Lady Ga Ga had one of the best performances. I didn’t realize how talented she was until I saw some of her piano acoustic performances on youtube. Pop really does her voice no justice and she can play the piano. She is mad creative and she writes most of her songs. Whitney was great too.

Nowadays, nothing that people do in this world today should surprise me us. Remember Clinton and he was the President. The sad realtiy is when it comes to serving their own self interest some individuals will t ]ake this route each and every time no matter who it hurts. Alicia Keys needs to win an award for this category. Even though, we don’t know how everything went down and we may never know the truth but some things just don’t add up. Relationships are work and if given the chance maybe Swizz Beatz and Mashonda could have weathered through there problems minus outside influences. Or maybe not, but with all AK’s songs of empowerment for women, she should have never allowed herself to be labeled a “HOMEWWRECKER.” Now I am just disappointed, did this man mean this much that she could not wait until he had his house in order.

It’s clear the majority of artists nowadays are not performers. Not taking away from their talent but people want a show and some people are just singers. While others are true entertainers and know how to grab an audiance.
The Alicia K. performance was wacktackular!! Rihanna is zzzzzz as well.

Maybe I am wrong but taking music class in school the teach you about range. A good singer has range. I think Lady Gaga is great, but no one knock her for running around with her butt check hanging out all the time but they say rhi always naked. I think alot of singer if they take lesson can learn there range. Asthani gotten a whole lot better over the years so to say Gaga was the best vocally is just a little to soon. Hell fergie has a good voice. Beyonce has a good voice but sounded like a little girl next to jennifer huson in the movies and at the grammies. It depends on how strong you are with your breathing. The AMAs never put on a good show.
Janet’s performance was okay but the thing is she is out of shape which is why she probably lip synched with the exception of a few words. Not everyone can sing and dance with energy-people like Beyonce make it look easy. Also, Janet’s outfit was not flattering at all but I know she has gained weight again and maybe self conscious.
I like Lady Gaga she is very talented but her performance style and the accompanying theatrics is a little too much. You have to wonder if she can keep up this image 5 years from now.
Jennifer Lopez should have stopped making albums a few years ago. Her time has passed.

Those making a big deal about J.Lo falling must have 4gotten about the pics that Natasha put up showing her rehearsing for the AMA … I knew she wouldn’t have been able to do that move and I’m sure they all prepared for it so it is not that much of a shock value to me …. she did a great job … many of these non-vocal performers like Rihanna can learn a thing or two from her … if you can’t sing then make it up with performance.
Also I don’t know why people keep saying Beyonce is a dancer … she is nothing compared to Ciara and Janet …. when she gets older you guys are gonna be eating your words as well … Beyonce is like Tina Turner and Cher not much dancing as you all may think … go ask a real dancer to compare her to Janet and CiCi …. Janet knows she is older and knows her limitations and so should the rest of you who are complaining about her lackluster performance.

While some performances were alright, there were very few that were amazing. I feel that the music industry has tanked miserably. Is it the artists’ fault? Is it the fans’ fault? Maybe the fans are not demanding that much from their favorite artists anymore. As of late, all the songs that are coming out are meaningless….j.lo louboutins? beyonce with videophone? from her sasha fierce album. rihanna can’t sing or can’t dance yet famous and successful. 50 cent wit baby by me? These artists, to name a few, are really joking right now. Maybe the blame can’t all be put on the artists. Some of them manage to be successful while releasing nothing but mind-numbing garbage. If more of you paid more attention to the lyrics and ignore the beat, more of you would realize what poor music you are listening too. Not too long ago, YOU REALLY HAD TO BE TALENTED TO BE SUCCESSFUL. Remember the old Mariah Carey…look at her now. Is it because the fans don’t demand much from them anymore? A pretty face…a nice body…nice expensive clothes…naked pics here a scandal there…a few publicity stunts? Is that all it takes to sell an album nowadays. Where are the days you had to be vocally talented to be called a singer? Now anybody and everybody is a singer..vocally talented or not.
The AMAs left me dissappointed and really just saddened. Im realizing more and more talent is no longer a requirement to be a star in the music industry.

I really thought that the show was classy and the best award show that I have seen in a while. The people who set up the show had it very organized.
Jennifer Lopez, now I don’t care for her and thinks she needs to go enjoy her husband, kids, and money, but her performance wasn’t bad! I think that people are just overly criticizing her because a lot of people were fed up with her attitude and fame from the early 00’s. She did very well, and had one of the better performances of the night. She did better than Janet’s stiff a**. So what if Janet’s a legend, she aint got it no more and made a fool outta herself.
Alicia, I hate when she was trying to dance a little sexy in her performance. It looked like she was about to masturbate herself. Besides that, her performance was pretty good.
Timbalan, WTF? I was just like, what in the world is this stupid sh**? It was horrible and Nelly’s voice sounded as horrible as Rihanna’s!
Lady gaga, her performance was extremely boring and predictable. It looks like she’s running out of ideas. Whoever thinks she’s s good performer or had a good performance last not is just feeding off of the hype around her. So what if she’s creative and “artist” EVERY SINGLE SINGER AND RAPPER IS CREATIVE AND ARTISTIC THAT’S WHY THEY’RE CALLED MUSIC ARTISTS! Although Lady GA GA has a really good voice it is sidelined by her psychotic episodes. I think shame on the American Music Awards for allowing her to display such a mental and violent performance on television. It is not Art it is insanity. I like J.LO., but her performance and outfit were terrible. I was so moved by Whitney Houston performance. She looked good and she delivered on her performance. Rhianna always look good whether she’s wearing tape, gauge or a dress. I couldn’t figure out what was going on with the outfit. Her performance was demonic. She seem to have a dark, evil dreary performance sometimes. She needs to take a break she is out there too much. The television and interest is saturated with her. The performace of the night was Jay Z and Alicia Keys. Jay always does his things so hate on haters. Jay was dressed very nice and classy. Alicia need some lessons from Jay about class. I hate the way she dresses sometimes. It is tacky. I like Alicia and she can sing, but change your wardrobe. I liked Keith Urban performance, but next time don’t wear your pants so time and maybe tell your wife to lay off some of the makeup. I love my makeup, but Nicole I love your as an actress, but all that powder you put on makes you look artifical. Mary J. Blige performance was ok, but I loved her hair. I could have done without Eminen , 50 cent, and Janet. Janet please retire. Her singing and her performance was very boring. I think AMA was being nice by letting her open. Wrong move! Adam Lambart has a good voice, but his performance was dark and evil too. What is this saying to your audience. Singing is supposed to uplift people not put them in a dark place.

I heart me some whitney. It was so good to see her up there sober, in the moment and truly enjoying herself. I can’t believe that she was the only artist who thanked God last night. He truly has his hands on her. Her voice is getting better and better. Loved the outfit, loved the hair, loved bobbi Kris smiling and telling her mom she loved her. Felt so proud.
Mary vocals were good-Kelly was good but boring. Janet- something is off- not sure what it is but I want her to do well. J-Lo sit down- don’t like the song but dang girl u got up real fast.
RiHanna- has the best PR because they sure hyped her up but her performance was a #fail- just no stage presence and weak vocals

I don’t know what everyone was watching, but Whitney’s voice A.C will never be the same (A.C means After Crack) I miss the old Whitney but she did good.
Mary is good but I didn’t like the hair and the screaming and hollering always brings me back to church but she can sing.
Alicia Keys doing the butterfly was a no mama, in my eyes, with the Omarion look-a-like gyrating and dancing like he had a stroke, could’ve took her behind the piano instead of a wall she found in Brooklyn.
