The 52nd Annual Grammy Award Nominees were announced last night. Beyonce is shutting down the other Grammy nominees with a whopping 10 nods for herself. She has the most, while Taylor Swift has the next most with 8. Both ladies are nominated for 3 categories together–Record, Song, & Album of the Year. Lady Gaga is also nominated in those 3.
Kanye West, Black Eyed Pea, and Maxwell all got 6 nods, while newcomers Drake and Kid Cudi also grabbed nods–Drake 2 and Cudi 3. And congrats to Keri Hilson for copping 2 nominations as well. This Awards show may actually be a goodie this year.

I love it when everyone that dislikes beyonce dissed this album and accompanying singles–saying that she is washed up, that’s she’s old, that she’s tired, that she needs to sit down and have a baby because her career is over, and no one wants to see her anymore…Now, here we are, a year later, and Beyonce is the first woman in the last 25 years to get 10 straight nominations, and the only artist of this decade with the most nominations.
Love her or Hate her…she is one of the most successful muscians today, and her work ethic is undeniable.
I may not like all of her singles, but she has still managed to garner more followers.

Its not about talent? Are you saying Beyonce is not talented? Beyonce may or may not be alot of things, but one thing that is not debated is her level of talent. If Beyonce were not talented, like alot of new pop singers today (and we know who they are) she wouldnt be regarded as the greatest entertainer/ performer of this generation. If she were not talented, she would not have 10 Grammys under her belt for her work in Destiny’s Child and her first 2 solo albums. Lets look at poeple who actually lack talent. For example, Rihanna. With 3 Albums, she has 1 Grammy. Now on to poeple with talent Beyonce and A Keyes 10 and 11 Grammys respectively in 3 albums. Beyonce deserves everything she has gotten. 10 grammy nominations to the hardest working women in the business who had a great multi-platinum album. Come onnnn. Now the UK has crowned her the new Queen of Pop over Madonna and B Spears. She deserves it. She earned it.

I think it is interesting that about a month ago, we all thought that we would be talking about Rihanna’s album sales. She had this highly anticipated album, all these high profile interviews and now look. Her album tanked during its first week. Barely outselling Lady Gaga’s re-release, coming in 4th place. I think both Rihanna stans beyonce stans, Rihanna, Def Jam, alla these blog, thought this album would do good considering how much publicity she has gotten in the past 6 months. But the facts are, that the album and her singles have not done well. AND NOW LOOK. The real talk of the town is BEYONCE who has 10 Grammy nominations. I am very proud of her. she works hard and deserves it. And Maxwell who also deserves it. And Now I hear with alla these nominations, Beyonce has broken yet another record. hmm whats was supposed to be a historical week for Rihanna, turned into a historical week for Beyonce. i didn’t like beyonce’s album very much. imo, america supports a lot of garbage music. the artists that truly write their songs and work so hard to put a quality album out are overlooked for mediocre, poorly written albums. she may know how to sing but many of the songs on her album are pure garbage. i don’t get it. she sings a lot of catchy stupid songs and even u stans can’t deny it. but anywho congrats to maxwell. his album was the business. everybody else is not worth talking about.

I just think that Bey is getting a little to comfortable being the “top chick” in the game. Her videos are repetitive and boring. Video Phone is the only one she really put some thought into, and I think she only did that because she felt threaten by Lady GaGa’s success. I’m just saying when Michael J & Janet were on top of their game you would wait up all night if you had to for their video premeire, Bey just thinks that whatever she throws together is going to be gold.
As for Taylor she is cute and it will all wear off by the third album, my six year old loves her though.

When I was in high school, girls that didn’t know me would talk $hit about me all the time. “She think she cute” or “She’s out there”. None of it was true. When confronted about how they knew what they thought they knew, they could only say what they heard from someone else. No eye witnesses. No one could say I saw her do $hit. It was hurtful, but I learned that what I hear about people is probably not true and I shouldn’t repeat it like it’s fact. It’s most likely made up by people who don’t like someone. I also learned that when someone who doesn’t know you has deep negative feelings about you it’s likely jelousy. Jelousy over what they perceive to be some kind of favor that you’re receiving that they are not.

Was Janet Jackson much different? I love Janet like cooked food, but that chile can’t sing and she was the one who was famous for her a$$ first. She shook that money maker like nobodys business and we loved it. We would do her video dances with her. Granted she had on more clothes, but so did everyone else. Bey is an artist from THIS decade. Not 1993. EVERYTHING has changed. Music in general is very different.
Where is the outrage for all the music that is clearly directed at strippers? About half the rap songs played on the radio and in the club are clearly about strippers. Is anybody mad about that? I think that has a more negative impact on young people than Beyoncés showgirl outfits.
