDERING THAT FACT THAT HE CAME FROM A VIOLENT HOME THAT MAKES IT WORSE… SO RIHANNA BEING BEAT UP , I WOULDNT SAY IT WAS DESERVING BUT IF SHE DIDNT WANT IT SHE SHOULDNT HAVE ASKED FOR IT… THATS ALL… BUT THEN AGAIN WIT THAT RAPPIST THING.. IF A WOMAN IS WALKING DOWN THE STREET WIT HER TITTIES LITTERALLY OUT AND GETS RAPED.. SHE IS PARTLY TO BALME… THERE AERE WOMAN WHO DRESS LIKE FUCKIN HOES TO CLUBS AND SHIT WEARING JEANS THAT HAVE THE BACK POCKETS CUT OUT SHOWING THEIR ASSES AND WHEN SOME PERVERTED GUY COMES AND RAPES THEM THEY CANT SAY MUCH CUZ THEY WERE BASICALLY ASKIING FOR IT..
Thu, November 5, 2009 6:23 PM
i knew as soon as the albums were releasing that more details about this issue would come out. was chris wrong, of course. should he be judged, hmmmm…i say lest not judge yet u be. we have probrably all been at a point were we were fumming mad about something that if we were a spectator on the scene would have totally overlooked the drama, especially when we see an individual getting angry beyond the normal limits. only real thing people should get out of this is learn from whats happenend here. dudes, if u r dating a chick that pops the top off over anything or brings out an ugly side in u then leave it alone. ladies don’t deal with anyone hitting u when there angry and defends it as love. 2 sides to every story i know…but end result is ur the only 1 responisble 4 u!!! be strong and get out of any situation that’s asking for the worst side of ur character to come out cuz it’s not worth hurting someone in the heat of the moment or having to defend ur intergrity. short end of the stick chris…
Thu, November 5, 2009 6:24 PM
When Larry King asked Psycho Brown if he had hit Rihanna before, why didn’t he answer the question? I thought it was a fair question, why didn’t Psycho Brown answer the question.
Thu, November 5, 2009 6:25 PM
I’m not going to go back and forth with you…I have my opinions and you have yours. There have also been rumors about chris and his temper especially him flipping out on his mother a couple of times. But of course people look over that “small” detail. I’ve also head that she has a temper as well and if the situation was reversed and she beat him like he did her then I would still feel the same way because he would be the victim.I wasn’t being biased because if she had hit him first like they said she did then I’m sure the DA would also have had a case against her. And quite frankly this if you hit me I’m going to hit you back is such a juvenile and barbaric mentality. How about if she did hit him he stop the car and have his security team that was following them take her back to the hotel room. He also left her on the side of the road…so he decided to leave her there while more than likely he was contacting his legal team…what a man. Unless rihanna had a gun, knife, machete, bomb, grenade, or some other dangerous weapon then that beating that he gave her was not warranted.
Thu, November 5, 2009 6:25 PM
Shooting at Fort Hood today!!!!!!!!! Please pray for our fallen soldiers. It is really crazy here. EVERYTHING is locked down in the area. AGian, pray 4 us b/c one is on the run.
Thu, November 5, 2009 6:26 PM
From what I heard. That night wasn’t the first time he hit her. Also the time she came on Tyra with that twisted foot was said to be Chris browns doing. thats what I heard. Plus, why isn’t he saying anything? My thing is, he’s a man. even if she hit him first, he shouldn’t have struck her. much less like that. He’s stupid. Its ridiculous that young girls are flocking over him still and dogging her when the same thing can happen to them as well. Just Sad. Thats why a lot of them find themselves in trouble cause they love these so called thugs.
Thu, November 5, 2009 6:34 PM
WOW (TRINITING) I AM A BLACK MAN AND REALLY CAN’T BELIEVE HOW YOU ARE ATTACKING ANY BLACK WOMAN THAT HAS DECIDED TO STATE THEIR VIEWS WHEN YOURS ARE SOLELY BASED OFF OF YOUR OPINIONS. THEY HAVE THE RIGHT TO FEEL HOWEVER THEY MAY AND NOT FEEL LESS THAN A WOMAN FOR IT.
AS FAR AS CHRIS OR RIHANNA GOES……..YOU DONT PLACE YOUR HANDS ON ANYONE ARE WE ALL INNOCENT OURSELVES…..I DOUBT IT HIGHLY. NONE OF US WERE THERE THROUGH OUT THE RELATIONSHIP TO ACT LIKE WE KNOW THE FACTS OR CAST JUDGMENT….IF SOME OF US REMEMBER OUR PLACE IN LIFE WE WILL REMEMBER IT ISNT OUR PLACE TO JUDGE ANYHOW.
BACK TO YOU (TRINITING) ANY ABUSE IS NOT ACCEPTABLE….ALL THE THINGS YOU SAID ABOUT THESE WOMEN WAS WAY OUT OF LINE AND YOU MAY…NO…YOU NEED TO CHECK YOURSELF BEFORE YOU GO ABOUT TELLING OTHERS ABOUT THEMSELVES. WHAT YOU HAVE SAID MAKES YOU NO BETTER THAN THE ACTIONS OF THESE TWO INDIVIDUALS. KEEP IN MIND THAT WORDS CAN MAKE WOUNDS DEEPER THAN ANY PHYSICAL INFLICTION COULD. ALSO THEY MAY TAKE LONGER TO HEAL.
WOMEN LIKE YOU I FEEL MOST SORRY FOR….STATE YOUR VIEW BUT DONT TEAR ANOTHER DOWN FOR THEIRS
MYLES VANCE- SGLAM
Thu, November 5, 2009 6:35 PM
WOOOW @ THE HAVE HIS SECURITTY TEAM HANDLE IT.. U GUYS TALK LIKE THESE PEOPLE ARE NOT HUMAN… HOW DO U KNOE HE HAD A SECUIRTY TEAM BEHIND HIM .. AND SO WAT IF HE DID MUST THEY HANDLE ..PLZ DONT PREACH THINGS THAT U DONT PRACTICE.. THATS JUST LIKE IN SKOO WHEN U GET ITNO A FIGHT… AND THE TEACHER BE LIKE U SHOULDN HAVE HIT THEM BBAC AND JUST CALLED SUMONE.. LIKE THEY WOULD DO THAT.. For real? Psycho Brown busted Rihanna’s foot? Damn shame! I hope Rihanna learned a valuable lesson with this Psycho. Alot of women think they can change a man. Psycho Brown was damaged goods from the start. She probably saw signs of his psycho behavior but refused to acknowledge it. Well, Rihanna learnt the hard way.
Thu, November 5, 2009 6:55 PM
How you know that Psycho Brown’s momma didn’t hit the ex-husband? Why would he beat her ass down if she didn’t hit him first? I believe she did that’s why he whoop her ass. According to NCFM, since Momma Brown hit first, she deserved those ass whoopings.

Half these chicks in this post ain’t got no We live in an amazing country were a dude could go from being a woman beater to being back in the limelight in the same calendar year. Where are the morals and where is the logic in the females head who steadily back this dude. Don’t get me wrong i like transform ya its a solid song and crawl is better but in the back of my head i can’t flat out support a dude who did that to a female even if she did strike him first and especially if this ain’t his first time doing so. It’s just really sad that people are coming at her head now when she is telling her side isn’t this what You all wanted? Good Luck to Chris and Her in their careers.
Thu, November 5, 2009 6:59 PM
Did you not read and/or research the statistics reported in the article???? Violence of women on men is not taken as seriously or talked about as much as men on women, that doesn’t mean that it doesn’t happen. This is NOT a man vs woman arguement, this is a STOP THE VIOLENCE arguement… meaning everybody KEEP YOUR HANDS TO YOU DAMN SELF, women & men!
Thu, November 5, 2009 7:01 PM
Fuck the NCFMotherfuckers!!! I wanna see these cheerleading bitches screaming when a white man puts his hand on a black woman.
Yall some bitches, crying over a female( a black female at that), like she strong enough to put the beat down on Chris.
When yall stand up to these white mutherfuckers, then you can put out a statement. Till then FUCK Yall! Punk Ass Motherfuckers!!!
Thu, November 5, 2009 7:02 PM

Thu, November 5, 2009 7:07 PM
LOL how else would chris not be on the scene….I guess he can fly now or he fled on foot…..she threw the keys out the window and the car was still there when the police arrived…..Now on to the other statements that you made pertaining to me: I am practicing what I preach because I am a young adult female that has never fought anyone because I’m not an ignorant ass for number one and I knew that if I fought in high school and had a bad reputation then I wouldn’t get into my top school of choice (which I did). I knew that I had a future and the chicks who wanted to “fight” me didn’t so I didn’t waste my time on those birds. I never put myself in situations where I feel that I might jeopardize my safety or others. So no I can’t relate to your comment about being in a fight in “Skoo” LMFAO. Don’t speak on me because you don’t know me. There are alway repercussions for our actions, chris is reaping his and I just hope that they both learn from this situation and heal accordingly.

I LOVE RHIANNA AND CHRIS BROWN. BUT I AGREE WITH ALOT OF YOU ON HER. SHE PLAYED APART AS WELL AS HIM. I DO NOT CONDONE DOMESTIC VIOLENCE IN ANYWAY. BUT I BELIEVE THIS GIRL(RHIANNA) PUSHED CB TO HIS LIMIT. LIKE I TELL EVERYONE IF A BULLY MESS WITH YOU EVERYDAY SOONER THEN LATER YOU WILL TRY TO FIGHT BACK. ITS ALWAYS 3 SIDES TO A STORY. HIS,HERS AND THE TRUTH. I THINK RHIANNA IS BEING A REAL BITCH BY TRYING TO PUT CB UNDER THE BUS. NOT ONCE IN ANY OF HIS INTERVIEWS HAVE HE SAID ANYTHING BAD ABOUT HER. LITTLE DO RHIANNA KNOW HER ALBUM STILL WONT SALE LIKE THAT. SHE HAS BEEN PLAYING THE VICTIM FOR A LONG TIME AND PEOPLE ARE TIRED OF IT. RHIANNA JUST RECENTLY STOPPED CALLED CB..DID YALL UNDERSTAND WHAT IM SAYING SHE JUST STOP TEXTING AND CALLING HIM BEFORE THIS INTERVIEW IS COMING OUT. WHAT DOES THAT SAY ABOUT HER.THEY BOTH DID WRONG AND SHE KNOW SHE WANTS TO BE WITH CB BUT DUE TO THE JUDGE ORDER SHE WONT AND SHE DONT WANT HER FANS TO TURN ON HER. RHIANNA BOO YOU ARE NOT FOOLING ANYONE YOU ONLY DOING THIS BECAUSE YOUR ALBUM IS ABOUT TO DROP.
Thu, November 5, 2009 7:12 PM
Sweetie I was responding to something someone else said. I didn’t say that. Go back and read the comments again. Please notice my question mark.
Thu, November 5, 2009 7:15 PM
I see you misunderstood my statement. Tar Baby….the recipe for a domestic violent scene are not all the same. I am not saying if that did or didnt happened for i was not there.
On another note…I dont believe that the NCFM are condoning Chris’s actions but wanting what a lot of us wants (even though in reality its not our business)THE TRUTH.
If this interview is for all of the young women out in the world dealing with these types of disputes. I would think the story would be more effective for many out there if it was told in its entirety (if there is more to know). Violence or abuse in any way shape or form is not acceptable.
I think the NCFM wants the whole entire story. With that being said, Rihanna is not the only responsible party. Chris would need to do the same.
Hopefully this straitens this misunderstanding a bit.

