I’m convinced Lil Wayne just loves chillin’ with 5-0. He was detained tonight for the umpteenth time at the Texas border by the US Border Patrol. Apparently dogs sniffed out marijuana (surprise surprise) on his tour bus. But none was found on Weezy himself.
So while no one’s been arrested yet, Weezy and the 11 other people were released but the case is still “open” with the Brooks County Sheriff’s office.
Weezy’s already been in trouble too many times to count for drugs and gun charges. His prison sentence from his most recent gun charges starts February 2010.

Not sure WTF is going on in the world of celebridom right now with child molestation, but it seems to happen way too often. 40 year old “America’s Next Best Dance Crew” judge Shane Sparks was arrested on several counts of child molestation Friday morning. His bail is $590,000. Here’s what MTV knows so far:
Sparks, whose age was listed as 40 in the arrest warrant, was charged with six felony counts of committing a lewd act on a child, identified by her first name and last initial as being under the age of 14, “with the intent of arousing, appealing to, and gratifying the lust, passions and sexual desires of the said defendant and the said child.” The alleged incidents are said to have occurred between July 1, 1994 and August 1, 1994, December 1, 1994 and August 3, 1995, August 4, 1995 and April 30, 1997 and April 4, 1995 and April 30, 1997.
He was also charged with two counts of oral copulation of a person under the age of 16 by someone over the age of 21 for incidents that allegedly occurred between April 4, 1995 and April 30, 1997 and August 4, 1995 and April 30, 1997.
KTTV Fox News 11 in Los Angeles reported that the victim was one of Sparks’ dance students at Millennium Dance Complex in Los Angeles.

Stop with the “why is this coming out 15 years later!” If ANY of you know about child molestation it is a very delicate situation and it can take months and years before a victim will disclose what happened to them – because they are ashamed, felt that it is their fault, and they will not be believed, etc. This isn’t the first time that I had heard about Shane molesting someone. I see your point and I agree to a certian extent. But this has nothing to do with “black” and “white”. Chris Brown, Shane Sparks and others made their beds when they choose to abuse/violate other people. And their victims were also people of African descent also. These aren’t just scandals that have “black” men involved, but real life situatioins where unfortunately these men choose to hurt others for their benefit.
Not stating this to anyone in general but, One thing I have never got about the African-American community there is so much defense of “black” men that have committed crimes even when their victim is also “black” and hurting moreso. I remember years ago 10-20 “black” men gang-raped an eleven year old girl and many women defended these men and vilified the little girl.

Don’t know why, but Reply isn’t working for me…anyway, ‘R’ you are absolutely right! A person that is molested as a child may not have the courage to come forward. It is not until he/she is an adult and realizes that what was done to them was not their fault. If people read the court documents, they will see that the statute of limitations is passed, but because of the age of the victim at the time and the acts committed they are able to still press charges now.

I’m surprised Shane didn’t get his own post, but the whole thing with that is when it happened, he was 25, and from what courts are saying, she was more than likely 15.
More than likely, in those times and even now, 15 year old girls are fast and hoish because their parents don’t know how to raise them right because they probably had them when they were 15 anyway.
If she was 15, I doubt it was rape. She was more than likely a willing participant.
The whole thing reminds me of the Genarlow Wilson case, where he was 17 or 18 and got head from a 15 or 16 year old and they charged him as a rapist when she willingly gave head to him (along with several others at the party). So it’s obvious that girl was a little ho (especially since she had a baby a couple of months later).
Parents really need to raise their little girls with more respect for themselves. Already I’m seeing videos of 8 year olds “dropping it like its hot” and people think it’s cute. But as a black community, we want to get mad when other people call us classless and ghetto.

On another note that isn’t completely related to the Shane case, but I think that the laws need to be more defined. A 16 year old who gives oral sex to her 18 year old boyfriend is not “molested”. Especially if she’s the one who brings it up and suggests it.
But back to the Shane case, the “victim” is 30 now. So she’s been a grown adult for awhile now. And I don’t think it’s a coincidence that it’s coming out now when ABDC is becoming really big and he’s becoming more well known because of SYTYCD.

On the Shane Sparks issue – I recognize that people may wait to come forward because of shame and fear but I do wonder if something else is going on here – 15 years is a loooooooonnnnnggggg time to just now press charges. I don’t know what’s what here but I would like more information before I rushed to decide whether Shane is a nasty SOB that should be under the jail or if this was a case of he messing with someone that he thought was older (and they turned out not to be) or what. (not that what any of us thinks matters anyway). We’ll see . . .

I wonder where some of you get your reading comprehension skills from. On the charges it states that the victim was under 14, so talking about she may have been a 15 year old ho is beyond dumb. Also the charges state that he was in some way a caretaker of this girl, maybe a babysitter, so he can’t get away with saying he didn’t know her age. Finally the charges allege that it was done by force. So it wouldn’t matter how old or promiscous the girl was doing anything sexual by force is just plain wrong. I’m not saying he’s guilty but if he is I hope he gets everything that’s coming to him.

i was molested by 2 family members and 1 family friend at ages 8,9,12. i didn’t speak up about it until i turned 26. i wasn’t promiscous, didn’t know a darn thing about sex or molestation. i didn’t ask for it. it hurts that there are trollers on here inclu. “frost” who i suspect has/is sleeping with a teenager as an adult, defending these sick people actions. For those speculatin’ on why come forward years later, considered for a moment that maybe seein’ Shane on tv, triggerered memories of the abuse that Im sure shes tried to forget. That those memories shes suppressed for soo long, has surfaced after seein him on different channels. Him bein on tv could very well be a constant reminder of what he’s done to her and what he could doin to others CURRENTLY.

People need to understand the devastating effects of child abuse and sexual assault which are nice terms for RAPE. It does not matter WHEN it happened or when the person tells someone. The only thing that matters is that they told someone. Too many victims of all kinds of abuse remain silent so the statistics aren’t accurate. These crimes are grossly underreported because too often the victims believe they are either in danger,they ACTUALLY ARE IN DANGER, or are straight up embarassed or blame themselves for what happened. All victims of abuse and rape need to be supported and need to know that they are not alone. If you’re in a room with 10 ppl guaranteed at least half of them have experienced some type of abuse or at least witnessed it. And one or two of those people may be abusers themselves or both (a victim turned abuser). There should be NO limitations on when these crimes can be reported. Someone I know has recently gotten in trouble with the law because his victim went to the police recently and reported that he raped her 30 years ago when she was just 14 and he was 30+ and the nigga can’t even deny it, guilt is written all over his face and body language. I commend all victims who come forward and pray for those who don’t have the strength, courage, or means to do so. In many countries if a woman or child is raped NO ONE not even the POLICE care. Some victims serve jail time if they injure their attackers in self defense(OUTRAGEOUS). Be glad you live in North America when it comes to that but even here people are insensitive to victims and the same problems remain. If Shane did it. He will get his, guaranteeed. And I don’t listen to R. Kelly, don’t even know who the F Pleasure P is, Roman Polanski should get his ass kicked and Woody Allen should burn in hell for supporting him and for being a pedophile himself, marrying his own aopted daughter–you nasty shits! *deep breath*
