That song that Mr. Hudson is singing is actually almost 20 years old…back during my “Duran Duran” phase when I attended UCLA in the early/mid 90’s, I had that single “Forever Young” on CD. I LOVED that song and all my friends thought I was crazy! Glad Jay Z finally validated what I knew back then…cool song. :o)

Girlfriends started to stink towards the end, and it had a slack ending wit it being cancelled like it was a mid-season replacement, so don’t count on there even a made for tv movie. =/.
I hate Jay’s song, Hudson’s voice on this one kills me, I’ve tried to get into the song, but I really don’t understand how ppl LOVE it o_0. But I guess there’s a reason why it launched as a single in the UK first, instead of stateside.
SATC looks like it might be interested, but those chicks gettin kinda old, one more movie and it’ll start lookin like a big budget Golden Girls.

The original song is Forever Young by Alphaville. You should look it up if you’ve never heard it. It was a huge song in Europe in the mid 1980’s. It has a great melody and song very well.
Jay understands hip hop and rap are dead. He has to branch out into pop music or his career is over.

I didnt see the first one and dont plan on seeing this one. Never really got into the whole SITC thing. I would love to see a Girlfriends movie tho. Blue Print 3, its current sales in the U.S. is over 1,350,000 units. The album has topped Billboard Rap Albums chart for 10 consecutives week. The video is set to air overseas only, according to a rep for Atlantic Records, the record company distributing the rapper’s Blueprint 3 album.