OMG ppl that was only a 5 minute clip of a one hour interview, and she did kind of fess up. “The more WE became in love the more dangerous WE were to EACH OTHER’ Keyword WE. And are you guys forgeting Tight ass pants wearing Chris Brown is not the victim Rihanna us!
Thu, November 5, 2009 7:28 PM
Whatever, Men if your woman is beating your ass. Leave…ITS SIMPLE…DO NOT HIT HER. Just leave. If she is famous make sure you get a video of her doing it to you. I know this occurs in gay relationships too. The answer is Therapy and LEAVE the abuser. The police and the public can do jack if u decide to stay.
Thu, November 5, 2009 7:28 PM
shitty sites know how to get hit just hate on rihanna.
Thu, November 5, 2009 7:31 PM
lmao @ the ike turner part. I’m at work cracking up
Thu, November 5, 2009 7:34 PM
I’m with NCFM. You people attacking NCFM, or pointing out Chris’ violence, are diverting from the point, which is that Rihanna should be HONEST about what SHE did too. If the genders were reversed, and he slapped her and then she hurt him bad (stabbed, etc.), you wouldn’t be saying to ignore his slaps just because she caused more damage. You only say that now because of gender, because you don’t think female violence matters. But it does. We have represented many male victims of DV in court and had to fight to overturn the laws in California that exclude male victims of DV from services. How is that ok? Male victims and their children were being sent far away because nobody would even give them even a hotel to stay in or any services.
Female-on-male violence is totally ignored by the mass media, including Oprah, because it’s not politically correct. The data they cite is criminal justice data which is unreliable because men don’t report as much and society still doesn’t think it’s a “crime” when womeen commit DV. But randomized socilogical data consistently shows, with over 200 studies using different methogolodies, that women initiate DV as often as men and that men suffer 1/3 of the injuries, and kids are hurt just by seeing it so the level of injuries does not justify ignoring female DV at all. It is pure, 100% hypocrisy.
Male victims cannot hit back. They fear losing custody of their kids. They’re shamed and ridiculed. Alot of women don’t report either, but men are less likely to report, and that’s proven by comparing the crime reports to the random survey data. I cited the data in the news release. Look at it. This gets ignored by mainstreat media.
Stop saying that we are “defending” Brown. We’re not. We’re pointing out the HYPOCRISY of ignoring Rihanna’s violence. Ignoring her part is giving only a one-sided picture. If we want to understand the problem we need to look at it honestly and holistically, not covering up one side just because we don’t like it.
Male victims and their kids have been neglected, covered up, ignored, and even excluded from services and outreach and public policy. The VAWA explicitly excluses American Indian men, and it’s title excludes all male victims. Why should the alleged “minority” be ignored? We don’t have a “Men’s Occupational Safety and Health Act” just because 92% of job deaths happen to me. We say “men and women” when we refer to military or homeless, who are 80-90% male. Why don’t we do the same for DV victims? Why the hypocrisy?
DV is an intergenerational cycle. And it can’t be stopped without being honest about it. The media has given a one-sided story of it for too long. The BBC is the only major media that has now been honest about it, lately.
It’s time to be honest about what happend and not covered up one side. They BOTH committed violence. Even if his was much worse and was unjustified, ignoring hers is HYPOCRISY. Period. And we will continue to stand up to this hypocrisy no matter what, and no matter how long it takes.

poor chris he has got to get the ncfm to help him well where was these fellows at when chris mom was getting abuse, i do not know what happen i was not there and hey chris so you are crying just like a pu**y now why did you run??? why did you not report rihanna when this happen???? you are a man for goodness sake chris the only thing that your azz is worried about is your future, you have had your talk on larry king you and your clowns has did all kinds of nasety things to rihanna. and you think that the ncfm can help you well thats all they can do is help your azz because you seem to be the one who needs help and you have been working overtime to try and hur rihanna more not this time chris, not this time son, because you see you are supposed to be a man not a girl and you could have done a lot of things different but you did not you get your group of men to tell you why your butt left the car and ran like a dirty dog just like a crininal would do and rihanna does not have to talk about nothing that she does not want to talk you are pissed because rihanna is going on with her life without your sorry broke azz . i did want to give you the benefit of the doubt but the more that i see the stupid things that you are doing that makes it very clear that your azz is guilty as charged and it seems to me that you would have been served better if your butt was behind bars, locked up so you can know that you do not beat another person almost to death and then dog then on the net to garner your star power see chris your sh*t will not hold water you are as full of s**t as a thanksgiving turkey and you bet your behind that these dirty birds on this site and the ncfm will not be able to save yo sucker.just the nerve of your sorry butt who in the hell do you think you are!!!!
Thu, November 5, 2009 7:38 PM
WELL its about time if they’re going to play the whole thing in the media then they need to PLAY the whole thing because i for one have heard stories about her belittling him and hitting him all the time but how soon we forget when she is hit!!! BOTH parties are WRONG
Thu, November 5, 2009 7:41 PM
Ok… first of all, to stereotype all black women and say we have babies by multiple men that will not marry us & our children have babies young is so far beyond ignorant that it’s ridiculous. Secondly, you stated “What white people do is no different”.. what about what Puerto Rican people do? Have you forgotten that you too are a minority in this country and are viewed in the same way as black people? To base your comment on race is ignorant and quite ironic because the majority of America views your people the same way they view our people.
Thu, November 5, 2009 7:43 PM
I refuse to degrade another African American woman… I need proof (pictures, court documents, etc.) showing that Rihanna was equally abusive to Chris Brown. All we have is the pic of Rihanna’s f’d up face. Where are his wounds? Why didn’t he file a police report against her knowing that he would be charged. Are you guys forgetting that he fled the scene? And how is she gonna effectively promote her new album by ignoring the elephant in the room… People are gonna keep asking her about what went down, might as well talk about her traumatic experience…
Thu, November 5, 2009 7:46 PM
Hey Tring, I am 100% Black and I am NOT supporting Chris Brown so, please stop talking rubbish. You got me so bad now so I am gonna break it down for you. I know u have been shagging some black guy and all so u think u can come here and talk ISH…lucky some ppl has slapped u down.
I am black, my parents been married for 41yrs.
Both are educated and both went to LSE.
I make a 6 figure salary, I have 2 Degree’s from Kings College London,I am married and I have one child.
So, do not believe every rap vid/bbc/cnn/Tyler Perry movie or Hollywood movie and think Black women are desperate and unmarried. Black Women spend all their days shagging some no good druggie dude. We have jobs on all levels of the economic spectrum and we can kick ur ass and argue if we feel you are being stupid.
Oprah is NOT desperate, Michelle Obama is NOT desperate and neither am I.
Whats so good about being white anyway. When Africans and Arabs,Indian/Asians where talking, sharing design ideas, taking baths and being creative with art and mathematics. All of Europe were barely talking and walking. So, STFU. Get an education before coming here talking ISH
Thu, November 5, 2009 7:49 PM
Callin sumone a hoe/ugly/slutty/dumb does not equal hatin on them when they were a victim of DV. Maybe you’ve never heard/spoken a kind word to a fellow sista and that’s a shame. However lack of support for woment between women is very true.
Thu, November 5, 2009 7:50 PM
I don’t think I did. I actually agree with you that the story needs to be told in the entirety. Chris had many opportunities to talk about the situation but he didn’t. Larry King asked him did this happened before? I thought it was a valid question. So why didn’t he answer the question?
Plus, why didn’t Chris say exactly what happened in the car when Larry asked him. He claims he didn’t remember. I felt this was a cop out. I believe that if Chris goes on a talk show, Chris needs to come clean. Had he did that, we would have a better picture of the situation. I think Rihanna will come clean on 20/20 that’s why it was important for Chris to come clean when he had a chance to talk about it.
Thu, November 5, 2009 7:56 PM
this show is over when rihanna talks tomorrow night. she had to talk sooner or later and now the big bad wolf has went and got a group of men to try and throw more crap on rihanna well guess what from where i sit theres a nother group of real men , young boys, grampas , uncles , nephews, dr, lawyers , dentist, preachers etc that hates what chris did to rihanna and chris please get your group of ncfm to sent a bullitin to the news stations so the world can see just how dam stupid that you really are your group of men does not scare me one minute, theres a dozen men in my family and five girls. in that group six of the men in my family got their doctors degree at the same time they all went back to school and out of the other side there 13 sisters and brothers and guess what chris none of them like you azz but me. even ten year old are talking about what you did to rihanna, chris they want buy your music and they want support you ever and they do not want to talk about it. i believe in forgiveness but you want rihanna to bear some of the fault for the trouble that you are in but think about it she loved you once upon a time and i did too but when you start acting just like a bytch then i see you in a very different light… like i said every body and their whole family have got an opinion and a comment and they are just like a holes we all have one i see that you do not want to have to go through what is facing you because you want rihanna to pay and you keep on and your butt will end up locked the hell up theres something bad wrong with your dam head. a group of men to save you well i will be dam aint nobody scared of you and the ncfm chris you are a looser in the worst way,,,,keep amusing me,, my relatives thats hooked up with the cook county sheriff dept in chi town are so out done. my law enforcement friends that i work with is like wtf,,,,,,,you do not want to even know how some of them feel about you and i am like hes young, talented, etc and a lot of them still says that you had better be glad that rihanna is not their daughter, neice, etc,,,,
Thu, November 5, 2009 7:57 PM
This is ridiculous. At the end of the day, it’s irrelevant to me who struck who first when I’m shelling out $$$ for a
CD. I don’t like Rihanna’s music. I don’t think she can sing well. I don’t think she is a great performer. Therefore, my sympathy goes out to her for her pain, but chris’s songs are better. It has nothing to do with their personal life. It’s about what I want to hear and my ears can’t deal with her voice. So, she will get sympathy but no $$$$. We are in a recession and people are losing jobs everyday. Battered women everyday are having to leave their homes and everything they love, in seach of a safe haven. If you want to put your hard earned money in someone’s pocket so the could walk up and down in the latest designer clothing and jet setting, more power to you. If you all have money to throw around so all of these entertainers could walk around like their sh*t don’t stink, and that goes for both Chris and Rihanna and all entertainers, and tell you f-ya’ll haters if you don’t financial support them, more power to you. I would rather give my money to a battered women’s shelter and have them get on their feet, than purchase a cd and make someone richer. Remember, none of them will be in their position and you wouldn’t have to envy them if you stopped purchasing their music. We are in charge of their careers. When we stop purchasing their CD’s and going to their concerts, the record companys don’t want to hear sh*t about them anymore. So, if you love rihanna or chris, and you want to stand up for domestic violence, then donate to your local shelters= that is what they both should be pushing, but you notice nothing like that came out of either of their mouths.
Thu, November 5, 2009 7:58 PM
Why do some ppl here think RiRi slapped/beat him up. Where is the pic or youtube site? NCFM cannot change my mind that what Chris did was OUT OF ORDER and was totally wrong. Two wrongs do not make a right.
Although, I do believe RiRi choose a ‘GOOD’ time to have this heart to heart…exactly when she is releasing her album. This looks bad for RiRi IMO. Doing tactical media interviews before a single is one thing but to sell your tragic story for $$$ that is very odd. I hope she is seeing a Therapist. IMO I do not think she has gone near a THERAPY room.
Thu, November 5, 2009 7:59 PM
THE ABUSE PARTY SHOULD LEAVE NOT BEAT.YOU DONT BELITTLE ANY YOU ACTUALLY LIKE OR LOVE.HE STILL WANTED IN WHY DID HE WANT HER SO BAD AND WHY DID SHE EVEN GO THEIR YANKEE MEN ARE SO,I CANT THINK OF ANY ONE WORD BUT IT SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN FROM JUMP.NOW ITS OVER!!!!!!

