She is so unorginal. This looks like all of her videos combined in 1. She totally played Lady Gaga in this video. At first I even forgot Gaga was not in this video. They made her look like a crackhead with bad hair. How come she didn’t look that trashy in Bad Romance? Beyonce set her up just like she did to Shakira. I personally did not like the video or the song. Lady GaGa looked very out of place and Beyonce looked very trashy. Ok, so the video was definetly dope. Beyonce was literally living in the “Leyomi”, eyes closed and all. The concept of the video fit Gaga, meaning it was crazy and made no clear sense, but was great to watch. I felt like Gaga wasnt comfortable though. 1. The art/cinematography behind the video was on point but the overall concept’s relevancy to the song is just… I DON’T EVEN KNOW…someone explain it to me when it’s figured out! Way too much going on!
2. Lady Gaga was sooo out of her element and misplaced it was hard for me to even watch… it was just awkward… her hair was a mess…i thought she was suppose to be a background dancer or a damn extra b/c she didn’t stand out like her usual eccentric self! (But Bey made sure she commanded the video w/ her 47 wardrobe changes)
3. I also didn’t see any chemistry between Gaga or Bey…it’s like they were doing the video b/c they were obligated or something!
4. And lastly… Beyonce’s demeanor of being “HOOD” was just throwing me way off..it’s like she was trying to hard to be RAW…I was just lost!

The video was generic! The only part I liked was the intro, the rest very disappointing. I figured with all the hype and Lady Gaga feature that this video was cooking up something epic! What saddens me most about Beyonce,is, she is regarded as an artist who is at the top of the music game, yet, since dangerously in love, she has not put out anything of substance. I believe, Beyonce has the power to put a spotlight on artist who can truly sing without having to wear a leotard in order to sell their music; yet, by watching and listening to the music Beyonce has put out over the past two years, it makes one think Beyonce contributes to the stereotype of artist needing a gimmick in order to move records.
I honestly believe Beyonce is one of the last if not only artist left who can truly entertain and sing, it just disheartens me, to see Beyonce in a video like this looking as common as a groupy or “video ho”. Although, I understand Beyonce has earned the right to do what she wants in music/videos, I feel, Beyonce has a bigger obligation to help save the integrity of music and artist who can really sing.

I loved the video and thought Beyonce and Gaga were great. Hype Williams knows how to use color to make the video more interesting.
I can see why people would say Beyonce looks like Rihanna given her hair color and that particular hair style but it is important to remember that Beyonce has been rocking blonde hair for years and only recently has Rihanna dyed her hair blonde after dying it jet black so it is really Rihanna who is copying Beyonce.

Sorry to disagree with all the Beyonce fanatics but this video was horrible….
1) Am I the only who thinks that Beyonce is always jacking Rihanna’s style…not to say that Rihanna is most original artist. But whenever Rihanna introduces a new style to the mainstream, Beyonce always follow suit.

Ok last night I finally went to see Bey perform live at the O2 and it was fierce/amazing/energetic and defo worth the money.
As for this video I’ll be honest I’ve been waiting to see it for a while and I think it’s good but not great, at the same time I’d like to point out that long lasting female artists like Madonna end up just doing a video every now and then to keep people talking about them and keep them on everyone’s tongues, it’s an old trick and believe it works.
Sometimes the video has to be ’shocking’ in order for you to be seen as different, everyone was getting bored of black and white Bey vids with two girls in the background so she had to change it up and clearly it has worked from looking at all the hits on this post. Anyway prefer the song to the vid if I’m honest!

I think video phone is a fun silly song but the video to me was like the extended version on “check up on it” which was also directed by Hype williams. I think beyonce can deliver a much better video than this its up to her and her camp to work with new or creative people to bring something fresh,its all about re-invention and giving something different that you havent already done b4. Beyonce and Lady GaGa have finally dropped the long awaited clip for their duet “Video Phone”, somehow managing to create a music video that’s just as tacky and tasteless as the song itself.
I know a lot of people are going to have their judgement clouded by this because it’s two of the biggest diva’s in pop coming together, but the “Video Phone” clip is extremely degrading to women. It depicts a group of men with camera’s for their heads leering over Beyonce and GaGa as they spread their legs, bend over, gyrate, and suggestively rub phallic looking toy guns firing out rays to represent ejaculation.
It’s extremely classless and basically makes women look like nothing but mindless sex objects. These are the types of videos that people like to refer to when they’re tearing down Hip-Hop culture. I’m extremely disappointed in these two.

I enjoy Beyonce. I think that she is undeniably at the top of the R&B/Pop world. And, I am not some jealous girl that is hating to hate. BUT, this video does not do it for me!!! The hype surrounding this video was of monumental proportion. I was epecting more. And,I never saw how Lady Gaga was supposed to fit in. I have to agree with the comments of others who said that Beyonce has changed, and not for the better! This was too over-the-top sexy for me, and I am grown! Yes she is an entertainer; but, don’t forget, Beyonce’s management are the people who set her up to be this ultra classy, sophisticated, “Diana Ross”- reincarnate! Now, it is hard to tel who the “real Beyonce” is these day becaus her artistic design seems to be going in an entirely different direction. Anyway, while I admire Beyonce’s talent and I think she is an amazing artist, a beautiful woman, and a wonderful entertainer, I thought the video was a bit too over-the-top. Not everyone is going to agree, so don’t expect everyone to say what an amazing video it was. I thought it was a little raunchy and while I respect Beyonce as a performer and as a woman, I think that she can be both classy and sexy in her video. Just because something is sexy doesn’t mean it has to lack class.
I thought the concept of the video was great, but as someone pointed out, it got twisted into a raunchfest to cover up the less than impressive song. Lady Gaga’s creativity is so mind blowing that I think she really did not need to be apart of this video. She’s way better than this….just watch the video for “Bad Romance” and see how that video compares to this. You’ll see how poorly orchestrated this video was. Beyonce is a force to be reckoned with and we know she can do better, so she should. It’s just that simple.

Whhhhaattt, was that? lol ok the positives, Bey’s body is on point! Beautiful chick and can really move. Now the not so positives: That was just too skanky, she looked like a video hoe instead of the artist! She doesnt need to do all of that! she should save some of that for the bedroom with Jay.
