Tyler Perry revealed on his website yesterday that his mother, Willie Maxine Perry, died. He did not go into detail about how but she was 64 and was apparently sick since August. Tyler also revealed in an email to fans that his mother was “the wisdom behind Madea.” She’s also one of the very few family members in his life that he was close to. R.I.P.
In other news, Bryant Gumbel has revealed he has lung cancer. And he’s had surgery to remove part of his lung. Get better soon Bryant.

I feel for Tyler Perry because you world changes when you Mother or Father passes away. I send my condolences to the family and Pray for them to have strength to endure.
I cried when I heard about Bryant Gumble. I know how this disease can affect a person. He is in God’s hand and I pray that he is in remission.