Thu, November 5, 2009 8:06 PM
Oh quit whining. Everyone on this board knows at least one woman that gets in her man’s face and starts hitting him when he is:
A.Trying to walk away
B.Saying to leave him be
C.Breaking off the relationship
It takes two-always. So if there is a dysfunctional relationship-all sides must be examined.
Men keep your hands off the woman-if she shows her behind-document it and call the police-NO it won’t make you look like a punk.
Women-do the same-and IF you come at a man with your fists up do not be “horribly surprised” if he snaps and hits you.
Leave the drama and violence alone.Parents teach your kids proper ways to handle conflict. Find better solutions to handling problems but do not lie and make it a one-sided event. Everyone needs to take responsibility.
Thu, November 5, 2009 8:12 PM
every body has waited for rihanna to talk , why didn;t you get your group of men to help you when you went to court where was ncfm when you went to court chris. you didn’t have none of them there because you was scared to death that your butt was going down. all you wanted to do was get off. chris you think back and remember team chris, do you remember those badd azzes all over the net jumping everyone who even thought they wanted to defend rihanna you had it set up like that and they spread dirty lies until the cows came home and chris you still could not stop or control rihanna. you need to always remember that first of all you are a m-a-n and you and your army has got a pure hate for rihanna because on top of getting the crap beat out of you rihanna has had to put up with your nasety crap through all of the time that she was trying to get herself together and chris the photos that was put on the net that was not rihanna doing and chris you really do need to stfu,,, and leave well enough a long because at the rate that you are going you are going to turn the mainstream aganist you and you will be in the creek without a paddle why can’t you just let well enough along , but you can’t can you you want rihanna to suffer some more for the hurt that you put on her you was doing just what you wanted to do and you was a control freak over her,,, what gets me is how cute you and rihanna looked together and you just sent a video talking about love , you do not love rihanna she was your damn meal ticket to where you was on your way too. i don;t mean that you are not talented because you are but you are screaming out just like a bytch.,,,, and your plsnts all over the net bad mouthing rihanna will only serve as a soft cushion for rihanna behind to land on if she should ever slip and fall. .. hate, ncfm, lies, and your jealous attitude will not hold water chris brown and you will turn a lot of people aganist you with the way that you are conducting yourself son,,,,,

Its funny that the National Coalition for men decided to jump on the Chris and Rihanna bandwagon. Going after a 21 year old, who said publically this was her first real big love. For all the people saying she had a history, where did you guys get this info? Chris never said it, and he sure as hell never said it in his court statements, when he admitted guilt, or on Larry King. Rihanna was woman enough to say that the more in love they were the more dangerous they were to each other. Where was the National Coalition for men when Thomas Weeks was beating down Juanita Bynum, Where were they when Halle Berry was getting her ear beat in, and Where were they when KC was beating Mary J blige and the list goes on. They didn’t take a stand, and condem those men, but here they are trying to add fuel to the fire to come against rihanna. Like I said before. If rihanna did slap chris, he could have simply slapped her back, if that was the case, but to beat, choke, try to push from a speeding car, and left unconscious, that is way more than self defense. Especially since he had no wounds to show that rihanna was beating him up.
Thu, November 5, 2009 8:34 PM
Well first of all thank you for finally typing in english instead of the EBONICS that you were typing in earlier. I answered that question with the first three sentences that you “didn’t understand”. Rihanna and chris were in a car together (lambo) and his security followed them….rihanna was LEFT on the scene with the CAR and chris wasn’t there….that’s what I was saying. I was taught to turn the other cheek and like I said before I take myself out of situations which I deem as unfavorable. Violence begets violence and as for someone who has lost family members to violence I will not stand for it. Like I said before hadnd I really hope they are both healing from this ordeal and I hope others in abusive relationships whether male or female will have enough courage to stand up for themselves.

Yall can call Chris Brown every name in the book for what he did, but guess what, that CD is going to sell like it ain’t no tomorrow! Why? Because at the end of the day, respect for his ‘Craft’ will prevail!

But you know everyone on here to make that statement that we are “Fake Bitches” with fake Maya Angelou antics and that those posting don’t practice what they preach……How ridiculous and hypocritical.
Thu, November 5, 2009 8:46 PM
DOES ANYONE REMEMBER RHIANNA AT THE GRAMMY’S ‘08 AND HOW SHE PUT HER HAND IN HER BOSS’S (JAY-Z) FACE. I WILL NEVER FORGET THAT! THAT GIRL HAS A TEMPER AND I DON’T CARE WHAT ANYONE SAYS EVERYONE HAS A BREAKING POINT! UNFORTUNATELY SHE PUSHED CHRIS OVER THE EDGE AND BEING THE YOUNG’N THAT HE IS…HE TOTALLY LOST CONTROL. WAS HE WRONG? YOU BET! HOWEVER EVERYONE HAS A BREAKING POINT!!!!
Thu, November 5, 2009 8:48 PM
Coming to think of it, when Juanita Bynum got stomped on by Thomas Weeks, no one was asking I wonder what She did to enrage him? what makes the rihanna situation any different. Just because you all hate her you question what she had to do? Let this had been any other artist, you all would have been stoking their hair and saying how can I help you girl. Then people like American Hater is taking it even further by blaming her just because she is Caribbean.
Thu, November 5, 2009 8:50 PM
so chris snapped does he have a jason mask.heh
Thu, November 5, 2009 8:50 PM
I agree!!
Thu, November 5, 2009 8:56 PM
EVERY BLACK AMERICAN PERSON BETTER WATCH OUT, BECAUSE IF THAT CARIBBEAN COON DOCTOR THAT KILLED THE MOST FAMOUS BLACK MAN IN THE WORLD, MICHAEL JACKSON, GET AWAY WITH IT, NONE OF US ARE SAFE.
THEY’RE ALL GOING TO TAKE OFF THEIR MASKS, AND SLAUGHTER YOU IF YOU ALLOW THEM IN YOUR LIFE. RIGHT NOW THEIR GROWN MEN DRUG SMUGGLERS ARE TRICKING OUR TEENAGERS INTO SELLING THE DRUGS THAT ARE GETTING THEM INCARCERATED, AND DESTROYING OUR COMMUNITIES.
I KEEP THEM OUT OF MY HOUSE, AND OUT OF MY LIFE. JUST SAY HI AND KEEP GOING.
THEY’LL TRY TO FOOL YOU AND LOSE THE ACCENT ON PURPOSE, BUT IF YOU TALK TO THEM LONG ENOUGH THEY’LL START CROWING ABOUT THEIR VOODOO ISLAND. I DROP THEM RIGHT AWAY WHEN THAT HAPPENS.
NEVER TRUST A SNAKE. PET A SNAKE ON THE HEAD, AND EVENTUALLY IT WILL REAR UP AND BITE YOU.
IF ANYONE SAW MY POSTS AFTER CHRIS’S INTERVIEW WITH LARRY KING, I SAID HE WOULD LIVE TO REGRET NOT TELLING THE WHOLE TRUTH, AND NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH.
Thu, November 5, 2009 9:03 PM
wow @ this blog thread.
anyways, yes, I am happy that they brought this information to light but at the end of the day, they were BOTH wrong. no one is right in this situation, and no one deserved anything in this situation, as in any situation involving different individuals.
Thu, November 5, 2009 9:04 PM
Is it me or is this organization just basically saying that domestic violence at the at the hands of women exists just and as it does from a man to woman. I don’t think they are condoning Chris’ actions but a merely saying that this situation can be used to discuss domestic violence both ways if both parties involved are honest. If there are court records reflecting that she hit him as well; well she can be her role model voice and say that its not right to hit men and also be vocal about getting out of abusive relationships, etc.
Thu, November 5, 2009 9:06 PM
after it happened i remembber her being called a west indian slut by chris’s dancer.weeks after that rihanna went to the GOLDEN CRUST Caribbean restaurant/bakery cus caribbean slores and west indian sluts have to eat too.these names are quite creative
Thu, November 5, 2009 9:06 PM
Idasle I saw her put her hand in JayZ face and the flash of evil that shown in her eyes. I knew right then and there the b8tch was crazy. IN ALL THE HISTORY OF TELEVISION, I NEVER SAW A FEMALE ENTERTAINERS ACT SO UNPROFESSIONAL. DEVIL WORSHIPPERS ALL HAVE THAT EVIL GLINT IN THEIR EYE. IT IS LIKE A BLACK PANTER, WILD, CRAZY, INSANE, AND EVIL. GRACE JONES AND NAOMI CAMPBELL TOO HAVE THAT EVIL GLINT.
SHE IS THE ONLY LIGHT SKINNED CARIBBEAN I HAVE KNOWN TO HAVE IT. A FEW OF THE LIGHT ONES DONT SEEM TO BE AS EVIL AS MOST ALL THE BLACK ONES, BUT I TRUST NONE OF THEM, AND U SHOULDNT EITHER.
JUST CROSS THE STREET WHEN U SEE THEM COMING. IT IS JUST THAT SIMPLE. IF YOU ALLOW THE DEVIL TO WHISPER IN YOUR EAR, YOU WILL LOSE YOUR SOUL.
RIHANNA IS HOPING SHE DRIVES CHRIS TO SUICIDE. THAT SHOULD BE OBVIOUS TO EVERYONE. ONLY SATAN WOULD DO WHAT SHE IS DOING OVER A SLAP.
RIHANNA IS HOPING SHE DRIVES CHRIS TO SUICIDE. THAT SHOULD BE OBVIOUS TO EVERYONE. ONLY SATAN WOULD DO WHAT SHE IS DOING OVER A SLAP.
WE DONT NEED TO LOSE ANOTHER OF OUR GREAT ENTERTAINERS BY THE HANDS OF CARIBBEAN COONS FOLKS. SUPPORT YOUR AMERICAN BROTHER, AND CIRCLE THE WAGONS.
THIS IS NOT. THIS IS NOT A MAN/WOMAN CASE. SHE PROVOKED HIM TO DESTROY HIM. HE WAS YOUNG AND HE TOOK THE BAIT.
Thu, November 5, 2009 9:09 PM

