I am so glad you posted this!!! After seeing what she said about Jermaine I REALLY want them to get back together. They seem like such a good match. I also appreciated her honesty about Michael and his drug use. Being in denial isn’t going to help anyone else in the future. This was the best interview I have seen by ANYONE since his death. RIP MICHAEL, and I love Janet!

Janet’s laugh and smile are too cute. She still has this over all innocense about her. You want to protect her like she’s your lil sister.

Why is it when Rihanna did her interview with 20/20 everyone jumped on her calling her an opportunist. Everyone was saying that she is just doing this to promote her CD but when Janet does it no one has anything to say. I personally don’t have a problem with either one of them using tragedies that have happened in their lives to sell albums because that is what everyone in the entertainment industry does but I just find it funny that no one is accusing Janet of this but trashed Rihanna for doing the same thing.

I really do believe that Michael suffered from a lot of depression and related issues after being FALSELY ACCUSED. Perhaps his drug use never would have escalated to the extent that it did if he didn’t have to go through such a public form of humiliation. We will never know.

Janet RARELY does interviews. That is HER STYLE. She MAY do ONE when something big is about to happen. Rihanna just waited months to do a tell-all. But for the benefit of what???? Herself. Janet didn’t have to talk about MJ. DEATH then a period of silence is not unusual.
Now… you really can’t compare Whitney because she was fresh off crack. When else could she have done it. You canNOT compare her to Rihanna. Rihanna let the world all up in her business when she definitely didn’t HAVE to……….
What did you learn about Janet in that 30 minutes? Shes insecure about her body but is learning to love it. MJ was indeed surrering from a drug addiction, previously reported… and you REALLY know no more now than before. It was just more of a horses mouth. and that she loves JD– which she has said before. And she also said before that he made her secure with her body… she just said it in PRINT. What Janet did was grace ABC last night. She didn’t TELL ALL. She really told you nothing… but made you feel like she gave you everything.
She is the QUEEN of elegant evasiveness and people like Beyonce (in comparison) who attempt this, should take notes. No shade— it’s true.

Ms. Jackson spoke the truth in her interview and nothing but the truth, unlike Rihanna who told only 1/2 of the story in her interview in order to portray herself in the best light. Which we all know was an attempt to gain any lost supporters and to boost her record sales. For the record, I am not on Team Chris or a stan, I just like to hear the entire story or none at all!
If Ms. Jackson was a true opportunist she would have been all over the television shortly after MJ died like Latoya, Jermaine and Joe.

Aiight…I think that all 3 women did the exact same thing that most entertainers do. Regardless of when the tragedy occurred, they all knew they had albums to release. They all decided to wait (for publicity’s sake) to have interviews around the times that their albums would be released. That’s what entertainers do. I think Rhianna gets more flack because her situation was a little different. She was involved in a domestic violence situation with another star, which the public takes really seriously. Rhianna didn’t really have an excuse to wait to speak about her situation. She could of have had a 20/20 interview the next month (or after the trial) and moved on. Chris Brown could have had a 20/20 interview the next month (or after the trial) and moved on. On top of that, all you see are images of her apparently moving on with her life…partying, traveling, all that… but when it’s time to release an album, she takes that opportunity to speak about everything that happened. Mind you it looks even worse because Chris Brown is trying to come out with an album at the same time. Janet Jackson went back to work after Michael died. This would have been the first time that she would have needed to do an interview. The same thing with Whitney Houston. She was involved in a situation (drug abuse, jacked up marriage, etc) that you HAVE to have yourself together before you can even attempt to do an interview about all that AND she didn’t have a need to put all her business out there until she was ready to release an album. They accomplish what they set out to do. Now look, we sitting here talking about all of them……That’s just what they do!!!!!!

I watched the interview, and Janet was simply FLAWLESS! She has such an awesome personality and she is so beautiful. Her interview also seemed heartfelt and in control! It made me tear up a lil bit when she was talking bout her bro, MJ. I could also tell from the interview that she was still in love w/ Jermaine (that was obvious).
