Oprah Winfrey says she’s keeping singer BeBe Winans off her show until domestic violence charges against him are resolved. This comes on the eels of people challenging her decision to have him and Mike Tyson on her show while publicly condemning Chris Brown for his violence charges. He was supposed to be on today’s karaoke show. Here’s what ABC News reports:
The gospel singer had taped appearances on Winfrey’s “karaoke challenge” and was on last Friday. Following the show, some bloggers questioned whether Winfrey was guilty of a double standard by including Winans when she took a strong stand against domestic violence following Chris Brown’s assault of then-girl friend Rihanna.
Winans was charged with misdemeanor domestic assault last winter for allegedly pushing ex-wife Debra Winans to the ground. He has a court date set for Jan. 20.
Winfrey spokesman Don Halcombe says Winans is off the karaoke segment.

When did you first sense that things weren’t going to work out with Ray J?
Things didn’t feel right after the reunion. I tried to be his girlfriend, and then we went on tour and there were rumors that he was going to do season two. When I asked him about it, he said “no,” but then I found out the truth, among other things. Ray did break my heart — this whole thing has been an emotional roller coaster. I was offered a guest spot on season two, but I declined. I mean, why make me look stupid again? I’m not about to go on his show and support a season two when it’s all lies.What’s your take on Danger’s baby mama drama?
Whatever makes good TV, I guess. I knew Ray wasn’t the father, and I don’t think Danger wanted people thinking that, either. I think production has a great way of editing to keep viewers watching. It’s all about ratings.Did you or the other contestants ever think you were also competing with Whitney Houston?
He didn’t talk about Whitney at all, actually. I heard the rumors that he was messing around with her when we were together, but who knows whether that is true or not.What are your feelings toward Ray J today?
I care about him, and when I am around him, sometimes the feelings come back again. But I’m at a place now where talking about what really happened is allowing me to move on.Do you think he’s sincerely looking for love — or looking for fame?
Ray doesn’t have to go on a show to find love. It’s about exposure and money.In what way has the show been good for you, and in what way has the show been bad for you?

I never heard Oprah say that she would never have someone accused of abusing a woman on her show. All she said was if a man hits you once, he’ll do it again. If i’m not mistaken, she later devoted a whole show to the flip side of abuse where she had guys guilty of beating on women on her show. So Folks are letting their imaginations run away with them.
I also never heard her say that Chris brown would be banned from her show either. What does he have to say anyway? On larry king, he said he “blacked out” and doesn’t remeber anything anyway. sidenote – How can you be truly sorry for doing something you don’t remember doing?

That Rashad McCants/Khloe story is a fake/lie. The episode about them hacking into his voicemail aired many many months ago on “Keeping up with the Kardashians” not on “Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami.” And it wasn’t Kourtney who hacked into Rashad’s phone, it was Kim. I don’t believe that article because there are at least two other things that aren’t true on there.
Miss Tina’s clothing line is okay for older women—like my mother and grandmother. She makes clothes that would look great for them and she has great business skills, cuz she stays on her grind.

I’m not a fan of any of the knowles clothing lines, but this Miss Tina line that she sells on HSN is not that bad. It’s not for younger women, I would say it’s for women between the ages of 35 and up.The clothing also looks good on all shapes. My mother bhought an entire outfit from Miss Tina last fall for thanksgiving and she was looking trendy without looking stupid. My mother had on some sick heels a few months ago, and she suprised me again when she told me that she got them from Miss Tina on HSN. It’s not that bad guys.

I used to have respect for Oprah… not so much anymore. It seems as though she always has these “stand up for what she believes in” moments… and then, she changes up to suit her show. Like having rappers on… she said she’d never do that… for whatever reason, then she had Jay-Z on there.