No, Chris did not contact us. We have spoken out for male victims for a very long time because nobody else does. That doesn’t mean we justify Chris’ violence. It means we ask that female violence be discussed honestly rather than ignored. There are plenty of groups and media speaking out for female victims, so we raise awareness about male victims. We spoke out when the girlfriend of Tampa Bay linebacker Geno Hayes was arrested for stabbing Hayes in the neck and head. We spoke out when Kelly Bensimon, who plays in the Bravo reality show “Real Housewives of New York City,” was arrested for giving her boyfriend a black eye and a bloody gash on his cheek. We have spoken out about other male victims like Steve McNair (killed by girlfriend), Phil Hartman (killed by wife), and many others male victims that people don’t hear about their victimization because they’re men, such as:
Stephen Hawking

We do this because very few others do, and for those that do, we work with them and appreciate them. Tyra Banks did a show on battered men. So did Orah although now she never talks about it anymore. But most refuse to address the issue and they keep it covered up.
According to the Centers for Disease Control, every year there are 4.8 million incidents of intimate partner assaults and rapes against women and 2.9 against men, with 25% of the deaths being men. http : //www.cdc.gov/ncipc/dvp/ipv_factsheet.pdf
That’s not a small number. There is no excuse for ignoring the minority even if it were a small number. And that’s based partly on crime data which is not reliable. Most other data, that isn’t based on criminal justice statistics, shows 50/50 in perpetration.
When the mass media cites criminal justice statistics (Dept. of Justice, etc.) they are not being honest and they’re refusing to acknowledge the more sensitive and accurate survey data:
A major study funded by the Centers for Disease Control examined heterosexual relationships throughout the U.S. and found: “Almost 24% of all relationships had some violence, and half (49.7%) of those were reciprocally violent. In nonreciprocally violent relationships, women were the perpetrators in more than 70% of the cases.” http : //www.ajph.org/cgi/content/abstract/97/5/941
“More women than men (25% versus 11%) were responsible. In fact, 71 percent of the instigators in nonreciprocal partner violence were women” and “while injury was more likely when violence was perpetrated by men, in relationships with reciprocal violence it was the men who were injured more often (25% of the time) than were women (20% of the time).” http : //pn.psychiatryonline.org/cgi/content/full/42/15/31-a
In fact over 200 studies and growing confirm that “women are as physically aggressive, or more aggressive, than men in their relationships with their spouses or male partners,” as Cal State University Professor Martin Fiebert shows in his online bibliography at http : //www.csulb.edu/~mfiebert/assault.htm
For example, a recent 32-nation study by the University of New Hampshire found women are as violent and controlling as men in relationships worldwide. http : //www.unh.edu/news/cj_nr/2006/may/em_060519male.cfm?type=n
http : //pubpages.unh.edu/~mas2/ID41E2.pdf
This Canadian government report also recognizes the above data.
http : //www.phac-aspc.gc.ca/ncfv-cnivf/familyviolence/pdfs/Intimate_Partner.pdf
You can criticize NCFM all you want but it doesn’t change the reality. We do NOT defend Brown but we say her reported violence needs to be discussed too. Hopefully she will talk about on the show coming up. But the mass media is more to blame for ignoring it. Only a few media sources mentioned that the court records say she hit him.
CNN did (briefly, and then ignored it). People Mag did only a little bit. http : //www.people.com/people/article/0,,20300411,00.html
And Channel 9 did. http: / /news.ninemsn.com.au/entertainment/768865/rihanna-hit-chris-brow
The truth matters. Covering it up doesn’t help solve the problem. DV is a social ill. You don’t solve a social ill by ignoring data and truth, just like you wouldn’t ignore science and objectivity when trying to solve cancer. We need to be HONEST about it to help solve it.
Thank you to all who have sent messages supporting us on this. We will not stop raising awareness no matter what reactionaries have to say or how much we’re criticized.
Thu, November 5, 2009 9:16 PM
HE JUST NEEDS TO LEAVE RIHANNA THE HELL ALONG AND LET HER TALK AND LET THIS THING DIE DOWN AND IF SHE IS MOVING ON WITH HER LIFE THERES NOTHING WRONG
@REAL DEAL
you’re right. he shouldnt say anything else on the subject. if he does that will add fuel to the fire and keep it burning. larry king gave him a chance to tell the whole truth and he blew it.
she won’t be moving on because very very few men will be bothered with an unstable woman these days. white men dont even want to bother with them. let somebody f8ck her good and this b8tch will be homicidally in love again. LOL LOL chris is too young to know that much about sex, so if this b8tch gets some real good EXPERIENCED american man love, she’ll be stalking him night and day.
most of the men down in the caribbean wont do what it takes to give them sexual satisfaction that’s why all them b8tches dream of american men.
Thu, November 5, 2009 9:17 PM
Wake up people!!! Do you even know what ninemsn.com is? It’s an Australian website..Australian. In addition they reported (if you go to that link) that the information they reported was from what TMZ (gossip site) said. Have you ever wondered why msn, google news, cbs, abc, nbc, & cnn has never reported that Rihanna hit CB first? Uh, maybe because it has never been reported that that occurred. But as usual people respond before researching any information being shoved down their throat. The only fact consistently reported in all of these places is that CB assaulted Rihanna.
Thu, November 5, 2009 9:19 PM
Thank you Marc A. Women who have brothers, fathers, sons, and grandsons better stand up and defend them when they are innocent. Thank you so much.
Thu, November 5, 2009 9:22 PM
The only fact consistently reported in all of these places is that CB assaulted Rihanna.
@stonecold
AND IF U REMEMBER CHRIS WASN’T EVEN ALLOWED TO SPEAK OUT DURING THAT TIME FOR LEGAL REASONS FOR MONTHS.
Thu, November 5, 2009 9:31 PM
So I guess if a little dude ( say like 5′5” 130pounds) hits a big dude (say 6′4 200 pounds) in the face 3 times and then the big dude beats the hell out of the little dude the big dude would be wrong because he’s so much bigger and stronger?? huh thats the same logic that people are using when they say chris is so much bigger than Rihanna thus justifying the fact that she hit him but because she’s smaller she shouldnt be hit back so What about if the women is signifaicanty bigger then the man and she punches him in the face 3 times i guess he shouldnt hit her back either..because this time because she’s a women ..DUMB LOGIC PEOPLE And many of you can pull up the youtube video right now of the HUGE BLACK WOMAN Beating up her much smaller husband….unmercifully but he shouldnt fight her back because she is woman? again DUMB LOGIC ….simple as this NO MAN SHOULD EVER HIT A WOMAN and No woman SHOULD EVER HIT A MAN NO MATTER THE SIZE if you do THEY SHOULD EXPECT TO GET HIT BACK we don’t tell our soldiers not to hit/mame/kill female soldiers from enemy countries do we…? we dont tell our sons to not to fight back against smaller people that attack them….
Thu, November 5, 2009 9:33 PM
He’s allowed to speak now and still we have not heard him say she hit him. Besides that whether he could speak or not the court documents did not state it either and he was free to speak in the court preceedings.
Thu, November 5, 2009 9:37 PM
nobody dreams of american men specially CB and in the naked pics that chris released he had draws on his head like the wus that he is.most negros are in demand because they have money or sex these things come in handy still some of the stupidest MF i’ve come across.LITTLE YANKEE HOS RIDING FOR HIM HE STILL DONT WANT YOU,THAT PLUS YOU DONT KNOW HIS BACKGROUND I HOPE HE HIDES IT FOREVER.JASON DERULO IS HAITIAN LIKE WYCLEF, RIHANNA IS BAJAN CAN GO ON AND ON ABOUT PEOPLE WHO ARE HONEST ABOUT THEIR BACKGROUND.I HOPE CHRIS KEEPS IT SHUT WE DONT WANT ANOTHER ONE TO DEFEND.
Thu, November 5, 2009 9:49 PM
IF A WOMEN HITS A MAN, HE SHOULD BE MAN ENOUGHT TO WALK AWAY FROM HER WITHOUT HITTING BACK.
A man has more physical strength than a women which is why Rihanna’s face looked like she was near death in those pictures. Only a FAKE ASS MAN places his hands on a women. My brother has been hit more than once by his children’s mother and he has NEVER hit her back. Fake men feel validated by knowing they can beat up women. I don’t feel sorry for Chris Brown.
Thu, November 5, 2009 9:57 PM
think it’s bad now it would be worse if ”they” ever had reason to believe you weren’t one of ”them”.
Thu, November 5, 2009 9:58 PM
@mark A, so chris did not contact you? so how do you know he is a victim, if he didn’t tell you so himself. How can you speak out on the behalf of someone who did not ask for your help and point fingers at rihanna saying she should tell about her involvement? How do you know she is responsible for anything, do you have proof?
Thu, November 5, 2009 10:02 PM
The NCFM said they spoke out for Male victims but most of the victims they speak out on behalf of were people whose perpatrators were arrested and charged for the crime. Rihanna was not charged with any crime, so why are they speaking out? especially since they claim chris did not call them.
Thu, November 5, 2009 10:15 PM
keep it shut chris and promote your album nobody want to hear you say wow 10 time again and make excuses for punching a woman.
Thu, November 5, 2009 10:27 PM
stanfan will u get your azz over to the buju banton, beanie man devil worshippers website. forgot, you’re all so evil, u dont like each other
ALL OF US KNOW THAT CARIBBEAN COON NO COUNT MEN DROPPED THEIR KIDS ON AMERICAN WOMEN, BUT IF THEY RAISED BY AMERICAN MOTHER, AND LIVED ALL THEIR LIFE IN AMERICA, THEY’RE AS AMERICAN AS ANYONE B8TCH.
THE PEOPLE THAT VOODOO CARIBBEAN WHORES RAISE ARE EVIL. BLOOD DOESNT MAKE THEM EVIL. IT IS YOUR SATAN WORSHIPPING CULTURE.
Thu, November 5, 2009 10:31 PM
@KJ thats the whole point he couldnt walk away she hit him while the car was moving edangering both of thier lives….if a woman punched my brother who was really famous while he was driving in a sports car (lamborghini) at a high speed three times in his face with her fist and a phone I’m not gonna tell him he should have gotten out of his own car let her drive it away while he was stranded the middle of some random street somewhere ….that makes no sense when someone punches u in the face the natural reflex reaction is for you to hit back without thinking .if it was a slap or punch to another part of the body I’m sure this incident wouldnt have occured..in the final court testimony it is revealed that most of the scaring occured from him him slamming on the brakes her then hitting the dashboard and trying to push her out of the car after it stopped he hit her once out of a reflex reaction this is not an abusive man no way you look at it did he make a mistake yes simple as that did she make a mistake yes and she needs to own upto it and stop using this incident to sell records…
Thu, November 5, 2009 10:36 PM
@ UMMM were you in the car and saw her hit him?
Thu, November 5, 2009 10:41 PM
“The NCFM said they spoke out for Male victims but most of the victims they speak out on behalf of were people whose perpatrators were arrested and charged for the crime. Rihanna was not charged with any crime, so why are they speaking out? especially since they claim chris did not call them.”
We’re speaking out because the court records, according to CNN, People and Channel 9 News, say she was hitting him too. That’s why we speak out. Because most of the other media refuses to talk about this side of the problem. So we speak out about it. ALSO because the media addresses DV in a gender biased way that excludes female DV and male victims, and Rihanna has been doing the same from what we’ve seen. Even if it so happened that she never hit him, she still should address the topic of DV in a way that includes everybody, because not all victims look like her. And so far, she hasn’t. She has said “women women women” from what I’ve seen. And we speak out when advocates, media, government, or anybody else, covers this in a way that keeps male victims invisible.
I already provided the links to Channel 9 and People, and CNN said the same thing – the court records say she hit him at least once if not more. The whole truth should never be ignored, but most of the media does.
Male victims and female DV have been ignored and kept invisible for too long. And people are being hurt by it, especially kids, because that part of the violence is kept hidden.
Thu, November 5, 2009 10:42 PM
Welford Hart, who lives with Chris Brown’s mother, told the New York Post that Rihanna took off her stilettos and began beating him in the head while he was driving. These two are both great catches!
“When you take off your shoes and beat someone with high heels, that’s going to hurt. He reacted and tried to get her to stop hitting him, but she kept screaming.”
Today TMZ confirms what we already hinted at. Here’s an excerpt from TMZ’s post today,
Rihanna was the first one to strike — slapping and striking Brown “numerous times” while he was driving, after seeing the text message from another woman. And Rihanna was fighting Brown as he punched and hurt her. We’re told much of this is reflected in the official police report based on what Rihanna told cops.
Thu, November 5, 2009 10:42 PM
kj Chris didn’t beat up women. he was drugged by her. it made him violent, and he fought for his life with the she devil. end of story.
Thu, November 5, 2009 10:44 PM
How dare you insult black women? You sound very racist and oppressive, and you need to deconstruct your mind. Get educated. Black women are low self esteem, gold diggers, and desperate? Who are you speaking for? I’m an educated, black female who has my own money, and has my own career.
How can you utter ‘be smart…about your relationships” and then have the audacity to categorize people as such?
I’m truly appalled. Its time you revaluate your self. People have opinions, deal with it. Don’t insult people just because they think differently. Both parties were wrong in this situation okay. They both need help; stop trying to vilify one person, while attaching the victim card to the other. THAT NEVER WORKS and well not achieve anything. Both individuals are young and still have a lot of growing to do, however everyone needs to take responsibility for their actions; Chris and rihanna.
Thu, November 5, 2009 10:45 PM
@wave
the police said that her devil horns came right out of her forehead too and that 666 gleamed from her eyes in red letters. that’s the honest truth.
Thu, November 5, 2009 10:45 PM
OH PLEASE, TMZ, WHICH SUPPLIED YOU BITCHES MOST OF YALL INFO ABOUT THE CASE, EVEN SAID RIHANNA HIT FIRST! RIHANNA NEEDS TO ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR HER ACTIONS LIKE THE NCFM STATED.
Thu, November 5, 2009 10:48 PM
MARC A. IS IN HERE SHITTIN ON YALL WEAK BITCHES! OPEN YOUR EYES AND READ THE TRUTH! HIS INFO IS BASED OFF FACTS, NOT HEARSAY! READ BITCHES, READDDDD FOR GODSAKES!
Thu, November 5, 2009 10:49 PM
tyra and oprah, showed all that support and she chooses diane sawyer for the interview.
she could have let Wendy or Monique interview her too, but then black american women would have benefited, and she’s too jealous to let them benefit.
Thu, November 5, 2009 10:50 PM
@marc a. Why should it rest on rihannas shoulders to speak out on DV for everybody, when she is only now starting to speak out. YOu don’t know what she was planning to do, but you all claiming to speak out against her. You only saw 5 minutes of an hour long interview, so you don’t know what she’s doing or planning to do. She is speaking up to young females, because she is a female, so that is understandable. Why don’t Chris speak out to males about the DV situation. Why don’t you all tell him to do that. Its ironic that chris did 3 interviews already and you all didn’t surface and say your speaking out for him. As soon as rihanna is getting ready to do her first interview, then you guys are coming out of the woodwork. WHat is your motive? are you trying to really help , or are you adding fuel to the fire to set things a blaze.
Thu, November 5, 2009 10:54 PM
BOYCOTT DEVIL MUSIC MADE BY RIHANNA, THEN SHE’LL SLITHER BACK TO HER BAT CAVE NEVER TO BE SEEN AGAIN.

