That is a realll cheap move by Def Jam.Her sales for her album being a dollar should not count. That’s skewing sales for artists who have the balls to drop, and have their album at regular price. It’s a shame. They are only doing this because Susan Boyle is projected to come in at number one, WITHOUT SLASHING HER PRICES. Plenty of artists have came in at number one without slashing prices. Including T-Pain who outsold her on her last c.d. I mean they should let the material and performances sale, rather than going to those desperate lows to try to get a number one album.
They are just afraid of coming in at 3 or 4 behind Susan Boyle of all people, Lady GaGa, and Adam Lambert. I seriously don’t hate the girl, wish her well in her music and career. But that is really being a cheap skate and pushing the envelope. I mean it’s good for fans, but at the end of the day, it’s skewing her standings in the industry by far, especially when other Def Jam artists like Amerie do not get the same special treatment. Well i bought Rihanna cd last night because my friend told me it was da bomb!, and she was right!! Great lyrics, good beat, surprisly a good album.

I absolutely love Rihanna. Her voice is different, and her music is unique. Riri is still a very young girl. I think people forget that. There’s a lot she has to learn. I like her new album as well. I for one got the album the day it came out and like some others have mentioned before, I love some Bey, but Rih Rih did it up with this album. The lyrics are great. She has taken chances with her voice that were sucessful. The overall album gets two thumbs up from me. Not even including the amazing pics from the book. Rihannas album is really good. ONe thing I can say about her is that she tries to make records with substantial lyrics. Her songs are deep and introspective. You all can say what you want about her, but she does put out good music. This album is very solid, and if most of you all put your hatred aside for her, and truly listen to the songs without judgement, you would see that this album is showing rihanna growing as an artist, and bringing some seriousness to her craft. No jingles for ms. Ri Ri. Rihanna is always one step ahead of the risks that other artists are willing to take. She changes, everyone starts taking about her and bashing her, then the next thing you know, people start following what she is doing. Watch come next year alot of artists are going to try to come out with deeper themed albums and try to take their music in a different direction. Just watch.
