Steve seems shady to me. He did his ex-wife dirty in the divorce. I understand things fall apart, but the mother of your child should not have to take you to court in order to get child support payments. he called his last wife his soulmate also. And his wife used to mess with big time drug dealers and had children by both of them and the drug dealers were brothers…I don’t know about this one. I’m not sure where all the negativity is coming from but I love Steve! I listen to his morning show every morning and not only is he funny but he is very positive! He is ALWAYS helping someone or giving back which is why I feel God has blessed him so much over the years…and he will continue to bless him.
And he has no qualms about mentioning how God has blessed his life. No one is perfect but I think Steve is a good example of a black man. In my opinion.

I’m not a Steve lover, but I’m not a Steve hater either. That said, my family (from the warren, oh area) knows a few people who have been associated with him and the mother of his twin daughters. I’m sure his twin daughters are cool with him NOW, but he was not a model man or father to either of them. I went to college with them as well so I kinda heard the stories (we hung out in the same circle). Anyway, it’s good that he’s changing and growing, but he does strike me as suspect to a certain degree. Not hating, but when you have a past that is so jacked up, it takes a while for the “new” you and the new deeds to take effect so people can see that you’ve changed.

Used to be a Steve fan but after he tried to do second wife dirty by only providing $1,000 in child support and alimony AND throwing Bernie Mac under the bus…I am no longer a fan. A REAL MAN would not have done what he tried to do to the mother of his child.
1st wife had to take him to court and he FINALLY settled out of court because he didn’t want the media to get wind of him leaving his wife to be with the mistress (now wife).
And as for Bernie Mac…showing up at Bernie’s funeral (with wifey in tow) and crocodile tears did NOT impress me.

Without commenting on anything about the Steve Harvey cover, his past, etc, because I am not in the position to talk about them, I will say I am disgusted at all these comments. I wouldn’t consider myself a fan nor a hater, but I am appalled at these comments on things that probably a large percentage of you can’t confirm. I will also say whether it’s Steve Harvey or any other black celebrity or non-celebrity, it so sad that we talk of one another in this manner. I mean really, the negativity is exactly why we can’t move forward as a people. None of us are perfect and lots of us have “pasts”. We ALL live in glass houses. Having said this…it will not change because the insecurity levels will be there. That’s right, most who are negative are so because they are unhappy with themselves or their circumstances.