Thu, November 5, 2009 11:00 PM
HOW DOES ANYBODY KNOW THAT RIHANNA HIT CHRIS BROWN??? NOBODY KNOWS WHAT SHE DID, OR IF SHE EVEN DID ANYTHING TO CHRIS! ONLY PEOPLE THAT KNOWS WHAT HAPPENED IS CHRIS, RIHANNA, AND GOD, AND MAYBE THE PEOPLE AROUND THEM. BUT NOONE ELSE! YOU CAN’T REALLY BELIEVE WHAT YOU READ OUT OF ARTICLES. C’MON NOW YOU KNOW THAT. IF RIHANNA REALLY DID SOMETHIN TO CHRIS LIKE HIT HIM, THEN HE NEEDS TO PUT HER ON BLAST LIKE SHE PUT HIM ON BLAST, BUT IF HE DOESN’T DO THAT THEN SHE OBVIOUSLY DIDN’T DO ANYTHING TO HIM. HE ALREADY ADMITTED TO PUTTING HIS HANDS ON RIRI, BUT NEVER SAID SHE DID, YOU READ THAT IN ARTICLES OFF THE INTERNET, NEVER CAME FROM CHRIS NOR RIHANNA’S MOUTH. SO, IF AND WHEN CHRIS BROWN PUTS RIHANNA ON BLAST, THEN I’LL BELIEVE SHE DID SOMETHIN TO HIM, BUT UNTIL THEN I’M NOT BELIEVING NOTHIN ABOUT HER TIL I SEE PROOF. CHRIS BROWN WAS PROVEN GUILTY, BUT RIHANNA WASN’T. AND IF RIHANNA DID DO SOMETHING TO CHRIS THEN HE WOULDN’T, OR HE SHOULDN’T MIND TELLIN ON HER SINCE SHE DON’T MIND TELLIN ON HIM.
Thu, November 5, 2009 11:01 PM
I just hope we don’t hear about Chris killing himself or being hospitalize for depression or going insane. Because a lot of people are going to this on their hands. They way they are crucify him. I won’t be surprise to hear about his insanity.
Thu, November 5, 2009 11:07 PM

wasn’t trying to i just want to push it,this is my everyday way to speak too when pushing i get creative.
Thu, November 5, 2009 11:33 PM
And just what do you find that is so unbelievable here, Marci? Name one woman who has taken responsibility, just one, who has not played that “victim” card. Name one who has not used these laws as a weapon and has done the right thing when she has been found at fault.
Just one.

“Why should it rest on rihannas shoulders to speak out on DV for everybody, when she is only now starting to speak out. YOu don’t know what she was planning to do, but you all claiming to speak out against her.”
We call on media and anyone else who speaks out about DV should do so honestly and tell the whole story. We have seen myths, lies, half truths, etc. in the media for 40 years on DV, never giving the sociological survey data and rarely addressing violence by both sexes. So when we see that, we challeng it, no matter who it is. So far, I have seen Rihanna only talk about women, and most importantly, the MEDIA has only talked about women. So we speak out about it to raise awarenss about the other side that’s not being told. We have not attacked Rihanna, or Brown. But we call on Rihanna, the media, and anyone else who addresses the issue, to not mislead the public by only talking about female victims and by ignoring female DV.
“You only saw 5 minutes of an hour long interview, so you don’t know what she’s doing or planning to do.”
I don’t know what she’s planning on saying. But so far I saw her only saying “woman,” like most of the media does. If she does talk about the whole story, I commend her.
“She is speaking up to young females, because she is a female, so that is understandable. Why don’t Chris speak out to males about the DV situation. Why don’t you all tell him to do that.”
So far, I have not seen him go public talking about DV. If he did, and he only talked about female victims and male perpetrators, leaving female DV invisible, I would certainly speak out about that too.
“Its ironic that chris did 3 interviews already and you all didn’t surface and say your speaking out for him.”
We’re speaking up for male victims everywhere when we speak out about female DV. It is much bigger than Brown, or Steven McCnair, or Chuck Finley, or Al Green, or the many male DV victims who are members of our organization and the women who care. It’s a global problem that has been covered up. Men and women throughout the world are starting to speak up about this totally neglected side of the issue. And we don’t just address DV but many other issues, like fathers rights, paternity fraud, criminal sentencing disparities, men’s health issues, male victims of rape, false accusations of rape or abuse, circumcision, male bashing, homelessness, prison conditions especially for inmate fathers, men’s reproductive rights, male disposability, forced labor laws the exclude men, discriminatory military conscription laws, misandry, the “pay gap” and “housework” myths, etc. Men make 80-99 % of homeless adults, prisoners, occupational deaths/injuries, suicide deaths, combat deaths/injuries, dropouts, etc. and have higher mortality rates for the 10 leading causes of death even when compared to women within their own race. We are not anti-woman at all and we have many women members and supporters. We want to see both women’s AND men’s issues addressed. But men’s issues ramain totally neglected by government, media and adademia. Read The Myth of Male Power by Warren Farrell and see http: //www.ncfm.org/?page_id=482

