I simply cannot stand the color of Sade’s voice… always found it kind of strange that other people do, so many even love it. (I even prefer to listen to Naomi’s music, now THAT’S weird, isn’t it? ;) )
Then again, I’ve worked with sound engineers who truly dislike – even hate – Beyoncé’s. Now I do have some things against that girl, but absolutely nothing against her voice.

Not trying to convert anybody into a Sade fan but if you get a moment PLEASE go back and listen to KISS OF LIFE. Really listen to it without outside distractions. Take in her voice, the lyrics and music and see if it touches you. There is something magical about her spirit. Her songs actually have a lot of life and depth to them if you really listen.

My girl!!!! Thank the Lord she’s finally back. I haven’t ‘purchased’ a CD in a while – normally get copies from friends. But trust – I will be in the store come Feb 8 to purchase my own copy of Soldier of Love. She is one of my all time favorites.
And for those who haven’t seen her – check her out as soon as she tours. She and her band put on an amazing show – one of the best I’ve ever seen and I’ve been to probably 40+ shows. She comes on stage casually dressed and within minutes she’s barefooted. No weaves – no skimpy dress, no gyrating. Just a mike and her boys and you will be fully entertained.
I’ve also heard that Maxwell sings with her on one of her songs.

When I heard this on Tom Joyner Morning Show the other day, I was beaming like a kid. This is one of 4 of my all-time favorite artists ( Michael Jackson, Prince, Erykah Badu).
Sade is just simply timeless like Cashmere, black pumps and pearls. I was in high school when she first came out. Here we are 25 years later and she is still amazing and she does her music when she is ready. A real artist waits until they are inspired. They never just pump out CD after CD.
Love Deluxe(her Greatest Hits CD)stays in my CD rotation in my vehicle. Nothing Can Come Between Us, Paradise, No Ordinary Love, Cherish the Day, Kiss of Life, I’ll Be By Your Side all moves me to tears because she sings so truthfully about that unshakable, undeniable love and pain.

Whoa there is some mad love here for Sade… Just have 2 put my two-cents worth on the subject. Helen Adu – Sade simply brilliant. Haven’t bought an album in years because quite frankly never been compelled to, but I will be picking up Sade’s Soldier of Love. Her voice is just sooo piercing! Try listening to “Pearls” and tell me that song doesn’t move you.
