The Holidays are not immune to foolywang material. Norwood Young (singer/we’re still trying to figure out) hosted his annual Holiday White Party at his L.A. home last night.

So Norwood’s friends Luenell (I haven’t sen those type of nails since my 10th grade high school Homecoming dance in New Orleans) and Kim Whitley came to party.
Micheal Strahan *side eye* and Nicole Murphy hit the red carpet. Honestly, I have tears in my eyes from laughter even typing this ish.
Casting guru Robbie Reed and Natalie Cole were there too.
And it was nice of Norwood to have his guests bring an unwrapped toy or toiletry for the L.A. Mission. But on a side note, I’d pay MONEY to see Norwood and Dwight in a strut-off. MONEY I say! Can’t tell him NOTHING in his floor length white mink and embellished pants. WORK.

Videos of Norwood can be seen on youtube. He was a very accomplished singer in the 80s and 90s. Despite his outward appearance, he is a really good singer and has a great voice. I believe I read somewhere that he was raped/molested as a child and has had problems dealing with that issue his entire life. That’s the only information I could dig up on him at the moment, but he is very talented and well connected with the black Hollywood elite.

I can’t believe that so many people don’t know who Norwood is. He had a pretty decent singing career back in the day—he can (or could since I haven’t heard him lately) sing. One of his best songs is called “What Can I Do” where he was featured by Pieces of a Dream back in 1989. I thought he looked so good in the video. Now he looks like a sticky chocolate mess, but he is entertaining. Look him up on YouTube—there is plenty stuff. Yes, his house is a HOT DAMN MESS!! I lived in LA for two years and used to pass his house all the damn time! I had no idea who lived there but the first 10 times I passed it I was like who the freak lives in this tacky ass house with all the naked statues of David in a semi circle? WTF!!