Girl pls go sit domn, YOU WIL NEVER SEE CHRIS FACE BATTERED OR BRUISED, COS HE IS A MAN, BUT WHEN A WOMAN HIT A MAN WAT DO YOU EXPECT??
CHRIS DIDNT SAY MUCH ABOUT RIHINA OR WATEVER HER NAME IS BUT THAT DONT MEAN SHE DIDNT DO NOTHIN WRON, THEY BOTH THE VICTIMS HERE SO WHO ARE YOU TO JUDGE
Fri, November 6, 2009 2:03 AM
Not only do I agree with that organization but I made a video on it long ago. Chris and Rihanna Trial By Jury. smh
Fri, November 6, 2009 2:59 AM
FUCKIN. PREACH!!!! i stopped reading the comments after this one, my blood is boiling as it is. anyone remember that “i’m not a monster” youtube vid?? where HE SAID HE HAD NO FUCKIN BRUISES??? i swear to god, the world has gone mad. everyone sideing with chris deserves to get his ass beat by him too.
don’t get it twisted, i think everyone should keep their hands to themselves, but come on–this ‘rihanna simply lost the fight’ mentality needs to stop. she got her ass handed to her and choked out–that was no fuckin spat. inexcusable behavior, i don’t care what she did to him outside hold a gun to his head. who even says she touched him at all?? females–stick together!!!
Fri, November 6, 2009 3:07 AM
OK THIS ORGANIZATION IS MAKING ME LMAOOO! And so is the people(mainly women) that actually support this. You must be the same people that teach your sons to get a gun and shoot somebody when they are having a problem with someone. The same ones that tell your kids not to snitch and to watch another fellow black child get beat to death in the middle of the streets. These same people probably have children who are dead because of violence, and or in jail. You go ahead and tell your sons that it is okay to hit a woman. He will be in jail. He won’t get a probation sentence like Chris Brown. The evil in some of you people is ridiculous. If a woman is hitting a man he should leave her. Don’t stick around just to beat her ass. That makes no sense. You wanna beat the girl’s ass you are nothing but an abuser point blank.
Fri, November 6, 2009 3:40 AM
I TOTALLY AGREE WITH THIS ORGANIZATION. TAKE A CLOSE LOOK AT THIS VIDEO, YOU COULD SEE RIHANNA PRAYING ALL THE CROCODILES FOR A TEARDROP BUT IT WOULDN’T FALL.YOU COULD ALSO SEE THERE’S A LOT OF JEALOUSY IN HER EYES BECAUSE HER ALBUM IS HORRIBLE WHILE IN THE SAME TIME CB IS WALKING ON THE WATER. ALL THE CRITICS AND OTHER MUSICIANS RECOGNIZE HIM ONCE AGAIN AS A TRUE TALENT.HE GOT THE SUPPORT OF MANY ARTISTS WHO ASKED FOR FORGIVENESS. I’M TOTALLY CONVINCED THAT SHE HIT CB UNTIL IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE FOR THIS YOUNG MAN TO REMAIN CALM;I CONDEMN VIOLENCE ON BOTH SIDES.CB HAS BEEN CONDEMNED BY THE LAW AND THUS HE IS PAYING FOR WHAT HE DID; BUT ALL OF US ALSO HAVE THE RESPONSABILITY TO CONSIDER RIHANNA AS AN EXAMPLE OF VIOLENT WOMAN, AND USE THIS SITUATION TO TEACH THE YOUNG GIRLS HOW TO BE GOOD PERSONS.
RIHANNA WANTS TO BE A VOICE ? OK. SHE COULD START BY TELLING THE YOUNG GIRLS HOW IT’S AWFUL TO HIT A MAN AS THIS MAY CAUSE THIS MAN TO GET OUT OF CONTROL EVEN IF HE’S NOT VIOLENT.THAT’S HONESTY;BUT WHAT CAN WE EXPECT OF A WOMAN WHO IS CAPABLE OF SHOOTING A VIDEO CLIP WHERE SHE WOULD SIT IN A CHURCH SCRATCHING HER PUSSY, INDICATING SHE WANNA SEX ALL THE DEMONS TO GET FAME ,MISLEADING PURE YOUNG HEARTS ? DOES SHE FEEL ANY SORRY FOR THE YOUNG PEOPLE ? I GUESS YOU GOT THE ANSWER.
Fri, November 6, 2009 3:42 AM
Chris Brown was 19 YEARS OLD at the time. That hardly qualifies someone to be a man. You all can forget if you want to, but just because he can drive and join the army does not make him an adult. Look it up. It’s a scientific fact that the adult brain doesn’t fully form until we’re 23. Chris still has a chance to break out of his abusive ways, but some folks are jumping down his back without mercy. Domestic violence is wrong, but it also involves so much deeper issues that need to be addressed and probably won’t because both Rihanna and Chris are FULL OF ISH. These CELEBRITIES are only interested in SAVING THEIR CAREERS.
Hi Ms. Puerto Rican Racist,
I can call you that, right? That’s what you said, at least. I understand where you are coming from. A lot of trash talk that goes on in the salons but it is not representative of a whole race. Sorry to call you out, but you are full of ish. I’m black. I’m from the Bronx. I’ve personally witnessed some of my puerto rican neighbors get their asses beat by their men and the women went crawling back talking about “Aye, papi. Lo siento. Aye, mi familia.” Also, back in college, it was my Puerto Rican friends, not my black ones, that had bruises after their boyfriends visited (one of them is married to her abuser today, good luck to her). These are only examples of Puerto Rican women being so “fucked up in the head.” But I never would say that about ALL Puerto Rican women. So watch your mouth, Puta.
Have a nice day.
Fri, November 6, 2009 4:05 AM
Girl I TOTALLY cosign your post. I was talking to my husband at dinner about a lot of the comments I was reading and he was shocked and appalled that most of Chris Brown’s defenders were women…black women at that. These women kill me trying to “rationalize” why he beat Rihanna in the face with a closed fist.
Fri, November 6, 2009 5:56 AM

Fri, November 6, 2009 7:24 AM
Will the womenhaters/wommenbeaters please stand up…ahem Ceaser (as he is standing)
Fri, November 6, 2009 7:30 AM
I think a lot of us have been saying this from the beginning. They are BOTH immature and BOTH need help. No one is innocent in this and if chris or some organization needs to put her on BLAST then so be it. He has gone through the fire for hitting her, there should no difference with how we reprimand her just because she is female. Bottom line is – if this is true, it just shows how immature Rih is if she plays a complete victim during her interview and does not fess up to her role in the violence between them. Once again, immature people trying to have grown up relationship and looking like bafoons in the end. I don’t care if it was slap here or there, still not acceptable because if a dude slapped a female “here and there” it would not be acceptable.
Also, in response to some of the people on this post on – just because you support this organization does not mean we excuse Chris’ behavior! Some people in here are just on such a defensive mode that you automatically think that people are attacking Rihanna instead of understanding what the heck is going on here. Understand the big picture here and stop taking sides. This is about both of them hitting each other which has been stated by many people in their camp and has been referred to many times before this statement even surfaced.
Fri, November 6, 2009 8:42 AM
YBF is officially a misogynistic piece of trash. You have created a forum where women are not prized and valued but down graded. You are doing a disservice to women in general and black women in particular by suggesting that it is ok for a physically stronger man to beat and nearly kill a woman once he is provoked. NO wonder that women particularly those in the black community are disfigured and murdered at such high rate.
You should be ashamed !
Fri, November 6, 2009 9:05 AM
When did YBF suggest that it is ok “for a physically stronger man to beat and nearly kill a woman once he is provoked”? I missed that post. All this post from the NCFM suggest is that we discuss DV honestly and realize that some women or just as if not more violent toward their partners as men. If anyone TRULY wants to end DV, we have to discuss all of the violence that takes place, not just violence against women. As a mother of a son & 3 daughters, I don’t want anybody hitting any of them. And I discuss this issue with all of them in the same manner… KEEP YOUR HANDS TO YOURSELF & if you choose to throw a lick, be prepared to take one. All this “physically stronger” talk is crazy. It’s unrealistic to think you can continuously provoke someone and expect them not to react. And let’s be honest, some women won’t let a man walk away… I know women like this & I’ve had a male friend who was raised to not hit a woman no matter what & he’s dead now because his physically abusive girlfriend killed him & then herself one Thanksgiving day a few years back. Violence is violence regardless of who hits who… it ALL HAS TO STOP!!!

