Beyonce was spotted arriving at Kanaloa Nightclub in London last night in this cute off the shoulder silver sequin dress. And sources report that earlier in the week while in Liverpool, she took out a room at the just to store her 12 bags. A staffer said:
“She had seven suitcases, three hand-luggage bags and two boxes, all for her mammoth gig. In the cases there were, apparently, 14 dresses, lots of shoes, make-up and 25 wigs.”

Egypt’s chief Egyptologist Zahi Hawass allegedly called Beyonce a “stupid person” during her brief tour of the Giza pyramids last week. Egyptian newspaper journalist Summer al-Gamal said that Hawass became fed up with B after she did not “show the interest Hawass felt was deserved of the pyramids.” He says she was just there to stage some pics:
…During Hawass’ self-guided tour, he said “I showed her the Sphinx and I gave her a book on King Tutankhamen,” but then his anger and frustration made its way to the forefront.
“Then he stopped being diplomatic and said in anger, ’she’s a stupid person and she doesn’t understand a thing and she doesn’t want to understand’,” wrote Gamal.
“She’s coming here to take pictures and that’s it,” Gamal quoted Hawass as saying.
Gamal added that Beyonce did not win over the journalists following her, however, as at least one bodyguard threatened a cameraman with violence if he did not give the pop-star her space. “One of the bodyguards threatened the cameraman, saying he would smash the camera if he continued to film,” Gamal wrote.

Yes, the egyptologist was a bit out of line for calling her stupid. But, his main issue was that she used that moment as a photo-op, and that was indeed disrespectful.
As someone else stated, he was there to do his job, which was to teach and give her a tour; if she wasn’t interested, all she had to do was go on her own. Her acting as if she was so engrossed in what he was showing her wasn’t necessary. If she wanted to act out a scene or capture a fake moment on film, she could’ve just gone on stage or onto a movie set.
Next time, she should just let someone take a picture of her at the pyramids, just like they took pictures of her at the hotel or on the streets or at the concert. Her having this man take time out of his day to show her his culture, and what’s really a part of our own history, was something that she made the decision to do. And her being there to only stage a moment turned out to be very rude.
Seriously, what she did would almost be like someone coming to her show and ignoring what she was doing up there. Yes, she got them to pay for the ticket; but, that doesn’t make it any less disrespectful. So, what would even be the point of putting on the show, if people weren’t paying attention? I mean, I’m sure doesn’t put all those elaborate elements into her show just for herself; she actually wants others to see it and be interested.

I’ve always figured that Beyonce was not that intelligent. Wendy Williams had said it too. One of my teachers used to work at a radio station and had interviewed her when she was in DC…and had said the same. But do we really expect her to be intelligent. She spent all her teen years focused on the music business. She didn’t attend college or any form of higher education. People often mistake riches for intelligence. Jay-z seems like a smart dude. I think he’s highly responsible for where he is. But Beyonce has a lot of handlers and a great team. And her father seems pretty intelligent. Beyonce can sing and dance and that is it. Without all these people behind her monitoring all her stuff she really would not have achieved all that financial success. But then again learning about pyramids is not everybodys thing either. Beyonce isn’t an intellectual when it comes to the REAL WORLD. B doesn’t even have a high school diploma. If someone can’t even finish high school (not cuz of learning disabilities but cuz of choice to do music instead of school,) i doubt learning egyptian history in depth would interest them.
However, although I’m not the smartest person in the world, I am a straight A student with lots of experience in the working world. That does not mean that when I go to museums I will be interested in what the historian has to say. Some parts of history are interesting, whilst others aren’t. Different topics interest different people.
At the end of the day, B is under no obligation to listen to the historian and absorb what he says. It would have been nice for her to pretend she’s interested though.

You can’t even conduct archaeological expeditions in certain areas of the country without his say so and he also has the power to ban people from doing research there altogether if they improperly conduct or use their findings. With that said, I would be livid if I was in his shoes and forced to take time out of my exceptionally busy day to give a tour to a woman that was disinterested in anything but a photo op, esp when she could have given some business to a tour guide who is not in charge of petitioning for the return of stolen artifacts and a professor if she didn’t really want to “a lecture”.

With that said, I would be livid if I was in his shoes and forced to take time out of my exceptionally busy day to give a tour to a woman that was disinterested in anything but a photo op, esp when she could have given some business to a tour guide who is not in charge of petitioning for the return of stolen artifacts and a professor if she didn’t really want to “a lecture”.

I agree. The amount of comments in here are ridiculous, when you know nothing about this woman’s level of intelligence. Since I don’t see anyone giving her an I.Q test. Her business acumen is on point, and if she were dumb she would not have been ath the level she is, this long, financially, entertainment wise, and booking the things she gets.Obviously casting directors, those who book her to be their spokespersons from anything to food for hunger charities, to major videogames to cell phones, to water, to brokering millions of dollars worth of deals for perfumes doesn’t think she is non intelligent. I think some of you on here need to use context clues before you post, because the source of this article is VERY sketchy in the first place.
She may not be a scholar in school, but from the looks her career and success she is FAR from dumb and stupid. It’s a shame because some of these people up here talking are purely ignorant themselves, barely obtaining a degree themselves (as if that is a measurement of intelligence). Hi Everyone,
Not that anyone cares, but I went to Egypt and Jordan last year and by far it was the best trip I have ever taken!! I don’t know anyone that would NOT care about seeing the pyramids, sphinx, valley of the kings and queens, but hey, to each is own. Maybe she has been there hundreds of times !
Anyway, if you are interested in going to Egypt. I went through and my total trip cost was UNDER $2,000.00! Everything was included and I really enjoyed myself. What an experience!

Me personally having traveled the world don’t show my excitement or interest as people would expect, its not that I’m not interested or excited that’s just my demeanor. I feel celebs have it so hard because people want to dictate how you should live, dress, spend money, react etc… What happen to the days that we were happy that” at least one of us made it”. I AGREE 1000% !!…the way i see it, if you go to a place like that, especially one of the ancient 7 wonders of the world, at least show some interest. I think the fact what makes a lot of people mad, is that she had the chance to experience that, while alot of people can barely afford to travel to another state. I’m not saying she should be punished, but showing some gratitude to what GOD has allowed our ancestors to build would have been appreciated. But i guess for some people appearance is everything. I dont care how much money i make, i want to learn different things to be able to share with others…..I love my black people, but for some of us, our priorities are mixed up.

Dr. Hawass is the foremost Egyptologist in the world, not some random dude in the desert giving tours. To be given a personal tour of the Pyramid’s by him of all people is considered an honor. American’s are already perceived around the world as stupid and arrogant, Beyonce has lended to that thinking. I like Beyonce as an artist, but coming off that way illustrates why she shouldn’t be a role model. I always tell my kids I don’t care how much money you make or what you accomplish in life, it is more important that you are always well-mannered and respectful to all walks of life. I for one think Beyonce should extend a heartfelt apology to Dr. Hawass. She won’t, but it would show a level of maturity and God forbid she actually seem cultured and well-rounded. What a difference she might actually make.
