“While I respect Rihanna’s right to discuss the specific events of February 8, I maintain my position that all of the details should remain a private matter between us,” he said in the statement. “I do appreciate her support and wish her the best. I am extremely sorry for what I did, and I accept accountability for my actions. At this point, I am taking the proper steps to learn about me and grow from my mistakes. I only hope that others in similar situations can learn from our experience as well. Abuse of any kind is always wrong. The rest I leave it to God.”

As a grown black woman with a son and daughter–and yes, I’m very educated–live very well–and most importantly I’m old enough to see things very clearly.
I saw all of the Chris Brown interviews, including the one radio one with Angie Martinez. I think he completely understands his part in this and he has expressed remorse and seems to be learning more about his behavior through his d.v. counseling. It’s obvious that there are many commenting here that have not heard anything he’s said over the past few months. If you don’t want to listen–that’s cool–but then don’t comment on what you obviously haven’t heard.
Rihanna’s interview was interesting for several reasons. Her interview sounded very much like the “blog” comments. The minute Chris did the youtube apology, people commented that he sounded like he was reading from a teleprompter (nothing really wrong with that when you want to say what you have to say correctly). Interesting that Rihanna claims to not have heard the apology but from the slightest snippet shown her on GMA she said he was reading it. Hmmm.
Now for the TRUTH–and no I wasn’t there–but then neither were the rest of you!!!!
Domestic Violence victims do not MOUTH off to their abusers knowing their going to get their a** kicked!! If you think so, please find me a victim that told you they do that! They usually retreat and STILL get the a**** kicked. Do I know this from experience? Nuh, uh, not at all! Never been abused nor would I stand by and accept abuse–but that’s just me
But back to the story–really think about the supposed FACTS based on the police report–and then go do a test run for yourself. Report back here and tell me if you can bite someone’s ear while driving and they’re in the passenger seat–unless they have their face in your face–while you’re driving. Another thing–he’s driving with one hand and choking her with one hand–but she has two hands free? Try doing that too and tell me how it works for ya! Chris obviously did some damage in that car–he doesn’t deny it–but what is unclear is the actual TRUTH about how it went down and I’d bet anything that he’ won’t tell for 2 reasons: 1) he’s protecting her image and 2) it would only fuel the fire with those who believe he’s blaming the victim and would be pointless.

Yes, if they would have gone to trial both sides would have to speak on the actions of that night…including the individuals who called LAPD.