And Caribbean people are viewed as POOR, NON-GOD-FEARING, GHETTO,ILLITERATE,ANGRY people.
Yep, we can go ALL DAY with stereotypes.
Fri, November 6, 2009 9:25 AM
It is about time someone said something. I have seen people like Rihanna and she is trying to gain more publicity and pity. I am boycotting her interview tonight.. No time for the stob stories.. They are both equally at fault…..
Fri, November 6, 2009 9:26 AM
yankees think we live in trees i tell them yes we do and practice voodoo under the tree.me and my brother got asked if we lived at our address about 500 times by black americans apparently were not suppose to live at such a place in such a house.
And Caribbean people are viewed as POOR, NON-GOD-FEARING, GHETTO,ILLITERATE,ANGRY people.
Yep, we can go ALL DAY with stereotypes.
i actually dont mind the stereotypes eh better than ”you live here” and us having to say yes of course we do.i like when certain people think i have nothing works out better for me.
Fri, November 6, 2009 9:29 AM
People we all came off the same slave ships..remember that.. Caribbean african american.. this is soo silly… she deserves what she got because she is caribbean.. wow..wow..this is the lowest I have ever seen on the YBF very sad..there are no facts in this article..
Fri, November 6, 2009 9:38 AM
I do not have anything against my black brothers and sisters around the world, but I cannot stand when the arrogant ones want to insult Black Americans. These same people either live in poverty in their own country or they come and enjoy the fruit of our ancestors labor then insult us in the same breathe. No ma’am.
Fri, November 6, 2009 9:46 AM
Are you kidding me? Do you even know that Hispanic women experience physical abuse more than any other American woman? Have you seen the statistics for your ethnic group? They are mind-boggling. I cracked up soon as you said you were Puerto Rican, because I realized that you are extremely delusional to not realize that it not only a stereotype about how abuse the men are in your ethnic group but its also on record.
And this is just in Texas alone:
According to the Texas Council on Family Violence:
77% of all Hispanic Texans indicate that either they, a family member and/or a friend have experienced some form of domestic violence, indicating that approximately 5.2 million Hispanic Texans are personally affected by the epidemic of domestic violence. If the current prevalence rates remain the same, by the year 2030, more than 12.2 million Hispanic Texans could be personally affected by domestic violence.
64% of all Hispanic Texans indicate that they or a member of their family have experienced at least one form of domestic violence in their lifetime.
36% of all Hispanic Texans report being severely abused in their lifetime.
2 out of every 5 Hispanic Texas females (39%) reported experience severe abuse.
1 out of every 5 Hispanic Texas females (18%) reported being forced to have sex against their will.
40% of Hispanic Texans who reported experiencing at least one form of domestic violence took no action.
63% of all Hispanic Texans recall recent communications concerning domestic violence.
50% of all Hispanic Texans believe domestic violence is caused by circumstances beyond the batterers control showing that the Hispanic Texas community needs more information on domestic violence.
82% of all Hispanic Texans believe that it is never appropriate to stay in an abusive relationship, yet 46% acknowledge that leaving an abusive relationship can be more dangerous than staying.
83% of all Hispanic Texans agree that a husband who abuses his wife is more likely to also abuse his children; yet only 47% indicate a belief that domestic violence passes from generation to generation.
86% of all Hispanic Texans report that they would vote for a candidate who helps domestic violence victims. They are the ethnic group most likely to indicate such.

I UNDERSTAND WHERE THESE MEN ARE COMING FROM… BUT
GIVE
ME
A F*CKIN
BREAK!
WOMEN DO HURT MEN (STEVE MAVNAIR) PHYSICALLY SOMETIMES.. BUT
I
DONT
GIVE A
SH*T
IF YOU ARE A MAN AND FEEL YOU CANT DEFEND YOURSELF AGAINST YOUR WOMAN, YOU NEED TO GROW SOME, SORRY!
THERE IS NO WAY THAT A MAN BEATING A WOMAN IS THE SAME AS HER SLAPPING HIM AROUND. PLEASE!!!
LIKE I SAID, I UNDERSTAND THE POINT BUT IT IS NOT THE SAME. MEN AND WOMEN ARE NOT THE SAME!!!
Fri, November 6, 2009 9:58 AM
Just because you don’t inflict as much damage doesn’t mean you are completely innocent. People that jump into Lion’s cages are victims of getting their butts chewed, but they had no business behind the fence in the first place. I have two children, one boy and one girl and it’s HARD to tell my son not to hit girls. Even at his age there are little kindergarten girls that hit and tease. There is a “scratcher” in his class. The teacher has talked to her parents but the problem persists. How far am I supposed to tell my son to let this go before HE really gets hurt?
Women need to own up to their responsibilities in these situations. I’ve hit a man before and was LUCKY that he did not hit me back. WE assume that men feel like we do that “he better not lay a finger on me” but we think it’s ok to slap, push, kick, scratch and everything else. “Oh we’re just sooo emotional. And he’s a liar and a cheat.” SO! Men are HUMAN BEINGS, and everyone has their limits. Don’t push buttons and expect nothing to happen.
Fri, November 6, 2009 10:00 AM
FURTHERMORE!!
I KNOW PLENTY OF MEN WHOSE CRAZY SIGNIFICANT OTHERS HAVE SLAPPED THEM, AND ATTEMPTED TO “HURT” THEM. I EVEN KNOW A GUY WHO GOT EVERYTHING BUT THE KITCHEN SINK THROWN AT HIS HEAD.
BUT
THEY
WALKED AWAY
HE SAID, “I JUST HAD TO WALK AWAY, BECAUSE IF I GOT A HOLD OF HER I WOULD REALLY REALLY HURT HER BAD.”
MEN WHO CLAIM THEY ARE ABUSED, GROW SOME!
NOW, IF A WOMAN HAS A WEAPON THAT’S A DIFF STORY. IT’S CALLED SELF DEFENSE.
RHIANNA SLAPPING THE SHIT OUT OF CB FOR CHEATING ON HER DOES NOT CONDONE HIS BEATING HER UP. WE ALL SAW THE PICTURE. WHERE WERE HIS BRUISES????
I’M DONE. ITS A SHAME MEN AREN’T MEN ANY MORE.
Fri, November 6, 2009 10:37 AM
Black men are HO’s with no soul. PERIOD. It was bred out of them by the slavemaster. There is no hope for redemption and unfortunately it is black women and children who suffer because of that. JESUS COME SOON PLEASE! This world is a friggin joke!
Fri, November 6, 2009 12:25 PM
domestic violence goes both ways and i applaud them for noticing what I noticed so long ago! woman beat there husbands but are not called husband beaters? just because a mans violence usually leaves more marks does not mean they are the only one to blame! so what most of you who are against this are saying its okay for a women to hit a man but not vise versa. that is bs! i challenge women to WALK AWAY instead of hit their men.. but i HIGHLY doubt they could.
Fri, November 6, 2009 3:07 PM
When you grow up a little bit come back and write something more sensible. You are obviously a child trying to comment on a mature issue.

Fri, November 6, 2009 3:24 PM
Thank you! I couldn’t have said it any better without some psycho person on The YBF venting, in reminiscence of their past time abusive relationships, about how we all are trying to take up for Chris. Definitely not the case. Rhianna is no angel. She owes Chris an apology just as much as he owes her one, and they both need to stay the f* away from each other. I don’t know why Chris is even thinking about this girl. She is sucking up the attention like a sponge. Usher much? Wow…

Sat, November 7, 2009 1:10 AM
I rareley come here. Now I see what kind of people visit this site. Sad. A man beating a woman and she must of did something? Imagine if this was your mother. It doesn’t sound like the people commenting are over the age of 20 anyay or are still in that ignorant street state of mind. Verify your sources. This is why an article like this would not show up on Concrete Loop.
Sat, November 7, 2009 5:48 AM
LMAO! Whatever. I’m a man, and would never stand behind, beside, in back or whatever for Chris Brown’s behavior towards Rihanna. This National Coalition for [Boys] need to grow up. This is just a testiment to how many boy-men are actually out her kicking their woman’s azz! I also believe that when you get a bunch of boy-men grouping up to fight a human rights issue for women in any sense, they all more than likely have homosexual tendencies, which is not a bad thing when you fess up to it.
It does not matter if women are aggressive, get physical, slap you or throw the first punch etc. By nature, we are physically stronger than they can ever be. We can easily subdue her or leave. I don’t care what “flawed” statics you show (everyone who has attended college understands you can make stats say whatever you want, particularly when we men control stats too), there are no stats in history that show women are highly likely to gang rape men, or that women are highly likely to beat men to death–including a ton of other sh*t the weak do to women.
Get the f*ck outta’ here with that BS, son!
Run it!

@ T. Moore – Suggest you do some reading concerning the NCFM before you poor mouth it. If you had you would know what they stand for, which is insisting on fair and equitable treatment in all areas for men. They aren’t looking for favorable treatment, just a fair deal.
NCFM never justified what CB did. They simply said that R should step up and tell the truth. Seems pretty simple and fair to me. They are also active in making sure men are treated fairly concerning divorce, child support, false rape claims and the like.
Most of the men reading this have a male friend, relative or acquaintance that has been treated unfairly concerning one or more of these issues. The sad thing is that sometimes the results of unfairness in these areas can lead to men being falsely arrested, losing their jobs and having a police record. Not a good thing.
Read and Think People.

I too hope that if Rihanna was abusive to Chris that she will be honest. There are so many young women who are plagued with violent & aggressive behavior that result in them being the abuser & then becoming a victim, I am no exception. This is definitely a hard issue to talk about, but someone needs to step up to the plate. My ex never had a history of hitting women, as far as we knew & then one day after I had flew off the handle…he flew too. I wasn’t ready for that & I wish I never put my hands on him in that way. Shortly, he began instigating arguments & fights & sometimes I had no clue how I would come out of the situation. Violence both ways is wrong…no exceptions. The more we learn how to communicate in a healthy way…the better it will be for everyone. I’ve been able to get counseling and express some of my feelings through poetry in my poetry book. I too stand behind the National Coalition for Men & want Rihanna to speak up so that this terrible issue can help others know that they are not alone…. Read More

@ Monique – Thank’s for stepping up. Class Act.
Sun, November 8, 2009 1:39 PM
I’m sorry that I haven’t had time to read all the subsequent posts, there have been alot. But I will say again anyone who keeps talking about whether this “justifies” his violence is missing the point. This isn’t about “justification.” It’s about HONESTY.
The court records say she hit him “numerous times” before he finally exploded. that leaked to the media and it was on CNN, Channel 9 News, People Mag, TMZ, and elsewhere.
http : //news.ninemsn.com.au/entertainment/768865/rihanna-hit-chris-brown-first
http : //www.people.com/people/article/0,,20300411,00.html
http : //poponthepop.com/2009/03/09/tmz-confirms-what-we-already-told-you-rihanna-hit-chris-brown-first/
So it’s legitimate to call on her to ANSWER that if she’s going to be talking about HIS VIOLENCE. If she didn’t commit any violence she should say so. But she has no responded to that. All she says is that he was violence to her and she refuses to comment on whether she was violent, and the mass media refuses to ask her or to seriously address it. That is hypocrisy.
If the genders were reversed, but all other facts the same, the media would be pointing out that it looks like he slapped her initially and did so numerous times before she exploded and hurt him, and they would ASK him to answer thtat. AND people would be talking about how it must have felt to be slapped by her boyfriend. But somehow Chris Brown’s feeling don’t matter at all. So what, he’s just a male. Well no, he has feeling too. And as a men’s rights organization we always have to fight to get society to see tha tmen have feelings too and their feelings are just as ligit as women’s and their health and well-being matters too. Instead all society does is see males as protector/providers who shouldn’t feel pain and should do nothing but go out and be soldier-pawns or earn money and not feel any feeling except the ones we want them to feel. Hence Chris Brown’s feeling just don’t matter. Society says so what if she slapped him around, he can take it he’s a man. Yes maybe he should have walked away but why don’t we TALK about his feelings too and what really happened? Why does the female DV always get covered up?
The mass media has given a one-sided story about DV for 40 years because it sells better when it’s only female victims, and here is just another example.
NCFM has never asked for anything more than equal rights for both men and women when it comes to sex discrimination. We focus on men’s rights because somehow their equal rights gets ignored such as in DV policies, parenting rights, criminal sentencing, forced labor laws, etc. For decades the Forced Labour Convention of 1930 excluded “able-bodied males” ages 18-45 from the ban on forced labor. And it already exempted military and prisoners too (which are 90-99% male throughout the world), so this was a whole new exemption for all males. This went on for years and no human rights group ever cared because it was men. If it were women the human rights groups would have been all over it, and rightly so. But the men? Nobody cared. They’re protector/providers so who cares.
It’s important for the media to tell the whole story on any issues that involves gender, rather than only giving the female-as-victim side. We cannot heal without being honest and discussing these issues honestly. We have to work together to make things better. Giving a half story does not promote gender equality. Nor does it help stop DV.
Elis Cose, an African-American author who was a contributing editor to Newsweek, wrote a similar book called “A Man’s World; How Real is Male Privilege? And How High is the Price.” It is similar to Warren Farrell’s “The Myth of Male Power; Why Men Are the Disposable Sex.” The mass media ignores both.
“Masculism” is “the belief that men have been systematically discriminated against, and that that discrimination should be eliminated.” (Oxford Companion to Philosophy.) It does not deny that women have been too. But it asks that men have equal rights as well. Otherwise it’s not equal.
Again I’m sorry I haven’t had time to read everything but many of these issues are addressed in more detail at http : //www.ncfm.org/?page_id=482
I wish peace on everyone and ask hope to promote HONESTY in the media. We can’t solve these problems without HONESTY.

