After Mr. Shawn Carter said in a recent interview that recently saying he’s ready to start having babies with Beyonce and that ‘procreating’ is high on their agenda right now, Mrs. Carter is shutting that ish down.
Beyonce spoke to the press overseas this week and let them know now is not the time for birthin’ no babies:
“It’s not time for that yet,” she said. “But definitely there will be a time. I want to be a great mother, the kind of mother that I have. I want the same bond that I had with my mom and that would be enough for me.
“The security and love I feel being in a relationship, a marriage, it’s absolutely incredible. Incredible.”
Oh well Jay. You tried. Maybe it’ll happen in a couple years….

He is going on a major tour to promote his album and she is promoting hers now. So what sense would it make for them to have kids right now that they won’t have time to take care of? When you have goals you need to stick to them until you achieve them. Most of my female friemds have children, and mostly out of wedlock. Honey, we’re in a new day and age, but our ovaries and wombs are still real old school. Once you get past 35, your fertility decreases and the chances of having a child with birth defects increases. That’s hard, cold medical facts.
Real talk. Don’t mind all those celebs who are having children in their 40s- you don’t know how many tens of thousands of dollars they had to spend on fertility treatments (though some like Courtney Cox Arequette are open about it) and how many tears they shed after years of trying.
Don’t you find it odd that so many 30ish and 40ish celebs have been having twins – like J. Lo, Nancy Grace, Marcia Cross, Julia Roberts to name a few?
Having fertility treatments increases your chance of having twins because several embryos are implanted one time to improve your chances of one taking. And sometimes – several take.
So… actually, if you do want to increase your chances of having a healthy child easily, you should consider ‘popping out babies’ at 28 or certainly thereabouts.
Before a random stan starts – I’m in no way judging Beyonce – I’m around the same age and I have no children yet because I’ve focused on school and my career.
But I am aware that I need to get to ‘popping’ very soon. And hence I certainly would not wish it on Beyonce that she waits until “40 or even older” and then potentially puts herself through the heartache of infertility problems.

There are always beautiful children out there waiting to be adopted if we couldn’t have one naturally. But the bottom line is that if she is supposed to have her child at 40 50 60 or whenever she chooses then she will have the child regardless. I understand her desire not to have children. There is a 15 year age difference between my husband and I. We’ve been married for almost 10 years, and I’m pregnant with our first child now. I’m due in June 2010. When we got married, I was just planting my feet in the legal world. I wasn’t ready for children because I knew that I wouldn’t be able to give them all of my attention. I’m glad we weren’t hasty, and I’m glad he didn’t pressure me. When you have children, you have to be prepared to give 100% of yourself. You have to be selfless and unselfish. Many people questioned my decision to wait b/c of the age difference between my husband and I. It was a smart decision. A marriage is a like a bridge. You have to take the time to understand each others strengths and weaknesses before you make any life-altering decisions. I wish Jay and Bey luck. It seems like everyone is rooting for them to fail.