I know this is about DV and not about war or other issues but to us it’s all tied together to male disposability. Male disposability is why nobody cares about Chris Brown’s feelings or talks about his own victimization, and it’s related to all the issues we talk about. And we believe Black males receive the worst of it. Research found that if a drunk driver kills a black male, the criminal sentence is an average of 2 years. If the drunk kills a white male, the average is 4 years. And if the drunk kills a white female, the average is 7 years. Research shows the gender discrimination in criminal sentencing is even greater than the racial discrimination, but nobody talks about that, of course, because males are the disposable sex. And of course Black males get treated the worst of all. They have the lowest life expectancy of anyone and they get the highest sentences of anybody.
War is one of the best examples of male disposability. Yes, it’s mostly males in government who made war but that’s the elite, not the ones doing the fighting, and doesn’t justify making only the males fight, and women have supported wars at almost the same rate men have, and opposed wars at almost the same rate men have. And women leaders have declared war. No gender oppression is comparable in magnitude to the deaths of males in war, which includes forced conscription. Over 20 million male soldiers died in WWII alone, about 500,000 of them U.S. soldiers. http : //www.hitler.org/ww2-deaths.html
Historically, a large percentage of men were drafted before they were old enough to even vote. The Vietnam Memorial has 58,000 male names and 8 female names. Males throughout the world are still forced to fight wars, even at ages as young as 6 in some countries. In the U.S. males must still register for the draft by age 18, including “only sons” and even disabled men if they can move about.
People who say “men make war” are the same ones who find it sexist to say men make science, medicine, etc., as women were restricted from participating and still did contribute in many ways. The same is true of war. Women leaders supported and declared wars, and women in the general population have supported wars at almost the same rate men have. E.g., 76% of women and 86% of men supported the U.S. military attack in Kuwait and Iraq during the Gulf War.
In his report, “War and Gender,” University of Massachusetts political scientist Joshua Goldstein documents how women have actively encouraged military adventurism, both in modern and indigenous societies, and that in the face of imminent conflict, women goad their men into combat. For example:
- During the American Revolutionary War, women were known to withhold sexual favors from reluctant fighters.
- During the American Civil War, Southern belles refused to accept suitors who did not take up arms.
- In World War I, British women organized the White Feather campaign in which they gave a white feather to men who refused to fight, as a sign of their unmanliness.
- Among the Bedouin, frenzied Rwala women bare their breasts and urge their men to war.
- Before the 1973 coup in Chile, women threw corn at soldiers to taunt them as “chickens.”
- During the era of the Soviet Gulag, female interrogators were just as ruthless as their male counterparts in extracting confessions.
- In the Rwanda genocide, Hutu women played a major role in killing Tutsi men:
“Women of every social category took part in the killings. … Some women killed with their own hands. … Women and girls in their teens joined the crowds that surrounded churches, hospitals and other places of refuge. Wielding machetes and nail-studded clubs, they excelled as “cheerleaders” of the genocide, ululating the killers into action.” African Rights report, Rwanda – Not So Innocent: When Women Become Killers, August 1995.) http : //www.gendercide.org/case_rwanda.html
We need HONESTY in our gender policies and in the media.

THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS! People criticize bloggers for inaccuracy BUT don’t give enough credit to keep the public informed. So, where’s ABC, MTV and Larry King on this. I DON’T BELIEVE THAT A MAN SHOULD JUST WALK AWAY WHEN HE’S BEING RAN UP ON LIKE A MAN. That’s bullshit and we are sending the wrong message to young girls. I see it everyday in urban High Schools – so FINALLY, SOMEONE ENTERS THIS IN THE CONVO. Ok, Oprah? Tom Joyner? Where ya at? Now, let’s talk damn it!!!
Rhianna needs to tell the f-in truth about how far she went before now, too.

Viloence on either side isn’t right. We all know this.
If Rihanna was abusive at any time towards Chris, she is totally in the wrong, the same way Chris is wrong for putting his hands on her.
I will say this though… if Chris was so abused, y didn’t he leave Rihanna? I’m not saying that him staying at all gave her any right to hit him, if she ever did. I’m just bringing this point up… everyone’s sayin how “stupid” Rihanna was for going back to him… wouldn’t Chris be just as stupid?
And let me just put this out there real quick…
Chris is a man, he’s stronger, can overtake a woman, just like most men can… at the end of the day… he’s a man, HE CAN NOT HIT A WOMAN. PERIOD! There is somewhat a double standard with the domestic violence issue… it’s a double standard that men have to deal with the same way us women have to deal with ridiculous amounts of double standards most of the time.

Wow! U sound ignorant as hell! Please stop talkin about these caribbean women… there’s ignorant, violent and trifling people everywhere… including the U.S. so stop tryin to act like the U.S. is so superior because guess what…. WE’RE NOT! WE’RE JUST AS FUKKED UP AS EVERYONE ELSE! WE JUST HAVE BETTER WAYS OF ALTERING THE TRUTH! (HIDING SH*T FROM OTHER COUNTRIES SO IT SEEMS LIKE EVERYTHING IS ALL GOOD… WHEN IN FACT, IN MY OPINION, THE U.S. IS ONE OF, IF NOT, THE MOST CORRUPT COUNTRY ON THE PLANET!)… YEAH, I SAID IT!
By the way, I’m a proud American woman, but I can’t support Americans putting down others for any reason. We’re not at all perfect in the U.S. We have NO RIGHT to judge others.
Now… getting back to the actual issue… CHRIS IS AN AMERICAN MAN WHO BEAT THIS WOMAN! HE HAD NO RIGHT TO DO SO! PERIOD!

The comments here are predictable. I don’t know if Rihanna hit Chris Brown 1st. But what will be said is that if a woman hits a man, the woman should be arrested for battery. No, it still doesn’t excuse beating a woman up & there’s no excuse to hit or kill any1 other than in self defense.
But to suggest that if a woman slaps a man, the man should just walk away & do nothing is a shitty idea. If a woman thinks that she can get away with slapping her husband, she may then believe that she can get away with more violent acts such as stabbing her husband, hitting him with a bat or even killing him. Yet lesbian talk show hostess Tammy Bruce who molests little girls doesn’t think that a man should have a right to defend himself if a woman is hitting her husband with a bat.
In 1999, there was an incident where a woman shot & killed 3 of her 4 kids. This woman had hit her husband for years with her hands & objects. The man tolerated it & just walked away as some posters here suggest. Well in 1999, she shot & killed 3 of the 4 kids & couldn’t kill the 4th 1 only because the bullets ran out. The idea some of you here suggest which is ‘the man should do nothing if a woman hits him’ did no justice to the 3 kids. Women who slap their husbands must be treated as criminals, even if the lesbian molester Tammy Bruce says otherwise.

Asea, again, don’t disagree with you that even if Rihanna did hit Chris Brown 1st, it didn’t justify beating her up because he did more than what he needed to protect himself, as he is much stronger, presuming that this is what happened.
BUT, if you’re suggesting that if a woman hits a man, the man should do nothing but just walk away, well that’s a bad idea. If a woman slaps a man, then the woman must be treated as a criminal & go to jail for battery. You may not give a shit about it, but when you don’t give a shit, they start to think they can do more violent acts, incl. attacking with a knife, bat or other weapon.
You say you don’t give a shit, but why don’t you tell that to Socorro Caro’s 3 children? Socorro Caro’s husband followed the advice of doing nothing but just walking away everytime Socorro Caro hit him, till in 1999, she takes a gun & shot & killed 3 children & couldn’t kill a 4th only because the bullets ran out.
Your attitude of ‘I don’t give a shit if women commit violence against their husbands’ is what permits the thinking of Socorro Caro that she can do more violent acts.
A woman who slaps her husband deserves to be treated like a criminal. If a man does nothing but walks away when his wife hits him, then he deserves it if she later attacks him with more violent means. Size isn’t everything. You admit that if a woman attacks a man with a knife or a bat, a weapon can inflict serious wounds or injuries, no matter what the size.
It’s just insensitive for some of you to suggest that a man should just walk away & do nothing when a woman slaps him. To lesbian talkshow hostess Tammy Bruce, a woman on Meth could be coming @ a man with a knife & if the man hits her in the face to protect himself, Tammy Bruce would still condemn him. Tammy Bruce has sex with little girls who lick Tammy Bruce’s anus after Tammy Bruce has farted & shitted so Tammy Bruce’s views are irrelevant.
Again, you should give a shit if a woman slaps a man. The woman must be treated as a criminal. No, it doesn’t justify a man beating her up, but to suggest that the man do nothing about it but just walk away is a bad idea which did no justice to Socorro Caro’s 3 dead children-killed because their father did nothing but walk away when their mother beat up her husband.

Whatever, she hit him because her ass was avoiding the question then she realize she had to answer the question and lied. Personally I think both of them are responsable. He owned up to it and kept it moving, nut she waited months later to say something about it after she went on a vacation with him, now she disgusted. Man get out of here. I’m not defending him because he was dead wrong, but she needs to fess up!!!!

He should of drove the car off the cliff and than no one would of known anything and they both would of payed for abusing each other.
